Farming Tales News, OneUp Cartel Investment Plan and Financial Report #12
Farming Tales is an NFT-based farming simulator built and developed on the WAX blockchain. I decided to start playing and investing in Farming Tales because I saw peculiarities in this game that many other blockchain-based farming games don't have:
- Farming Tales has beautiful graphics and uses a 3D graphics engine.
- Farming Tales has some NFT that are linked to real goods from real farms (saffron, honey,...).
Another point in favor of Farming Tales over other farming games is that it chose my beloved Hive to:
- post game-related updates (account: @farmingtales).
- create a community: https://peakd.com/c/hive-151527/created
- organize contests to incentivize its players to sign up and post content on Hive's blockchain.
Moreover, as written in the Whitepaper, Farming Tales also has among its future goals to integrate on the Hive blockchain (Q3 - 2022).
After this brief introduction to the Farming Tales game I'll show you the latest news and updates regarding Farming Tales (reference period April 8 - April 21, 2022).
The Farming Tales development team continues to work on the implementation and release of New Waxchester, the major update that when released will change the dynamics of the game because it will introduce:
- a new production system
- a multi-player game mode.
While the development team is hard at work the sale of the New Waxchester buildings continues. In the last week the fifth building, the Laboratory, was sold at a final auction price of 1610000 SEST tokens whose current dollar value is $1580.60.
A total of 5 buildings have been sold to date and in the image below you can see the purchase prices in SEST tokens and the current value in dollars and WAX.
At the time of this writing, the sale of NewWaxchester's sixth building-type NFT, the Tavern NFT, is underway. The sale is ongoing on the auctions channel of the Farming Tales discord server, the best bid is currently 690000 SEST tokens and you will be able to participate in the auction until April 29 at 18:39 UTC.
The sale of the first Farming Tales Pets: Sold Out!
The NFT Dog has the following production and consumption statistics:
- Reward: 1300 SESTs.
- Harvest Consumption: 45 WATER.
- Production time: 7 days.
After the sale of NFT DOGs in the Farming Tales game a kennel was added (following image).
In both my farm and OneUp Cartel's farm there is an empty doghouse because I preferred to keep the SEST tokens stacked to earn CBIT tokens daily but in the future I might consider buying a NFT Dog if the market prices will be advantageous.
My gaming/investment activity on Farming Tales is double because I play two roles:
- I am a simple player who has decided to invest in the purchase of NFT and tokens
- I am a operator of the Cartel project of the beautiful community called OneUp.
OneUp is a community on the Hive blockchain focused on NFT games and blockchain games.
OneUp Cartel is a project of the OneUp community and is: - a Meta Gaming Guild - a Meta Curation - a Meta Dividend Token
I have been managing OneUp Cartel's investment on Farming Tales since January 29, 2022 and today April 27, 2022 eighty-eight days have passed.
It's time to update and re-evaluate OneUp Cartel's investment by comparing costs and revenues and calculating Profit and ROI after 88 days since the start of the game/investment activity.
OneUp Cartel invested in the Farming Tales project at two successive times:
- First investment: 500 HBD (January 29, 2022).
- Second investment: 250 WAX (March 2, 2022).
From the conversion of HBD tokens to WAX tokens I got 1583 WAX tokens which added to the second investment of 250 WAX produced a total of 1833 WAX tokens to invest on Farming Tales.
I used the 1833 WAX tokens in the following manner:
- Purchase of NFT: 1585.59 WAX
- Purchase of WAX Resources (CPU,RAM,NET): 51.54 WAX
- Purchase of 14970 SEST tokens: 195.00 WAX
- Cost of trading on Alcor Exchange: 0.87 WAX
The value of the NFT collection
In order to play Farming Tales, you must purchase at least one NFT or a combination of two NFTs and then you must make an initial investment:
- Hen + Coop
- Goose + Shelter
- Goat + Stable
- Cow + Stable
- Sheep + Stable
- Pig + Stable
- Garden + Seed
- Lumberjack
- Fishing Pier
- Hive
- Greenhouse
- Dog
All Farming Tales NFTs can be purchased:

I used 87% of the WAX tokens I had available from OneUp Cartel to purchase NFTs for the game.
