Today is 2 June and it is not a day like any other for Italy and for Italians like me. 2 June is Republic Day, it is a festive day and both schools and offices are closed. On 2 and 3 June 1946 an instututional referendum was held in which Italians chose to make their country a Republic and abandon the Monarchy. As well as being a day of national celebration, today was also a beautiful day from a climatic point of view with lots of sunshine and no clouds to darken the sky.

In the morning I went to the park near my house with my daughter and took some photos with my smartphone.

I really like flowers, the colourful jewels that nature gives to all living creatures, and I wanted to dedicate this post to the flowers that I admired this morning and took some photos of.

The following photo shows the flowers of an articulated sorrel. I did not know the name of this plant and I used the PlantNet application that I have installed on my smartphone to identify it and it gave me this name.

When I see a beautiful flower, I can't resist the temptation to take a photo of it. And you like flowers?

Oggi è il 2 giungo e non è un giorno come gli altri per l'Italia e per gli italiani come me. Il 2 giugno è la festa della Repubblica, è un giorno di festa e sia le scuole che gli uffici sono chiusi. Il 2 e 3 giugno del 1946 si è tenuto un referendum istutuzionale in cui gli italiani hanno scelto di far diventare il loro paese una Repubblica e abbandonare la Monarchia. Oltre ad essere una giornata di festa nazionale oggi è stata anche una bellissima giornata dal punto di vista climatico con tanto sole e nessuna nuvola ad oscurare il cielo.

In mattinata sono stato nel parco vicino casa mia insieme a mia figlia e ho scattato alcune foto con il mio smartphone.

Mi piacciono molto i fiori, veri e propri gioielli colorati che la natura regala a tutti gli esseri viventi e volevo dedicare questo mio post proprio ai fiori che ho ammirato questa mattina e a cui ho scattato alcune foto.

Nella foto seguente ci sono i fiori di una acetosella articolata. Non conoscevo il nome di questa pianta e ho utilizzato per l'identificazione della pianta l'applicazione PlantNet che ho installato sul mio smartphone che mi ha restituito questo nome.

Quando vedo un bel fiore non posso resistere alla tentazione di fotografarlo. E a te piacciono i fiori?
