I love decentralization and blockchain-based games are one of my passions. I have a natural preference for games built and developed on the Hive blockchain because Hive is my favorite blockchain project and I like to try and invest in gaming projects built on Hive even if these projects are still in development. Obviously when a gaming project is in development and not yet playable the risk is greater but on the other hand the potential gain is greater.

On Dcrops I have so far invested 156.57 HIVE and started playing from the very beginning, when I planted my first seeds the second season of the game was underway (May 2021).

Having chosen to invest in the game of Dcrops from the beginning was a good choice because I have made a good profit so far. In my previous post about Dcrops that I published on May 27, I calculated the profit and ROI I have made after one year of playing the game, and in the image below you can see the results I recorded just over a month ago.

I have not invested much but I am very satisfied with the financial results I have achieved so far also because the time I have spent on gaming activities has been very minimal.

Two days ago, on July 8, 2022, the @dcrops account published a post in which it announced the transition from the Alpha to the Beta version of the game which will take place on August 25, 2022 while the pre-sale of Beta card packs will start on July 25, 2022.

Until now Dcrops has been a very easy game to play because the game dynamics were very simple.

In fact, to start playing Dcrops it is sufficient to:

• purchase a land-type NFT
• purchase a seed-type NFT from among those that can be used in the active season
• harvest after a certain number of days (variable by seed type)
• sell the harvested agricultural products in exchange for Shares points
• wait until the end of the season to obtain a certain amount of CROP tokens based on the amount of Shares points obtained during the season.

Starting August 25, 2022 game dynamics will be greatly expanded because the current single game mode will be replaced by three new game modes:

• building
• crafting
• cooking

The new edition brings about a lot of new game mechanics which will drastically change how the game has been played so far. Once the pre-sale ends, you will be able to open your packs and along with opening the packs, 3 new game modes will be opened to you. The building, crafting and cooking systems will be operational once the pre-sale ends.

In today's post I want to delve into the first step of the beta version RoadMap: the BETA Pre-sale.

## BETA Presale

The total number of packs of BETA cards will be 300000 units and the price will be $3 or 3000 CROP. 10000 BETA packs will be reserved for promotional activities and therefore cannot be purchased from the Dcrops site.

So there will be 290000 packs that can be purchased:

• 100000 BETA packs will be purchasable during the pre-sale starting on July 25, 2022 and ending on August 25, 2022 when card packs can be opened.
• 190000 packs of cards will be purchasable during the general sale beginning at the end of the presale (August 25, 2022)

The packs will be available for purchase from the SHOP section of the Dcrops website via several purchase modes:

• HIVE
• SWAP.HIVE
• HBD
• SWAP.BUSD
• CROP

The first benefit of participating in the presale will be a discount on the purchase price:

• 15% discount using CROP tokens: 2550 CROP per pack instead of 3000 CROP
• 10% discount using the other payment methods: $2.55 per pack instead of $3 .

In both presale and general sale, it will be possible to get bonus packs in the case of multiple purchases in one transaction:

100 - 499: 10% additional pack bonus 500 - 1999: 15% additional pack bonus 2000+: 20% additional pack bonus

Those who buy a pack of cards during the presale will also receive an extra bonus in addition to the discount: a promotional card that will not be found inside the card packs.

Each pack bought in the pre-sale will be eligible for a limited edition promo card. This promo card will be exclusive to the pre-sale and will not be available in BETA packs. More details about the promo card will be revealed in a separate post later.

All BETA packs purchased will be worth 2000 CROP POWER points and thus will count in the distribution of daily HIVE token rewards from the Holding Rewards leaderboard.

The NFTs findable in the BETA card packs will be more than 50 different types and there will be no NTFs from the Alpha edition (no reprints).

I personally like this choice because those who have invested from the beginning are fair to be rewarded in some way than those who will start investing after July 25.

## ALPHA VS BETA

The Alpha card packs were priced at 2$ and contained 5 cards. The Beta card packs will cost 3$ and will contain only 3 cards.

The NFTs found in the Alpha packs were 24 in total:

• 4 types of Land cards
• 20 types of Seed cards

NFTs found in Beta packs will be more than 50 although the exact number has not yet been announced by @dcrops.burn

It is still too early to evaluate the best payment method to use during the presale to purchase Beta card packs because the values of the HIVE and CROP tokens could change before July 25, when the presale will start, but if the values were to be the same as they are now buying a pack of cards using CROP tokens would be much less convenient than buying using HIVE tokens (cost per pack: $4.05 VS $2.55).

