Yesterday 15 November another season of Splinterlands came to an end. I've lost count of the number of seasons I've completed, but I'm still having as much fun as I did in the first season, or maybe even more, because now with the rental market, the airdrop of SPS tokens and the ongoing pre-sale of Chaos Legion card packs, the game play and financial aspects of Splinterlands to consider have grown in number compared to the past and so the fun is definitely greater.
Before I share my thoughts on the season that just ended I want to update my readers and especially those who are not very familiar with the English language with the updates published by @splinterlands yesterday in his latest post:
Chaos Legion Updates
During the previous Splinterlands AMAs (Ask Me Anything) news was announced regarding:
- the purchase of Chaos Legion card packs after the end of the presale.
- the use of VOUCHER tokens after the end of the presale.
The updates are now official and are as follows:
The presale will end in nine days and 10 hours. Checking the expiry time is easy and can be done at any time by looking at the counter in the SHOP section of the Splinterlands website (https://splinterlands.com/?p=shop&tab=).
The new Chaos Legion cards are expected to descend upon the Splinterlands on Wednesday, December 8th, 2021.
New Ranked Play Format (January 2021)
As announced in previous Splinterlands posts there will be two different Ranked Battle formats in the future:
- old format: all cards from all collections can be used in battle.
- new format: only Untamed, Dice and Chaos Legion cards and later collections can be used in battle.
The launch of the new Ranked Battle format will not take place at the same time as the opening of the Chaos Legion card packs, but will take place afterwards. There is no exact date, but the new format is scheduled to launch in January 2022.
The new formats are expected to be completed and released in January 2022.
Sale of Packs - Phase 2 (token VOUCHER phase 2)
Phase 2 of the Chaos Legion Packs Sale will begin on 8 December. VOUCHER tokens will continue to be distributed and will be required to purchase CHAOS LEGION packs during Phase 2 of the sale until the total sale of 3 million Chaos Legion packs is completed (1 million pre-sale + 2 million Phase 2). Therefore, the following equation will also apply during phase 2.
The airdrop of VOUCHER tokens will end today, November 16, 2021, but will restart on December 8 with a distribution twice as high as the pre-sale.
Voucher token distribution mechanism during the presale:
33333,333 tokens per day / total SPS staked * SPS staked by player
Voucher token distribution mechanism during Phase 2 of the card pack sale:
66666,666 tokens per day / total SPS staked * SPS staked by player
Therefore SPS staked tokens and VOUCHER tokens will continue to be important for the purchase of CHAOS LEGION card packs until 3 million card packs are sold.
In addition, during phase 2 of the Chaos Legion sale:
- it will no longer be possible to get the 10% discount by using SPS tokens for the purchase of card packs.
- Only purchases made with credits will be eligible for affiliate rewards.
Sale Packs - Phase 3
(VOUCHER tokens no longer required but...)
As soon as phase 2 is finished, the third sales phase will begin. In the third sale phase the VOUCHER tokens will no longer be the indispensable requisite to buy packs of cards, but they will continue to be useful because they will be the requisite to take advantage of the bonuses for the purchase of multiple packs.
For example, someone who buys 100 packs of cards will only get a bonus of 10 packs of cards if he has 10 VOUCHER tokens to use.
This means that the distribution of VOUCHER tokens will continue even after the end of phase 2 of the Chaos Legion card pack sale, even if the distribution mechanism changes:
20000 VOUCHER tokens per day / total SPS staked * SPS staked by player
After the 2M VOUCHER tokens are distributed over 30 days in phase 2 of the pack sale (even if the 2M packs have not yet been sold), VOUCHER tokens will continue to be distributed at the rate of 20,000 tokens per day to staked SPS holders indefinitely.
Doctor Blight Card Airdrop
The battle statistics of the Doctor Blight card have been confirmed (image below).
It will be possible to make the Airdrop Claim starting on 8 December 2021.
Considerations
There are only a few days left until the end of the presale and I have decided not to participate but only for my own personal buying strategy. Splinterlands is my favourite blockchain-based game and I still see a lot of potential in the project.
I expressed all my considerations and evaluations in my previous post:
Presumably, during phase 2 and without the benefits of pre-sale, VOUCHER tokens should cost much less than they do today.
Today November 16, 2021 1 VOUCHER token has a value of 19,230 SWAP.HIVE (Highest Bid) = $17,095
The value of VOUCHER tokens is slightly down from a few days ago (see chart below)
So far I have sold 53.89 VOUCHER tokens and made a profit of 1100.39 SWAP.HIVE but I still have 14.83 VOUCHER tokens to sell and I am considering whether to sell them now or wait two or three days.
Only time will tell me right or wrong, but either way Splinterlands will have entertained me because I love calculating and predicting ;)
My End of Season Statistics and Considerations
I have just finished the season of Splinterlands in the Diamond III league, which is the highest league that my Power Score allows me to reach. I could actually have a Power Score of 325000 points but I prefer to rent some of my cards to other players to get a daily income in DEC tokens.
I therefore finished my season in the Diamond III league and placed myself in position number 1231 in the Diamond league ranking with a rating of 2829 points.
During the last day of the season I could try to increase my Power score through card rentals to try to reach the Diamond II league.
Advancing in the Diamond II league would allow me to receive 10 additional chests, which according to the calculation on https://www.splintercards.com/tool-lootchest.html had an estimated value of 57 DEC tokens per chest and a total value of 570 DEC tokens (as of November 15).
By the way, finding rental cards with a good Collection Power/DEC ratio is now very easy thanks to the very useful Peakmonsters website. From the Rent section of Peakmonsters (https://peakmonsters.com/rentals ) you can

