Farming Tales is an NFT-based farming simulator built and developed on the WAX blockchain. I have a natural preference for games built and developed on the blockchain of Hive because Hive is the blockchain project I care more and in which I am more active but when I discovered Farming Tales I decided to make an exception because I immediately saw the potential in this game, potential that depends mainly on two peculiarities that Farming Tales has and that many other blockchain based farming games don't have:

• Farming Tales has beautiful graphics and uses a 3D graphics engine.
• Farming Tales has some NFT that are linked to real goods from real farms (saffron, honey,...).

Another point in favor of Farming Tales over other farming games is that it chose my beloved Hive to:

• post game-related updates (account: @farmingtales).

• run a weekly contest to incentivize its players to sign up and post content on Hive.

In addition, Farming Tales has among its future goals to integrate on the Hive blockchain (Q3 - 2022).

After this brief introduction to the Farming Tales game, let's take a look at the latest news and updates regarding Farming Tales (reference period: March 23, 2022 - March 31, 2022).

## Farming Tales News

The development team is working on the release of the New Wanchester which will introduce a new production system that will allow NFTs in the game to produce food and vegetables that can be sold or used to produce other game elements and will also be useful to complete quests, another game element that will be implemented in the future.

Although the "New Wanchester" update has not yet been introduced, the first building of the new Wanchester is currently being sold: the Windmill.

The Windmill

The Windmill is a unique NFT representing a building.Due to the exclusivity and uniqueness of this NFT, the auction sale mechanism was chosen.

The sale began on March 27, 2022 within the Auctions channel of the Farming Tales Discord server and will end on April 3, 2022 at 20:04:27 UTC.

In order to participate in the Wildmill auction you need to have the Auction role which is obtained:

• inserting the address of the WAX wallet inside the wallet-link channel
• by typing the command !link yourwallet inside the auction-wallet-link channel.

I registered to participate in future auction sales that will be within my reach but I didn't try to bid for the Windmill because I knew I wouldn't be able to get it with my 30000 SEST tokens.

In fact there are still more than three days left to the end of the auction and the current highest bid is 900400 SEST tokens whose corresponding dollar value is 1859.91$.

I am curious to see what the final purchase price will be but I believe it will be at least double the current price.

New Buildings Blend Evaluations

On March 28, 2022, the possibility of blending **NFTs** of type **Building** was expanded, which before this date was only possible for the following NFTs of type Buildings: - **Stables** - **Shelters** - **Chicken Coops** - **Vegetable Gardens**

Today it is possible to perform the blending operation on all NFTs of type buildings except for legendary buildings that have a single rarity.

In today's post I want to share the evaluation of the blending operation on the last buildings to which this possibility has been enabled:

• Silo
• Water Tower
• Barn

The buildings Silo and Water Tower are very important in the dynamics of the game Farming Tales because to perform the operation of harvesting is necessary to have a minimum amount of food or water that will be consumed at the time of harvest and that varies depending on the type of NFT used.

For example, to harvest an Arlequin Goat NFT you need 9 units of food. To harvest a Vegetable Garden NFT with a Wheat Seed NFT you need 18 units of water.

On Farming Tales each harvest operation has a cost in CBIT tokens and having an NFT Water Tower or Silo type Epic instead of common allows you to reduce the cost of harvesting as you can see from the calculations in the following tables.

The Barn building is not yet useful in the game but it will be when the New Wanchester will be introduced.

The question I asked myself and will answer in this post with some calculations is as follows: *What is the most convenient way to get a Water Tower, Silo and Barn card: buying from the market, crafting or blending?

In order to make a purchase of a Farming Tales NFT at the most affordable price, it is always important to first compare the purchase cost for each possible purchase option.

It is therefore important to know the value of all tokens that can be used to purchase NFTs.

Today March 31, 2022:

• 1 WAX = $0.362395.
• 1 SEST = 0.00207$.
• 1 CBIT = 0.04675$.

Let's start with the NFT Water Tower.

## Epic Water Tower: The best case purchase The NFT Water Tower has a cost of: - **250 WAX** on AtomicHub/NeftyBlocks. - **80000 SEST** on Farming Tales (Crafting) - **18 WAX or 50000 SEST + 40000 SEST** (Blending)

In the table in the image below I have calculated the purchase cost in dollars for each viable purchase option to identify the most cost saving purchase option to use.

The best possible purchase today, March 31, 2022, is the purchase made through the Blending operation obtained using the Rare type Water Tower purchased on AtomicHub/Neftyblock.

