It has been 30 days since my previous post on Golem Overlord and today I return to share my thoughts, my gaming experience and also the financial analysis of my investment on this Hive-based idle game created by https://splex.gg/.

The most recent news concerning Golem Overlord is the choice to ban 1379 accounts accused of using bots and automations in the game.

I am always in favor of the application of anti-bots measures in any web 2.0 or web 3.0 game because automations/bots are always negative elements that have effect especially in the medium to long term and that drive away and disincentivize the entry of new players.

So I am happy with the Golem Overlord team's choice to fight the use of bots also because as clearly written in the whitepaper bots are not allowed while it is possible to create more than 1 accounts.

But now it is time to review Golem Overlord by evaluating two elements that I consider of great importance in any idle game:

• the number of active players
• the value of tokens in the game.

There is almost always a strong connection between the variation in the number of active players and the value of the game's tokens although of course there are other factors to consider as well.

I checked and noted the number of active players on Golem Overlord:

• May 9, 2023:
  • Golemancers: 11943
  • Active Players: 10591
• on May 19, 2023
  • Golemancers: 12176
  • Active Players: 9985
• June 7, 2023
  • Golemancers: 8497
  • Active Players: 6617
• June 27, 2023:
  • Golemancers: 8677
  • Active Players: 6040
• Today July 27, 2023:
  • Golemancers: 7486
  • Active Players: 4534

As time has passed both registrations and active players have decreased although the latest dimution (June 27, 2023 - July 27, 2023) is mainly due to the banning of 1379 accounts so this is more of a positive than a negative.

On Golem Overlord there are two tokens: PART and SHARD.

In the following two screenshots you can see graphs showing the trend of the PART and SHARD token values.

As happens in almost all idle games, or at least in the idle games I have played in the past, the value of tokens follows a downward trend that can only be reversed by the entry of new players or the addition of new use cases.

In the following two elevations you can see the difference in value of PART tokens and SHARD tokens over a 30-day time interval (June 27, 2023 - July 27, 2023)

Only HIVE increases in value against the dollar in a 30-day time interval. SHARD tokens after increasing in market value due to the release of NFTs of the Background type and Crates has resumed its downward trend.

30 days ago buying 1 crate had a cost of 6.81 SHARD = 1.49 SWAP.HIVE Today buying 1 crate has a cost of 22.09 SHARDS = 1.42 SWAP.HIVE

I have 3 background type NFTs but have not purchased crates so far and based on the current market situation of PART and SHARD tokens for the time being not planning to make any purchases.

My game activity

On Golem Overlord you cannot use bots but it is legit and it is possible to play with multiple accounts and I bought two golemancer staff for accounts:

• @libertycrypto27: my main account (98 days of play)
• @libertygame27: my curation account for tokens SPT (91 game days)

I started playing on Golem Overlord on April 20, 2023, 13 days after its release while 7 days later I doubled my gaming activity by also signing up @libertygame27.

In the last 30 days I have not been a particularly active player on Golem Overlord and in fact I suffer attacks when I delay the claim operation and sometimes I find my stash completely full but when I have free time and at least once every 24 hours I try to enter the game to make the claim and to attack other players who have defensive stats lower than my attack power.

My Investment Strategy and My Financial Results (Profit and ROI) After 98 Days of Play

Anyone who has read at least one of my previous posts on any of the idle games I play knows that I consider idle games almost entirely investments and that reaching the break-even point as quickly as possible is always one of my main financial goals.

My investment strategy on Golem Overlord has been from the beginning always the same:

• sell only 20% of the PART tokens to not receive penalties on Claims
• invest 80% of the PART tokens to improve my game stats.

