The topic of my post today is a game built and developed on the Hive blockchain that is still in development (Closed Beta) but is already playable and it is possible to collect daily game rewards. The game is BANG! Defense, a Tower Defense Game, simple and immediate to play developed by @choof (creator) and the @hashkings team. The goal of the game is to defend a tower from attacks by birds, animated bombs, bouncing pink balls and other funny characters who want to destroy the tower. Your weapon is a Beta Blaster and you must hit the attackers before they reach the tower.

## Requirements

Currently BANG! Defense is in the Closed Beta stage of development:

• you can play, compete with other players and collect in-game rewards.
• you can only use the NFT Beta Blasters which are a small part of the NFTs that will be usable in the game in the future.

The Closed Beta phase started on June 10 but I only started playing yesterday. BANG! Defense is a Skill game play to earn and is not a free to play game. You can try the game totally free in the Demo Mode but if you want to compete with other players and want to collect in-game rewards you have to buy an NFT Beta Blaster.

The requirements to play BANG! Defense are as follows:

• 1. You must have a Hive account. If you do not have a Hive account you can create one totally free and follow one of the two step-by-step guides I wrote above:

  • HIVE: Registration with Hive On Board and First Login with PeakD

  • HIVE: Registration with Leofinance + Leofinance tutorial

• 2. You need to install Hive Keychain Login mode on BANG! Defense: only Hive Keychain.

- **3. You need to purchase an NFT Beta Blaster** ## The NFT Beta Blasters

There are four NFT Beta Blasters currently usable in the game and they have different rarities. The four types of Beta Blasters have different in-game statistics that become better performers as rarity increases (common, rare, epic and legendary)

There are two ways to obtain an NFT Beta Blaster:

Would it be better to buy a pack or a Beta Blaster?

If you want to get an NFT Beta Blaster of common type, you can spend:

• $4.50 to buy a Common Pack that contains:

  • 1x Beta Blaster (common)
  • 2x General Crates (obtainable and openable in the future)
  • 2x Keys (needed to open the Crates).

• 7.5 SWAP.HIVE = $3.0975 to buy a single Beta Blaster of common type

If you want to get an NFT Beta Blaster of rare type you can spend:

• $13.50 to buy a Rare Pack that contains:

  • 1x Beta Rare Blaster
  • 2x General Crates (obtainable and openable in the future)
  • 2x Weapon Crates (obtainable and openable in the future)
  • 1x Tower Crates (obtainable and openable in the future)
  • 5x Keys (needed to open the Crates)

• 30 SWAP.HIVE = $12.39 to buy a single Beta Blaster of rare type

If you want to get an NFT Beta Blaster of type epic you can spend:

• $50 to buy an Epic Pack that contains:

  • 1x Beta Epic Blaster
  • 12x General Crates (obtainable and openable in the future)
  • 7x Weapon Crates (obtainable and openable in the future)
  • 5x Tower Crates (obtainable and openable in the future)
  • 24x Keys (needed to open the Crates)

• 175 SWAP.HIVE = $72.2750 to buy a single Beta Blaster of epic type

If you want to get an NFT Beta Blaster type legendary you only have one option because the legendary packs were all sold on the first day of the presale.

There are two NFT Legendary Beta Blaster NFTs for sale on NFTMart and the lowest sale price is 400 HIVE = $165.20.

The choice to buy a single NFT or a pack containing multiple NFTs is obviously subjective. I do not know the price at which Crates will be offered for sale in the future but if I assume a highly improbable and downward price of one dollar per Crates it is clearly evident and there is no need to make assumptions and calculations that it is cheaper to buy a pack instead of a single beta blaster ;) I purchased a legendary pack during the first day of the presale and do not need to purchase a pack or a Beta Blaster today but if I were to start investing in BANG Defense today I would do so by purchasing one of the available packs.

## My first games and my first rewards

The Closed Beta phase started on June 10 but I only started playing yesterday. The steps I took to play my first game were as follows:

• 1. I did the login (arrow number 1 image below).
• 2. Then I clicked on DASHBOARDS in the upper left corner (arrow number 2 following image)
• 3. Then I activated my NFT legendary Beta Blaster by clicking on Active Weapons (arrow number 3 next image)
• 4. Then I clicked on Play (arrow number 4 next image)

On my first day, I played about 15 games. Understanding how to Play BANG! Defense is very simple because the dynamics of the game are very simple.

The commands are as follows:

• To shoot: click left mouse button.
• To aim: move the mouse cursor.

Each enemy eliminated allows you to earn game dollars displayed in the Balance section (these are game dollars and are not transferable or saleable tokens). With game dollars, you can improve the Beta Blaster's statistics by pressing the following keys on the keyboard:

• 1: Damage
• 2: Firerate
• 3: Bullet Speed
• 4: Magazine Size
• 5: Reload Time

Each upgrade level has a cost that increases as the upgrade level increases.

The game ends when the green bar above the tower reaches 0.

At the end of each game the final score is displayed, and in the following image you can see the score I achieved in my first game.

The MATCH SCORE is the game score. The FINAL SCORE is the score valid for calculating game rewards and which takes into account the values of Accuracy, Wawe and total Collection Power (CP).

All simple, right?

Today I received my first in-game rewards.

On BANG! Defense there is a daily Reward Pool consisting of a certain amount of BUDS tokens. The BUDS tokens are second-level tokens on the Hive blockchain and are the same tokens that players who play Hashkings receive as rewards.

In the LEADERBOARDS section, you can see the total number of BUDS tokens that constitute the daily Reward Pool.

