Farming Tales is an NFT-based farming simulator built and developed on the WAX blockchain. I decided to start playing and investing in Farming Tales because I saw peculiarities in this game that many other blockchain-based farming games don't have:

• Farming Tales has beautiful graphics and uses a 3D graphics engine.
• Farming Tales has some NFT that are linked to real goods from real farms (saffron, honey,...).

Another point in favor of Farming Tales over other farming games is that it chose my beloved Hive to:

• post game-related updates (account: @farmingtales).

• organize contests to incentivize its players to sign up and post content on Hive's blockchain.

In addition, Farming Tales' roadmap also includes a future goal to integrate on Hive blockchain (Q3 - 2022).

After this brief introduction to the Farming Tales game, let's see what's new and updated about Farming Tales (reference period: April 27 - May 4, 2022).

## Farming Tales News All Farming Tales players, myself included, are awaiting the release of **New Waxchester**, the big update that when introduced to the game will change the current game dynamics because it will introduce: - a **new production system** - a **multi-player game mode**. ## Update on the sale of the New Waxchester buildings

While the Farming Tales developers are working on the implementation of New Waxchester in the week just gone, the sixth New Waxchester building, the Tavern, was sold. As for the sale of the previous five NFT building also in this case was chosen the modality of auction and the final purchase price was 1485000 token SEST whose value in current dollars is 1457.88$.

I've collected in one image all the images of the New Waxchester buildings sold to date and below each NFT you can see their purchase prices in SEST, WAX and $.

## Farming Tales Crafting Events The latest feature announced on May 1, 2022 by Farming Tales on their Discord channel was the "**Farming Tales Crafting Events**". Each month there will be two events with different durations: - **Monthly Crafting Event** - **Weekly Crafting Event**.

These two events have the function of encouraging one of the three ways of purchasing Farming Tales NFTs: the Crafting.

In fact, all Farming Tales NFTs can be purchased

• from the Market section of Farming Tales using the SEST tokens (Crafting operation)
• from the Market section of AtomicHub using WAX tokens: https://wax.atomichub.io/market?collection_name=farmingtales&order=desc&sort=created&symbol=WAX

Those who use SEST tokens in the in-game Market Place to purchase NFTs will be able to participate in two leaderboards that will reward the top crafters of each month and the top crafters of each week.

I personally like this initiative because it encourages the use of SEST tokens within the game without going through third party markets.

## Update on the value of WAX, SEST and CBIT tokens

Starting from this my thirteenth report on Farming Tales I decided to add this small section dedicated to the value change of the tokens that are closely related to the game of Farming Tales: WAX, SEST, CBIT.

The tokens WAX are the tokens of the blockchain on which Farming Tales works The SEST tokens are the native Farming Tales game tokens that Farming Tales players receive from each Harvest transaction. CBIT tokens are utility tokens needed to perform food and water refill operations (Silo and Water Tower). CBIT tokens can be purchased but can also be earned for free by stacking SEST tokens inside the Wallet section of the Farming Tales game.

As you can see in the following image from the charts I built with my spreadsheet, over a 7 day period, all three Farming Tales related tokens have decreased in value.

The loss in value of the WAX tokens (-16%) dragged on and produced at least in part the loss in value of the Farming Tales tokens, which experienced a loss in value of -21% (SEST) and -40% (CBIT) in seven days. The token that until now had shown a good stability was the CBIT token while in this week it had a very wide fluctuation in value.

## OneUp Cartel Investment Update

My gaming/investment activity on Farming Tales is double because I play two roles:

• I am a simple player who has decided to invest in the purchase of NFT and tokens
• I am a operator of the Cartel project of the beautiful community called OneUp.

OneUp is a community on the Hive blockchain focused on NFT games and blockchain games.

OneUp Cartel is a project of the OneUp community and is: - a Meta Gaming Guild - a Meta Curation - a Meta Dividend Token

I have been managing OneUp Cartel's investment on Farming Tales since January 29, 2022 and today April 27, 2022 eighty-eight days have passed.

