The penultimate day of my short but beautiful vacation in Santa Maria di Leuca is almost over. A simple vacation made of splash battles in the sea, "bomb" diving competitions from the pier, games of Uno and Dobble on the deckchairs, walks along the seafront and lots of laughter and carefree moments. Long gone are the times when I was looking for strong emotions and unbridled fun in the vacations, now I live in simplicity and I feed on the smiles and happiness of my daughter and my loved ones.

In this post I want to share some photos that I took of my vacation companion: the sea.

Between the sand and the rocks I much prefer the rocks. The entry into the water is less comfortable but the spectacle of the beauty of the sea is amplified by the colors of the seabed.

The sea of Santa Maria di Leuca is full of fish, fish that reach the shore.

I like walking on the rocks because it's a little adventure, you have to be careful not to lose your balance but at the same time you make interesting encounters with crabs and other small marine inhabitants. In the following photo there is a crab about the size of a hand that has allowed itself to be photographed. It is not easy to get so close because especially the larger specimens are very fast to hide in the cracks of the rocks.

Una passeggiata tra gli scogli

È quasi finito il penultimo giorno della mia breve ma bella vacanza a Santa Maria di Leuca. Una vacanza semplice fatta di battaglie di schizzi in mare, gare di tuffi a "bomba" dal pontile, partite a Uno e Dobble sulle sedie a sdraio, passeggiate sul lungomare e tante risate e tanti momenti spensierati. Sono ormai lontani i tempi in cui cercavo nelle vacanze emozioni forti e divertimento sfrenato, adesso vivo di semplicità e mi cibo dei sorrisi e della felicità di mia figlia e delle persone a me care.

In questo post voglio condividere alcune foto che ho scattato al compagno della mia vacanza:il mare.

Tra la sabbia e gli scogli preferisco di gran lunga gli scogli. L'entrata in acqua è meno comoda ma lo spettacolo della bellezza del mare è amplificato dai colori dei fondali.

Il mare di Santa Maria di Leuca è un mare pieno di pesci, pesci che arrivano fino a riva.

Mi piace camminare sugli scogli perché è una piccola avventura, bisogna stare attenti a non perdere l'equilibrio ma allo stesso tempo si fanno incontri interessanti con granchi e altri piccoli abitanti marini. Nella foto seguente c'è un granchio grande più o meno come una mano che si è lasciato fotografare. Non è facile avvicinarsi tanto perché soprattutto gli esemplari più grandi sono velocissimi a rintanarsi nelle fessure degli scogli.