The Reward Pool is divided into two (50%/50%) to reward active players daily based on two rankings:

• High Score ranking
• Total Score Leaderboard

As my first daily reward, I received a total of 1249,477 BUDS.

• 345,955 BUDS (DAILY HIGH SCORE BUDS POOL).
• 903,522 BUDS (DAILY TOTAL SCORE BUDS POOL)

Today, July 13, 2022, the value of 1249.477 BUDS is 0.28865 SWAP.HIVE = $0.1192.

## Final Considerations

I have only played about 20 games so far and my opinion of BANG! Defense is very positive. BANG! Defense is an easy game to play and also very fun. BANG! Defense is the classic game that I refer to as "chase away thoughts." When I have some free time I will definitely play a few games for fun and distraction from work commitments. On April 1, 2022, I purchased 1 legendary pack and was lucky because the 120 available packs were all sold out after a few minutes.

I spent 103,306 SWAP.HIVE on my purchase.

Today after only a few games played I am glad I made this investment because in my opinion BANG! Defense is a game that has potential because it is easy to play and it is fun. So far I have reached a maximum score of 110005 points and I have finished at most Wawe 8.

Ci sono due NFT Legendary Beta Blaster in vendita su NFTMart e il prezzo di vendita più basso è di 400 HIVE = 165.20$.

La scelta di acquistare un singolo NFT o un pack che contiene più NFT è ovviamente soggettiva. Non conosco il prezzo a cui saranno messi in vendita i Crates in futuro ma se ipotizzo un prezzo altamente improbabile e al ribasso di un dollaro per Crates è chiaramente evidente e non c'è bisogno di fare ipotesi e calcoli che sia più conveniente acquistare un pack invece che un singolo beta blaster ;) Io ho acquistato un legendary pack durante il primo giorno della prevendita e non ho bisogno oggi di acquistare un pack o un Beta Blaster ma se dovessi iniziare oggi ad investire su BANG Defense lo farei acquistando uno dei pack disponibili.

## My first games and my first rewards

La fase Closed Beta è iniziata il 10 giugno ma io ho iniziato a giocare solo ieri. Le operazioni che ho effettuato per giocare la mia prima partita sono state le seguenti:

• 1. Ho fatto il login (freccia numero 1 immagine seguente)
• 2. Poi ho cliccato su DASHBOARDS in alto a sinistra (freccia numero 2 immagine seguente)
• 3. Poi ho attivato il mio NFT legendary Beta Blaster cliccando su Active Weapons (freccia numero 3 immagine seguente)
• 4. Poi ho cliccato su Play (freccia numero 4 immagine seguente)

Nel mio primo giorno ho giocato circa 15 partite. Capire come Giocare a BANG! Defense è molto semplice perchè è molto semplice la dinamica di gioco.

I comandi sono i seguenti:

• Per sparare: click pulsante sinistro del mouse
• Per mirare: muovere il cursore del mouse

Ogni nemico eliminato permette di guadagnare dei dollari di gioco visualizzati nella sezione Balance (sono dollari di gioco e non sono token trasferibili o vendibili). Con i dollari di gioco è possibile migliorare le statistiche del Beta Blaster premendo i seguenti tasti sulla tastiera:

• 1: Damage
• 2: Firerate
• 3: Bullet Speed
• 4: Magazine Size
• 5: Reload Time

Ogni livello di upgrade ha un costo che aumenta con l'aumentare del livello di upgrade.

La partita termina quando la barra verde sopra la torre arriva a 0.

Alla fine di ogni partita viene visualizzato il punteggio finale e nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere il punteggio che ho totalizzato nella mia prima partita.

Il MATCH SCORE è il punteggio di gioco. Il FINAL SCORE è il punteggio valevole per il calcolo delle ricompense di gioco e che tiene conto dei valori di Accuracy, Wawe e total Colletion Power (CP).

Tutto semplice vero?

Oggi ho ricevuto le mie prime ricompense di gioco.

Su BANG! Defense c'è una Reward Pool giornaliera costituita da un certo quantitativo di token BUDS. I token BUDS sono token di secondo livello della blockchain di Hive e sono gli stessi token che ricevono come ricompensa i giocatori che giocano ad Hashkings.

Nella sezione LEADERBOARDS è possibile vedere il totale dei token BUDS che costituiscono la Reward Pool giornaliera.

La Reward Pool è divisa in due (50%/50%) per premiare giornalmente i giocatori attivi in base a due classifiche:

• Classifica High Score
• Classifica Total Score

Come prima ricompensa giornaliera ho ricevuto un totale di 1249.477 BUDS.

## Considerazioni Finali

Ho giocato solo circa 20 partite fino ad ora e la mia opinione su BANG! Defense è molto positiva. BANG! Defense è un gioco semplice da giocare e anche molto divertente. BANG! Defense è il classico gioco che io definisco "scacciapensieri". Quando avrò un pò di tempo libero farò sicuramente qualche partita per divertirmi e distrarmi dagli impegni lavorativi. Il 1 aprile 2022 ho acquistato 1 legendary pack e sono stato fortunato perchè i 120 pacchi disponibili sono stati tutti venduti dopo pochi minuti.

Per il mio acquisto ho speso 103.306 SWAP.HIVE

Oggi dopo poche partite giocate sono contento di aver fatto questo investimento perchè secondo me BANG! Defense è un gioco che ha potenziale perchè è semplice da giocare ed è divertente. Fino ad ora ho totalizzato un punteggio massimo di 110005 punti e sono arrivato al massimo al Wawe 8.
