Farming Tales is an NFT-based farming simulator built and developed on the WAX blockchain. I have a natural preference for games built and developed on the blockchain of Hive because Hive is the blockchain project I care more and in which I am more active but when I discovered Farming Tales I decided to make an exception because I immediately saw the potential in this game, potential that depends mainly on two peculiarities that Farming Tales has and that many other blockchain based farming games don't have:

• Farming Tales has beautiful graphics and uses a 3D graphics engine.
• Farming Tales has some NFT that are linked to real goods from real farms (saffron, honey,...).

Another point in favor of Farming Tales over other farming games is that it chose my beloved Hive to:

• post game-related updates (account: @farmingtales).

• run a weekly contest to incentivize its players to sign up and post content on Hive.

In addition, Farming Tales has among its future goals to integrate on the Hive blockchain (Q3 - 2022).

After this brief introduction to the Farming Tales game, let's take a look at the latest news and updates regarding Farming Tales.

## Farming Tales News

The development team is working on the development and release of New Wanchester which will be a major update that will change the gameplay dynamics of Farming Tales. With the release of the New Wanchester there will be the introduction of a new production system that will allow NFTs in the game to no longer produce SEST tokens but food and vegetables that can be sold or used to produce other game elements and will also be useful to complete quests that will be another game element that will be introduced in the future.

The first big and upcoming news concerns the sale of the first building of the new Wanchester: the Windmill.

The Windmill

As announced on March 20 in the Annuncements channel of the Farming Tales Discord server, there will be a sale of New Wanchester's first building, the WindMill, on March 27, 2022.

Due to the exclusivity and uniqueness of this NFT the sales mechanism will be that of auction sale.

The sale will be held on the Farming Tales Discord server and those who wish to participate must have the Auction role which is obtained by:

• inserting the WAX wallet address inside the wallet-link channel
• by typing the command !link yourwallet inside the auction-wallet-link channel.

As you can see from the following image, I registered but I'm a realist so I won't even try to buy the Windmill because the purchase price will surely be very high and definitely out of my reach.

But I'm really curious to see what the final selling price will be...

New Buildings Blend

On March 11, 2022, the possibility of blending NFTs of Building type was introduced, while the blending operation of NFTs of Animal type was possible long before.

Currently it is possible to do blending on the following Buildings NFTs: - **Stables** - **Shelters** - **Chicken Coops** - **Vegetable Gardens**

From Common -> to Rare:

• 1 Common Building + 9000 SESTs Voucher = 1 Rare Building.
• 2 Common Buildings + 2000 SESTs Voucher = 1 Rare Building.

From Rare -> to Epic:

• 1 Rare Building + 2X 9000 SESTs Voucher = 1 Epic Building

Change to food and water indicators

A recently introduced change that I really appreciated was the introduction of the number of food and water units next to the food and water indicators. This is a small change but it has a great utility because it allows to understand immediately which harvesting operation should be done in order not to waste units of food or water.

## OneUp Cartel Investment

My gaming/investing activity on Farming Tales is twofold because I play two roles:

• I am a simple player who has decided to invest in the purchase of NFT and tokens
• I am an operator of the Cartel project of the beautiful community called OneUp.

OneUp is a community of Hive's blockchain ocused on NFT games and blockchain games (https://www.1up.zone/).

I have been managing OneUp Cartel's investment in Farming Tales since January 29, 2022 and today March 23, 2022 it has been 53 days.

Total Investment Cost

OneUp Cartel has invested in the Farming Tales project:

• 500 HBD (Jan. 29, 2022).
• 250 WAX (March 2, 2022)

Based on today's values of HBD tokens and WAX tokens invested by OneUp Cartel, the total cost of investment on Farming Tales is $563.16 (previous report: $569.13).

The total amount of WAX tokens I had available to invest to date was 1833 WAX tokens whose current value is $543.76.

## VALUE ASSETS + REWARDS ### CPU In order to perform operations on the WAX blockchain you need to have a minimum of resources (**NET, CPU, RAM**). In the Farming Tales game, **Harvest** operations consume the **CPU** resource (which recharges with time) and for this reason I allocated a total of **51.54** **WAX** tokens to the CPU resource.

To play Farming Tales, you must make an initial investment which consists of purchasing at least one of the following NFT combinations:

To date, I have chosen all of the NFTs I have purchased based on a calculation of the estimated annual ROI, a calculation I made for each combination of NFTs on the market before making each purchase.