Golem Overlord is a play-to-earn game but it became a free-to-play game for me because I reached the break-even point with both of my two accounts although at different times:

• @libertycrypto27: it only took me 9 days to reach the break-even point
• @libertygame27: it took me 61 days to reach the break-even point

Profit and ROI

To register @libertycrypto27 on Golem Overlord I spent 30 SWAP.HIVE (Golemancer Staff). In 98 days of play I obtained the following financial results:

• Profit: +46.01 SWAP.HIVE = +$16.33 (Profit previous report: +44.28 SWAP.HIVE)
• ROI: +153.37% (previous ROI report: +147.61%)

To register @libertygame27 on Golem Overlord I spent 40 SWAP.HIVE (Golemancer Staff). In 91 days of play I have achieved the following financial results:

• Profit: +6.39 SWAP.HIVE = +2.67$ (Profit previous report: +4.31 SWAP.HIVE)
• ROI: +10.78% (previous ROI report: +10.78%)

If I add up the previous financial results I get the total financial results of my investment on Golem Overlord in 98 days of play:

• Profit: +52.40 SWAP.HIVE = +$21.85 (Profit previous report: +48.60 SWAP.HIVE)
• ROI: +74.86% (previous ROI report: +69.42%)

Final Considerations

I am always very happy that I chose to play and that I chose to invest on Golem Overlord because my gaming results and my financial results are both very positive especially considering that they are results obtained in a little more than three months of playing and considering that the time I have dedicated to the game is very little =very few minutes per day.

If I had been constant I would have definitely gotten more PART and SHARD tokens but the Hive games I play and invested in are starting to be many while my free time has not increased.

On Golem Overlord I continue to play and I continue to increase my game stats and I am also curious to see the effects of the recent banning of 1379 accounts on Golem Overlord tokenomics and I am equally curious to see the point at which tokens will reach a more or less lasting stability of market value although I don't think we are there yet.

Golem Overlord: 1379 Accounts Bannati + La mia strategia di gioco e di investimento dopo 48 giorni

Sono passati 30 giorni dal mio precedente post su Golem Overlord e oggi ritorno a condividere le mie considerazioni, la mia esperienza di gioco e anche l'analisi finanziaria del mio investimento su questo Hive-based idle game creato da https://splex.gg/.

La più recente novità che riguarda Golem Overlord è la scelta di bannare 1379 accounts accusati di utilizzare bots e automazioni nel gioco.

Sono sempre a favore dell'applicazione di misure anti-bots in qualsiasi gioco web 2.0 o web 3.0 perchè le automazioni/i bots sono sempre degli elementi negativi che hanno effetto soprattuto nel medio-lungo periodo e che allontanano e disincentivano l'ingresso di nuovi giocatori.

Sono quindi contento della scelta del team di Golem Overlord di combattere l'utilizzo dei bots anche perchè come chiaramente scritto nel whitepaper non sono consentiti i bots mentre è possibile creare più di 1 accounts.

Ma adesso è arrivato il momento di fare il punto della situazione su Golem Overlord valutando due elementi che considero di grande importanza in ogni idle game:

• il numero dei giocatori attivi
• il valore dei token del gioco

C'è quasi sempre una forte connessione tra la variazione del numero dei giocatori attivi e il valore dei token del gioco anche se ovviamente ci sono anche altri fattori da considerare.

Ho controllato e preso nota del numero dei giocatori attivi su Golem Overlord:

• il 9 maggio 2023:
  • Golemancers: 11943
  • Active Players: 10591
• il 19 maggio 2023
  • Golemancers: 12176

• il 7 giugno 2023

Con il passare del tempo sia le iscrizioni che i giocatori attivi sono diminuiti anche se l'ultima dimuzione (27 giugno 2023 - 27 luglio 2023) è dovuta principalmente al ban di 1379 accounts e quindi questo è un elemento più positivo che negativo.

Su Golem Overlord ci sono due tokens: PART e SHARD.

Nei due screenshots seguenti puoi vedere i grafici che mostrano l'andamento dei valori dei token PART e SHARD.

