Blockchain games are one of my passions and I like to keep track and monitor my gaming and investment activity related to all the blockchain-based games I have decided to play and for each game I have created a spreadsheet. Today when I opened the spreadsheet I created for the farming game DCrops I saw the note I had made to myself about the starting date of my investment.

I try to be very precise in my spreadsheets and oddly enough I did not mark the exact date but today is May 27 so I could be wrong by a few days but it has been about a year since I first visited the Dcrops site and bought my first NFT packs.

By the way, in the last week some interesting changes and improvements have been introduced to the game such as the Market section has been improved and is now more functional with the display of card prices in Hive tokens and CROP tokens under each card.

In the last week, changes were also made to the Quests that will now allow you to also receive NFTs and not just Booster Cards.

I will study and evaluate the latest updates that will be the topic of a future post of mine but today and after one year it is time to do some calculations to evaluate my farmer adventure on Dcrop just from the financial point of view to see if my decision to invest in the game in the early stage was a good decision or not.

## Evaluation of my investment in Dcrops after 12 months Any blockchain-based game is never just a game but is also an investment because the game's assets (tokens and NFTs) can be bought and sold freely. To evaluate my investment on Dcrops, I have to compare the **total costs** I incurred with the **total revenue** I got after one year.

Total Investment Cost

To date, I have invested a total of **156.57** **HIVE** tokens with which I have purchased: - **single cards** from the **Market** section of Dcrops. - **34 packs** of **Alpha** cards.

I opened only 14 packs of Alpha cards while I decided not to open 20 packs of cards. The reason why I decided not to open 20 card packs is because of the CROP POWER score which if higher than 20000 points (average score in 15 days) allows to participate in the Holding Rewards ranking which rewards players with a daily reward in HIVE tokens. In fact, not opening 20 packs of cards allowed me to increase my Crop Power score by 40000 points:

• 1 Alpha pack = 2000 CROP POWER
• 20 Alpha packs = 40000 CROP POWER.

Total Revenue Value = Total Assets Value

On Dcrops I have a card collection consisting of 193 NFTs:

• 18 LAND cards.
• 175 SEED cards.

In order to calculate the value of my card collection I have built a table in which, on a fortnightly or monthly basis, I enter the lowest market value for each card in my possession and calculate the total value of my card collection, which, I would like to point out, is an estimated value because the real value is obtained concretely only at the time when the cards are actually sold.

As you can see from the calculations in the table below my card collection has an estimated value using market prices of 344.17 SWAP.HIVE = $158.32

To calculate the value of the Alpha card packs in my possession I take into account the value of the best purchase offer present on Hive Engine/TribalDex because the Alpha card packs have all been sold and long ago from the Shop section of Dcrops and now it is only possible to purchase them on markets outside the game.

Today, May 27, 2022, an Alpha card pack is purchasable as a DCALPHA token.

The value of 1 DCALPHA token is:

• 8.00 SWAP.HIVE = $3.6210480 (Lowest Ask)
• 7.00 SWAP.HIVE = $3.1684170 (Highest BID)

My 20 packs of Alpha cards have a total value of 140 SWAP.HIVE = $64.40.

From my game activity (planting seeds and harvesting crops) I have accumulated a total of 10109,350 CROP tokens.

The CROP tokens are the native tokens of Dcrops and are also second-level tokens of the Hive blockchain.

Today May 27, 2022 1 token CROP has a value of:

• 0.00299898 SWAP.HIVE = $0.0013608 (Lowest Ask)
• 0.00277000 SWAP.HIVE = $0.0012569 (Highest BID)

The total value of CROP tokens in my possession is 28.00 HIVE.

If to the values of the assets I calculated above I also add the value of the rewards I got from the Holding Rewards ranking, I get the total value of the assets in my possession.

The Holding Rewards ranking is the reward mechanism linked to the CROP POWER score with which Dcrops rewards the owners of the assets in the game on a daily basis and is therefore a reward mechanism completely unrelated to active game operations (plant and harvest).

I have a CROP POWER score of 50336 points and the last daily reward I received was 0.079 HIVE.

From the Holding Rewards ranking I have obtained a total of 24.32 HIVE so far.

## Profit and ROI

Contextually with the writing of this report, I collected all the data needed to calculate the financial results of my investment on Dcrops over a year of play/investment.