Today, March 23, there are a total of 21 NFTs owned by OneUpCartel:

In the following table you can see the list of the cards I've purchased until today with the indication of the purchase price, the tokens I used as payment method, the current market prices on Atomic Hub and the differences between purchase price and current market value for each NFT purchased.

The total value of OneUp Cartel's NFT collection is 1584.70 WAX = $470.10.

The last time I checked the market value of OneUp Cartel's NFT collection was 15 days ago. In 15 days the difference in value (total purchase price - total current market value) has remained negative even though the loss in value is really minimal (-2.24%):

• March 9: -10.25$
• March 23: -10.76$

### Total value of tokens and rewards At the base of the Farming Tales game are two different tokens: - **SEST** tokens - **CBIT** tokens

The SEST tokens are the native tokens of the Farming Tales game and are obtained through the Harvest operation. CBIT tokens are utility tokens needed to perform food and water refill operations. CBIT tokens can be purchased but can also be produced for free through the SEST token stacking operation.

In the following table you can see the total amount and value of SEST tokens and CBIT tokens owned by OneUp Cartel as of today.

The total value of the SEST and CBIT tokens is 224.93 WAX = $66.73.

However, this value does not correspond to the total value of in-game rewards received from harvesting and stacking SEST tokens because on January 30, 2022 I purchased 14970 SEST tokens and spent 195 WAX.

If I subtract from the total amount of stacked SEST tokens the amount of 14970 SEST tokens I get the total value of game rewards received and not reinvested which is 128.38 WAX = 38.08$ (previous report value: 25.68$)

## Profit and ROI

I have collected all the data I need to compare costs and revenues and can then calculate the Profit and ROI related to the OneUp Cartel investment after 53 days.

In order to monitor the financial results of the Farming Tales investment that I manage on behalf of OneUp Cartel I created the prospectus that you can see in the following image.

15 days ago (March 9, 2022) the financial results were slightly negative while today they are back to positive:

• Profit: 52.17 WAX = $15.48
• ROI: + 2.85%.

The results in my prospectus take into account only the investments made using WAX tokens and do not take into account:

• the dollar value of the initial investment
• the variation of the dollar value of WAX tokens and of the 500 HBD tokens initially invested.

If I take into consideration the current dollar value of the 500 HBD tokens of the initial investment and the current value of the WAX tokens I get the final financial results of OneUp Cartel's investment on Farming Tales which are as follows:

• Profit: + 3.19S
• ROI: + 0.57%.

Final Considerations

After 53 days of investment the Profit and Roi obtained are positive even if their values are small. In the coming week I will continue to accumulate game rewards and will watch with interest what will happen on March 27th at the auction of the Windmill building. At that time the SEST tokens that are now worth 0.00645 WAX ($0.0019) may increase in value because they are needed to bid at the auction. If the value will grow considerably I will sell the SEST tokens that I kept liquid and with the earnings I will be able to expand the supply of NFT of OneUp Cartel farm.

Le Novità su Farming Tales e L'Investimento di OneUp Cartel

**Farming Tales** è un simulatore di farming basato su NFT costruito e sviluppato sulla blockchain **WAX**. Ho una naturale preferenza per i giochi costruiti e svippati sulla blockchain di **Hive** perchè Hive è il progetto blockchain a cui tengo di più e nel quale sono più attivo ma quando ho scoperto Farming Tales ho deciso di fare un'eccezione alla regola perchè ho subito visto delle potenzialità in questo gioco, potenzialità che dipendono principalmente da due particolarità che ha Farming Tales e che molti altri giochi di farming basati su blockchain non hanno: - Farming Tales ha una **bella grafica** e utilizza un **motore grafico 3D** - Farming Tales ha alcuni **NFT** che sono **collegati a beni reali di reali fattorie** (zafferano, miele,...).

Un'altro punto a favore di Farming Tales rispetto ad altri giochi di farming è che ha scelto la mia amata Hive per:

# Farming Tales News:

Il team di sviluppo sta lavorando allo sviluppo e al rilascio della New Wanchester che sarà un grande aggiornamento che cambierà le dinamiche di gioco di Farming Tales. Con il rilascio della New Wanchester ci sarà l'introduzione di un nuovo sistema di produzione che permetterà agli NFT del gioco di non produrre più token SEST ma cibo e vegetali che potranno essere venduti o utilizzati per produrre altri elementi di gioco e saranno anche utili per completare le quests che saranno un altro elemento di gioco che sarà introdotto in futuro.