It's time to update and re-evaluate OneUp Cartel's investment by comparing costs and revenues and calculating Profit and ROI after 95 days since the start of the game/investment activity.

## Total Investment Cost

OneUp Cartel invested in the Farming Tales project in two successive phases:

• First phase: 500 HBD (January 29, 2022)
• Second phase: 250 WAX (March 2, 2022)

From the conversion of HBD tokens to WAX tokens I got 1583 WAX tokens which added to the second investment of 250 WAX produced a total of 1833 WAX tokens. 1833 WAX tokens is therefore the total amount of tokens I had available to invest in Farming Tales.

• Purchase of NFT: 1585.59 WAX
• Purchase of WAX Resources (CPU,RAM,NET): 51.54 WAX
• Purchase of 14970 SEST tokens: 195.00 WAX

## VALUE ASSETS + REWARDS

The week's tranding operations and the value of the NFT collection

During the last week I managed to complete some trading operations on NFTs. The possibility to use two tokens (WAX, SEST) to buy cards and especially the possibility to combine the three methods of buying NFTs in the game (Market, Crafting, Blending) allowed me to make a profit from the sale of three legendary cards.

In fact, in the last week I have sold NFTs of legendary type: 3 NFT Goat at the price of 128 WAX each.

Removing the fees, I got a total of 349.44 WAX from the sale.

Next, I calculated the different costs of buying NFT Goats based on the different ways of buying them and in the end I bought 3 NFT Arlequin Goat of Epic type.

Thanks to the choice of the best combination of Market - Blending purchase I bought 3 Arlequin Goat and spent a total of 123.6 WAX.

The difference between a Goat and an Arlequin Goat is in the Harvest time which is more comfortable for the NFT Goat while the production of SEST tokens per unit of time is the same.

Thanks to this operation I have maintained the same SEST token production and at the same time made a profit of +225.84 WAX tokens.

Just before writing this report I decided to also do the blending operation to turn the 3 NFT Arlequing Goat (epic) into Goat (legendary).

To complete this trade I spent a total of 12000 SEST tokens.

After the latest trading and blending on NFTs, OneUp Cartel's collection has changed and today May 4, 2022 consists of 22 NFTs:

• 3 NFT Cow
• 3 NFT Goat
• 1 NFT Silo Raro
• 6 NFT Stable
• 1 NFT Water Tower Raro
• 2 NFT Garden
• 1 Early Adopter Diorama
• 4 Seed Box
• 1 GreenHouse

In the following table you can see the list of NFTs owned by OneUp Cartel with the indication:

• the purchase price
• the method of payment used
• the current market prices on AtomicHub/NeftyBlocks
• the difference between the purchase price and the current market value for each NFT purchased.

Finally and for the first time since I started OneUp Cartel investment management the difference between total purchase cost and total market value is positive although small: +16.26 WAX +1.05%

In the list below you can see the dollar value trend of the NFT collection from March 9, 2022 to today:

• March 9: -10.25$
• March 23: -10.76$
• April 7: -125.92
• April 21: -53.30$
• April 27: -71.47$
• May 4: +1.05$

### Total value of tokens and rewards Today, May 4, 2022, OneUp Cartel has a total of: - **43141** tokens **SEST** in stacked. - **66.1** **CBIT** tokens

The total value of the amount of SEST + CBIT tokens is 138.77 WAX = $29.37.

## Profit and ROI

Contextually to the writing of this my thirteenth report for OneUp Cartel I have collected all the data I need (total costs and total revenues) to be able to calculate the Profit and ROI after 95 days from the beginning of the investment made by OneUp Cartel (January 29, 2022)

In the following image you can see the prospectus that I created with my spreadsheet to have an immediate and synthetic image of the investment on Farming Tales.