Come succede in quasi tutti gli idle games o almeno negli idle games che ho giocato in passato, il valore dei token segue una tendenza verso il basso che può essere invertita solo dall'ingresso di nuovi giocatori o dall'aggiunta di nuovi casi d'uso.

Nei due prospetti seguenti puoi vedere la differenza di valore dei token PART e dei token SHARD in un intervallo di tempo di 30 giorni.

Solo HIVE fa registrare un aumento di valore rispetto al dollaro in un intervallo di tempo di 30 giorni. I token SHARD dopo aver aumentato il valore di mercato per effetto del rilascio degli NFTs e dei Crates di tipo Background ha ripreso la sua tendenza al ribasso.

30 giorni fa acquistare 1 crate aveva un costo di 6.81 SHARD = 1.49 SWAP.HIVE Oggi acquistare 1 crate ha un costo di 22.09 SHARDS = 1.42 SWAP.HIVE

Ho 3 NFT di tipo background ma non ho acquistato crates fino ad ora e per il momento non in programma di fare acquisti.

## La mia attività di gioco

Su Golem Overlord non è possibile utilizzare bots ma è lecito ed è possibile giocare con più accounts e io ho comprato due golemancer staff per gli accounts:

• @libertycrypto27: my main account (98 giorni di gioco)
• @libertygame27: mio curation account per i token SPT (91 giorni di gioco)

Ho iniziato a giocare su Golem Overlord il 20 aprile 2023, 13 giorni dopo il suo rilascio mentre 7 giorni dopo ho raddoppiato la mia attività di gioco iscrivendo anche @libertygame27.

Negli ultimi 30 giorni non sono un giocatore particolarmente attivo su Golem Overlord e infatti subisco degli attacchi quando ritardo l'operazione di claim e qualche volta trovo il mio stash completamente pieno ma quando ho tempo libero e almeno una volta ogni 24 ore cerco di entrare nel gioco per fare il claim e per attaccare gli altri giocatori che hanno statistiche difensive inferiori al mio potere di attacco.

Chi ha letto almeno uno dei miei precedenti post su un qualsiasi idle game a cui gioco sa bene che considero gli idle games quasi del tutto investimenti e che raggiungere il punto di pareggio nel più breve tempo possibile è sempre uno dei miei obiettivi finanziari principali.

La mia strategia di investimento su Golem Overlord è stata fin dall'inizio sempre la stessa:

• vendere solo il 20% dei token PART per non ricevere penalità sui Claims
• investire l'80% dei token PART per migliorare le mie statistiche di gioco

Golem Overlord è un play-to-earn game ma è diventato per me un free-to-play game perchè ho raggiunto il punto di pareggio con entrambi i miei due accounts anche se in tempi diversi:

• @libertycrypto27: ho impiegato solo 9 giorni per raggiungere il punto di pareggio
• @libertygame27: ho impiegato 61 giorni per raggiungere il punto di pareggio

Considerazioni Finali

Sono sempre molto contento di aver scelto di giocare e di aver scelto di investire su Golem Overlord perchè i miei risultati di gioco e i miei risultati finanziari sono entrambi molto positivi soprattutto considerando che sono risultati ottenuti in poco più di tre mesi di gioco e considerando che il tempo che ho dedicato al gioco è davvero poco =pochissimi minuti al giorno.

Se fossi stato costante avrei ottenuto sicuramente un maggior quantitativo di token PART e SHARD ma gli Hive games a cui gioco e in cui ho investito incominciano ad essere molti mentre il mio tempo libero non è aumentato.

Nei prossimi giorni cercherò di essere più costante nel fare le operazioni di claim e cercherò di non sprecare i tentativi di attacco che ho a disposizione.

Sono anche curioso di vedere gli effetti del recente banning di 1379 accounts sulla tokenomics di Golem Overlord e sono altrettanto curioso di vedere il punto in cui i token raggiungeranno una più o meno duratura stabilità di valore di mercato anche se non penso siamo ancora a quel punto.
