Hello friends and players of Splinterlands, another season of Splinterlands is over and immediately began another.
For me it was a better season than the previous one because I finished the season in league Diamond I while in the previous six seasons I finished in league Diamond II.
I end the season with a rating of 3341 points and finish in position 231 of the Diamond ranking.
I fought fewer battles than the previous season but improved my win rate. Out of a total of 228 battles I achieved 118 wins with a final winrate of 51.75% while the maximum number of consecutive wins was 12 compared to 8 in the previous season.
To finish in the Diamond I league, I rented 12 cards (4 more than the previous season) from the Peakmonsters site marketplace (https://peakmonsters.com/).
I closed all of the non-expiring rental contracts. The total cost to rent the twelve cards was $0,54. I spent just over twice as much as the previous season.
Gold Ranking Considerations
In a previous post of mine I had expressed my thoughts on the Diamond ranking and had drawn the conclusion that it was out of my possibilities. In this post I want to analyze the Gold Ranking. I looked at the card collection of the first ranked player and the card collections of the players in the middle and final positions of the ranking to get an idea of the cards needed to enter the top thirty positions in the ranking.
I'll start with the first position considerations.
Gold Ranking - First Position
The ranking was won by player byzantinekitty with a rating of 3734 points.
Byzantinekitty has a card collection worth 19031,48 $. A really valuable collection with lots of gold cards.
The $ value of the card collection is an indicator but not the most important one because the ranking is determined by the battle value of the cards more than the economic value.
Looking at byzantinekitty's card collection it is evident that to get the first place in the Gold ranking you need to have:
- Legendary summoners (at least third level).
- A good number of legendary cards (of penultimate or highest level)
Below I show you the legendary summoners and legendary cards that are present in the deck of the first place in the Splinterlands Gold Ranking.

It's obvious that to arrive in the first position is almost impossible for me that I have a collection of the value of around 500 $ and it is also impossible for who has recently begun to play Splinterlands and doesn't intend to invest a lot of money. Now let's take a look at the card collection of the player in the middle of the ranking.
Gold Ranking - Mid Ranking
The Gold Ranking has 30 awarded positions and position number 15 is the middle one. In the 15th position the player was ranked: olopezdeveloper
The player olopezdeveloper has a collection of cards worth 784,88 $

Legendary cards
The fifteenth position of the Gold ranking is definitely more affordable than the first one even if it requires you to play a good number of battles during the season. In fact olopezdeveloper has fought 471 battles of which won 396. 471 battles in 15 days corresponds to an average of 31,4 battles per day while the average wins is 26,4 per day.
Gold Ranking - Thirtieth Position
The last awarded position in the Gold Leaderboard is the thirtieth position. Ranked in the 30th position is the player: theangelspeed
The player theangelspeed has a collection worth $252.31.
Summoners
Legendary cards
Player theangelspeed needed only 201 battles to reach the thirtieth position on the leaderboard but with a winrate of over eighty percent. Looking at the card collections of these three players allows you to better understand what it takes to rank first, middle and last in the Gold ranking.
My Goal for the current Season
I with my card collection could try to rank in the middle positions of the Gold rankings.
However, completing 471 battles takes time and I have very little time at the moment. So in the next season I will try to rank at least the twentieth place in the Gold Ranking which has as its prize 5 packs of Untamed cards. If in the last days of the season I realize that I'm too far from my goal I will change strategy and advance league trying to get at least in the league Diamond I to receive 60 chests as a reward.
I'll show you now the reward I got for the conclusion of the Splinterlands season.
My end of season reward
The expected reward for players who make it to the Diamond I league is 60 chests.
In the following image you can see the cards I found in the chests.
The most valuable card is Gloridax Soldier - Gold which has a market value of $2 and a conversion value to DEC of 2000.
The total value of the cards is $2,734.
DEC and Potions
I also found 16 Potions and a total of 227 DEC tokens.
Today January 2, 2021, 227 DEC is equivalent to the value of 1.57 HIVE (Highest BID on LeoDex/HiveEngine)
I decided to open the two card packs and found the following 10 cards.
The total value of the cards I found in the two packs of cards is $0.60 (Market Price)
The total reward is (- $0.54 + $2.734 + $0.18 +0.60) = 2.974 $.
An average reward, not exciting but not bad either. I hope to find a big, beautiful reward soon but if we reason that Splinterlands is a fun game that rewards you for playing every reward is good ;)

