dCrops is an NFT-based farming game developed and built on the blockchain of Hive. Today is 7 October 2022 and at the time I am starting to write this post there are just over 2 hours until the end of the autumn season of dCrops.

When a season of dCrops ends, players who have been active during the season:

• have planted seeds
• harvested crops
• sold agricultural products (Crops) in exchange for Shares points

receive a reward in CROP tokens whose value depends on

• the total Shares points they have earned during the season
• the total Shares points obtained by all players during the season
• the total CROP tokens that make up the pool of Leaderboards.

In today's post I want to share the operations that I usually perform just before the end of dCrops seasons with the intention of being useful in particular to those who are new to dCrops. In the second part of the post I will show which seed that can be planted in the winter season (season that will start soon) has the best Share/HIVE points ratio and therefore might be a good purchase for those who want to buy a seed-type NFT.

## The end of autumn: my operation

Before the end of each dCrops season:

• I check whether I have planted seeds and whether I have not yet harvested.
• check if I have completed or can complete all quests
• decide which farm products (Crops) to sell and which to keep.

In the Farm section of dCrops I have 8 seeds that have completed the production period and can therefore proceed to Harvest.

I have not been very lucky in this my last harvest of the autumn season because all the Crops I got today are of minimal quality: 1 star out of 3.

After my last harvest, I can check my situation regarding the seasonal Quests.

As you can see from the picture below, I have completed 3 quests out of a total of 7 quests.

To receive the quests reward I must necessarily complete all quests and the remaining quests are:

• Sell 3 Wheat (1 star)
• Sell 3 Cabbage (2 stars)
• Sell 3 Peas (1 star)
• Sell 1 Potato (1 star)

I go to the inventory section of dCrops and check if I have all the Crops indicated by the 4 quests I listed above available.

In my opinion the Inventory section of dCrops is definitely an improvable section and I hope dCrops in the future will add more filters to speed up the search for products within the inventory.

As I have to sell agricultural products of a specific quality I order my Crops according to the quality filter.

To quickly find the Crops I am interested in selling I use the key combination Ctrl + F and enter the name of the agricultural product.

When I have found the agricultural products I want to sell I click on the Sell button located below each agricultural product and repeat the same operation for each agricultural product I want to sell.

Finally I click on the Sell Selected button located at the bottom and to the right in the Invetntory section.

From the sale of 3 Wheat (1 star), 3 Cabbage (2 stars), 3 Peas (1 star) and 1 Potato (1 star), I obtained 184 Shares points.

Now and as you can see from the image below all the quests I received at the beginning of the autumn season are completed and I can already make the Claim of the reward but I will do it later because there is a task that takes precedence.

The next operation I perform is to schoose which agricultural products to sell and which not. I could sell all the agricultural products in my inventory with a single click and in this way I would get 4209 share points in addition to the 184 share points I got from selling the products I showed you earlier.

I don't sell all the farm produce I own because I want to have an advantage when completing subsequent quests. In fact, a quest may require you to sell a farm product obtainable in a season other than the current one. If I do not keep an adequate and varied number of Crops I may be forced to press the Reroll button several times each season, which costs 10 CROP each time it is pressed.

I try to keep at least 4 Crops for each type of agricultural product and for each type of quality and have constructed a simple table to make it easier for me to choose which agricultural products to keep.

Today, for example, I noticed that I was left with very few agricultural products of 3-star quality, so in the coming seasons I will try to use the FERTI-PLUS boosters that double the chances of harvesting 3- and 2-star crops.

I also decided to sell another 100 crops and the total amount of my Shares points rose to 907 points.

I will only find out the amount of CROP tokens corresponding to the amount of Shares points I have accumulated when the autumn season is over.

## Focus on Winter Seeds and the calculation of the Shares Points/HIVE ratio

On 25 August dCrops entered the Beta phase and new seed type cards were added. The winter season starting soon is the first winter season of the Beta phase.

In the image below you can see all the seed cards that can be used during the winter season.

Those of you who read my posts know that I like to make calculations and evaluations, and in the past and several times I have shown the criterion I choose to follow to select the seed cards to buy, a selection criterion that is based on the calculation of the Shares Points/HIVE ratio.

The ratio SHARES/HIVE Points indicates the minimum number of Shares points obtainable from the use of a Seed card during a season for each HIVE token spent in the purchase of the Seed card.

