End of Season Considerations + End of Season Reward

Hi Hivers and Splinterlands players, during the season that just ended I had very little time to play Splinterlands. I completed all the daily quests but, yesterday, with 16 hours left in the season I was in Gold I league with a rating score of 2627 points and a Power score of 209365.

*** I could have ended up in Gold League I and settled for receiving the 30 chests of the seasonal reward but that would have been a wrong choice especially since Splinterlands cards have seen a general price increase. In fact, my card collection has seen an increase in value of about **$400** since 15 days ago and opening more chests means finding more cards to add to my collection. I tried to reach the **Champion III** league to receive at least **80 chests** but had to give up with only 82 rating points from my goal and ended the season in the **Diamond I** league.

My final rating was 3550 points compared to 3079 points the previous season. With this score, I placed myself in the number 85 spot on the Diamond leaderboard.

This past season, I completed 253 battles (28 fewer than the previous season) but scored more wins: 164 wins (12 more than the previous season).

My winrate was 64.82% (previous season: 54.09%)

My current power score allows me to get as far as the Gold I league and to get to the Diamond I league I had to increase my power score and I rented, on the last day of the season, 20 cards from the market at https://peakmonsters.com/.

The cards I rented are as follows:

19 out of 20 cards had the Terminatio Escrow equal to 0 (no penalty in case of early rental contract termination).

As soon as the season ended I terminated all rental contracts that were longer than 1 day. The total cost of renting 20 cards and increasing my power score by 290000 points was $0.52.

Now let me show you the end of season reward I got.

My end of season reward

The reward for finishing the season in Diamond I league corresponds to a total of 60 chests.

In the following image you can see the cards I found in the chests.

*** I found **26 cards** out of **60 chests**. The chests can hold three types of rewards: **Cards, DECs, Potions**. The probability of finding a card in each chest is 1/3 and so I was quite lucky because I found 26 cards instead of the statistically and averagely probable 20.

I was lucky for the number of cards found inside the chests but less so for the type and value of the cards found.

I found 20 common cards, 4 rare cards, 1 epic card and 1 gold common card. The most valuable card I found is Undead Rex - Gold version which has a market value of $0.9 and a DEC conversion value of 500.

Undead Rex is a card that I don't use much in battles, and for this reason I'm putting it up for sale right now.

The total value of the cards I found inside the chests is 2,556$

DEC and Potions

I also found 24 Potions and a total of 174 DEC tokens.

Today March 31, 2021, 174 DEC equals the value of 0.22 HIVE (Highest BID on LeoDex/HiveEngine).

*** As you can see from the calculations shown in the following image the dollar value of 174 DEC tokens is **0.16 $** ***

Interestingly, even though DEC tokens have lost value relative to the DEC/HIVE ratio their dollar value has increased. Today March 31, 2021 the value of 1000 DEC tokens is very close to the value of $1 and is precisely $0.93.

Conclusion *** I'll do some calculations now: - total card rental cost: **0,52 $** - value of cards found in chests: **2,55 $** - total value of DEC tokens found in the chests: **0,16 $**

The total reward was - $0.52 + $2.55 + $0.16 = 2.19.

A somewhat disappointing reward even though its value is higher than the previous season's reward. In the season that has just started I will try to get at least in the Champion III league and if the price of cards continues to increase in April, I will rent more cards.

Ciao Hivers e giocatori di Splinterlands, durante la stagione appena conclusa ho avuto davvero poco tempo per giocare a Splinterlands. Ho completato tutte le missioni giornaliere ma, ieri, a 16 ore dalla fine della stagione ero in lega Gold I con un punteggio di rating di 2627 punti e un punteggio Power di 209365.

*** Potevo terminare in lega Gold I e accontentarmi di ricevere i 30 forzieri della ricompensa stagionale ma sarebbe stata una scelta sbagliata soprattutto perchè le carte di Splinterlands hanno registrato un generale aumento dei prezzi. Infatti la mia collezione di carte ha registrato un aumento di valore di circa **400 $** rispetto a 15 giorni fa e aprire più forzieri vuol dire trovare più carte da aggiungere alla mia collezione. Ho cercato di raggiungere la lega **Champion III** per ricevere almeno **80 forzieri** ma mi sono dovuto arrendere a soli 82 punti di rating dal mio obbiettivo e ho concluso la stagione in lega **Diamond I**.