Per me è stata una stagione migliore della precedente perchè ho concluso la stagione in lega Diamond I mentre nelle sei precedenti stagioni avevo concluso in lega Diamond II.
Concludo la stagione con un rating di 3341 punti e concludo in posizione 231 della classifica Diamond.
Ho combattuto un numero di battaglie inferiore rispetto alla precedente stagione ma ho migliorato il mio win rate. Su un totale di 228 battaglie ho ottenuto 118 vittorie con un winrate finale del 51,75% mentre il numero massimo di vittorie consecutive è stato di 12 contro le 8 della precedente stagione.
Per terminare nella lega Diamond I ho noleggiato 12 carte (4 in più rispetto alla stagione precedente) dal mercato del sito Peakmonsters (https://peakmonsters.com/).
Ho concluso tutti i contratti di noleggio non in scadenza. Il costo totale per il noleggio delle dodici carte è stato di 0.54 $ Ho speso poco più del doppio rispetto alla precedente stagione.
Considerazioni sulla classifica Gold
In un mio post precedente avevo espresso le mie considerazioni sulla classifica Diamond e avevo tratto la conclusione che non era alla mia portata. In questo post voglio analizzare la Classifica Gold. Ho guardato la collezione di carte del primo classificato e le collezioni di carte dei classificati nelle posizioni centrali della classifica per avere un'idea delle carte necessarie per entrare nelle prime venti posizioni in classifica.
Inizio dalle considerazioni sulla prima posizione.
Classifica Gold - Prima Posizione
La classifica è stata vinta dal giocatore byzantinekitty con un rating di 3734 punti.
Byzantinekitty ha una collezione di carte del valore di 19031,48 $. Una collezione davvero di valore con tante carte dorate.
Il valore in $ della collezione di carte è un indicatore ma non è il più importante perchè la posizione in classifica è determinata dal valore in battaglia delle carte più che dal valore economico.
Guardando la collezione di carte di byzantinekitty è evidente che per ottenere il primo posto della classifica Gold è necessario avere:
- Evocatori leggendari (almeno di terzo livello)
- Un buon numero di carte leggendarie (di penultimo o massimo livello)
Di seguito ti mostro gli evocatori leggendari e le carte leggendarie che sono presenti nel deck del primo classificato della classifica Gold di Splinterlands.

E' evidente che arrivare in prima posizione è quasi impossibile per me che ho una collezione del valore di circa 500 $ e lo è altrettanto per chi ha da poco iniziato a giocare a Splinterlands. Adesso vediamo insieme la collezione di carte del giocatore che si è posizionato a metà classifica.

Guardare le collezioni di carte di questi tre giocatori permette di capire meglio cosa serve per posizionarsi al primo, al centro della classifica e all'ultimo posto premiato della classifica Gold.
Il mio Obbiettivo per la Stagione in corso
Io con la mia collezione di carte potrei provare a classificarmi nelle posizioni centrali della classifica Gold.
Completare 471 battaglie richiede però del tempo e in questo periodo ho davvero poco tempo a disposizione. Quindi nella prossima stagione proverò a classificarmi almeno al ventesimo posto della classifica Gold che ha come premio 5 pacchi di carte Untamed. Se negli ultimi giorni della stagione mi accorgerò di essere troppo distante dal mio obbiettivo cambierò strategia e avanzerò di lega cercando di arrivare almeno in lega Diamond I per ricevere 60 forzieri come ricompensa.

- valore carte trovate nei forzieri: 2,734 $

- valore totale carte trovate nei pacchi di carte Untamed: 0,60 $
Il profitto totale è di (- 0,54$ + 2,734$ + 0,18$ +0,60) = 2,974 $.
Una ricompensa media, non entusiasmante ma neanche brutta. Spero di trovare prima o poi una grande e bella ricompensa ma se ragioniamo sul fatto che Splinterlands è un gioco divertente che ti premia per giocare ogni ricompensa è buona ;)
