Optimization of my Card Collection:
GLORIDAX MAGUS - level 3
Hello Hivers and Splinterlands players, with this post I return to write about my favourite blockchain-based game and continue to share my choices for optimising my card collection.
Two days ago I bought the level 6 summoner card Daria Dragonscale. Today I decided to buy a legendary card that can be useful in battle and has one of my favourite abilities: the Blast ability.
The card I decided to buy is the level 3 Gloridax Magus card.
Gloridax Magus is a card that is part of the Untamed collection and is available in two versions: Regular and Gold.
It is a Legendary card and is a card of the element Dragon.
Gloridax Magus of level 3 has the following stats:
- It has a mana cost of 6 points.
- It has 2 magic attack points
- Has 6 life points and has no armor points.
- Has a low speed (2)
- It has three abilities: Blast,Knock Out and Shatter.
Among the legendary cards available for purchase on the Splinterlands market, Gloridax Magus is the cheapest card: $1.75 (BCX price=1).
There are cards that are much stronger and more useful in battle than Gloridax Magus but also have a much higher price.
For the purchase I used the credits I had in my in-game wallet from Splinterlands.
I already had 2 Gloridax Magus cards in my collection and to get Gloridax Magus level 3 I needed to buy 4 more cards. In fact, level 3 Gloridax Magus is the result of combining 6 level 1 cards.
So I bought 4 Gloridax Magus level 1 cards from the player @monsterveritas.
As you can see from the following image I spent a total of 7012 Credits which is the equivalent of $7,012.
First reason
I consider Gloridax Magus to be an underrated card in terms of its current price. There are cards that have less useful battle abilities and worse battle stats that cost much more. Also, Gloridax Magus is part of the Untamed collection and Untamed card packs are running out and I think its price might go up in the future.
Second reason
Gloridax Magus is a useful card in battle. The Blast ability is especially useful when the battle rule is one between Target Practice and Opportunity because if the card hit by Gloridax Magus is between two cards, the total enemy cards hit become three.
The Knock Out ability is especially useful if you have cards with the Stun ability lined up with Gloridax Magus. A card in a "Stunned" state will suffer a double attack from Gloridax Magus.
The Shatter ability allows Gloridax Magus to remove the armor points of the enemy card it attacked.
Third reason
The level 1 Gloridax Magus card isn't very useful in battle because of its one-unit magic attack. The two tier 1 cards I had in my collection I would never use in battle because I have much better cards. Gloridax Magus level 3 is useful and in fact in the past I rented it often during the last days of the Splinterlands season. Having already two level 1 cards in my collection I preferred to buy 4 more cards and get a level 3 Gloridax Magus card instead of selling my two cards that as I wrote before could be worth more in the future.
Conclusion
I am happy with my purchase also because I spent 7$ but I got the following benefits:
- I have added to my collection a card useful in battle when there are particular battle rules and so I have an additional option to choose from.
- I increased my power score by 4000 points for only 7$.
- I have one less card to rent the last two days before the end of the season. In fact Gloridax Magus level 3 is one of the cards I have often rented in the past.

Ciao Hivers e giocatori di Splinterlands, con questo post ritorno a parlare del mio gioco basato su blockchain preferito e continuo a condividere le mie scelte per ottimizzare la mia collezione di carte.
Due giorni fa ho comprato la carta evocatore Daria Dragonscale di livello 6. Oggi ho deciso di comprare una carta leggendaria che può essere utile in battaglia e che ha una delle mie abilità preferite: l'abilità Blast.
La carta che ho deciso di comprare è la carta Gloridax Magus di livello 3.
Gloridax Magus è una carta che fa parte della collezione Untamed ed è disponibile in due versioni: Regular e Gold.
E' una carta Leggendaria ed è una carta dell'elemento Dragone.
Gloridax Magus di livello 3 ha le seguenti statistiche:
- Ha un costo in mana di 6 punti
- Ha 2 punti di attacco magico
- Ha 6 punti vita e non ha punti armatura.
- Ha una velocità bassa (2)
- Ha tre abilità: Blast,Knock Out e Shatter.
Tra le carte leggendarie disponibili all'acquisto sul mercato di Splinterlands, Gloridax Magus è la carta che costa di meno: 1.75$ (prezzo BCX=1).
Ci sono carte che sono molto più forti e utili in battaglia rispetto a Gloridax Magus ma hanno abche un prezzo decisamente più alto.
Per l'acquisto ho utilizzato i Crediti che avevo sul mio wallet interno al gioco di Splinterlands.
Avevo già 2 carte Gloridax Magus nella mia collezione e per avere Gloridax Magus di livello 3 avevo bisogno di acquistare altre 4 carte. Infatti Gloridax Magus di livello 3 è il risultato di 6 carte di livello 1.
Così ho comprato 4 carte Gloridax Magus di livello 1 dal giocatore @monsterveritas.
Come puoi vedere dall'immagine seguente ho speso in totale 7012 Crediti che sono l'equivalente di 7.012$.
Primo motivo
Considero Gloridax Magus una carta sottovalutata per quanto riguarda il prezzo attuale. Ci sono carte che hanno abilità meno utili in battaglia e statistiche di battaglia peggiori che costano molto di più. Inoltre Gloridax Magus fa parte della collezione Untamed e i pacchi di carte Untamed stanno per finire e credo che il suo prezzo potrebbe salire in futuro.
Secondo motivo
Gloridax Magus è una carta utile in battaglia. L'abilità Blast è particolarmente utile quando la regola di battaglia è una tra Target Practice e Opportunity perchè se la carta colpita da Gloridax Magus si trova posizionata tra due carte, le carte nemiche colpite in totale diventano tre.
L'abilità Knock Out invece è particolarmente utile se insieme a Gloridax Magus si schierano carte con l'abilità Stun. Una carta in stato di "Stunned" subirà un attacco doppio da parte di Gloridax Magus.
L'abilità Shatter permette a Gloridax Magus di eliminare i punti armatura della carta nemica che ha attaccato.
Terzo motivo
La carta Gloridax Magus di livello 1 non è molto utile in battaglia a causa del suo attacco magico di una sola unità. Le due carte di livello 1 che avevo nella mia collezione non le avrei mai utilizzate in battaglia perchè ho carte decisamente migliori. Gloridax Magus di livello 3 invece è utile e infatti in passato l'ho noleggiata spesso durante gli ultimi giorni della stagione di Splinterlands. Avendo già due carte di livello 1 nella mia collezione ho preferito comprare altre 4 carte e ottenere una carta Gloridax Magus di livello 3 invece di vendere le mie due carte che come ho già scritto prima potrebbero valere di più in futuro.
Conclusione
Sono contento del mio acquisto anche perchè ho speso 7$ ma ho ottenuto i seguenti vantaggi:
- ho aggiunto alla mia collezione una carte utile in battaglia in presenza di particolari regole di battaglia e quindi ho un ulteriore opzione di scelta.
- ho aumentato il mio punteggio power di 4000 punti spendendo solo 7$
- ho una carta in meno da noleggiare gli ultimi due giorni prima della fine della stagione. Infatti Gloridax Magus di livello 3 è una delle carte che ho noleggiato spesso in passato.

Ogni gioco che prevede l'acquisto di carte e di token non è mai un semplice gioco ma è anche un investimento. Io non sono un consulente finanziario e il mio non è un consiglio finanziario ma è solo la mia personale opinione frutto della mia esperienza.