The savings compared to the purchase on AtomicHub is minimal but it is always a saving ;) The worst choice is instead the purchase through the Crafting operation on Farming Tales.

## Epic Silo: Best Case Purchase

The NFT Silo of Epic type has a cost of:

• 375 WAX on AtomicHub/NeftyBlocks
• ** 80000 SEST** on Farming Tales (Crafting)
• 20 WAX or 50000 SEST + 40000 SEST (Blending)

Also for the Epic Silo I calculated the purchase cost in dollars for each viable purchase option to identify the most convenient purchase option to use (table image below).

Today March 31st 2022 it is more convenient to buy the Epico Silo through the Blending operation and in this case the saving is definitely higher as you can see from the data in the following image.

## Epic Barn: The best buy case

The Epic type NFT Barn has a cost of:

• 210 WAX on AtomicHub/NeftyBlocks.
• 20 WAX or 50000 SEST + 40000 SEST (Blending)

Unlike the Water Tower and Silo NFTs, the Barn building cannot be purchased from the Market section of Farming Tales via the Crafting operation and for this reason there are only two purchase options to compare.

As you can see from the calculations I made the best option to buy the NFT Barn of Epico type is the direct purchase from the market of AtomicHub or NeftyBlocks and the saving is 13.05$ compared to the cost of the blending operation.

## Final Considerations

My gaming/investment activity on Farming Tales is twofold because I play two roles:

• I am a simple player who has decided to invest in the purchase of NFT and tokens
• I am an operator of the Cartel project of the beautiful community called OneUp.

Le Novità su Farming Tales e le Nuove Possibilità di Blends Introdotte

**Farming Tales** è un simulatore di farming basato su NFT costruito e sviluppato sulla blockchain **WAX**. Le particolarità di Farming Tales che mi hanno convinto a giocarci e ad investirci sono le seguenti: - Farming Tales ha una **bella grafica** e utilizza un **motore grafico 3D** - Farming Tales ha alcuni **NFT** che sono **collegati a beni reali di reali fattorie** (zafferano, miele,...).

Un'altro punto a favore di Farming Tales rispetto ad altri giochi di farming è che ha scelto la mia amata Hive per:

# Farming Tales News:

Il team di sviluppo è al lavoro per il rilascio della New Wanchester che introdurrà un nuovo sistema di produzione che permetterà agli NFT del gioco di produrre cibo e vegetali che potranno essere poi venduti o utilizzati per produrre altri elementi di gioco e saranno anche utili per completare le quests, altro elemento del gioco che sarà implementanto in futuro.

Anche se l'aggiornamento "New Wanchester" non è stato ancora introdotto è in corso la vendita del primo edificio della nuova Wanchester: il Windmill.

Il Windmill

Il Windmill è un NFT unico che rappresenta un edificio.Data l'esclusività e l'unicità di questo NFT è stata scelto il meccanismo della vendita all'asta.

La vendita è iniziata il 27 marzo 2022 all'interno del canale Auctions del server Discord di Farming Tales e terminerà il 3 aprile 2022 alle ore 20:04:27 UTC.

Per partecipare alla vendita all'asta del Wildmill è necessario avere l'Auction role che si ottiene:

• inserendo l'indirizzo del WAX wallet all'interno del canale wallet-link
• digitando il comando !link yourwallet all'interno del canale auction-wallet-link.

Io mi sono registrato per partecipare alle future vendite all'asta che saranno alla mia portata ma non ho provato a fare offerte di acquito per il Windmill perchè sapevo che non sarei stato in grado di ottenerlo con i miei 30000 token SEST.

Infatti mancano ancora più di tre giorni alla fine della vendita all'asta e l'offerta di acquisto attuale più alta è di 900400 SEST il cui corrispondente valore in dollari è di 1859.91$.

Sono curioso di vedere quale sarà il prezzo finale di acquisto ma credo che sarà almeno il doppio di quello attuale.

New Buildings Blend Considerations

Il 28 marzo 2022 è stata ampliata la possibilità di blending degli **NFT** di tipo **Building** che prima di questa data era possibile solo per i seguenti NFT di tipo Buildings: - **Stables** - **Shelters** - **Chicken Coops** - **Vegetable Gardens**

Oggi è quindi possibile effettuare l'operazione di blending su tutti gli NFT di tipo buildings ad esclusione degli edifici leggendari che hanno una singola rarità.

