End of season considerations + my end of season reward

Hi Hivers and Splinterlands players, June 30, 2021 marked the end of season number 52 of Splinterlands. I discovered the beautiful game of Splinterlands when the game mechanism of seasons had already started and the recently ended season is my 42nd season. My goal for the season was to get at least in the Champion III league but after three consecutive seasons in which I have always reached my goal this time I got stuck in the Diamond I league a few points away from the Champion III league.

Two days before the end of the season I was in the Gold I league, I had a rating score of 2709 points and a power score of 260815 points.

I finished the season at position number 164 in the Diamond league standings and with a rating score of 3403 points.

The highest rating score I achieved during the season was 3627 points. Only 73 points kept me from reaching my season game goal.

I played far fewer battles than I did the previous season and my win rate deteriorated by almost five percentage points: from 55.42% to 50.67%.

In order to have the possibility to enter the Champion III league I rented some cards from the PeakMonsters market (https://peakmonsters.com/) that allowed me to overcome even if temporarily a power score of 500000 points.

On the penultimate day before the end of the season I rented 28 cards: 4 summoner cards and 24 monster cards:

The cards I listed above cost me $0.69 per day.

On the last day before the end of the season I rented 6 more cards:

Undead Badger, Untamed, Level 10
Maggots, Untamed, Level 6
Lord Arianthus, Reward, Level 4

On the last day of the season my rental cost increased and it was $1.30

I chose to rent only cards with Terminatio Escrow equal to 0 (no penalty in case of early termination of the rental contract) and at the end of the season I stopped all rental contracts. I spent a total of $1.99 ($1.30 + $0.69).

The most expensive card I rented was the Archmage Arius, Promo, Level 4 card which I rented for one day only and for which I spent $0.450.

The season wasn't good as far as in-game goals go, let's see if at least the end-of-season rewards were satisfying.

My end-of-season reward

Since I didn't finish the season in Champion III league I received twenty less chests than the previous season: 60 chests. In the following image you can see the cards I found inside the 60 chests.

I found 20 cards out of 60 chests. The chests can hold three types of rewards: Cards, DECs, Potions. The probability of finding a card in each chest is exactly 1/3, so I found exactly the most likely number of cards (60/3= 20).

I found:

16 common cards
2 rare cards,
1 legendary card
1 golden common card

The most valuable card I found is the Almo Cambio legendary card which has a market value of $10,990 and a DEC conversion value of 1000.

I have to consider whether to sell the Almo Cambio card or keep it but I'm more inclined to sell it because at level 1 it's not very useful in battle and with its sale I could continue to upgrade my card collection.

The total value of the cards I found inside the chests is 13,048 $

DEC and Potions

I also found 19 Potions and a total of 511 DEC tokens.

Based on the current value of DEC tokens (July 2, 2021), 511 DEC is equivalent to the value of 1.79872 HIVE (Highest BID on LeoDex/HiveEngine)

The dollar value of 511 DEC tokens is $0.56

Conclusion

Now I'll do some calculations to determine the total value of the seasonal reward:

total card rental cost: 1.99 $
total value of cards found in chests: 13.048 $
total value of DEC tokens found in the chests: 0.56 $

Unlike the previous season where for the first time since I've been playing Splinterlands I had a small loss, this season went much better and I can feel satisfied. In fact, I made a profit of - $1.99 + $13,048 + $0.56 = +11,618.

I'm also happy to have found 20 potions that I will need to continue opening packs of Untamed cards that I bought in the past and haven't opened yet because I didn't have enough alchemical and legendary potions to use.

Ho scoperto il bellissimo gioco di Splinterlands quando il meccanismo di gioco delle stagioni era già iniziato e la stagione conclusa da poco è la mia 42 stagione. Due giorni prima della fine della stagione ero in lega Gold I, avevo un punteggio di rating di 2709 punti e un punteggio power di 260815 punti.

Ho concluso la stagione alla posizione numero 164 della classifica della lega Diamond e con un punteggio di rating di 3403 punti.