Total investment cost: 156.57 HIVE: Total value of my card collection: 344.17 SWAP.HIVE (estimated market value). Total value 20 packs of Alpha cards in my possession: 140 SWAP.HIVE. Total value of rewards received from Holding Rewards ranking: 24.32 HIVE Value of CROP tokens in my possession: 28.00 SWAP.HIVE.

The profit I have earned in 12 months of play/investment is 379.92 HIVE = $174.76

If I divide my profit by the total investment cost I get a ROI of 242.65%

## Final Considerations

I am very satisfied with my investment on Dcrops because the financial results are very positive: +379.92 HIVE (Profit) and +242.65% (ROI).

Another equally important aspect is that the time I spent on the game was very little because Dcrops takes very little time.

Looking more deeply at my financial results on Dcrops, it is evident that having entered an early stage was important because most of my profit was due to the increase in value of the NFTs and Alpha card packs in my possession.

If I take into consideration only the game rewards I have obtained in the year the ROI is still positive but much smaller: +33.419%.

In the past few days I have received questions about Dcrops both on discord and in the comments under my previous posts.

To help those who have asked me for advice in my next post on Dcrops, which I will try to write before the start of the next game season, with the help of tables, calculations and evaluations I will answer the following questions:

What is the minimum investment on Dcrops? What are the best combinations of cards to buy? What is the estimated value of a Share point? What is the estimated value of the seasonal reward that a card combination will produce?

Un anno su Dcrops: Profit, ROI e Considerazioni

I giochi blockchain sono una delle mie pasioni e mi piace tenere traccia e monitorare la mia attività di gioco e di investimento relativa a tutti i giochi basati su blockchain in cui ho deciso di giocare e per ogni gioco ho creato un foglio elettronico. Oggi quando ho aperto il foglio di calcolo che ho creato per il gioco di farming DCrops ho notato l'appunto che mi ero segnato sulla data iniziale del mio investimento.

Cerco di essere molto preciso nei miei fogli di calcolo e stranamente non ho segnato la data precisa ma oggi è il 27 maggio e quindi potrei sbagliarmi di qualche giorno ma è passato circa un anno da quando ho visitato per la prima volta il sito di Dcrops e ho comprato i miei primi pacchi di NFT.

Tra l'altro nell'ultima settimana sono state introdotte alcume interessanti modifiche e migliorie al gioco come ad esempio è stata migliorata la sezione Market che adesso è più funzionale con l'indicazione dei prezzi delle carte in token Hive e token CROP sotto ogni carta.

Nell'ultima settimana sono state apportate modifiche anche alle Quests che adesso permetteranno di ricevere anche NFT e non solo Booster Cards.

Per valutare il mio investimento su Dcrops devo confrontare il **totale dei costi** che ho sostenuto con il **totale dei ricavi** che ho ottenuto dopo un anno.

Costo Totale Investimento

Fino ad oggi ho investito un totale di **156.57** token **HIVE** con i quali ho acquistato: - **singole carte** dalla sezione **Market** di Dcrops - **34 paccchi** di carte **Alpha**.

Ho aperto solo 14 pacchi di carte Alpha mentre ho deciso di non aprire 20 pacchi di carte. Il motivo per cui ho deciso di non aprire 20 pacchi carte è il punteggio CROP POWER che se superiore a 20000 punti (punteggio medio in 15 giorni) permette di partecipare alla classifica Holding Rewards che premia i giocatori con una ricompensa giornaliera in token HIVE. Infatti non aprire 20 pacchi di carte mi ha permesso di incrementare il mio punteggio Crop Power di 40000 punti:

• 1 pacco Alpha = 2000 CROP POWER
• 20 pacchi Alpha = 40000 CROP POWER

Valore Totale Ricavi = Valore Totale Assets

Su Dcrops ho una collezione di carte composta da da 193 NFT:

• 18 carte LAND
• 175 carte SEED

Per calcolare il valore della mia collezione di carte mi sono costruito una tabella in cui, con cadenza quindicinale o mensile, inserisco il valore di mercato più basso per ogni carta in mio possesso e calcolo il valore complessivo della mia collezione di carte che, ci tengo a precisare, è un valore stimato perchè il valore reale si ottiene concretamente solo nel momento in cui si vendono effettivamente le carte.

