BUDS: One Token, Many Use Cases

Hashkings is an ecosystem of games built and developed on the most beautiful blockchain there is: Hive ;)

The Hashkings game ecosystem is expanding and today November 7, 2022 includes 6 games:

Haskings Farming Game
Raids
Bang! Defense
Farming Wars
Infernal Coliseum
HK Lottery

All the games I listed above are playable except Farming Wars which is not yet playable but will be soon and for which the presale is currently underway.

All games in the Hashings ecosystem are accessible from the main menu on https://farm.hashkings.app/ and all games are connected by one or more assets (one or more tokens and/or one or more NFTs).

Among all Hashkings assets there is one that connects all games: the BUDS token.

The BUDS token is the main protagonist of this post of mine but before introducing the topics I will cover today I want to provide the link of the step-by-step guides that I wrote a few days ago and that I hope will be useful to those of my readers who are either new to Hashkings or are not familiar with the Hashkings ecosystem and want to start discovering it.

## What is the BUDS token

The BUDS token is a second-level token of the Hive blockchain and is the token that connects all the games in the Hashkings ecosystem because in every game it has at least one use case.

The BUDS token, like all Hive's second-level tokens, can be bought, sold or transferred from one of Hive's second-level token DEXs such as Hive Engine, TribalDex, LeoDex, ...

Today, November 7, 1 BUDS token has the value of:

0.00024863 SWAP.HIVE = $0.0001226 (Lowest Ask)
0.00023001 SWAP.HIVE = $0.0001134 (Highest Bid)

BUDS tokens can only be created by the farming activity:

using the combination Avatar + land plot + seed + hkwater...

...and performing the Harvest operation.

This means that the emission of new BUDS tokens is limited because the number of land plots is limited.

Every week @hashkings publishes a report with all the data related to BUDS tokens and in the following image you can see the latest data published on November 1, 2022: BUDS STATS AND METRICS - 1/11/2022.

## The many use cases of BUDS tokens

Today, BUDS tokens have many use cases. The number of use cases has gradually increased as the number of games in the Hashkings ecosystem has increased.

### 1st Use Case: Payment method + Discount (in-game stores)

BUDS tokens can be used as a payment method to purchase the assets (NFTs and tokens) of all games in the Hashkings ecosystem from the in-game stores. From the in-game stores of Hashkings games, it is possible to use other tokens as a payment method (SWAP.HIVE, SWAP.HBD, PIZZA, ...) but using BUDS tokens allows you to receive a discount on your purchase (10%-20%).

For example, purchasing an NFT Cross Joint from the Crafting section of Hashkings Farming Game has a cost of $0.80 payable in HIVE, SWAP.HIVE, SPS, SWAP.HBD, ... Purchasing the NFT Cross Joint using SWAP.HIVE tokens as the payment method has a cost of 1,655 SWAP.HIVE Purchasing the NFT Cross Joint using BUDS tokens as a payment method has a cost of 5450,450 BUDS = 1.3533 SWAP.HIVE

For example, buying a chest of the game Infernal Coliseum using BUDS tokens allows you to receive a discount of 10%.

### 2nd Use Case: Payment method on NFTMart

BUDS tokens can be used as a payment method at https://nftm.art/buy/hkfarm to purchase assets from Hashking Farming Game (Avatars, Consumables, Gear, Land Plots and Seeds) and to purchase assets from Bang Defense.

### 3rd Use Case: Staking

BUDS tokens can be put into staking at https://farm.hashkings.app/staking to get BUDSX tokens (BUDS -> Staking -> BUDSX).

The Unstake operation allows you to receive an amount of BUDS tokens that will most likely be greater than the amount of BUDS tokens initially staked and will depend on the difference of the initial and final BUDS:BUDSX ratio.

### 4th Use Case: Purchase of Lottery Tickets

BUDS tokens can be used to purchase **tickets** to participate in the new **Lottery** game by Hashkings (HK Lotto).

### 5th Use Case: Burning BUDS to get MOTA tokens

The BUDS tokens can be burned to obtain MOTA tokens, which are the tokens that when staked (from a minimum amount) allow you to receive a certain amount of Seed type NFTs each week.

Important note: Starting in January 2023, MOTA tokens will be gradually discontinued (possibility of burning them), and the stacked MOTA token pool will be progressively replaced by a stacked BUDS token pool that will have the same functionality as the stacked MOTA token pool has now.

6th Use Case: Diesel Pools

I token BUDS possono essere aggiunti come liquidità nelle liquidity pools **BUDS:SWAP.HIVE**, **MOTA:BUDS** e **HKWATER:BUDS**.

I chose to add liquidity in the BUDS:SWAP.HIVE pool, which is the only pool that currently distributes daily rewards. In the following image you can see the liquidity I have within the BUDS:SWAP.HIVE pool (My Share: 0.191%)

The BUDS:SWAP.HIVE pool has an APR of 16.038% which is not very high but will soon increase because the rewards for liquidity providers like me will be increased by 500% as announced by @hk-liuke96 on Discord (see screenshot below).