Il massimo punteggio di rating che ho raggiunto durante la stagione è stato di 3627 punti. Solo 73 punti mi hanno impedito di raggiungere il mio obbiettivo di gioco stagionale.

Ho giocato molte meno battaglie rispetto alla stagione precedente e il mio win rate è peggiorato di quasi cinque punti percentuali: da 55,42% a 50.67%.

Per avere la possibilità di accedere alla lega Champion III ho noleggiato alcune carte dal mercato di PeakMonsters (https://peakmonsters.com/) che mi hanno permesso di superare anche se temporaneamente un punteggio power di 500000 punti.

Il penultimo giorno prima della fine della stagione ho noleggiato 28 carte: 4 carte evocatore e 24 carte mostro:

L'ultimo giorno prima della fine della stagione ho noleggiato altre 6 carte:

L'ultimo giorno della stagione il mio costo di noleggio è aumentato ed è stato di 1.30$

Ho scelto di noleggiare solo carte con il Terminatio Escrow uguale a 0 (nessuna penalità in caso di interruzione anticipata del contratto di noleggio) e terminata la stagione ho interrotto tutti i contratti di noleggio. Ho speso in totale 1.99$ (1.30$ + 0.69$).

La carta più costosa che ho noleggiato è stata la carta Archmage Arius, Promo, Level 4 che ho noleggiato per un giorno solo e per la quale ho speso 0.450$.

La stagione non è stata positiva per quanto riguarda gli obbiettivi di gioco, vediamo se almeno la ricompensa di fine stagione è stata soddisfacente.

La mia ricompensa di fine stagione

Non avendo terminato la stagione in lega Champion III ho ricevuto venti forzieri in meno rispetto alla stagione precedente: 60 forzieri. Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere le carte che ho trovato all'interno dei 60 forzieri.

Ho trovato 20 carte su 60 forzieri. I forzieri possono contenere tre tipologie di premi: Carte, DEC, Pozioni. La probabilità di trovare una carta in ogni forziere è esattamente di 1/3 e quindi ho trovato esattamente il numero più probabile di carte (60/3= 20).

Ho trovato:

16 carte comuni
2 carte rare,
1 carta leggendaria
1 carta comune d'oro

La carta di maggior valore che ho trovato è la carta leggendaria Almo Cambio che ha un valore di mercato di 10.990$ $ e un valore di conversione in DEC di 1000.

Devo valutare se vendere la carta Almo Cambio o tenerla ma sono più propenso a venderla perchè al livello 1 non è molto utile in battaglia e con la sua vendita potrei continuare a potenziare la mia collezione di carte.

Il valore totale delle carte che ho trovato all'interno dei forzieri è di 13.048 $

DEC e Pozioni

Ho trovato anche 19 Pozioni e un totale di 511 token DEC.

In base al valore attuale dei token DEC (2 luglio 2021), 511 DEC equivalgono al valore di 1.79872 HIVE (Highest BID su LeoDex/HiveEngine)

Il valore in dollari di 511 token DEC è di 0.56 $

Conclusione

Adesso faccio un po di calcoli per determinare il valore totale della ricompensa stagionale:

costo totale noleggio carte: 1.99 $
valore totale delle carte trovate nei forzieri: 13.048 $
valore totale dei token DEC trovati nei forzieri: 0.56 $

A differenza della stagione precedente dove per la prima volta da quando gioco a Splinterlands avevo ottenuto una piccola perdita, questa stagione è andata decisamente meglio e mi posso ritenere soddisfatto. Infatti ho ottenuto un profitto di - 1.99 $ + 13.048 $ + 0.56 $ = +11.618 $.

Sono contento anche di aver trovato 20 pozioni che mi serviranno per continuare ad aprire i pacchi di carte Untamed che ho comprato in passato e che non ho ancora aperto perchè non avevo sufficienti pozioni alchemiche e leggendarie da utilizzare.
