My end-of-Winter operativeness + My Winter Quests Rewards
dCrops is an NFT-based farming game developed and built on the blockchain of Hive. In the dCrops game, time is marked by seasons that are the same as in real life (spring, summer, fall, and winter) but have a duration of only 15 days. The current season on dCrops is winter, which is about to end because at the time I started writing this post there are less than three hours until the spring season begins.
As in my previous post on dCrops that I published 15 days ago also today I want to share the operations I perform when there are only a few hours left until the end of the season:
- check if I have seeds planted and if I have not yet harvested.
- check if I have completed or can complete all seasonal quests
- decide which agricultural products (Crops) to sell and which to keep.
In the winter season I had more seeds to plant because just before the season started I opened 35 Beta packs in which I also found a legendary card: 1 Peach Seed.
In the winter season I planted:
- 11 Peas
- 28 Radish
- 6 Cabbage
- 1 Onion
- 1 Bell Pepper
- 5 Parsley
- 4 Cilantro
- 1 White Rose
- 2 Kidney Beans
- 2 Leek
After harvesting the last crops of the season, I updated the table I constructed to keep track of the agricultural products I chose not to sell in order to have an advantage in completing the Seasonal Quests.
My strategy for completing seasonal quests more smoothly consists of keeping and not selling 6 units of crops for each crop type and quality grade (1 star, 2 stars and 3 stars).
In the table below you can see the amount of crops I chose to store and not sell. Each green rectangle in the table is a crop that I have in my inventory.
Why did I build this table?
Because the inventory section of dcrops is the least functional in the whole game because it has few filters and selecting and selling crops is a simple but time-consuming task because you need to view all the products in your inventory. Paradoxically, during a season I spend more time selecting crops to sell than performing all the other game operations Thanks to my table I can save time because I have a compact, graphical and immediate view of my inventory and I can quickly choose what to sell and what not to sell.
I hope dCrops will add more filters to the inventory section in the future but it's already been that way for many months and I don't think it's a priority at the moment...
Divagation aside I am left with very few three-star quality crops and for this reason in the coming seasons I will use Fertile-plus boosters which will increase the chances of finding higher quality crops at harvest time.
From the sale of crops, I obtained a total of 2146 Shares points, which allowed me to receive a reward of 1778.20 CROP.
Today, December 21, 1 token CROP has a value of:
- 0.00365418 SWAP.HIVE = $0.0010836 (Lowest Ask)
- 0.00311112 SWAP.HIVE = $0.0009226 (Highest Bid)
Based on the Highest Bid value of 1 token CROP my end-of-season reward (1778.20 CROP) has a market value of 5.5321 SWAP.HIVE = $1.64
In the winter season I completed the quests quite easily and mostly due to my decision to open 35 beta packs.
It's time to see what the 15 chests I received as rewards for completing all seven winter quests contain.
In the following image you can see the contents of the 15 chests that I opened.
I was hoping to find an NFT Resource Gold Ore but I found:
- 14 Boosters
- 1 NFT Stone
I wasn't lucky this time but sooner or later I will manage to find a Gold Ore again ;)
New season and New quests
Instead, I was quite lucky with the new quests because I only received 2 quests that I cannot complete.
I don't have Eggplant cards in my collection so the first quest I can't complete.
I have to spend 10 CROP, press the Reroll button and hope to find a completable quest.
Unfortunately, I received a second quest that I cannot complete because I do not have NFT Napa Cabbage in my collection.

I only have 3 White Roses of 1-star quality in my inventory so I have to Re-Reroll!
Another uncompletable quest... I like to do calculations and I don't like to try my luck and that's the reason why I really don't like this quest mechanism. I would rather spend 30 CROP-40 CROP per Reroll but be sure to find a completable quest!

Finally a completable quest: Harvest 3 Strawberry crops!
I only have one more quest left to change: Sell 3 Onions.
Unfortunately, I only have 2 Onions of 3-star quality in my inventory, so I have to use the Re-roll feature
This time I was luckier and receive a completable quest right away.
The winter season was a good one in terms of harvesting, a little less good in terms of rewarding quests.
I have written this post at different times due to work commitments and at the time I am publishing the spring season has just started and I have already occupied all my plots with the seeds you can see in the image below.
In the last 5 plots I have used 5 Mystery Seeds.