The financial results (Profit and ROI) are as follows: Profit: +132.63 WAX = +$28.07 (Profit previous report: -151.82 WAX = -$38.12) ROI: +7.24% (previous report ROI: -8.28%)

## Update on my short term investment plan on Farming Tales

Defining, planning and following a precise strategic plan in a game like Farming Tales is not possible at the moment because the game is in full development phase and above all the investment strategy to be followed is and will be very much influenced by the evaluation of the tokens on which Farming Tales is based, SEST, CBIT WAX, which varies continuously.

In the current scenario where WAX tokens have a very low value I will not make further investments using WAX tokens. In the past WAX tokens have had very sharp fluctuations in value so I will wait for the value to come back around at least $0.30 to invest the 209 WAX that are on the OneUp Cartel wallet.

Although I won't be using the WAX tokens until the valuation gets better again, I will continue over the next few days:

• accumulate rewards through Harvest operations
• selling NFT SeedBoxes produced daily by the NFT Green House in exchange for WAX tokens
• to evaluate possible and potentially profitable trading operations on tokens and NFTs.

## Final Considerations I'm happy to have finally reached the "**green area**" and I'm especially happy to finally have more leeway thanks to the **209** **WAX** tokens available to invest.

OneUp Cartel's investment started with some initial difficulties because a few days after the initial investment (500 HBD) there was a drop in the values of Farming Tales NFTs.

When you see potential in a blockchain based game and you have all the NFTs with a value below the purchase value the only option is to have patience and hold!

Obviously I do not have the ability to predict the future and I could easily be wrong but Farming Tales is a game in which I see potential and being in profit at this time when the tokens WAX, SEST and CBIT have very low average values I consider it a good basis for possible future satisfaction ;)

## Cos'è Farming Tales? ### (Breve Introduzione) **Farming Tales** è un simulatore di farming basato su NFT costruito e sviluppato sulla blockchain **WAX**. Ho deciso di iniziare a giocare e ad investire su Farming Tales perchè ho visto delle particolarità in questo gioco che molti altri giochi di farming basati su blockchain non hanno: - Farming Tales ha una **bella grafica** e utilizza un **motore grafico 3D** - Farming Tales ha alcuni **NFT** che sono **collegati a beni reali di reali fattorie** (zafferano, miele,...).

Un'altro punto a favore di Farming Tales rispetto ad altri giochi di farming è che ha scelto la mia amata Hive per:

## Farming Tales News

Continua l'attesa dei giocatori di per il rilascio della New Waxchester, il grande aggiornamento che quando verrà introdotto nel gioco cambierà le dinamiche di gioco attuali perchè introdurrà:

• un nuovo sistema di produzione
• la modalità di gioco multi-player

## La vendita degli edifici della New Waxchester

Mentre gli sviluppatori di Farming Tales lavorano all'implementazione della New Waxchester nella settimana appena trascorsa è stato venduto il sesto edificio della New Waxchester, la Tavern. Come per la vendita dei precedenti cinque NFT edificio anche in questo caso è stata scelta la modalità di vendita all'asta e il prezzo di acquisto finale è stato di 1485000 token SEST il cui valore in dollari attuale è di 1457.88$.

Ho raccolto in una sola immagine tutti gli edifici della New Waxchester venduti fino ad oggi e sotto ad ogni NFT puoi vedere i relativi prezzi di acquisto in SEST, WAX e $.

## Farming Tales Crafting Events L'ultima novità annunciata il 1 maggio 2022 da Farming Tales sul proprio canale Discord è stato il "**Farming Tales Crafting Events**". Ogni mese di saranno due eventi con durata diversa: - **Monthly Crafting Event** - **Weekly Crafting Event**

Questi due eventi hanno la funzione di incentivare una delle tre modalità di acquisto degli NFT di Farming Tales: il Crafting.