Several months ago I had created with my spreadsheet a table for each season of dCrops to calculate the Share Points/HIVE ratio of each seed card. My table of seed cards that can be used in winter is obsolete, so today I updated the table for the winter season and added the new BETA seed cards to the ALPHA cards. I have added and calculated the ratio of SHARES/HIVE points in the case of purchasing Seed cards using CROP tokens as payment method in order to be able to compare the two usable payment methods (CROP vs SWAP.HIVE) and to be able to choose the most convenient payment method.

In the following image you can see the updated table.

The first useful information that you can get from looking at the Shares Points/HIVE ratio of the seed cards is that it is almost always more convenient to use SWAP.HIVE tokens as a payment method to buy a Seed card instead of CROP tokens.

The only exception is the Kidney Beans card, which has a higher Share points/HIVE ratio when purchased with CROP tokens (8.89 vs 7.13).

Tip: If you want to buy a seed card always do the calculation to check which is the best purchase method between SWAP.HIVE and CROP. Excluding the Kidney Beans card, if you want to buy a seed card today for the autumn season and you only have CROP tokens available I recommend that you first sell the CROP tokens on the Dex of the second level tokens of Hive and then use the SWAP.HIVE tokens to make the purchase from the Market section of dCrops ;)

Today 10 October 2022 according to the SHARE Points/HIVE ratio, the best possible purchase for the autumn season is the Cabbage Rare card which has a SHARES Points/HIVE ratio equal to 28.23529412 if purchased using SWAP.HIVE tokens as payment method.

This means that for every HIVE spent to buy a Cabbage card you will get a minimum of 28.23 Shares points during the winter season.

Important note: the calculation of the Shares/HIVE points ratio is a good purchasing indicator for the farming mode of dCrops. At the moment, the Cooking game mode is not yet active and when it is, further evaluations will have to be made. In addition, the player who also wants to easily complete the seasonal Quests and who also wants to specialise in the new game modes (Cooking, Crafting, ...) will have to try to have a varied and large collection of NFTs.

## My latest Quests reward

In coclusion I want to share the opening of the 15 chests I received as a reward for completing the Quests of the autumn season.

My hope every time I open the quests chests is to find a Resource card Gold Ore which is the card that has the highest market value among the Resource type cards and is also the card I have never found until now and I hope to find it sooner

In the following image you can see the contents of the 15 chests I opened today.

Again, I was not lucky :(

Inside the chests I found:

• 11 Boosters
• 1 NFT Wood (market value per NFT: 1,370 SWAP.HIVE - 300 CROP)
• 2 NFT Stone (market value per single NFT: 1,090 SWAP.HIVE - 300 CROP)

The total estimated value of the Quests reward I got today is 3.55 HIVE = $2,059 which although lower than the value of my previous reward is still a good value considering the time it took to get it ;)

La mia operatività di fine stagione + Focus sui semi invernali + La mia ultima ricompensa delle quests

dCrops è un gioco di farming basato su NFT sviluppato e costruito sulla blockchain di Hive. Oggi è il 7 ottobre 2022 e nel momento in cui sto iniziando a scrivere questo post mancano poco più di 2 ore alla fine della stagione autunnale di dCrops.

Quando termina una stagione di dCrops i giocatori che sono stati attivi durante la stagione:

• hanno piantato semi
• hanno effettuato il raccolto
• hanno venduto i prodotti agricoli (Crops) in cambio di punti Shares

ricevono una ricompensa in token CROP il cui valore dipende da:

• il totale dei punti Shares che ha ottenuto durante la stagione
• il totale dei punti Shares ottenuti da tutti i giocatori durante la stagione
• il totale dei token CROP che costituiscono la pool della Leaderboards.

Nel post di oggi voglio condividere le operazioni che solitamente effettuo poco prima della fine delle stagioni di dcrops con il proposito di essere utile in particolare a chi è un nuovo giocatore di dCrops. Nella seconda parte del post mostrerò quale seme piantabile nella stagione invernale (stagione che inizierà a breve) ha il miglior rapporto punti Share/HIVE e che quindi potrebbe essere un buon acquisto per chi vuole acquistare un NFT di tipo seme.

