I started my adventure in the world of decentralised finance (DeFi) with CubFinance (https://cubdefi.com/) which is the latest project created by the creators and developers of the Leofinance community (https://leofinance.io/). My current goal for the CUB Finance project is to reach an amount of 100 CUBs. I had decided to reach this goal by the end of 2021 and therefore in a quite long period of time because when I set my goal 1 CUB token was worth about 4.5$. Five days ago I bought 24.6 CUBs at a total cost of $54.366 ($2,210 per CUB token). Yesterday, the price of CUB tokens dropped to $1,820 and reached the lowest value since the CubFinance project was born.
So I decided to invest 125 SWAP.HIVE tokens to buy CUB tokens.
As you can see from the image below I use the Farm DEC-BUSD LP and have 36.386 CUBs in the DENS section of CubFinance. I have a total of 39.83 CUB tokens.
There are two paths to convert SWAP.HIVE tokens to CUB tokens. The previous two times I purchased CUB tokens I always converted SWAP.HIVE to DEC tokens and used the following path because it was the most convenient:
SWAP.HIVE -> DEC -> Splinterlands site -> DEC(BEP20) -> CubFinance section Exchange -> CUB.
This time, the most convenient route was to convert SWAP.HIVE tokens into LEO tokens:
SWAP.HIVE -> LEO -> https://wleo.io/bsc -> bLEO(BEP20) -> Exchange section of CubFinance -> CUB.
As you can see from the following image the saving is obvious and is almost two percentage points compared to the alternative path using DEC tokens.
I tried buying DEC tokens at a lower price (0.00177 SWAP.HIVE instead of 0.00185 SWAP.HIVE) and my order was immediately matched.
With 123.90 SWAP.HIVE I bought 70000 DEC tokens.
Thanks to my successful purchase order for DEC tokens it became cheaper to use DEC tokens to get to purchase CUB tokens.
How to convert DEC tokens to DEC tokens (BEP20)
In my previous post about CUB tokens I received a comment from @robibasa who wrote to me:
... I am unclear about the conversion between Hive Engine DECs and bep20 DECs ... How do you convert them?
To help my friend @robibasa but also those who are in the same situation I will run the steps to convert DEC tokens (Hive Engine) to DEC tokens (BEP20) at the same time as writing this post so I will take a screenshot of each step performed.
Step 1. After purchasing the DEC tokens on Hive Engine (https://hive-engine.com/) I went to https://splinterlands.com/ and logged in.
Step 2. I clicked in the top right hand corner on the number that indicates the amount of DECs I have.
Step 3. In the next window I entered:
- the amount of DEC tokens to transfer from Hive Engine to the Splinterlands internal wallet: 70000 DECs
- I selected the wallet: HIVE ENGINE WALLET
- I clicked on TRANSFER IN
Step 4. When the DEC tokens arrived in the Splinterlands internal wallet, I clicked again on the number in the top right corner indicating the amount of DECs I had. On the next screen I entered:
- The amount of DEC tokens to transfer to my BSC wallet: 70000 DECs
- I selected the type of wallet: BINANCE SMART CHAIN WALLET
- I clicked on TRANSFER OUT
Step 5. But at this point I had to stop because I had a small problem. As you can see from the next image, in the Balance History section of Splinterlands the transfer was successful.
But I haven't received the DEC tokens (BEP20) on my Wallet Metamask.
There must have been some technical problem. I immediately wrote a help message on the Splinterlands discord server (https://discord.gg/XgMbDnKyuR) in the tech-support channel.
I noticed that I'm not the only one who has had this problem. I have performed the DEC -> DEC (BEP20) conversion operation other times and never had any problems.
The Splinterlands development team is a high-level team and I was sure that the technical problem would be solved as soon as possible.
In fact, after a few hours the DEC tokens in BEP20 version arrived in my Metamask wallet.
Problem solved. I can now proceed to purchase the CUB tokens.
Step 5. I went to the Trade section of CubFinance and clicked on Exchange. On the next screen
- I entered the amount of DEC to be converted to CUB (in the first line).
- I selected CUB as the token to receive from the conversion.
- Finally, I clicked on the SWAP button.
The only downside? The transaction costs: 0.00231 BNB = $1.56.
The last CUB tokens I bought I staked in the Dens section of CubFinance: Farming CUB.
Conclusion
In my opinion, the current value of the CUB tokens is very low compared to the value of the CubFinance project, which I consider to be very good and promising, and for this reason I decided to increase the number of CUB tokens in my possession immediately.
I am happy to have come very close to my goal: 100 CUBs. In fact, I'm just over 25 CUB tokens away from reaching 100 CUB.

Ho deciso di investire 125 token SWAP.HIVE per comprare i token CUB.
Come puoi vedere dallo schema nell'immagine seguente utilizzo la Farm DEC-BUSD LP e 36,386 CUB nella sezione DENS di CubFinance. Ho in totale 39.83 token CUB.
