Farming Tales News and OneUp Cartel Investment - Operator Cartel's Weekly Report -

Farming Tales is an NFT-based farming simulator built and developed on the WAX blockchain.

On Farming Tales I play two roles:

I am a player who has invested in the purchase of NFTs and tokens
I am an operator of the Cartel project of the beautiful community called OneUp.

OneUp is a community of Hive's blockchain focused on blockchain games and NFT games OneUp Cartel is: - a Meta Gaming Guild - a Meta Curation - a Meta Dividend Token

Oneup Cartel has decided to invest 500 HBD in the game of Farming Tales and has entrusted me with the management of its investment, and this post is my third weekly operator report. Starting this week I have decided to change the format of my weekly report:

I will start with a first part of update on the development of the game Farming Tales
I'll conclude with the financial results I've recorded so far.

## Farming Tales News ## First Drop of DAO tokens: LIRA *** The first interesting news announced yesterday by Farming Tales on their discord channel is the upcoming release of **LIRA** tokens. LIRA tokens are Farming Tales game governance tokens that will be distributed starting next week to Farming Tales players based on the amount of **SEST tokens staked**. LIRA tokens will be non-sellable, non-transferable tokens and will be distributed according to the following distribution mechanism: **10000 SEST tokens (stacked) = 1 LIRA token per week**

Farming Tale is a very young game but the development proceeds very fast compared to other farming games and in fact after less than five months from the beginning of the sale of the game NFT on AtomicHub there will be already the distribution of DAO tokens.

Any decentralization process is an added value for any blockchain-based game and I'm happy that players/investors will be able to have a say on the next choices and decide on the future of the Farming Tales game.

Valentine's Day Blendin Event

E' in corso l'iniziativa "Valentine's Day Blendin Event" che permette ai giocatori di ricevere degli NFT di tipo Animals di rarità leggendaria.

Gli animali leggendari avranno quasi le stesse statistiche di produzione degli animali epici (produzione per ora) ma avranno un consumo in termini di cibo inferiore e quindi avranno un costo per Harvest inferiore (token CBIT).

White Paper Updated and Road Map Updated

The Farming Tales White Paper has been updated with the latest additions including DAO tokens and Legendary Animals: https://nodo42.gitbook.io/farming-tales-the-game/

The Road Map has also been updated and as you can see from the information in the following image the release of the most important change to the game (New Wanchester release) is scheduled for the month of April.

There is also another development goal that I really like:

Farming Tales on Hive Blockchain (Q3 - 2022).

## OneUp Cartel Investment ## Initial Budget *** My OneUp Cartel operator activity on Farming Tales began on January 29, when I completed the conversion of 500 HBDs into 1583 WAX tokens. Today, February 16, is 18 days later.

## The Assets Purchased *** ### CPU In order to perform operations on the WAX blockchain you need to have a minimum of resources (NET, CPU, RAM). For example, the Harvest operation within the Farming Tales game mainly requires the use of the CPU resource.

For this reason I have allocated 37 WAX tokens to the CPU resource.

NFT

Farming Tales is not a free game because you need to make an initial investment that consists primarily of purchasing at least one of the following card combinations (NFT):

Hen + Coop
Goose + Shelter
Goat + Stable
Cow + Stable
Sheep + Stable
Pig + Stable
Garden
Lumberjack
Fishing Pier
Hive

All Farming Tales NFTs can be purchased:

To choose which NFTs to buy, I relied on calculating the estimated annual ROI for each NFT combination on the market.

For the past week I have not purchased any NFTs and to date I have purchased a total of 15 NFTs:

1 NFT Garden

To purchase the 15 NFTs I listed above, I spent a total of 1106.42 WAX.

The prices of the Farming Tales cards have been quite stable for about a month but two days after the beginning of the investment by OneUp Cartel there has been a progressive collapse of the prices because some players have sold some cards at very low prices. For this reason the current value of the card collection of the OneUp Cartel investment is lower than the initial value.

In the following table you can see the list of the cards I have purchased until today with the indication of the purchase prices and the current market prices.

Only one of the Stable cards I purchased at the price of 39 WAX has gained value this week while all the other NFTs have lost value relative to the initial cost incurred.

But this week there is one positive to record, all cards have recovered some of their value compared to seven days ago.

The total market value of the collection of cards I built for the OneUp Cartel project has increased over the past week but the difference in value (total purchase price - total current market value) is still negative: -134.00$ (previous report: -184.89$).

SEST tokens

In the Farming Tales game, the Harvest operation allows players to receive a certain amount of SEST tokens as a reward. To perform the Harvest operation, however, it is necessary to have food and water. Food and water are consumable game items and represent a cost and can be purchased using CBIT tokens (utility tokens).

SEST tokens can be staked for a daily CBIT token reward.