Come puoi vedere dai calcoli presenti nella tabella seguete la mia collezione di carte ha un valore stimato utilizzando i prezzi di mercato di 344.17 SWAP.HIVE = 158.32$

Per calcolare il valore dei pacchi di carte Alpha in mio possesso prendo in considerazione il valore della migliore offerta di acquisto presente su Hive Engine/TribalDex perchè i pacchi di carte Alpha sono stati tutti venduti e già da tempo dalla sezione Shop di Dcrops e ora è possibile acquistarli solo sui mercati esterni al gioco.

Oggi 27 maggio 2022 un pacco di carte Alpha è acquistabile come token DCALPHA.

Il valore di 1 token DCALPHA è di:

• 8.00 SWAP.HIVE = $3.6210480 (Lowest Ask)
• 7.00 SWAP.HIVE = $3.1684170 (Highest BID)

I miei 20 pacchi di carte Alpha hanno un valore totale di 140 SWAP.HIVE = 64.40$.

Dalla mia attività di gioco (piantare semi e raccogliere crops) ho accumulato un totale di 10109.350 token CROP.

I token CROP sono i token nativi di Dcrops e sono anche token di secondo livello della blockchain di Hive.

Oggi 27 maggio 2022 1 token CROP ha un valore di:

• 0.00299898 SWAP.HIVE = $0.0013608 (Lowest Ask)
• 0.00277000 SWAP.HIVE = $0.0012569 (Highest BID)

Il valore totale dei token CROP in mio possesso è di 28.00 HIVE.

Se ai valori degli assets che ho calcolato sopra aggiungo anche il valore delle ricompense di gioco che ho ottenuto dalla classifica Holding Rewards ottengo il valore totale degli assets in mio possesso.

La classifica Holding Rewards è il meccanismo di ricompensa collegato al punteggio CROP POWER con cui Dcrops premia giornalmente i possessori degli assets del gioco e quindi è un meccanismo di ricompensa completamente slegato dalle operazioni attive di gioco (plant e harvest).

Io ho un punteggio CROP POWER di 50336 punti e l'ultima ricompensa giornaliera che ho ricevuto è stata di 0.079 HIVE.

Dalla classifica Holding Rewards ho ottenuto fino ad ora un totale di 24.32 HIVE.

## Profit e ROI

Contestualmente alla scrittura di questo report ho raccolto tutti i dati necessari per calcolare i risultati finanziari del mio investimento su Dcrops in un anno di gioco/investimento.

Costo totale investimento: 156.57 HIVE: Valore totale della mia collezione di carte: 344.17 SWAP.HIVE (valore di mercato stimato) Valore totale 20 pacchi di carte Alpha in mio possesso: 140 SWAP.HIVE Valore totale delle ricompense ricevute dalla classifica Holding Rewards: 24.32 HIVE Valore dei token CROP in mio possesso: 28.00 SWAP.HIVE.

Il profitto che ho ottenuto in 12 mesi di gioco/investimento è di 379.92 HIVE = 174.76$

Se divido il mio profitto per il costo totale dell'investimento ottengo un ROI del 242.65%

## Considerazioni Finali

Sono molto soddisfatto del mio investimento su Dcrops perchè i risultati finanziari sono molto positivi: +379.92 HIVE (Profitto) e +242.65% (ROI).

Un altro aspetto altrettanto importante è che il tempo che ho dedicato al gioco è stato davvero poco perchè Dcrops richiede davvero poco tempo.

Analizzando in modo più approfondito i miei risultati finanziari su Dcrops è evidente che essere entrato in una fase iniziale è stato importante perchè la maggior parte del mio profitto è dovuta all'aumento di valore degli NFT e dei pacchi di carte Alpha in mio possesso.

Se prendo in considerazione solo le ricompense di gioco che ho ottenuto in anno il ROI è comunque positivo ma molto più piccolo: +33.419%.

Nei giorni scorsi ho ricevuto domande su Dcrops sia su discord che nei commenti sotto i miei precedenti post.

Per aiutare chi mi ha chiesto consigli nel mio prossimo post su Dcrops, che cercherò di scrivere prima dell'inizio della prossima stagione di gioco, grazie all'ausilio di tabelle, calcoli e valutazioni risponderò alle seguenti domande:

Qual'è l'investimento minimo su Dcrops? Quali sono le migliori combinazioni di carte da comprare? Qual'è il valore stimato di un punto Share? Qual'è il valore stimato della ricompensa stagionale che produrrà una combinazione di carte?