Today, April 27, 2022, OneUpCartel owns a total of 25 NFTs:
- 3 NFT Cow
- 3 NFT Goat
- 1 NFT Silo Raro
- 6 NFT Stable
- 1 NFT Water Tower Raro
- 2 NFT Garden
- 1 Early Adopter Diorama
- 5 Seed Box
- 1 GreenHouse
- 1 Pepper Seeds
- 1 Corn Seeds
In the following table you can see the list of NFTs owned by OneUp Cartel with the indication:
- the purchase price
- the method of payment used
- the current market prices on AtomicHub/NeftyBlocks
- the difference between the purchase price and the current market value for each NFT purchased.
Since my last report (April 21, 2022) the value of the NFT collection has decreased. The total value of the card collection is 1463.52 WAX = 367.47$ (previous report: 1552.51 WAX = 422.94$).
Over 6 days the difference in value (total purchase price - total current market value) has remained negative with an overall loss in value of -16.28%:
- March 9: -10.25$
- March 23: -10.76$
- April 7: -125.92$
- April 21: -53.30$
- April 27: -71.47$
The SEST tokens are the Farming Tales game's native tokens that Farming Tales players receive from each Harvest operation. CBIT tokens are utility tokens needed to perform food and water refill operations (Silo and Water Tower). CBIT tokens can be purchased but can also be earned for free through the stacking operation of SEST tokens.
OneUp Cartel has a total of:
- 39585.16 stacked SEST tokens.
- 92.1588 CBIT tokens
The total value of the amount of SEST + CBIT tokens is 166.12 WAX = $41.71.
Also this week and as in my previous reports I have collected all the data I need (total costs and total revenues) to calculate the Profit and ROI of the investment made by OneUp Cartel on Farming Tales after a period of 88 days.
In the following image you can see the table that I created with my spreadsheet to have an immediate and synthetic image of the performance of the investment.
The financial results (Profit and ROI) are as follows: Profit: -151.82 WAX = -38.12$ (Previous Profit report: -25.69 WAX = -7$) ROI: -8.28% (previous report ROI: -1.40%)
Defining, planning and following a precise strategic plan in a game like Farming Tales is not possible at the moment because the game is in full development phase and above all the investment strategy to be followed is and will be very much influenced by the evaluation of the tokens on which Farming Tales is based: SEST, CBIT and WAX.
In the last 6 days the dollar value of all three tokens has decreased (see image below).
The WAX tokens lost 8% of their value, the SEST tokens lost 32% while the CBIT tokens lost 12%.
In this context, for example, I chose to follow the following strategy: I put some NFTs up for sale at the lowest price on the AtomicHuvb/NeftyBlocks marketplace.
For example, if I sell a Goat NFT for 128 WAX I will receive 116.48 WAX (128 - fee). With 116.48 WAX I could
- buy an Arlequin Goat for 45 WAX
- spend 4000 SEST tokens (= 15.64 WAX) to do the Blending operation and transform the Arlequin Goat into a Legendary Goat.
If my operation is successful I will have sold and re-obtained an NFT Goat but I will also have made a nice profit (+55.84 WAX) ;)
Leaving aside trading on the sale and repurchase of NFTs my my basic strategy for the next few months will be as follows:
- I will continue to accumulate the SEST tokens.
- put all SEST tokens in stacking to get CBIT tokens every day
- when I will have reached an amount of gain of 10 CBIT per day I will sell the excess CBIT tokens daily and use the proceeds to buy more NFT in order to be able to expand the production of my farm.
This result, however, should be contextualized to the timing of the investment and the current values of SEST and CBIT tokens. When I started investing (January 29, 2022) the value of Farming Tales NFTs was on average higher than the current value.
For example, the first NFT I purchased was a Stable (January 30, 2022).
Ten days later the average value of Farming Tales NFTs dropped 50% or more. If I had started investing 10 days later I would have a much better ROI than I have today and above all I would already be in profit.
Why this consideration?
Simply to show the importance of the timing of an investment but above all to show that despite the sharp decline in the value of NFT after the start of the investment and despite the fact that the investment by OneUp Cartel started uphill, the green zone is close.
Farming Tales is a "young" game because it has less than 7 months of life but the development continues at twice the speed of many other farming games and this is an element that I consider very important.
The financial results that I have recorded in this report, although negative, do not worry me because I consider them temporary, obviously I do not have the ability to predict the future, but I am convinced that Farming Tales will give me and OneUp Cartel some satisfaction in the future.

Le Novità su Farming Tales e L'Investimento di OneUp Cartel: Report N.12
Un'altro punto a favore di Farming Tales rispetto ad altri giochi di farming è che ha scelto la mia amata Hive per:
- pubblicare aggiornamenti relativi al gioco (account: @farmingtales).