In order to have a self-sufficient farm that can collect SEST token rewards without having to cyclically purchase CBIT tokens from the markets, I purchased 14970 SEST tokens that I staked all within the Wallet section of Farming Tales.

To purchase 14970 SEST tokens, I used the Alchor exchange (https://wax.alcor.exchange/) and spent a total of 195 WAX (January 30, 2022).

## The game rewards ***

In 18 days of playing/investing on Farming Tales I have earned the following rewards:

6267 tokens SEST
58.68 CBIT tokens

6267 SEST tokens are the result of game activity (Harvests operations)

58.68 CBIT tokens are the result of the stacking of SEST tokens

I have continued to increase the amount of SEST tokens in staking by adding from time to time the SEST tokens obtained from the harvesting activity.

Today February 16, 2022 OneUp Cartel has a total of 21237 SEST in stacking. This amount of SEST tokens guarantees a daily reward of 7.8718 CBIT tokens = $0.350 per day

Since my last report and in seven days the amount of daily rewards in terms of CBIT tokens has increased by +0.132 CBIT (7,871 - 7,739).

The total value of rewards earned in 18 days is $15.58 (45.17 WAX)

## Profit and ROI ***

It's time to compare costs and revenues.

In the following image you can see the prospectus I created to show and track the financial results of the Farming Tales investment I manage for OneUp Cartel.

The financial results are also negative this week but better than the previous week:

Profit: - 448.43 WAX = - 154.71S
ROI: - 33.50%.

The calculations in my prospectus take into consideration only the investments made using WAX tokens and do not take into consideration:

the dollar value of the initial investment
the variation of the value in dollars of the WAX tokens
the amount of WAX tokens present in the wallet and not yet invested.

The financial result to be considered is as follows:

Profit: - 95.77S
ROI: - 19.67%.

## A negative ROI but with only 18 days of activity *** OneUp Cartel's investment in Farming Tales has reached **18 actual days of activity** and so far has produced negative financial results.

It's just my personal opinion but I consider these results yes negative but only temporary for the following reasons:

Farming Tales has a very active development team and if I compare the development time with other competing games it is evident the difference in speed Farming Tales has had so far. In addition, looking at the Road Map, there are many improvements planned for the future.
Most of the cards are not for sale and this shows that many players believe in this project.
Farming Tales has some peculiarities that differentiate it from other farming games:
- it uses a 3D graphics engine
- it has NFTs that represent real goods of real farms

If the values of the SEST and CBIT tokens and the market values of the NFTs of Farming Tales were to remain as they are today I should reach the break-even point in 110.62 days.

For the above reasons, the negative result (ROI) that I have recorded today does not worry me and indeed could be the basis for continuing to invest...

Farming Tale è un gioco molto giovane ma lo sviluppo procede molto velocemente rispetto ad altri giochi di farming e infatti dopo meno di cinque mesi dall'inizio della vendita degli NFT di gioco su AtomicHub ci sarà già la distribuzione dei token DAO.

Ogni processo di decentralizzazione è un valore aggiunto per ogni gioco basato su blockchain e sono felice che i giocatori/investitori potranno avere una voce in capitolo sulle prossime scelte e decidere del futuro del gioco di Farming Tales.

White Paper Aggiornato e Road Map Aggiornata

Il White Paper di Farming Tales è stato aggiornato con l'introduzione delle ultime novità tra cui i token DAO e i Leggendary Animals: https://nodo42.gitbook.io/farming-tales-the-game/

E' stata aggiornata anche la Road Map e come puoi vedere dalle informazioni presenti nell'immagine seguente il rilascio della modifica più importante al gioco (New Wanchester release) è prevista per il mese di Aprile.

## OneUp Cartel Investment ## Budget Iniziale *** La mia attività da operatore di OneUp Cartel su Farming Tales è iniziata il 29 gennaio, quando ho completato la conversione di 500 HBD in 1583 token WAX. Oggi 16 febbraio sono passati 18 giorni.

## Gli Assets acquistati *** ### CPU Per effettuare le operazioni sulla blockchain di WAX è necessario avere un minimo di risorse (NET, CPU, RAM). Ad esempio l'operazione di Harvest all'interno del gioco di Farming Tales richiede principalmente l'utilizzo della risorsa CPU.

Per questo motivo ho destinato 37 token WAX alla risorsa CPU.

Farming Tales non è un gioco gratuito perchè è necessario effettuare un investimento iniziale che consiste principalmente nell'acquisto di almeno una delle seguenti combinazioni di carte (NFT):

Per acquistare i 15 NFT che ho elencato sopra ho speso in totale 1106.42 WAX.

I prezzi delle carte di Farming Tales sono stati abbastanza stabili per circa un mese ma due giorni dopo l'inizio dell'investimento da parte di OneUp Cartel c'è stato un progressivo crollo dei prezzi perchè alcuni giocatori hanno venduto alcune carte a prezzi davvero bassi. Per questo motivo il valore attuale della collezione di carte dell'investimento OneUp Cartel è inferiore al valore iniziale.