Il mio rating finale è stato di 3550 punti contro i 3079 punti della precedente stagione. Con questo punteggio mi sono posizionato al posto numero 85 della classifica Diamond.

In quest'ultima stagione ho completato 253 battaglie (28 in meno rispetto alla stagione precedente) ma ho ottenuto più vittorie: 164 vittorie (12 in più rispetto alla precedente stagione).

Il mio winrate è stato del 64,82% (stagione precedente: 54,09%)

Il mio punteggio power attuale mi permette di accedere fino alla lega Gold I e per arrivare in lega Diamond I ho dovuto aumentare il mio punteggio power e ho noleggiato, nell'ultimo giorno della stagione, 20 carte dal mercato di https://peakmonsters.com/.

19 carte su 20 avevano il Terminatio Escrow uguale a 0 (nessuna penale in caso di chiusura contratto di noleggio anticipato).

Appena conclusa la stagione ho interrotto tutti i contratti di noleggio che avevano una durata superiore a 1 giorno. Il costo totale che ho sostenuto per noleggiare 20 carte e per aumentare il mio punteggio power di 290000 punti è stato di 0.52$

Adesso ti mostro la ricompensa di fine stagione che ho ottenuto.

La mia ricompensa di fine stagione

Il premio per chi termina la stagione in lega Diamond I corrisponde ad un totale di 60 forzieri.

Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere le carte che ho trovato nei forzieri.

*** Ho trovato **26 carte** su **60 forzieri**. I forzieri possono contenere tre tipologie di premi: **Carte, DEC, Pozioni**. La probabilità di trovare una carta in ogni forziere è di 1/3 e quindi stato abbastanza fortunato perchè ho trovato 26 carte invece delle 20 statisticamente e mediamente probabili.

Sono stato fortunato per il numero di carte trovato all'interno dei forzieri ma lo sono stato meno per il tipo e il valore delle carte trovate.

Ho trovato 20 carte comuni, 4 carte rare, 1 carta epica e 1 carta comune dorata. La carta di maggior valore che ho trovato è Undead Rex - Gold version che ha un valore sul mercato di 0,9 $ e un valore di conversione in DEC di 500.

Undead Rex è una carta che non uso molto nelle battaglie e per questo motivo la metterò subito in vendita.

Il valore totale delle carte che ho trovato all'interno dei forzieri è di 2.556 $

DEC e Pozioni

Ho trovato anche 24 Pozioni e un totale di 174 token DEC.

Oggi 31 Marzo 2021, 174 DEC equivalgono al valore di 0,22 HIVE (Highest BID su LeoDex/HiveEngine)

*** Come puoi vedere dai calcoli indicati nell'immagine seguente il valore in dollari di 174 token DEC è di **0,16 $** ***

E' interessante notare che anche se i token DEC hanno perso valore rispetto al rapporto DEC/HIVE il loro valore in dollari è cresciuto. Oggi 31 Marzo 2021 il valore di 1000 token DEC è molto vicino al valore di 1 dollaro ed è precisamente di 0,93$

Conclusione

Adesso faccio un po di calcoli:

costo totale noleggio carte: 0,52 $
valore carte trovate nei forzieri: 2,55 $
valore totale dei token DEC trovati nei forzieri: 0,16 $

Il profitto totale è stato di - 0,52 $ + 2,55 $ + 0,16 $ = 2,19 $.

Una ricompensa un pò deludente anche se il suo valore è superiore alla ricompensa della stagione precedente. Nella stagione appena iniziata cercherò di arrivare almeno in lega Champion III e se il prezzo delle carte continuerà ad aumentare anche nel mese di aprile, noleggerò un numero maggiore di carte.