- organizzare dei contest per incentivare i suoi giocatori ad iscriversi e a pubblicare contenuti sulla blockchain di Hive.
Inoltre il team di sviluppo di Farming Tales ha tra i suoi obiettivi futuri anche quello di integrarsi sulla blockchain di Hive (Q3 - 2022).
Dopo questa breve introduzione al gioco di Farming Tales vediamo subito insieme le novità e gli aggiornamenti relativi a Farming Tales (periodo di riferimento 21 aprile - 27 aprile 2022).
Il team di sviluppo di Farming Tales continua a lavorare all'implementazione e al rilascio della New Waxchester, il grande aggiornamento che quando verrà rilasciato cambierà le dinamiche di gioco perchè introdurrà:
- un nuovo sistema di produzione
- la modalità di gioco multi-player
Mentre il team di sviluppo è al lavoro continua la vendita degli edifici della nuova Waxchester. Nell'ultima settimana è stato venduto il quinto edificio, il Laboratory, ad un prezzo di asta finale di 1610000 token SEST il cui attuale valore in dollari attuale è di 1580.60$.
Fino ad oggi sono stati venduti 5 edifici in totale e nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere i prezzi di acquisto in token SEST e il valore attuale in dollari e WAX.
Nel momento in cui sto scrivendo è in corso la vendita del sesto NFT di tipo edificio della NewWaxchester, l'NFT Tavern. La vendita è in corso sul canale auctions del server discord di Farming Tales, la migliore offerta di acquisto è al momento di 690000 token SEST e sarà possibile partecipare alla vendita all'asta fino al 29 aprile alle ore 18:39 UTC.
L'NFT Dog ha le seguenti statistiche di produzione e consumo:
- Reward: 1300 SESTs
- Harvest Consumption: 45 WATER.
- Production time: 7 days
Dopo la vendita degli NFT DOG nel gioco di Farming Tales è stata aggiunta una cuccia (immagine seguente).
Sia nella mia fattoria che nella fattoria di OneUp Cartel c'è una cuccia vuota perchè ho preferito tenere i token SEST in stacking per guadagnare token CBIT giornalmente ma nel futuro potrei valutare di acquistare un NFT Dog se i prezzi di mercato saranno vantaggiosi.
La mia attività di gioco/investimento su Farming Tales è duplice perchè svolgo due ruoli:
- sono un semplice giocatore che ha deciso di investire nell'acquisto di NFT e tokens
- sono un operatore del progetto Cartel della bellissima comunità che si chiama OneUp.
OneUp è una comunità della blockchain di Hive focalizzata sugli NFT games e sui blockchain games.
OneUp Cartel è un progetto della comunità di OneUp ed è: - una Meta Gaming Guild - una Meta Curation - un Meta Dividend Token
Gestisco l'investimento di OneUp Cartel su Farming Tales dal 29 gennaio 2022 e oggi 27 aprile 2022 sono passati 88 giorni.
E' arrivato il momento di aggiornare e rivalutare l'investimento di OneUp Cartel confrontando costi e ricavi e calcolando Profit e ROI dopo 88 giorni dall'inizio dell'attività di gioco/investimento.
OneUp Cartel ha investito nel progetto di Farming Tales in due momenti successivi:
- Primo investimento: 500 HBD (29 gennaio 2022)
- Secondo investimento: 250 WAX (2 marzo 2022)
Dalla conversione dei token HBD in token WAX ho ottenuto 1583 token WAX che sommati al secondo investimento di 250 WAX hanno prodotto un totale di 1833 token WAX da investire su Farming Tales.
Ho utilizzato i 1833 token WAX nel seguente modo:
- Acquisto di NFT: 1585.59 WAX
- Acquisto di Risorse WAX (CPU): 51.54 WAX
- Acquisto di 14970 token SEST: 195.00 WAX

Dal mio ultimo report (21 aprile 2022) il valore della collezione di NFT è diminuito. Il valore totale della collezione di carte è di 1463.52 WAX = 367.47$ (report precedente: 1552.51 WAX = 422.94$).