Ci sono due due percorsi che permettono di convertire i token SWAP.HIVE in token CUB. Le due precedenti volte che ho acquistato i token CUB ho sempre convertito i token SWAP.HIVE in token DEC e ho utilizzato il seguente percorso perchè è risultato il più conveniente:
SWAP.HIVE -> DEC -> Splinterlands site -> DEC(BEP20) -> section Exchange di CubFinance -> CUB
Questa volta invece il percorso più conveniente è risultato quello che prevede la conversione dei token SWAP.HIVE in token LEO:
SWAP.HIVE -> LEO -> https://wleo.io/bsc -> bLEO(BEP20) -> section Exchange di CubFinance -> CUB
Come puoi vedere dall'immagine seguente il risparmio è evidente ed è di quasi due punti percentuali rispetto al percorso alternativo che utilizza i token DEC.
Ho provato a comprare dei token DEC ad un prezzo inferiore (0.00177 SWAP.HIVE invece di 0.00185 SWAP.HIVE) e il mio ordine è stato subito abbinato.
Con 123.90 SWAP.HIVE ho acquistato 70000 token DEC.
Grazie al mio ordine di acquisto per i token DEC andato a buon fine mi conviene utilizzare i token DEC per arrivare ad acquistare i token CUB.
Come convertire i token DEC in token DEC (BEP20)
Nel mio precedente post relativo ai token CUB ho ricevuto un commento da parte di @robibasa che mi ha scritto:
... non mi è chiaro il passaggio tra DEC di Hive Engine e DEC bep20... Come li converti?
Per aiutare il mio amico @robibasa ma anche chi si trova nella sua stessa situazione eseguirò i passi per convertire i token DEC (Hive Engine) in token DEC (BEP20) contestualmenmte alla scrittura di questo post in modo da fare uno screenshot per ogni passo eseguito.
Passo 1. Dopo aver acquistato i token DEC su Hive Engine (https://hive-engine.com/) sono andato sul sito https://splinterlands.com/ e ho fatto il login.
Passo 2. Ho cliccato in alto a destra sul numero che indica il quantitativo di DEC in mio possesso.
Passo 3. Nella finestra successiva ho inserito:
- il quantitativo di token DEC da trasferire da Hive Engine al wallet interno di Splinterlands: 70000 DEC
- ho selezionato il wallet: HIVE ENGINE WALLET
- ho cliccato su TRANSFER IN
Passo 4. Quando i token DEC sono arrivati nel wallet interno di Splinterlands ho cliccato nuovamente in alto a destra sul numero che indica il quantitativo di DEC in mio possesso. Nella schermata successiva ho inserito:
- il quantitativo di token DEC da trasferire sul mio wallet BSC: 70000 DEC
- ho selezionato il tipo di wallet: BINANCE SMART CHAIN WALLET
- ho cliccato su TRANSFER OUT
Passo 5. a questo punto ho avuto un piccolo problema. Come puoi vedere dall'immagine successiva, nella sezione Balance History di Splinterlands il trasferimento risultava andato a buon fine.
Ma non ho ricevuto i token DEC (BEP20) sul mio Wallet Metamask.
Ci sarà stato qualche problema tecnico. Ho subito scritto un messaggio di richiesta di aiuto sul server discord di Splinterlands (https://discord.gg/XgMbDnKyuR) nel canale tech-support.
Ho notato che anche un altra persona aveva avuto il mio stesso problema. Ho eseguito l'operazione di conversione DEC -> DEC (BEP20) altre volte e non ho avuto mai problemi.
Il team di sviluppo di Splinterlands è un team di alto livello ed ero sicuro che il problema tecnico sarebbe stato risolto nel più breve tempo possibile.
Infatti dopo qualche ora i token DEC in versione BEP20 sono arrivati nel mio wallet di Metamask.
Problema risolto. Adesso posso procedere all'acquisto dei token CUB.
Passo 5. Sono andato nella sezione Trade di CubFinance e ho cliccato su Exchange. Nella schermata successiva:
- ho inserito il quantitativo di DEC da convertire in CUB (nella prima riga).
- ho selezionato CUB come token da ricevere dalla conversione.
- infine ho cliccato sul bottone SWAP.
L'unica nota negativa? I costi di transazione: 0.00231 BNB = 1.56$.
Gli ultimi token CUB da me acquistati li ho messi in stake nella sezione Dens di CubFinance: Farming CUB.
Conclusione
Secondo la mia opinione il valore attuale dei token CUB è molto basso rispetto al valore del progetto di CubFinance che io reputo molto valido e promettente e per questo motivo ho deciso di aumentare subito il numero dei token CUB in mio possesso.
Sono contento di essermi avvicinato molto al mio obbiettivo: 100 CUB. Infatti per raggiungere un quantitativo di 100 CUB mi mancano poco più di 25 token CUB.