Before the presale begins I will try to publish a post with evaluations and calculations regarding the various purchase cases ;)

## Considerations on LAND cards

I want to conclude this post with some personal considerations and evaluations about Land cards that I want to make clear are not financial advice

In the Beta packs you will be able to find only one type of Land card and it will be a card of legendary rarity and therefore difficult to find.

This time around, there will only be one type of land card in this set. This land will be of legendary rarity. This new land NFT will have 3 plots and there will be a unique bonus with this land. What that bonus is will be revealed later.

If the percentage probability of finding a legendary card within the BETA card packs will be the same as the ALPHA packs (0.8%) finding a Land card in the BETA set will be very difficult.

I do not yet know the amount of legendary cards that can be found in the BETA packs but when dcrops makes it known I will be able to make precise calculations but already now and without precise calculations available my personal prediction is that Land cards will become more and more important in the game dynamics and because of their scarcity and if dcrops players increase in the future also the monetary value of Land cards might increase in the future.

Predicting the future is never easy especially in the current Bear Market situation but buying land cards by choosing those that have a lower cost per plot today might be a good choice.

I calculated the cost per plot for each Land card on the market and the best possible purchase turned out to be the common type Average Farmland card if purchased with SWAP.HIVE tokens as the payment method: 2.36 SWAP.HIVE per plot.

For the above reasons, today I chose to purchase 2 Land cards of rare type (Fertile Land) using SWAP.HIVE tokens as the payment method. I did not purchase the common type Land cards because the difference in cost per plot with the rare type Land cards was really minimal:

• cost per plot Fertile Land: 2.385 SWAP.HIVE
• cost per plot Average Farmland: 2.36 SWAP.HIVE

and because Fertile Land cards have a higher production bonus than Average Farmland cards (5% VS 2%).

With my last purchase I spent 9.54 SWAP.HIVE and increased the number of Land cards in my possession and increased the number of plots available to me:

• 20 Land cards
• 34 plots

Will I have made a good purchase? Only time will tell!

We are still 15 days away from the start of the presale, I have not yet decided whether to buy and how many BETA packs to buy but that will be the topic of an upcoming post of mine on Dcrops.

Dcrops BETA Presale: Informazioni e Considerazioni (ENG/ITA)

Amo la decentralizzazione e i giochi basati su blockchain sono una delle mie passioni. Su Dcrops ho investito fino ad ora 156.57 HIVE e ho iniziato a giocare fin dall'inizio, quando ho piantato i miei primi semi era in corso la seconda stagione del gioco (maggio 2021).

Aver scelto di investire fin dall'inizio nel gioco di Dcrops è stata una buona scelta perchè ho ottenuto fino ad ora un buon profitto. Nel mio precedente post su Dcrops che ho pubblicato il 27 maggio ho calcolato il profitto e il ROI che ho ottenuto dopo un anno di gioco e nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere i risultati che ho registrato poco più di un mese fa.

Non ho investito molto ma sono molto soddisfatto dei risultati finanziari che ho ottenuto anche perchè il tempo che ho dedicato alle attività di gioco è stato davvero minimo.

Due giorni fa, l'8 luglio 2022, l'account @dcrops ha pubblicato un post in cui ha annunciato il passaggio dalla versione Alpha alla versione Beta del gioco che avverrà il 25 agosto 2022 mentre la prevendita dei pacchi di carte Beta inizierà il 25 luglio 2022.

Fino ad oggi Dcrops è stato un gioco molto semplice da giocare perchè le dinamiche di gioco erano molto semplici.

Infatti per iniziare a giocare a Dcrops è sufficiente:

• acquistare un NFT di tipo Land
• acquistare un un NFT di tipo seme tra quelli utilizzabili nella stagione attiva
• effettuare il raccolto dopo un certo numero di giorni (variabile per tipo di seme)
• vendere i prodotti agricoli raccolti in cambio di punti Shares
• attendere la fine della stagione per ottenere un certo quantitativo di token CROP in base al quantitativo di punti Shares ottenuti durante la stagione.

A partire dal 25 agosto 2022 le dinamiche di gioco verranno di molto ampliate perchè la singola modalità di gioco attuale sarà sostituita da tre nuove modalità di gioco:

• building
• crafting

Nel post di oggi voglio approfondire il primo passo della RoadMap della versione beta: la BETA Pre-sale.