But I decided to stop in the Diamond III league because the season ended on Sunday and Sunday is the day I dedicate totally to my family and my daughter.
In the season that ended yesterday I had fewer battles than in the previous season: 219 battles compared to 266 in the previous season. I had fewer battles but my winrate improved slightly: 52.51% (51.88% in the previous season).
My end of season reward
The reward for players who finish the season in the Diamond III league is 40 chests. The chests can contain three types of rewards: Reward collection cards, DEC tokens and Potions.
The probability of finding a card in the chests is 50% (starting with the Silver III+ league).
In the following image you can see the cards I found inside the 40 chests I opened.
I found 18 cards out of 40 chests with an average slightly below the statistical probability.
I found:
- 16 common cards
- 1 common card in Gold version: Pelacor Bandit
- 1 rare card
The total value of the cards I found inside the chests is $14.590 (previous season: $6.06)
DEC and Potions
In the remaining 22 chests I found:
- 2 legendary potions
- 4 alchemical potions
- a total of 141 DEC tokens.
Today 16 November 2021 the value of 141 DEC tokens is 1.56 HIVE (Highest BID on LeoDex/HiveEngine/TribalDex)
The dollar value of 115 DEC tokens is $1.53.
The total value of my end-of-season reward is the result of the sum of the following items:
- Total value of cards found in chests: 14,590 $.
- total value of DEC tokens found in the chests: 1.53 $
The profit I got from my end of season reward alone was 14.590 $ + 1.53 $ = 16.12 $ (previous season: 6.06$)
The end-of-season reward was much better than the previous one.
Thanks to the useful website: https://kiokizz.github.io/Splinterlands/seasonReportCard I can calculate the total amount of DEC tokens I earned during the season (15 days): Total Ranked Play Rewards: 9963 DEC tokens Total Rental earnings: 5042,736 DEC tokens.
In 15 days I earned a total of 15005 DEC tokens with a dollar value of $163.32. Considering only the DEC tokens I got as a reward from my gaming activity and my rental activity I earned a daily income of $10.88.
In the next season I will try to improve this result.
Playing and earning is a combination that I didn't know and I didn't think was possible before I started my adventure on Splinterlands and the fact that I receive rewards as a result of my gaming activity makes every daily or end of season reward always good ;)
Any game that involves the purchase of cards and tokens is never a simple game but it is also an investment and should be considered as such. I am not a financial consultant and if you decide to invest in the game of Splinterlands you do it for your own choice, after having made your personal evaluations and considered all possible risk factors.
My advice is to always invest only what you can afford to lose with a light heart.

Aggiornamenti Chaos Legion + Considerazioni sulla fine di stagione
Ieri 15 novembre è terminata un'altra stagione di Splinterlands. Ormai ho perso il conto delle stagioni che ho completato ma mi diverto ancora come la prima stagione o forse anche di più perchè adesso con il mercato del noleggio, con l'airdrop dei token SPS e con la prevendita in corso dei pacchi di carte Chaos Legion gli aspetti di gioco e gli aspetti finanziari di Splinterlands sono molti di più rispetto al passato e quindi il divertimento è decisamente maggiore.
Prima di condividere le mie considerazioni sulla stagione appena conclusa voglio aggiornare i miei lettori e in particolare chi non ha molta dimestichezza con la lingua inglese con gli aggiornamenti pubblicati da @splinterlands ieri nel suo ultimo post:
Aggiornamenti Chaos Legion
Termine fine prevendita
Nel corso delle precedenti AMA (Ask Me Anything) di Splinterlands erano state preannunciate delle novità riguardanti:
- l'acquisto dei pacchi di carte Chaos Legion dopo la fine della prevendita
- l'utilizzo dei token VOUCHER dopo il termine della prevendita. Adesso gli aggiornamenti sono ufficiali e sono i seguenti:
La prevendita terminerà fra nove giorni e 10 ore. Controllare la scadenza è semplice ed è possibile farlo in ogni momento guardando il contatore presente nella sezione SHOP del sito di Splinterlands (https://splinterlands.com/?p=shop&tab=).
Data apertura pacchi Chaos Legion
I pacchi di carte Chaos Legion potranno essere aperti il giorno 8 dicembre 2021. A partire dalla stessa data tutte le carte della collezione Chaos Legion potranno essere utilizzate in battaglia e potranno essere vendute, trasferite, noleggiate come qualsiasi altra carta delle collezioni precedenti di Splinterlands.