Infatti tutti gli NFT di Farming Tales possono essere acquistati:

Personalmente mi piace questa iniziativa perchè incentiva l'utilizzo dei token SEST all'interno del gioco senza passare per i mercati di terze parti.

## Aggiornamento sul valore dei token WAX, SEST e CBIT

A partire da questo mio tredicesimo report su Farming Tales ho deciso di aggiungere questa piccola sezione dedicata all'andamento del valore dei token che sono strettamente collegati al gioco di Farming Tales: WAX, SEST, CBIT.

I token WAX sono i token della blockchain su cui funziona Farming Tales I token SEST sono i token nativi del gioco di Farming Tales che i giocatori di Farming Tales ricevono da ogni operazione di Harvest. I token CBIT sono degli utility tokens necessari per effettuare le operazioni di ricarica di cibo e acqua (Silo e Water Tower). I token CBIT possono essere acquistati ma possono essere anche guadagnati in modo gratuito mediante l'operaione di stacking dei token SEST all'interno della sezione Wallet del gioco di Farming Tales.

Come puoi vedere nell'immagine seguente dalle tabelle che ho costruito con il mio foglio di calcolo, in un arco temporale di 7 giorni, tutti e tre i token collegati a Farming Tales hanno subito una diminuzione di valore.

La perdita di valore dei token WAX (-16%) ha trascinato e prodotto almeno in parte la perdita del valore dei token di Farming Tales che hanno registrato in sette giorni una perdita di valore di -21% (SEST) e -40% (CBIT). Il token che fino ad ora aveva mostrato una buona stabilità era il token CBIT mentre in questa settimana ha avuto un'oscillazione di valore molto ampia.

La mia attività di gioco/investimento su Farming Tales è duplice perchè svolgo due ruoli:

• sono un semplice giocatore che ha deciso di investire nell'acquisto di NFT e tokens

Gestisco l'investimento di OneUp Cartel su Farming Tales dal 29 gennaio 2022 e oggi 4 maggio 2022 sono passati 95 giorni.

E' arrivato il momento di aggiornare e rivalutare l'investimento di OneUp Cartel confrontando costi e ricavi e calcolando Profit e ROI dopo 95 giorni dall'inizio dell'attività di gioco/investimento.

## Costo Totale Investimento

OneUp Cartel ha investito nel progetto di Farming Tales in due momenti successivi:

• Primo investimento: 500 HBD (29 gennaio 2022)
• Secondo investimento: 250 WAX (2 marzo 2022)

Dalla conversione dei token HBD in token WAX ho ottenuto 1583 token WAX che sommati al secondo investimento di 250 WAX hanno prodotto un totale di 1833 token WAX. 1833 token WAX è quindi il toltale di token che ho avuto a disposizione per investire su Farming Tales.

Il valore della collezione di NFT

Per giocare a Farming Tales ed essere in grado di accumulare le ricompense di gioco (token SEST e token CBIT) è necessario acquistare una delle seguenti combinazioni di NFT:

• Goat + Stable
• Cow + Stable
• Sheep + Stable
• Pig + Stable
• Garden + Seed
• Lumberjack
• Fishing Pier
• Hive
• Greenhouse

Durante l'ultima settimana sono riuscito a completare alcune operazioni di trading sugli NFT. La possibilità di utilizzare due token (WAX, SEST) per acquistare le carte e soprattutto la possibilità di combinare i tre metodi di acquisto degli NFT del gioco (Market, Crafting, Blending) mi ha permesso di realizzare un profitto dalla vendita di tre carte leggendarie.

Nell'ultima settimana infatti ho venduto degli NFT di tipo leggendario: 3 NFT Goat al prezzo di 128 WAX l'uno.

Togliendo le fee, dalla vendita ho ottenuto un totale di 349.44 WAX.

Successivamente ho calcolato i diversi costi in base alle diverse modalità di acquisto e ho acquistato 3 NFT Arlequin Goat di tipo Epico.