In 6 giorni la differenza di valore (prezzo totale di acquisto - valore di mercato totale attuale) è rimasta negativa con una perdita di valore complessiva del -16.28%:
- 9 marzo: -10.25$
- 23 marzo: -10.76$
- 7 aprile: -125.92$
- 21 aprile: -53.30$
- 27 aprile: -71.47$
I token SEST sono i token nativi del gioco di Farming Tales che i giocatori di Farming Tales ricevono da ogni operazione di Harvest. I token CBIT sono degli utility tokens necessari per effettuare le operazioni di ricarica di cibo e acqua (Silo e Water Tower). I token CBIT possono essere acquistati ma possono essere anche guadagnati in modo gratuito mediante l'operaione di stacking dei token SEST.
OneUp Cartel ha un totale di:
- 39585.16 token SEST in stacked
- 92.1588 token CBIT
Il valore totale del quantitativo di token SEST + CBIT è di 166.12 WAX = 41.71$
Anche questa settimana e come nei miei precedenti report ho raccolto tutti i dati che mi servono (totale costi e totale ricavi) per poter calcolare il Profitto e il ROI dell'investimento effettuato da OneUp Cartel su Farming Tales dopo che è trascorso un periodo di 88 giorni.
Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere il prospetto che ho creato con il mio foglio di calcolo per avere un immagine immediata e sintetica dell'investimento.
I risultati finanziari (Profit e ROI) sono i seguenti: Profit: -151.82 WAX = -38.12$ (Profit report precedente: -25.69 WAX = -7$) ROI: -8.28% (ROI report precedente: -1.40%)
Definire, pianificare e seguire un piano strategico ben preciso in un gioco come Farming Tales non è possibile al momento perchè il gioco è in piena fase di sviluppo e soprattutto la strategia da seguire dipende molto dalla valutazione dei token su cui si basa Farming Tales: SEST, CBIT e WAX.
Negli ultimi 6 giorni il valore in dollari di tutti e tre i token è diminuito (vedi immagine seguente).
I token WAX hanno perso l'8% del loro valore, i token SEST hanno perso il 32% mentre i token CBIT il 12%.
In questo contesto ho pensato di mettere in vendita alcuni NFT al prezzo più basso sul mercato di AtomicHuvb/NeftyBlocks.
Se ad esempio riuscirò a vendere un NFT Goat al prezzo di 128 WAX riceverò 116.48 WAX (128 - fee). Con 116.48 WAX potrei:
- acquistare un Arlequin Goat spendendo 45 WAX
- spendere 4000 token SEST (= 15.64 WAX) per fare l'operazione di Blending e trasformare l'Arlequin Goat in un Goat Leggendario.
Se la mia operazione andrà a buon fine avrò venduto e riottenuto un NFT Goat ma avrò anche fatto un bel profitto (+55.84 WAX) ;)
Tralasciando le operazioni di trading sulla vendita e riacquisto degli NFT la mia strategia di base per i prossimi mesi sarà la seguente:
- continuerò ad accumulare i token SEST
- metterò tutti i token SEST in stacking per ottenere token CBIT ogni giorno
- quando avrò raggiunto un quantitativo di guadagno di 10 CBIT al giorno venderò giornalmente i token CBIT eccedenti e utilizzerò i ricavi per acquistare altri NFT in modo da riuscire ad ampliare la produzione della mia fattoria.
Questo risultato però va contestualizzato al timing dell'investimento e ai valori attuali dei token SEST e CBIT. Quando ho iniziato ad investire (29 gennaio 2022) il valore degli NFT di Farming Tales era mediamente più alto del valore attuale.
Ad esempio il primo NFT che ho acquistato è stato uno Stable (30 gennaio 2022).
Dieci giorni dopo il valore medio degli NFT di Farming Tales è sceso del 50% e più. Se avessi iniziato ad investire 10 giorni dopo adesso avrei un ROI decisamente migliore di quello che ho registrato oggi e soprattutto sarei già in profitto.
Perchè questa considerazione?
Semplicemente per mostrare l'importanza del timing di un investimento ma soprattutto per mostrare che nonostante la forte diminuzione dei valori degli NFT e nonostante il fatto che l'investimento da parte di OneUp Cartel sia iniziato in salita la green area è vicina.
Farming Tales è un gioco "giovane" perchè ha meno di 7 mesi di vita ma lo sviluppo continua ad una velocità doppia rispetto a molti altri giochi di farming e questo è un elemento che io considero molto importante.
I risultati finanziari che ho registrato in questo report, anche se negativi, non mi preoccupano perchè li considero temporanei, ovviamente non ho la capacità di prevedere il futuro, ma sono convinto che Farming Tales mi darà soddisfazioni in futuro.