Nel post di oggi voglio condividere la valutazione dell'operazione di blending relativa agli ultimi edifici a cui è stata abilitata questa possibilità:

• Silo
• Water Tower
• Barn

Gli edifici Silo e Water Tower sono molto importanti nelle dinamiche del gioco di Farming Tales perchè per effettuare l'operazione di harvest è necessario avere un minimo quantitativo di cibo o acqua che verrà consumato al momento dell'harvest e che varia in base alla tipologia di NFT utilizzato.

Ad esempio per effettuare l'operazione di harvest da un NFT Arlequin Goat sono necessarie 9 unità di cibo. Per effettuare l'operazione di harvest da un NFT Vegetable Garden in cui è stato utilizzato un NFT di tipo Seme Wheat è necessario avere 18 unità di acqua.

Su Farming Tales ogni operazione di harvest ha un costo in token CBIT e avere un NFT Water Tower o Silo di tipo Epico invece che comune permette di ridurre i costi di harvest come puoi vedere dai calcoli presenti nelle tabelle seguenti.

L'edificio Barn invece non ha ancora un'utilità all'interno del gioco ma l'avrà quando sarà introdotta la New Wanchester.

La domanda che mi sono posto e a cui risponderò in questo post con alcuni calcoli è la seguente: Qual'è il modo più conveniente per ottenere una carta Water Tower, Silo e Barn: acquisto dal mercato, crafting o blending?

Scopriamolo insieme ;)

Gli NFT di Farming Tales possono essere acquistati/ottenuti:

• dalla sezione Market di Farming Tales utilizzando i token SEST (operazione di Crafting)

Per effettuare l'acquisto di un NFT di Farming Tales al prezzo più conveniente è sempre importante prima confrontare il costo di acquisto per ogni opzione di acquisto possibile.

E' quindi importante conoscere il valore di tutti i token utilizzabili per l'acquisto degli NFT.

Iniziamo dall'NFT Water Tower.

## Epic Water Tower: Il miglior caso di acquisto L'NFT Water Tower ha un costo di: - 250 WAX su AtomicHub/NeftyBlocks - 80000 SEST su Farming Tales (Crafting) - 18 WAX o 50000 SEST + 40000 SEST (Blending)

Nella tabella presente nell'immagine seguente ho calcolato il costo di acquisto in dollari per ogni opzione di acquisto percorribile per individuare l'opzione di acquisto più conveniente da utilizzare.

Il miglior acquisto possibile oggi 31 marzo 2022 è l'acquisto effettuato tramite l'operazione di Blending ottenuta utilizzando la Water Tower di tipo Raro acquistata su AtomicHub/Neftyblock.

Il risparmio rispetto all'acquisto su AtomicHub è minimo ma è sempre un risparmio ;) La scelta peggiore è invece l'acquisto tramite l'operazione di Crafting su Farming Tales.

## Silo Epico: Il miglior caso di acquisto

L'NFT Silo di tipo Epico ha un costo di:

• 375 WAX su AtomicHub/NeftyBlocks
• 80000 SEST su Farming Tales (Crafting)
• 20 WAX o 50000 SEST + 40000 SEST (Blending)

Anche per il Silo di tipo Epico ho calcolato il costo di acquisto in dollari per ogni opzione di acquisto percorribile per individuare l'opzione di acquisto più conveniente da utilizzare (tabella immagine seguente).

Oggi 31 marzo 2022 conviene acquistare il Silo di tipo Epico tramite l'operazione di Blending e in questo caso il risparmio è decisamente più alto come puoi vedere dai dati presenti nell'immagine seguente.

## Epic Barn: Il miglior caso di acquisto

L'NFT Barn di tipo Epico ha un costo di:

• 210 WAX su AtomicHub/NeftyBlocks
• 20 WAX o 50000 SEST + 40000 SEST (Blending)

A differenza degli NFT Water Tower e Silo, l'edificio Barn non può essere acquistato dalla sezione Market di Farming Tales tramite l'operazione di Crafting e per questo motivo le opzioni di acquisto da confrontare sono solo sue.

Come puoi vedere dai calcoli che ho effettuato l'opzione migliore per acquistare l'NFT Barn di tipo Epico è l'acquisto diretto dal mercato di AtomicHub o NeftyBlocks e il risparmio è di 13.05$ rispetto al costo dell'operazione di blending.

## Considerazioni Finali

La mia attività di gioco/investimento su Farming Tales è duplice perchè svolgo due ruoli:

• sono un semplice giocatore che ha deciso di investire nell'acquisto di NFT e tokens
• sono un operatore del progetto Cartel della bellissima comunità che si chiama OneUp.