La mia operatività di fine inverno + Le ricompense delle Quests invernali
dCrops è un gioco di farming basato su NFT sviluppato e costruito sulla blockchain di Hive. Nel gioco di dCrops il tempo è scandito dalle stagioni che sono le stesse della vita reale (primavera, estate, autunno e inverno) ma hanno una durata di soli 15 giorni. La stagione attualmente in corso su dCrops è l'inverno che sta per terminare perchè nel momento in cui ho iniziato a scrivere questo post mancano meno di tre ore all'inizio della stagione primaverile.
Come nel mio precedente post su dCrops che ho pubblicato 15 giorni fa anche oggi voglio condividere le operazioni che eseguo quando mancano poche ore alla fine della stagione:
- controllo se ho semi piantati e se non ho ancora effettuato il raccolto
- verifico se ho completato o se posso completare tutte le quests stagionali
- decido quali prodotti agricoli (Crops) vendere e quali tenere

Dopo aver effettuato l'ultimo raccolto della stagione ho aggiornato la tabella che ho costruito per tenere traccia dei prodotti agricoli che ho scelto di non vendere per avere un vantaggio nel completamento delle Quests stagionali.
La mia strategia per completare le quests stagionali in modo più agevole prevede di conservare e non vendere 6 unità di crops per ogni tipologia di crop e per ogni grado di qualità (1 stella, 2 stelle e 3 stelle).
Nella tabella seguente puoi vedere il quantitativo di crops che ho scelto di conservare e non vendere. Ogni quadratino verde della tabella è un crop che ho nel mio inventario.
Perchè ho costruito questa tabella?
Perchè la sezione inventario di dcrops è la meno funzionale di tutto il gioco perchè ha pochi filtri e selezionare e vendere i crops è un'operazione semplice ma che richiede molto tempo perchè è necessario visualizzare tutti i prodotti presenti nell'inventario. Paradossalmente durante una stagione impiego più tempo a selezionare i crops da vendere che a eseguire tutte le altre operazioni di gioco Grazie alla mia tabella posso risparmiare tempo perchè ho una visione compatta, grafica e immediata del mio inventario e posso scegliere velocemente cosa vendere e cosa no. Spero che dCrops aggiunga altri filtri alla sezione inventario in futuro ma sono tanti mesi che è così e non penso sia una priorità al momento...
Divagazione a parte sono rimasto con pochi crops di qualità tre stelle e per questo motivo nelle prossime stagioni userò i boosters Fertili-plus che aumenteranno le probabilità di trovare crops di qualità maggiore nel momento dell'harvest.
Dalla vendita dei crops ho ottenuto un totale di 2146 punti Shares che mi hanno permesso di ricevere una ricompensa di 1778.20 CROP.

New season and New quests
Sono stato invece abbastanza fortunato con le nuove quests perchè ho ricevuto solo 2 quests che non posso completare.
Non ho carte Eggplant nella mia collezione e quindi la prima quest non posso completarla.
Devo spendere 10 CROP, premere il tasto Reroll e sperare di trovare una quest completabile.
Purtroppo ho ricevuto una seconda quest che non posso completare perchè non ho NFT Napa Cabbage nella mia collezione.

Nel mio inventario ho solo 3 White Rose di qualità 1 stella e quindi devo fare Re-Re-ReRoll!
Altra quest non completabile... A me piace fare calcoli e non mi piace tentare la fortuna ed è questo il motivo per cui questo meccanismo delle quest non mi piace proprio. Preferirei spendere 30 CROP-40 CROP per ogni Reroll ma avere la certezza di trovare una quest completabile!

Mi rimane solo un'altra quest da cambiare: Sell 3 Onion.

Questa volta sono stato più fortunato e ricevo subito una quest completabile.
La stagione invernale è stata una stagione positiva per quanto riguarda il raccolto, un pò meno positiva per quanto riguarda la ricompensa delle quests.
Ho scritto questo post in momenti diversi a causa di impegni lavorativi e nel momento in cui pubblico è da poco iniziata la stagione primaverile e ho già occupato tutti i miei plots con i semi che puoi vedere nell'immagine seguente.
Negli ultimi 5 plots ho utilizzato 5 Mystery Seeds.