Nella tabella seguente puoi vedere l'elenco delle carte che ho acquistato fino ad oggi con l'indicazione dei prezzi di acquisto e dei prezzi di mercato attuali.

Solo una delle carte Stable che ho acquistato al prezzo di 39 WAX ha acquistato valore in questa settimana mentre tutti gli altri NFT hanno perso valore rispetto al costo iniziale sostenuto.

Ma questa settimana c'è un dato positivo da registrare, tutte le carte hanno recuperato parte del loro valore rispetto a sette giorni fa.

Il valore totale di mercato della collezione di carte che ho costruito per il progetto OneUp Cartel è cresciuto nell'ultima settimana ma la differenza di valore (prezzo totale di acquisto - valore di mercato totale attuale) è comunque negativa: -134.00$ (report precedente: -184.89$).

Token SEST

Nel gioco di Farming Tales l'operazione di Harvest permette ai giocatori di ricevere come ricompensa un certo quantitativo di token SEST. Per effettuare l'operazione di Harvest è però necessario avere cibo e acqua. Il cibo e l'acqua sono elementi di gioco consumabili e rappresentano un costo e sono acquistabili utilizzando i token CBIT (utility tokens)

I token SEST possono essere messi in stake per ottenere una ricompensa in token CBIT giornaliera.

Per avere una fattoria autosufficiente in grado di raccogliere le ricompense in token SEST senza dover acquistare ciclicamente i token CBIT dai mercati esterni al gioco, ho acquistato 14970 token SEST che ho messo tutti in stake all'interno della sezione Wallet di Farming Tales.

Per acquistare 14970 token SEST ho utilizzato l'exchange Alchor (https://wax.alcor.exchange/) e ho speso in totale 195 WAX (30 gennaio 2022).

## Le ricompense di gioco ***

In 18 giorni di gioco/investimento su Farming Tales ho ottenuto le seguenti ricompense:

6267 token SEST
58.68 token CBIT

6267 token SEST sono il frutto dell'attività di gioco (operazioni di Harvests)

58.68 token CBIT sono il frutto dello stacking dei token SEST

Ho continuato ad aumentare il quantitativo di token SEST in staking aggiungendo di volta in volta i token SEST ottenuti dall'attività di raccolta.

Oggi 16 febbraio 2022 OneUp Cartel ha un totale di 21237 SEST in stacking. Questo quantitativo di token SEST garantisce una ricompensa giornaliera di 7.8718 token CBIT = 0.350$ al giorno

Dal mio ultimo report e in sette giorni il quantitativo delle ricompense giornaliere in termini dei token CBIT è aumentato di +0.132 CBIT (7.871 - 7.739).

E' arrivato il momento di confrontare costi e ricavi.

Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere il prospetto che ho creato per mostrare e monitorare i risultati finanziari dell'investimento su Farming Tales che gestisco per OneUp Cartel.

I risultati finanziari sono anche questa settimana negativi ma migliori della settimana precedente:

Profit: - 448.43 WAX = - 154.71S

I calcoli presenti nel mio prospetto tengono conto solo degli investimenti effettuati utilizzando i token WAX e non tengono conto:

del valore in dollari dell'investimento iniziale
della variazione del valore in dollari dei token WAX
del quantitativo di token WAX presente nel wallet e non ancora investiti.

Il risultato finanziario da prendere in considerazione è il seguente:

Profit: - 95.77S
ROI: - 19.67%

## Un ROI negativo ma con solo 18 giorni di attività *** L'investimento su Farming Tales da parte di OneUp Cartel ha raggiunto i **18 giorni effettivi di attività** e fino ad ora ha prodotto risultati finanziari negativi.

E' solo la mia personale opinione ma considero questi risultati si negativi ma solo temporanei per i seguenti motivi:

Farming Tales ha un team di sviluppo molto attivo e se confronto i tempi di sviluppo con altri giochi concorrenti è evidente la differenza di velocità che ha avuto fino ad ora Farming Tales. Inoltre, guardando la Road Map, sono tanti i miglioromenti previsti per il futuro.
la maggior parte delle carte non è in vendita e questo mostra che molti giocatori credono in questo progetto.
Farming Tales ha alcune particolarità che lo differenziano da altri giochi di farming:
- utilizza un motore grafico 3D
- ha NFT che rappresentano beni reali di reali fattorie

Se i valori dei token SEST e CBIT e i valori di mercato degli NFT di Farming Tales dovessero rimanere quelli attuali dovrei raggiungere il punto di pareggio in 110.62 giorni.

Per i motivi sopra esposti il risultato negativo (ROI) che ho registrato oggi non mi preoccupa e anzi potrebbe essere la base per continuare ad investire...