La prima grande e imminente novità riguarda la vendita del primo edificio della nuova Wanchester: il Windmill.

Il Windmill

Come annunciato il 20 marzo nel canale Annuncements del server Discord di Farming Tales, il 27 marzo 2022 ci sarà la vendita del primo edificio della New Wanchester, il WindMill.

Data l'esclusività e l'unicità di questo NFT il meccanismo di vendita sarà quello della vendita all'asta.

La vendita si terrà sul server Discord di Farming Tales e chi vuole partecipare deve avere il ruolo "Auction role" che si ottiene:

Modifica agli indicatori di cibo e acqua

Una modifica introdotta di recente che ho molto apprezzato è stata l'introduzione del numero di unità di acqua e cibo di fianco agli indicatori di cibo e acqua. Questa è una piccola modifica che però ha una grande utilità perchè permette di capire immediatamente quale operazione di harvest conviene effettuare per non sprecare unità di cibo o di acqua.

Costo Totale Investimento

OneUp Cartel ha investito nel progetto Farming Tales:

L'ultima volta che ho controllato il valore di mercato della collezione di NFT di OneUp Cartel era 15 giorni fa. In 15 gionri la differenza di valore (prezzo totale di acquisto - valore di mercato totale attuale) è rimasta negativa anche se la perdita di valore è davvero minima (-2.24%):

• 23 marzo: -10.76$

### Valore totale dei token e delle ricompense Alla base del gioco di Farming Tales ci sono due token diversi: - i token **SEST** - i token **CBIT**

I token SEST sono i token nativi del gioco di Farming Tales e si ottengono tramite l'operazione di Harvest. I token CBIT sono degli utility tokens necessari per effettuare le operazioni di ricarica di cibo e acqua. I token CBIT possono essere acquistati ma possono essere anche prodotti in modo gratuito mediante l'operaione di stacking dei token SEST.

Nella tabella seguente puoi vedere il quantitativo e il valore totale dei token SEST e dei token CBIT di proprietà di OneUp Cartel aggiornato alla data odierna.

Il valore totale dei token SEST e CBIT è di 224.93 WAX = 66.73$.

Questo valore però non corrisponde al valore totale delle ricompense di gioco ricevute dalle operazioni di harvest e dall'attività di stacking dei token SEST perchè il 30 gennaio 2022 ho acquistato 14970 token SEST e ho speso 195 WAX.

Se sottraggo dal totale dei token SEST in stacking il quantitativo di 14970 token SEST ottengo il valore totale delle ricompense di gioco ricevute e non reinvestite che è di 128.38 WAX = 38.08$ (valore report precedente: 25.68$)

## Profit e ROI

Ho raccolto tutti i dati che mi servono per confrontare costi e ricavi e posso quindi calcolare il Profitto e il ROI relativo all'investimento di OneUp Cartel dopo 53 giorni.

Per monitorare i risultati finanziari dell'investimento su Farming Tales che gestisco per conto di OneUp Cartel ho creato il prospetto che puoi vedere nell'immagine seguente.

15 giorni fa (9 marzo 2022) i risultati finanziari erano leggermente negativi mentre oggi sono tornati positivi:

• Profit: 52.17 WAX = 15.48$
• ROI: + 2.85%

I risultati presenti nel mio prospetto tengono conto solo degli investimenti effettuati utilizzando i token WAX e non tengono conto:

• del valore in dollari dell'investimento iniziale
• della variazione del valore in dollari dei token WAX e dei 500 token HBD investiti inizialmente.

Se prendo in considerazione il valore attuale in dollari dei 500 token HBD dell'investimento iniziale e il valore attuale dei token WAX ottengo i risultati finanziari finali dell'investimento di OneUp Cartel su Farming Tales che sono i seguenti:

• Profit: + 3.19S
• ROI: + 0.57%

## Considerazioni Finali Dopo 53 giorni di investimento il Profitto e il Roi ottenuti sono positivi anche se i loro valori sono piccoli. Nella prossima settimana continuerò ad accumulare ricompense di gioco e guarderò con interesse quello che avverrà il 27 marzo in occasione della vendita all'asta dell'edificio Windmill. In quell'occasione i token SEST che oggi valgono 0.00645 WAX (0.0019$) potrebbero subire un aumento di valore perchè necessari per effettuare le offerte di acquisto all'asta. Se il valore crescerà in modo considerevole venderè i token SEST che ho mantenuto liquidi e con il ricavato potrò ampliare la dotazione di NFT della fattoria di OneUp Cartel.