## BETA Presale

Il numero totale dei pacchi di carte BETA sarà di 300000 unità e il prezzo sarà di 3$ o 3000 CROP. 10000 pacchi BETA saranno riservati ad attività promozionali e quindi non acquistabili dal sito di Dcrops. Quindi saranno 290000 i pacchi acquistabili:

• 100000 pacchi BETA saranno acquistabili durante la prevendita che inizierà il 25 luglio 2022 e terminerà il 25 agosto 2022 quando sarà possibile aprire i pacchi di carte.

Gli NFT trovabili nei pacchi di carte BETA saranno più di 50 tipi diversi e non ci saranno NTF dell'edizione Alpha nei pacchi BETA (nessuna ristampa).

Personalmente mi piace questa scelta perchè chi ha investito fin dall'inizio è giusto che sia premiato in qualche modo rispetto a chi inizierà ad investire dopo il 25 luglio.

## ALPHA VS BETA

I pacchi di carte Alpha costavano 2$ e contenevano 5 carte. I pacchi di carte Beta costeranno 3$ e conterranno solo 3 carte.

Gli NFT trovabili nei pacchi Alpha erano 24 in totale:

• 4 tipologie di carte Land
• 20 tipologie di carte Seme

Gli NFT trovabili nei pacchi Beta saranno più di 50 anche se il numero esatto non è stato ancora comunicato da @dcrops.burn

E' ancora presto per valutare il metodo di pagamento migliore da utilizzare durante la presale per acquistare i pacchi di carte Beta perchè i valori dei token HIVE e CROP potrebbe variare prima del 25 luglio, quando la prevendità inizierà, ma se i valori dovessero essere uguali a quelli attuali comprare un pacco di carte utilizzando i token CROP sarebbe molto meno conveniente rispetto all'acquisto utilizzando i token HIVE (costo per pacco: 4.05$ VS 2.55$).

Prima dell'inizio della prevendita cercherò di pubblicare un post con valutazioni e calcoli relativi ai vari casi di acquisto ;)

## Considerazioni sulle carte LAND

Nei pacchi Beta si potrà trovare solo una carta di tipo Land e sarà una carta di rarità leggendaria e quindi difficile da trovare.

Se la percentuale di probabilità di trovare una carta leggendaria all'interno dei pacchi di carte BETA sarà la stessa dei pacchi ALPHA (0.8%) trovare una carta Land nel set BETA sarà molto difficile.

Non conosco ancora il quantitativo di carte leggendarie trovabili nei pacchi di carte BETA ma quando dcrops lo renderà noto potrò fare dei calcoli precisi ma già adesso e senza calcoli precisi disponibili la mia personale previsione è che le carte Land diventeranno sempre più importanti nelle dinamiche di gioco e a causa della loro scarsità e se i giocatori di dcrops aumenteranno in futuro anche il valore monetario delle carte Land potrebbe aumentare in futuro.

Prevedere il futuro non è mai semplice soprattuto nella situazione attuale di Bear Market ma acquistare le carte land scegliendo quelle che hanno oggi un costo per plot più basso potrebbe essere una buona scelta.

Ho calcolato il costo per plot per ogni carta Land presente sul mercato e il miglior acquisto possibile è risultato essere la carta Land di tipo comune Average Farmland se acquistata con i token SWAP.HIVE come metodo di pagamento: 2.36 SWAP.HIVE per plot.

Per i motivi sopra esposti oggi ho scelto di acquistare 2 carte Land di tipo raro (Fertile Land) utilizzando come metodo di pagamento i token SWAP.HIVE. Non ho acquistato le carte Land di tipo comune perchè la differenza del costo per plot con le carte land di tipo raro era davvero minima:

• costo per plot Fertile Land: 2.385 SWAP.HIVE
• costo per plot Average Farmland: 2.36 SWAP.HIVE

e perchè le carte Fertile Land hanno un bonus di produzione maggiore rispetto alle carte Average Farmland (5% VS 2%).

Con il mio ultimo acquisto ho speso 9.54 SWAP.HIVE e ho incrementato il numero di carte Land in mio possesso e ho aumentato il numero di plots a mia disposizione:

• 20 carte Land
• 34 plots

Avrò fatto un buon acquisto? Solo il tempo lo dirà!

Mancano ancora 15 giorni all'inizio della presale, non ho ancora deciso se acquistare e quanti pacchi BETA acquistare ma questo sarà l'argomento di un mio prossimo post su Dcrops.
