dCity: SIM, Active Users and Considerations / SIM, Utenti Attivi e Considerazioni (ENG/ITA)

Hi hivers, I signed up to play dCity on June 20, 2020. I started playing the game more out of curiosity than conviction and honestly, I didn't put much faith in a game like dCity. Instead, dCity has turned out to be a really good investment and at least it has been so far. So far I have invested about 1100 HIVE on dCity and today my virtual city consists of 444 cards. In the following image you can see the graphical representation of my city. Each colored circle represents a single card (small circle) or a group of 10 cards (large circle).

*** # My buying strategy *** My strategy has changed several times and has adapted to the changes and updates that dCity has had over time. At first I would choose the cards to buy based on the **population** attribute with the goal of placing myself in the top 400 of dCity's ranking, which rewards players who have the most populous cities in the game with a certain amount of HIVE per day. I soon realized that getting to the top positions was practically impossible unless I invested thousands of HIVE. So I decided to focus my attention on the production of SIM tokens and started to choose and buy cards based on the SIM Income/$ ratio.

Today December 19, 2020 my city has a population of 1652 and produces 1417 SIM per day.

*** Based on the current value of SIM tokens on Hive Engine (Highest Bid) my city produces an income equivalent to **6.98581 HIVE**.

SIM and Active Users

dCity more than a game is an investment and has a risk factor to consider. If, for example, the players who have the biggest cities and earn a lot of SIM per day decide to leave the game, the value of the SIM tokens would drop very quickly...

For this reason I check at least weekly two very important aspects of dCity:

the value of SIM tokens
the number of active players

The value of SIM tokens

As you can see from the graph in the image below, the value of SIM tokens has remained stable over the last 30 days and has almost always moved between the values 0.0048 and 0.0050.

*** In the following image there is the graph for the period August 11 - October 10.

*** The trading value has increased compared to several months ago and the daily trading volume has also increased. *** # The number of active players *** As you can see from the graph in the image below, the active players are increasing and are 1477. ***

If we take a look at the past... on August 10, 2020 there were just over 800 active users and on October 7, 2020 there were up to about 1000.

Except for the days between November 21 and November 26, days in which the active users have fallen suddenly and I do not know why, then the trend has been of steady growth. ***

*** # Conclusion and New Goal *** These two data allow me to have a certain tranquillity and allow me to consider dCity an investment in "good health". That's why I've decided to invest again in dCity and I've set a new goal: to produce 3000 SIMs per day.

Obviously in case I have negative signals I will proceed to sell the cards that compose my virtual city.

I hope this post of mine is useful to those who asked me for advice on dCity, to those who have just started playing and to those who are simply curious to know the basic mechanisms that are behind a beautiful game like dCity.

**dCity more than a game is an investment and mainly as such must be treated**.. In every kind of investment there is always a **risk factor** to evaluate and consider.

I'm happy and satisfied to have invested in the dCity game but I can't predict the future (unfortunately) and so this post of mine is not an invitation to invest on dCity.

SIM, Utenti Attivi e Considerazioni

Ciao hivers, mi sono iscritto al gioco di dCity il 20 giugno 2020. Ho iniziato a giocare più per curiosità che per convinzione e, sinceramente, non riponevo molta fiducia in un gioco come dCity. E invece dCity si è rivelato davvero un ottimo investimento e almeno lo è stato fino ad ora. Fino ad oggi ho investito circa 1100 HIVE e oggi la mia città virtuale è composta da 444 carte. Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere la rappresentazione grafica della mia città. Ogni cerchio colorato rappresenta una singola carta (cerchio piccolo) o un gruppo di 10 carte (cerchio grande).

*** # La mia strategia di acquisto *** La mia strategia è cambiata più volte e si è adattata ai cambiamenti e agli aggiornamenti che dCity ha avuto nel corso del tempo. In un primo momento sceglievo le carte da acquistare in base all'attributo **popolazione** con il fine di posizionarmi nelle prime 400 posizioni della classifica di dCity che premia i giocatori che hanno le città più popolose del gioco con un certo quantitativo di HIVE al giorno. Mi sono presto reso conto che arrivare nelle posizioni alte era praticamente impossibile a meno di investire migliaia di HIVE. Così ho deciso di focalizzare la mia attenzione sulla produzione dei token SIM e ho incominciato a scegliere e comprare le carte in base al rapporto SIM Prodotti/$.

Oggi 19 dicembre 2020 la mia città ha una popolazione di 1652 abitanti e produce 1417 SIM al giorno.

*** In base al valore attuale dei token SIM su Hive Engine (Highest Bid) la mia città produce un reddito equivalente a **6,98581 HIVE**.

SIM e Utenti Attivi

dCity più che un gioco è un investimento e ha un fattore di rischio da considerare. Se ad esempio i giocatori che hanno le città più grandi e che guadagnano tanti SIM al giorno decidono di lasciare il gioco il valore dei token SIM crollerebbe molto velocemente...

Per questo motivo io controllo con cadenza almeno settimanale due aspetti molto importanti di dCity:

il valore dei token SIM
il numero dei giocatori attivi

Il valore dei token SIM

Come puoi vedere dal grafico nell'immagine in basso, il valore dei token SIM è rimasto stabile negli ultmi 30 giorni e si è mosso quasi sempre tra i valor 0,0048 e 0,0050.

*** Nell'immagine seguente c'è invece il grafico relativo al periodo 11 agosto - 10 ottobre.

*** Il valore di scambio è cresciuto rispetto a diversi mesi fa ed è aumentato anche il volume di scambio giornaliero.

Il numero dei giocatori attivi

Come puoi vedere dal grafico nell'immagine in basso, i giocatori attivi sono in aumento e sono 1477.

Se diamo uno sguardo al passato... il 10 Agosto 2020 gli utenti attivi erano poco più di 800 e il 7 ottobre 2020 erano saliti a circa 1000.

Tranne nei giorni tra il 21 novembre e il 26 novembre, giorni in cui gli utenti attivi sono scesi repentinamente e non conosco il motivo, poi il trend è stato di costante crescita. ***

Conclusione e Nuovo Obbiettivo

Questi due dati mi permettono di avere una certa tranquillità e di considerare dCity un investimento in buona salute. Ecco perchè ho deciso di ritornare ad investire su dCity e mi sono fissato un nuovo obbiettivo: produrre 3000 SIM al giorno.

Ovviamente nel caso in cui dovessi avere segnali decisamente negativi procederò a vendere le carte che compongono la mia città virtuale.

Spero che questo mio post sia utile a chi mi ha chiesto consigli su dCity, a chi ha iniziato da poco a giocare e a chi è semplicemente curioso di conoscere i meccanismi di base che sono dietro ad un bel gioco come dCity.

Nota Importante:

**dCity più che un gioco è un investimento e principalmente come tale deve essere trattato**. In ogni tipologia di investimento c'è sempre un **fattore di rischio** da valutare e considerare.

Sono contento e soddisfatto di aver investito nel gioco di dCity ma non posso prevedere il futuro (purtroppo) e quindi questo mio post non vuole essere in alcun modo un invito ad investire su dCity.
