End-of-season considerations + my end-of-season reward

Hello Hivers and Splinterlands players, Today 31st May 2021 another season of Splinterlands has come to an end. I have been a Splinterlands player for almost 20 months now, so this last season should be my 40th season. It has been a good season because I have achieved for the second time in a row the goal I set myself at the beginning of the season: the Champion III league.

I reached Champion III with 16 hours to go before the end of the season but I couldn't go any further even though I was hoping to.

Two days before the end of the season I was in the Gold I league and had a rating score of 2759 points and a power score of 238940 points.

I finished the season at position 107 in the Chiampion league with a rating score of 4081 points. A good improvement from the previous season: Position 147 and a rating score of 3946.

The highest rating score I managed to achieve was 4110 points.

I really got close to the Champion II league and if I had an extra hour I might have made it.

I played 383 battles and my win rate was 53.26% which is slightly lower than my total win rate of 55.13%. I completed fewer battles than in the previous season but achieved a higher rating score.

In order to get into the Champion league, I increased my power rating by over 300000 points. I followed my last rental strategy and rented 32 cards from the https://peakmonsters.com/ marketplace.

I rented 5 summoner cards and 27 monster cards.

The summoner cards I rented were as follows:

The most expensive card I rented was Archmage Arius, Promo, Level 4. I spent $0.6 to be able to keep it for 3 days. Archmage Arius is the card I used the most out of all the summoner cards and who knows if I'll be able to rent it for the same price in the future.

I only rented cards with zero termination escrow (no penalty for early termination of the rental contract) and I terminated all contracts with an expiry date greater than one day.

For renting the cards I spent a total of $2.12 (almost twice as much as the previous season).

Renting cards two days before the end of the season instead of only on the last day allowed me to reach Champion III twice in a row, so the test phase is over and I will adopt the same rental strategy for the following seasons of Splinterland.

Now I'll show you the end-of-season reward I got.

My end of season reward *** Like the previous season, I reached Champion III and therefore received the same number of chests: 80. In the following picture you can see the cards I found inside the 80 chests. ***

I found 23 cards out of 80 chests. The chests can contain three types of rewards: Cards, DECs, Potions. The probability of finding a card in each chest is exactly 1/3, so I found 3 fewer cards than the average probability which is 26.6 cards (80/3= 26.6).

I found:

19 common cards
3 rare cards,
1 epic card and like the previous season no golden cards.

The most valuable card I found is the Dragon Elemental Epic Summoner Kretch Tallevor which has a market value of $0,400 and a DEC conversion value of 200.

The total value of the cards I found inside the chests is $1,250.

DEC and Potions

I also found 26 Potions and a total of 451 DEC tokens.

Based on the current value of DEC tokens (31 May 2021), 451 DEC equals the value of 0.9471 HIVE (Highest BID on LeoDex/HiveEngine)

The dollar value of 451 DEC tokens is 0.34 $

Conclusion

Now I do some calculations to determine the total value of the seasonal reward:

total card rental cost: 2.12 $
total value of cards found in chests: 1,250 $
total value of DEC tokens found in chests: 0.34 $.

For the first time in a long time, I get an end-of-season reward that is less than the cost of renting the cards. In fact I have a small loss of - $2.12 + $1,250 + $0.34 = -0.53$.

I received an unfortunate end-of-season reward but I consider my strategy profitable in the medium to long term and will therefore continue to adopt it.

Today I also bought 100 packs of Untamed cards (+10 bonus packs) from the Splinterlands Shop and spent 200000 DEC tokens but that will be the topic of a future post...

Considerazioni sulla fine di stagione + la mia ricompensa di fine stagione

Ciao Hivers e giocatori di Splinterlands, oggi 31 maggio 2021 è terminata un'altra stagione di Splinterlands. Sono un giocatore di Splinterlands da quasi 20 mesi e quindi quest'ultima stagione dovrebbe essere la mia quarantesima stagione. E' stata una stagione positiva perchè ho raggiunto per la seconda volta consecutiva l'obbiettivo che mi ero prefissato all'inizio della stagione: la lega Champion III.

Ho raggiunto la lega Champion III quando mancavano 16 ore alla fine della stagione ma non sono riuscito ad andare oltre anche se ci speravo.

Due giorni prima della fine della stagione ero in lega Gold I e avevo un punteggio di rating di 2759 punti e un punteggio power di 238940 punti.

