Hello Hivers and Splinterlands players, On 15 April 2021 another season of Splinterlands came to an end. For me it wasn't just another season, because after many months I finally reached my season goal: to return to the Splinterlands Champion League!

Before the introduction of the power score requirement and before the introduction of the league rankings I could get into the Champion II or the Champion I league with a certain ease and above all easily. After that I was no longer able to get into the top leagues and often stopped at the Diamond I league. This season I had set myself a goal that was not easy to achieve in view of the time available: just one day. On the last day of the season I was in the Gold I league and had a rating of 2819 points and a power score of 211430 points.

Two days ago I published a post in which I showed my end-of-season strategy and set my end-of-season goal: the Champion III league.

Starting from Gold League I and getting to Champion League III on the last available day before the end of the season seemed like an almost impossible mission, but I still wanted to try.

Unlike previous seasons of Splinterlands I changed my strategy because I decided to rent more cards. My strategy worked and what I thought was a mission impossible turned out to be a mission possible: not only did I reach my goal but I exceeded it.

As you can see from the following picture, I finished the season in the Champion II league.

I rented a total of 30 cards:

After the conclusion of the Splinterlands season I have terminated all rental contracts with an expiry date of more than one day.

Renting the 30 cards I listed above has allowed me to increase my power score by over 300000 points. I went from an initial score of 221430 power points to a final score of 508348 power points.

For the card rental I spent a total of $0.79.

I finished the season in place number 148 in the Champion leaderboard.

My winrate was 57.19% and has decreased compared to the season before and after.

Now I'll show you the end-of-season reward I received.

In the previous season I was in the Diamond I league and opened 60 chests. This time I received and opened 120 chests.

In the following picture you can see the cards I found in the chests.

I found 41 cards out of 120 chests. The chests can contain three types of prizes: Cards, DECs, Potions. The probability of finding a card in each chest is 1/3, so I found one more card than the average probability.

I found 32 common cards, 5 rare cards, 2 epic cards and 2 golden cards. The most valuable card I found is Onyx Sentinel - Gold version which has a market value of $16.50 and a DEC conversion value of 10000.

The total value of the cards I found inside the chests is 20,529 $.

I also found 39 Potions and a total of 1593 DEC tokens.

Today 17 April 2021, 1593 DEC are equivalent to the value of 2.58 HIVE (Highest BID on LeoDex/HiveEngine)

As you can see from the calculations in the image below, the dollar value of 1593 DEC tokens is $1.51.

*** # Untamed Packs *** I also found 2 packs of Untamed cards. I chose to open them right away and found the cards you can see in the following image.

The total value of the cards is 0.96$ (using market prices).

Conclusion

Now I do some calculations to determine the total value of the seasonal reward:

• total card rental cost: 0,79 $
• total value of cards found in chests: 20,529 $.
• total value of DEC tokens found in the chests: 1,51 $
• total value of cards found in the two packs of Untamed cards: 0,96 $.

The total reward was - $0.79 + $20.529 + $1.51 + $0.96 = $22.209.

Finally a very good reward, I am very satisfied with both the game results (Champion II league) and the total value of the reward received. In the season that has just started I will try to repeat myself and try to get to at least the Champion III league and maybe even increase the number of cards to rent.

Finalmente Champion: Da Gold a Champion nell'ultimo giorno della stagione

Ciao Hivers e giocatori di Splinterlands, il 15 aprile 2021 si è conclusa un'altra stagione di Splinterlands. Per me non è stata una stagione come le altre perchè finalmente dopo tanti mesi ho raggiunto il mio obbiettivo stagionale: ritornare nella lega Champion di Splinterlands!

Prima dell'introduzione del requisito del punteggio Power e prima dell'introduzione delle classifiche di lega arrivo nella lega Champion II o nella lega Champion I con una certa tranquillità e soprattutto facilità. Dopo non sono più riuscito a rientrare nelle leghe massime e mi sono fermato spesso alla lega Diamond I. In questa stagione mi ero posto un obbiettivo non facile da raggiungere considerato anche il tempo a disposizione. L'ultimo giorno della stagione ero in lega Gold I e avevo un punteggio di rating di 2819 punti e un punteggio power di 211430 punti.

Due giorni fa ho pubblicato un post in cui ho mostrato la mia strategia di fine stagione e ho fissato il mio obbiettivo di fine stagione: la lega Champion III.

Partire dalla lega Gold I e arrivare in lega Champion III nell'ultimo giorno disponibile prima della fine della stagione mi sembrava una missione quasi impossibile ma volevo comunque provarci.

A differenza delle precedenti stagioni di Splinterlands ho cambiato strategia perchè ho deciso di noleggiare un numero maggiore di carte. La mia strategia ha funzionato e quella che io credevo una missione impossibile si è rivelata una missione possibile: non solo ho raggiunto il mio obbiettivo ma l'ho anche superato.

Dopo la conclusione della stagione di Splinterlands ho interrotto tutti i contratti di noleggio con scadenza superiore ad un giorno.

Il noleggio delle 30 carte che ho elencato prima mi ha permesso di incrementare il mio punteggio power di oltre 300000 punti. Sono passato dal punteggio iniziale di 221430 punti power al punteggio finale di 508348 punti power.

Per il noleggio delle carte ho speso in totale 0.79$.

Ho concluso la stagione al posto numero 148 della classifica Champion.

Il mio winrate è stato del 57,19% ed è diminuito rispetto alla stagione precedente a quella appena conclusa.

Nella precedente stagione ero arrivato in lega Diamond I e avevo aperto 60 forzieri. Questa volta ho ricevuto e aperto 120 forzieri.

Ho trovato 41 carte su 120 forzieri. I forzieri possono contenere tre tipologie di premi: Carte, DEC, Pozioni. La probabilità di trovare una carta in ogni forziere è di 1/3 e quindi ho trovato una carta in più rispetto alla probabilità media.

Ho trovato 32 carte comuni, 5 carte rare, 2 carta epiche e 2 carte dorate. La carta di maggior valore che ho trovato è Onyx Sentinel - Gold version che ha un valore sul mercato di 16,50 $ e un valore di conversione in DEC di 10000.

Il valore totale delle carte che ho trovato all'interno dei forzieri è di 20.529 $

Il valore totale delle carte è di 0,96$ (usando i prezzi di mercato).

Conclusione

Adesso faccio un po di calcoli per determinare il valore totale della ricompensa stagionale:

• costo totale noleggio carte: 0,79 $
• valore totale delle carte trovate nei forzieri: 20,529 $
• valore totale dei token DEC trovati nei forzieri: 1,51 $
• valore totale delle carte trovate nei due pacchi di carte Untamed: 0,96 $

Il profitto totale è stato di - 0,79 $ + 20,529 $ + 1,51 $ + 0,96 = 22,209 $.

Finalmente un'ottima ricompensa, sono molto soddisfatto sia dei risultati di gioco (lega Champion II) che del valore totale della ricompensa ricevuta. Nella stagione appena iniziata cercherò di ripetermi e proverò ad arrivare almeno in lega Champion III e forse aumenterò ancora il numero di carte da prendere a noleggio.