### 7th Use Case: Tradability

BUDS tokens can be bought, sold, or transferred from one of Hive's second-level token DEXs without transaction costs because Hive has no transaction costs!

## My strategy for BUDS tokens.

When I started investing in Hashkings (February 2022) there were only two games:

HK Farming Game
Raids.

Today, after about 9 months, Hashkings ecosystem game projects have tripled in number. If the collaborations and if the Hashkings ecosystem game projects continue to increase in number in the future and/or if the number of players increases the BUDS tokens will continue to gain new use cases and as a result may also increase in value.

I personally consider very positively the development work done by the Hashkings team so far and especially during the last 9 months. I am an active player on Hashking Farming game, Raids, BANG! Defense and soon I will try the other games as well.

My strategy related to BUDS tokens will be an accumulation/use strategy. I have decided to use the BUDS tokens I receive as rewards from my game activity in the following way:

20% I will use it to increase the number of XP points of my Avatar
the 40% I will add it as liquidity to the BUD:SWAP.HIVE pool.
the 40% I will put into staking.

To increase the amount of BUDS tokens in my possession, on April 27 I delegated 102 HP to the @hk-curation account from which I receive as a reward an amount of about 50 BUDS tokens per day.

Today I decided to increase my delegation to 400 HP.

Currently the daily emission of BUDS tokens is relatively high but the average percentage of burned BUDS tokens is also increasing. In fact, all BUDS tokens used to purchase NFTs from the in-game stores are burned. This means that if new games are developed in the future or if the number of people who decide to invest in games in the Hashings ecosystem increases the number of burned BUDS tokens should also increase... Obviously my choices are absolutely personal and are not financial advice and if BUDS tokens will increase in value in the future my strategy will prove to be right so only time will tell.

Much will depend on the future appeal of currently playable games and games in development.

Starting today, I will monitor the trend of the market value of BUDS tokens based on which I will adapt my strategy of accumulating and using BUDS tokens.

**Hashkings** è un **ecosistema di giochi** costruito e sviluppato sulla blockchain più bella che c'è: **Hive** ;) L'ecosistema dei giochi di Hashkings è in espansione e oggi 7 novembre 2022 comprende **6 giochi**: - **Haskings Farming Game** - **Raids** - **Bang! Tutti i giochi che ho elencato sopra sono giocabili tranne Farming Wars che non è ancora giocabile ma lo sarà presto e per il quale è attualmente è in corso la presale.

Tra tutti gli assets di Hashkings c'è un token che collega tutti i giochi: il token BUDS.

## Cos'è il token BUDS

Il token BUDS è un token di secondo livello della blockchain di Hive ed è il token che collega tutti i giochi dell'ecosistema di Hashkings perchè in ogni gioco ha almeno un caso d'uso.

Il token BUDS, come tutti i token di secondo livello di Hive, può essere acquistato, venduto o trasferito da uno dei DEXs dei token di secondo livello di Hive come Hive Engine, TribalDex, LeoDex, ...

Oggi 7 novembre 1 token BUDS ha il valore di:

0.00024863 SWAP.HIVE = $0.0001226 (Lowest Ask)
0.00023001 SWAP.HIVE = $0.0001134 (Highest Bid)

I token BUDS possono essere creati solo dall'attività di farming:

utilizzando la combinazione Avatar + land plot + seed + hkwater...

...ed effettuando l'operazione di Harvest.

Questo vuol dire che l'emissione di nuovi token BUDS è limitata perchè il numero di land plots è limitato.

## I tanti casi d'uso dei token BUDS

Oggi i token BUDS hanno tanti casi d'uso. Il numero dei casi d'uso è aumentato progressivamente con l'aumentare del numero dei giochi dell'ecosistema di Hashkings.

### 1° Caso d'uso: Metodo di pagamento + Sconto (in-game stores)

I token BUDS possono essere utilizzati come metodo di pagamento per acquistare gli assets (NFTs, tokens e tickets) di tutti i giochi dell'ecosistema di Hashkings dagli in-game stores. Dagli in-game stores dei giochi di Hashkings è possibile utilizzare altri token come metodo di pagamento (SWAP.HIVE, SWAP.HBD, PIZZA, ...) ma utilizzare i token BUDS permette di ricevere uno sconto sull'acquisto (10%-20%).

Ad esempio acquistare un NFT Cross Joint dalla sezione Crafting di Hashkings Farming Game ha un costo di 0.80$ pagabile in HIVE, SWAP.HIVE, SPS, SWAP.HBD, ... Acquistare l'NFT Cross Joint utilizzando i token SWAP.HIVE come metodo di pagamento ha un costo di 1.655 SWAP.HIVE Acquistare l'NFT Cross Joint utilizzando i token BUDS come metodo di pagamento ha un costo di 5450.450 BUDS = 1.3533 SWAP.HIVE

Ad esempio acquistare un chest del gioco Infernal Coliseum utilizzando i token BUDS permette di ricevere uno sconto del 10%.