Ho concluso la stagione alla posizione 107 della lega Chiampion con un punteggio di rating di 4081 punti. Un netto miglioramento rispetto alla stagione precedente: Posizione 147 e punteggio di rating di 3946.

Il massimo punteggio di rating che sono riuscito a raggiungere è stato di 4110 punti.

Mi sono davvero avvicinato alla lega Champion II e se avessi avuto un ora in più forse ce l'avrei fatta.

Ho giocato 383 battaglie e il mio win rate è stato del 53.26% leggermente più basso del mio win rate totale che è del 55.13%. Ho completato un numero minore di battaglie rispetto alla stagione precedente ma ho raggiunto un punteggio di rating maggiore.

Per poter accedere alla lega Champion ho incrementato il mio punteggio power di oltre 300000 punti. Ho seguito la mia ultima strategia di noleggio e ho noleggiato 32 carte dal mercato del sito https://peakmonsters.com/

Ho noleggiato 5 carte evocatore e 27 carte mostro.

La carta più costosa che ho noleggiato è stata la carta Archmage Arius, Promo, Level 4 Ho speso 0.6$ per poterla tenere 3 giorni. Archmage Arius è la carta che ho utilizzato di più tra tutte le carte evocatore e chissà se in futuro riuscirò a noleggiarla allo stesso e identico prezzo.

Ho noleggiato solo carte con il termination escrow uguale a zero (nessuna penale in caso di interruzione anticipata del contratto di noleggio) e ho terminato tutti i contratti con la scadenza superiore ad un giorno.

Per il noleggio delle carte ho speso in totale 2.12$ (quasi il doppio rispetto alla stagione precedente).

Noleggiare le carte due giorni prima della fine della stagione invece che solo durante l'ultimo giorno mi ha permesso di arrivare due volte consecutivamente in lega Champion III e quindi è finita la fase di test e adotterò la stessa e identica strategia di noleggio anche nelle successive stagioni di Splinterland.

Adesso ti mostro la ricompensa di fine stagione che ho ottenuto.

La mia ricompensa di fine stagione

Come la precedente stagione sono arrivato in Champion III e quindi ho ricevuto lo stesso numero di forzieri: 80. Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere le carte che ho trovato all'interno degli 80 forzieri.

Ho trovato 23 carte su 80 forzieri. I forzieri possono contenere tre tipologie di premi: Carte, DEC, Pozioni. La probabilità di trovare una carta in ogni forziere è esattamente di 1/3 e quindi ho trovato 3 carte in meno carte rispetto alla probabilità media che è di 26,6 carte (80/3= 26,6).

Ho trovato:

19 carte comuni
3 carte rare,
1 carta epiche e come la precedente stagione nessuna carta dorata.

La carta di maggior valore che ho trovato è l'evocatore epico dell'elemento Dragone Kretch Tallevor che ha un valore sul mercato di 0.400 $ e un valore di conversione in DEC di 200.

Il valore totale delle carte che ho trovato all'interno dei forzieri è di 1.250 $

DEC e Pozioni

Ho trovato anche 26 Pozioni e un totale di 451 token DEC.

In base al valore attuale dei token DEC (31 maggio 2021), 451 DEC equivalgono al valore di 0.9471 HIVE (Highest BID su LeoDex/HiveEngine)

Il valore in dollari di 451 token DEC è di 0.34 $

Conclusione

Adesso faccio un po di calcoli per determinare il valore totale della ricompensa stagionale:

costo totale noleggio carte: 2.12 $
valore totale delle carte trovate nei forzieri: 1.250 $
valore totale dei token DEC trovati nei forzieri: 0.34 $

Per la prima volta dopo tanto tempo ottengo una ricompensa di fine stagione inferiore al costo che ho sostenuto per il noleggio delle carte. Infatti ho una piccla perdita di - 2.12 $ + 1.250 $ + 0.34 $ = -0.53 $.

Ho ricevuto una ricompensa di fine stagione decisamente sfortunata ma reputo la mia strategia vantaggiosa nel medio lungo periodo e quindi continuerò ad adottarla.

Oggi ho anche comprato 100 pacchi di carte Untamed (+10 pacchi bonus) dallo Shop di Splinterlands e ho speso 200000 token DEC ma questo sarà l'argomento di un mio prossimo post...