New Ranked Play Format (Gennaio 2021)
Come annunciato nei precedenti post pubblicati da Splinterlands in futuro ci saranno due formati diversi di Ranked Battle:
- vecchio formato: tutte le carte di tutte le collezioni possono essere utilizzate in battaglia
- nuovo formato: solo le carte Untamed, Dice e Chaos Legion e collezioni successive potranno essere utilizzate in battaglia.
Il lancio del nuovo formato Ranked Battle non avverrà contestualmente all'apertura dei pacchi di carte CHAOS LEGION ma avverrà successivamente. Non c'è una data precisa ma il lancio del nuovo formato è in programma nel mese di gennaio 2022.

Vendita dei Pacchi - Fase 2 (token VOUCHER fase 2)
l'8 dicembre inizierà la fase 2 della vendita dei pacchi Chaos Legion. Come preannunciato nel corso delle passate AMA di Splinterlands i token VOUCHER continueranno ad essere distribuiti e saranno necessari per l'acquisto dei pacchi di carte CHAOS LEGION anche nella fase 2 della vendita e fino al completamento della vendita totale di 3 milioni di pacchi di carte Chaos Legione (1 milione prevendita + 2 milioni fase 2). Quindi anche durante la fase 2 sarà valida la seguente equazione.
L'airdrop dei token VOUCHER terminerà oggi 16 novembre 2021 ma ripartirà l'8 dicembre con una distribuzione doppia rispetto alla prevendita.
Meccanismo di distribuzione token Voucher durante la prevendita:
33333.333 tokens al giorno / totale SPS staked * SPS staked by player
Meccanismo di distribuzione token Voucher durante la Fase 2 della vendita dei pacchi di carte:

Quindi i token SPS staked e i token VOUCHER continueranno ad essere importanti per l'acquisto dei pacchi di carte CHAOS LEGION fino al raggiungimento di 3 milioni di pacchi di carte venduti.
Inoltre durante la fase 2 della vendita Chaos Legion:
- non sarà più possibile avere lo sconto del 10% utilizzando i token SPS per l'acquisto dei pacchi di carte
- solo gli acquisti effettuati con i crediti saranno eligibili per conferire le ricompense di affiliazione
Vendita Pacchi - Fase 3
(token VOUCHER non più indispensabili ma...)
Appena terminerà la fase 2 inizierà la terza fase di vendita. Nella terza fase di vendita i token VOUCHER non saranno più il requisito indispensabile per acquistare i pacchi di carte ma continueranno ad essere utili perchè saranno il requisitio per poter usufruire dei Bonus per l'acquisto dei pacchi multipli.
Ad esempio chi compra 100 pacchi di carte avrà un bonus di 10 pacchi di carte solo se avrà 10 token VOUCHER da utilizzare.
Questo vuol dire che la distribuzione dei token VOUCHER continuerà anche dopo la fine della fase 2 della vendita dei pacchi di carte Chaos Legion anche se il meccanismo di distribuzione cambierà:

Considerazioni
Mancano pochi giorni alla fine della prevendita e io ho deciso di non partecipare ma solo per una mia personale strategia di acquisto. Splinterlands è il mio gioco basato su blockchain preferito e vedo ancora molto potenziale nel progetto.
Ho espresso tutte le mie considerazioni e valutazioni nel mio precedente post:
Presumibilmente, durante la fase 2 e senza i benefici della prevendita, i token VOUCHER dovrebbero costare molto di meno rispetto ad oggi.
Oggi 16 novembre 2021 1 token VOUCHER ha un valore di 19.230 SWAP.HIVE (Highest Bid) = 17.095$
Il valore dei token VOUCHER è in leggero calo rispetto a qualche giorno fa (vedi grafico seguente)
Fino ad oggi ho venduto 53.89 token VOUCHER e ho ottenuto un guadagno di 1100.39 SWAP.HIVE ma ho ancora 14.83 token VOUCHER da vendere e sto valutando se venderli subito o aspettare due o tre giorni.
Avrò scelto di seguire la strategia giusta?
Solo il tempo mi darà ragione oppure mi darà torto ma in entrambi i casi Splinterlands mi avrà fatto divertire perchè fare calcoli e previsioni mi piace ;)
Considerazioni sulla fine di stagione
Ho terminato la stagione di Splinterlands appena conclusa in lega Diamond III che è la lega massima che il mio Punteggio Power mi permette di raggiungere. In realtà potrei avere un punteggio Power di 325000 punti ma preferisco noleggiare parte delle mie carte ad altri giocatori per avere un entrata giornaliera in token DEC.
Statistiche e Considerazioni
Ho quindi concluso la mia stagione in lega Diamond III e mi sono posizionato nella posizione numero 1231 della classifica della lega Diamond con un punteggio di rating di 2829 punti.
Durante l'ultimo giorno della stagione potevo provare ad aumentare il mio punteggio Power tramite il noleggio delle carte per provare a raggiungere la lega Diamond II.
Avanzare nella lega Diamond II mi avrebbe permesso di ricevere 10 forzieri aggiuntivi che in base al calcolo del sito https://www.splintercards.com/tool-lootchest.html avevano un valore stimato di 57 token DEC per singolo forziere e un valore totale di 570 token DEC (in data 15 novembre).
Tra l'altro adesso trovare le carte da noleggiare con un buon rapporto Collection Power/DEC è molto facile grazie all'utilissimo sito di Peakmonsters. Dalla della sezione Rent di Peakmonsters (https://peakmonsters.com/rentals ) è possibile:

Ma ho deciso di fermarmi in lega Diamond III perchè la stagione è finita di domenica e la domenica è il giorno che dedico totalmente alla famiglia e a mia figlia.
Nella stagione terminata ieri ho svolto un numero di battaglie inferiore alla stagione precedente: 219 battaglie contro le 266 della stagione precedente. Ho svolto un numero minore di battaglie ma il mio winrate è leggermente migliorato: 52.51% (51.88% nella stagione precedente).
La mia ricompensa di fine stagione
Il premio per i giocatori che concludono la stagione in lega Diamond III è di 40 forzieri. I forzieri possono contenere tre tipologie di premi: Carte della collezione Reward, token DEC e Pozioni.
La probabilità di trovare una carta all'interno dei forzieri è del 50% (a partire dalla lega Silver III+).
Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere le carte che ho trovato all'interno dei 40 forzieri che ho aperto.
Ho trovato 18 carte su 40 forzieri con una media leggermete al di sotto delle probabilità statistiche.
Ho trovato:
- 16 carte comuni
- 1 carta comune in versione Gold: Pelacor Bandit
- 1 carta rara
Il valore totale delle carte che ho trovato all'interno dei forzieri è di 14.590$ (stagione precedente: 6.06$)
DEC e Pozioni
Nei restanti 22 forzieri ho trovato:
- 2 pozioni leggendarie
- 4 pozioni alchemiche
- un totale di 141 token DEC.
Oggi 16 novembre 2021 il valore di 141 token DEC è di 1.56 HIVE (Highest BID su LeoDex/HiveEngine/TribalDex)
Il valore in dollari di 115 token DEC è di 1.53 $
Il valore totale della mia ricompensa di fine stagione è il risultato della somma delle seguenti voci:

Il profitto che ho ottenuto solo dalla mia ricompensa di fine stagione è stato di 14.590 $ + 1.53 $ = 16.12 $ (stagione precedente: 6.06$)
La ricompensa di fine stagione è stata decisamente migliore della prededente.
Grazie all'utile sito https://kiokizz.github.io/Splinterlands/seasonReportCard posso calcolare il totale dei token DEC che ho guadagnato durante la stagione (15 giorni): Total Ranked Play Rewards: 9963 token DEC Total Rental earnings: 5042.736 token DEC
In 15 giorni ho guadagnato un totale di 15005 token DEC il cui valore in dollari è di 163.32$ Considerando solo i token DEC ottenuti come ricompensa dalla mia attività di gioco e dalla mia attività di noleggio ho ottenuto un guadagno giornaliero di 10.88$.
Nella prossima stagione cercherò di migliorare questo risultato.
Giocare e guadagnare è un binomio che non conoscevo e sopratutto non credevo possibile prima di iniziare la mia avventura su Splinterlands e il fatto di ricevere delle ricompense come frutto della mia attività di gioco rende in fondo ogni mia ricompensa giornaliera o di fine stagione sempre buona ;)

Ogni gioco che prevede l'acquisto di carte e di token non è mai un semplice gioco ma è anche un investimento e come tale va considerato. Io non sono un consulente finanziario e se decidi di investire nel gioco di Splinterlands lo fai per tua scelta, dopo aver fatto le tue personali valutazioni e considerato tutti i possibili fattori di rischio.
Il mio consiglio è di investire sempre e solo quello che puoi permetterti di perdere a cuor leggero.