Grazie alla scelta della migliore combinazione di acquisto Market - Blending ho acquistato 3 Arlequin Goat ed ho speso un totale di 123.6 WAX.

La differenza tra un Goat e un Arlequin Goat è nel tempo di Harvest che è più confortevole per l'NFT Goat mentre la produzione di token SEST per unità di tempo è la stessa.

Grazie a questa operazione ho mantenuto la stessa produzione di token SEST e allo stesso tempo ho ottenuto un profitto di +225.84 token WAX.

Poco prima di scrivere questo report ho deciso di fare anche l'operazione di blending per trasformare i 3 NFT Arlequing Goat (epic) in Goat (legendary).

Per completare questa operazione ho speso in totale 12000 token SEST.

Dopo le ultime operazioni di trading e di blending sugli NFT, la collezione di OneUp Cartel è cambiata e oggi 4 maggio 2022 è costituita da 22 NFT:

• 3 NFT Cow
• 3 NFT Goat
• 1 NFT Silo Raro

Oggi 4 maggio 2022, OneUp Cartel ha un totale di:

Il valore totale del quantitativo di token SEST + CBIT è di 138.77 WAX = 29.37$

## Profit e ROI

Contestualemente alla scrittura di questo mio tredicesimo report per OneUp Cartel ho raccolto tutti i dati che mi servono (totale costi e totale ricavi) per poter calcolare il Profitto e il ROI dopo 95 giorni dall'inizio dell'investimento effettuato da OneUp Cartel (29 gennaio 2022)

Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere il prospetto che ho creato con il mio foglio di calcolo per avere un immagine immediata e sintetica dell'investimento su Farming Tales.

I risultati finanziari (Profit e ROI) sono i seguenti: Profit: +132.63 WAX = +28.07$ (Profit report precedente: -151.82 WAX = -38.12$) ROI: +7.24% (ROI report precedente: -8.28%)

## Il mio piano di investimento su Farming Tales

Definire, pianificare e seguire un piano strategico ben preciso in un gioco come Farming Tales non è possibile al momento perchè il gioco è in piena fase di sviluppo e soprattutto la strategia da seguire dipende molto dalla valutazione dei token su cui si basa Farming Tales, SEST, CBIT WAX, che varia in continuazione.

Nel contesto attuale in cui i token WAX hanno un valore molto basso non farò ulteriori investimenti utilizzando i token WAX. In passato i token WAX hanno avuto oscillazioni di valore molto marcate e quindi aspetterò che il valore torni intorno almeno a 0.30$ per investire i 209 WAX che sono sul wallet di OneUp Cartel.

Anche se non utilizzerò i token WAX fin quando la valutazione tornerà migliore, nei prossimi giorni continuerò:

• ad accumulare ricompense tramite le operazioni di Harvest
• a vendere gli NFT SeedBox prodotti giornalmente dall'NFT Green House in cambio di token WAX
• a valutare possibili e potenzialmente profittevoli operazioni di trading su token ed NFT.

## Considerazioni Finali Sono contento di aver raggiunto finalmente la "**green area**" e sono soprattutto contento di avere finalmente un margine di manovra più ampio grazie ai **209** token **WAX** disponibili da investire.

L'investimento di OneUp Cartel era partito in salita perchè pochi giorni dopo l'inizio c'è stato un crollo dei valori degli NFT di Farming Tales.

Quando vedi del potenziale in un gioco basato su blockchain e hai tutti gli NFT con un valore inferiore a quello di acquisto l'unica opzione possibile è avere pazienza e Holdare!

Ovviamente non ho la capacità di prevedere il futuro e potrei tranquillamente sbagliarmi ma Farming Tales è un gioco in cui vedo del potenziale ed essere in profitto in questo momento in cui i token WAX, SEST e CBIT hanno valori mediamente molto bassi lo considero un buon presupposto per possibili soddisfazioni future ;)