## La fine dell'autunno: la mia operatività

Prima della fine di ogni stagione di dCrops:

• controllo se ho semi piantati e se non ho ancora effettuato il raccolto
• verifico se ho completato o se posso completare tutte le quests
• decido quali prodotti agricoli (Crops) vendere e quali tenere

Nella sezione Farm di dCrops ho 8 semi che hanno completato il periodo di produzione e quindi posso procedere all'operazione di Harvest.

Non sono stato molto fortunato in quest'ultimo mio raccolto della stagione autunnale perchè tutti i Crops che ho ottenuto oggi sono di qualità minima: 1 stella su 3.

Dopo il mio ultimo raccolto posso controllare la mia situazione relativa alle Quests stagionali.

Come puoi vedere dall'immagine seguente ho completato 3 quests su un totale di 7 quests.

Per ricevere la ricompensa delle quests devo completare necessariamente tutte le quests e le quests rimanenti sono:

• Sell 3 Wheat (1 stella)
• Sell 3 Cabbage (2 stelle)
• Sell 3 Peas (1 stella)
• Sell 1 Potato (1 stella)

Vado nella sezione inventory di dCrops e verifico se ho disponibili tutti i Crops indicati dalle 4 quests che ho elencato prima.

La sezione Inventory di dCrops è decisamente una sezione migliorabile e spero che dCrops in futuro aggiunga un numero maggiore di filtri per velocizzare la ricerca dei prodotti all'interno dell'inventario.

Poichè devo vendere dei prodotti agricoli di una precisa qualità ordino i miei Crops in base al filtro qualità.

Per trovare velocemente i Crops che mi interessa vendere utilizzo la combinazione di tasti Ctrl + F e inserisco il nome del prodotto agricolo.

Una volta che ho trovato i prodotti agricoli da vendere clicco sul bottone Sell posto sotto ogni prodotto agricolo e ripeto la stessa operazione per ogni prodotto agricolo che voglio vendere.

Infine premo sul bottone Sell Selected che si trova in basso e a destra nella sezione Invetntory.

Dalla vendita di 3 Wheat (1 stella), 3 Cabbage (2 stelle), 3 Peas (1 stella) e 1 Potato (1 stella) ho ottenuto 184 punti Shares.

Adesso e come puoi vedere dall'immagine seguente tutte le quests che ho ricevuto all'inizio della stagione autunnale sono completate e posso già fare il Claim della ricompensa ma lo farò in un secondo momento perchè c'è un operazione che ha la precedenza.

L'operazione successiva che effettuo è quella di scegliere quali prodotti agricoli vendere e quali no. Potrei vendere tutti i prodotti agricoli presenti nel mio inventario con un singolo click e in questo modo otterrei 4209 punti Shares oltre ai 184 punti Shares che ho ottenuto dalla vendita dei prodotti che ti ho mostrato prima.

Non vendo tutti i prodotti agricoli in mio possesso perchè voglio avere un vantaggio nel completamento delle quests successive. Infatti una quest può richiedere di vendere un prodotto agricolo ottenibile in una stagione diversa da quella corrente. Se non conservo un numero adeguato e vario di Crops potrei essere costretto a premere in ogni stagione più volte il tasto Reroll che ha un costo di 10 CROP ogni volta che viene premuto.

Cerco di conservare almeno 4 Crops per ogni tipologia di prodotto agricolo e per ogni tipologia di qualità e ho costruito una semplice tabella che mi semplifica la scelta dei prodotti agricoli da tenere.

Oggi ad esempio ho notato che sono rimasto con pochi prodotti agricoli di qualità 3 stelle e quindi nelle prossime stagioni cercherò di utilizzare i Booster FERTI-PLUS che raddoppiano le chance di raccogliere crops di 3 e due stelle.

Ho anche deciso di vendere altri 100 crops e il quantitativo totale dei miei punti Shares è salito a 907 punti.

Scoprirò il quantitativo di token CROP corrispondenti al quantitativo di punti Shares che ho accumulato solo quando la stagione autunnale sarà conclusa.

## Focus on Winter Seeds e il calcolo del rapporto Shares Points/HIVE

Il 25 agosto dCrops è entrato nella fase Beta e sono state aggiunte delle nuove carte di tipo seme. La stagione invernale che inizierà tra poco è la prima stagione invernale della fase Beta.

Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere tutte le carte seme utilizzabili durante la stagione invernale.