### 2° Caso d'uso: Metodo di pagamento su NFTMart

I token BUDS possono essere utilizzati come metodo di pagamento su https://nftm.art/buy/hkfarm per acquistare gli assets di Hashking Farming Game (Avatars, Consumables, Gear, Land Plots e Seeds) e per acquistare gli assets di Bang Defense.

### 3° Caso d'uso: Staking

I token BUDS possono essere messi in staking su https://farm.hashkings.app/staking per ottenere token BUDSX (BUDS -> Staking -> BUDSX).

L'operazione di Unstake permette di ricevere un quantitativo di token BUDS che sarà con molta probabilità maggiore rispetto al quantitativo di token BUDS messo inizialmente in stake e che dipenderà dalla differenza del rapporto BUDS:BUDSX iniziale e finale.

Il meccanismo che governa la funzionalità di staking dei token BUDS è spiegata molto bene nella sezione Docs di Hashkings: https://docs.hashkings.app/getting-started/hk-games-and-features/buds-staking

### 4° Caso d'uso: Acquisto dei Lottery Tickets

I token BUDS possono essere utilizzati per acquistare i **tickets** per partecipare al nuovo gioco **Lottery** di Hashkings (HK Lotto).

### 5° Caso d'uso: Bruciatura dei BUDS per ottenere i token MOTA

I token BUDS possono essere bruciati per ottenere i token MOTA che sono i token che se messi in stake (a partire da un quantitativo minimo) permettono di ricevere un certo quantitativo di NFT di tipo Seed ogni settimana.

Nota importante: a partire da gennaio 2023 i token MOTA saranno progressivamente abbandonati (possibilità di bruciarli) e la pool dei token MOTA staked sarà progressivamente sostituita da una pool di token BUDS stacked che avrà la stessa funzionalità che ha ora la pool dei token MOTA staked.

### 6° Caso d'uso: Diesel Pools

Io ho scelto di aggiungere liquidità nella pool BUDS:SWAP.HIVE che è l'unica pool che al momento distibuisce ricompense giornaliere. Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere la liquidità che ho all'interno della pool BUDS:SWAP.HIVE (My Share: 0.191%)

La pool BUDS:SWAP.HIVE ha un APR del 16.038% che non è molto alto ma presto aumenterà perchè le ricompense per i liquidity providers come me saranno aumentate del 500% come annunciato da @hk-liuke96 su Discord (vedi screenshot seguente).

## La mia strategia per i token BUDS

Quando ho iniziato a investire su Hashkings (febbraio 2022) c'erano solo due giochi:

HK Farming Game
Raids.

Oggi, dopo circa 9 mesi, i progetti di gioco dell'ecosistema di Hashkings sono triplicati in numero. Se le collaborazioni e se i progetti di gioco dell'ecosistema di Hashkings continueranno ad aumentare di numero anche in futuro e/o se amenterà il numero dei giocatori i token BUDS continueranno ad acquisire nuovi casi d'uso e di conseguenza potrebbero aumentare anche il loro valore.

Personalmente considero molto positivamente il lavoro di sviluppo fatto dal team di Hashkings fino ad ora e soprattutto durante gli ultimi 9 mesi. Sono un giocatore attivo su Hashking Farming game, Raids, BANG! Defense e presto proverò anche gli altri giochi.

La mia strategia relativa ai token BUDS sarà una strategia di accumulo/utilizzo. Ho deciso di utilizzare i token BUDS che ricevo come ricompensa dalla mia attività di gioco nel seguente modo:

il 20% lo utilizzerò per aumentare il numero di punti XP del mio Avatar
il 40% lo aggiungerò come liquidità alla pool BUD:SWAP.HIVE
il 40% lo metterò in staking

Per aumentare il quantitativo di token BUDS in mio possesso, il 27 aprile ho delegato 102 HP all'account @hk-curation da cui ricevo come ricompensa un quantitativo di circa 50 token BUDS al giorno.

Oggi ho deciso di incrementare la mia delega a 400 HP.

Attualmente l'emissione giornaliera dei token BUDS è abbastanza alta ma è anche in aumento la percentuale media di token BUDS bruciati. Infatti tutti i token BUDS utilizzati per acquistare NFTs dagli stores interni ai giochi vengono bruciati. Questo vuol dire che se in futuro saranno sviluppati nuovi giochi o se il numero di chi deciderà di investire nei giochi dell'ecosistema di Hashings aumenterà dovrebbe aumentare anche il numero di token BUDS bruciati... Ovviamente le mie scelte sono assolutamente personali e non sono consigli finanziari e sei i token BUDS aumenteranno di valore in futuro la mia strategia si dimostrerà giusta e quindi solo il tempo potrà dirlo.

Molto dipenderà dall'appeal che avranno in futuro i giochi attualmente giocabili e i giochi in via di sviluppo.

A partire da oggi monitorerò l'andamento del valore di mercato dei token BUDS in base al quale adatterò la mia strategia di accumulo e di utilizzo dei token BUDS.