Chi legge i miei posts sa che mi piace fare calcoli e valutazioni e in passato e più volte ho mostrato il criterio che ho scelto di seguire per selezionare le carte seme da comprare, criterio di scelta che si basa sul calcolo del rapporto Punti SHARES/HIVE.

Il rapporto Punti SHARES/HIVE indica il numero minimo di punti Shares ottenibile dall'utilizzo di una carta Seed durante una stagione per ogni token HIVE speso nell'acquisto della carta Seed.

Diversi mesi fa avevo creato con il mio foglio di calcolo una tabella per ogni stagione di dCrops per calcolare il rapporto Punti SHARE/HIVE di ogni carta seme. La mia tabella relativa alle carte di tipo seme utilizzabili in inverno è obsoleta e quindi oggi ho aggiornato la tabella relativa alla stagione invernale e ho aggiunto le nuove carte BETA di tipo seme alle carte ALPHA. Ho aggiunto e calcolato il rapporto Punti SHARES/HIVE nel caso di acquisto delle carte Seme utilizzando i token CROP come metodo di pagamento per poter fare il confronto tra i due metodi di pagamento utilizzabili (CROP vs SWAP.HIVE) e per poter scegliere il metodo di pagamento più conveniente.

Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere la tabella aggiornata.

La prima informazione utile che è possibile ricavare guardando il rapporto punti Shares/HIVE delle carte seme è che è quasi sempre più conveniente utilizzare i token SWAP.HIVE come metodo di pagamento per acquistare una carta Seed invece dei token CROP.

L'unica eccezione è la carta Kidney Beans che ha un rapporto punti Shares/HIVE maggiore se acquistata con i token CROP (8.89 vs 7.13).

Consiglio: Se vuoi acquistare una carta seme fai sempre il calcolo per verificare qual'è il metodo di acquisto migliore tra SWAP.HIVE e CROP. Escludendo la carta Kidney Beans, se oggi vuoi acquistare una carta seme per la stagione autunnale e hai solo token CROP disponibili ti consiglio prima di vendere i token CROP sui Dex dei token di secondo livello di Hive e poi di utilizzare i token SWAP.HIVE per effettuare l'acquisto dalla sezione Market di dCrops ;)

Oggi 10 ottobre 2022 in base al rapporto Punti SHARE/HIVE il miglior acquisto possibile per la stagione autunnale è la carta Rara Cabbage che ha un rapporto Punti SHARES/HIVE uguale a 28.23529412 se acquistata utilizzando come metodo di pagamento i token SWAP.HIVE.

Questo significa che per ogni HIVE speso per acquistare una carta Cabbage otterrai un minimo di 28.23 punti Shares durante la stagione invernale.

Nota importante: il calcolo del rapporto Punti Shares/HIVE è un buon indicatore di acquisto per la modalità farming di dCrops e quindi per i giocatori che hanno deciso di specializzarsi solo nella modalità Farm di dCrops. Al momento non è ancora attiva la modalità di gioco Cooking e quando sarà attiva sarà necessario fare altre valutazioni. Inoltre il giocatore che vuole anche completare facilmente le Quests stagionali e che vorrà specializzarsi anche nelle nuove modalità di gioco (Cooking, Crafting, ...) dovrà cercare di avere una collezione di NFT abbastanza varia e ampia.

## My latest Quests reward

In coclusione voglio condividere l'apertura dei 15 forzieri che ho ricevuto come premio per aver completato le Quests della stagione autunnale.

La mia speranza ogni volta che apro i forzieri delle quests è di trovare una carta Resource Gold Ore che è la carta che ha il maggiore velore di mercato tra le carte di tipo Resource e che è anche la carta che non ho mai trovato fino ad oggi e spero di trovarla prima o poi.

Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere il contenuto dei 15 forzieri che ho aperto oggi.

Anche in questa occasione non sono stato fortunato :(

All'interno dei forzieri ho trovato:

• 11 Boosters
• 1 NFT Wood (valore di mercato per singolo NFT: 1.370 SWAP.HIVE - 300 CROP)
• 2 NFT Stone (valore di mercato per singolo NFT: 1.090 SWAP.HIVE - 300 CROP)

Il valore totale stimato della ricompensa delle Quests che ho ottenuto oggi è di 3.55 HIVE = 2.059$ che anche se inferiore al valore della mia precedente ricompensa è comunque un buon valore considerato il tempo impiegato per ottenenrlo ;)
