It's 18 days since my last post on Golem Overlord and today I return to share my gaming and investment experience on this idle game developed on the Hive blockchain by https://splex.gg/.

Over the past 18 days, changes have been made to some game dynamics and functionalities:

• modification to Attack Mechanics: Attack Mechanics Overhaul: Expanding Targets, Minimising Risks, Amplifying Fun!
• modification to Referral Rewards: Referral Revolution: More Rewards for You!
• Functionality addition for Guilds: Rise Together: Guild Bunker Upgrades add more Slots to guilds!

I like all the changes introduced starting with the change to the attack penalties which have been drastically reduced.

Before this change attacking was practically a poorly incentivised action because in the case of an unsuccessful attack you lost 3% to 10% of unclaimed PART tokens.

Starting May 24, 2023, losing an attack can cost from 0.5% to 2.5% of the accumulated unclaimed PART tokens and therefore attacking has once again become a more advantageous and less risky game action.

In the screenshot below you can read the details of the changes to the attack mechanisms introduced on 24 May 2023.

I am also very happy with Golem Overlord's choice to prohibit the use of Bots. As you can see from the image below, logging into Golem Overlord requires you to solve a Captcha.

**I consider bots to be a danger to the growth prospects of every web 2.0 and web 3.0 game and that is why I am glad that on Golem Overlord using bots is not allowed!

In my opinion, bots can only bring small benefits in the very short term to a blockchain-based game project, but then always produce big problems in the medium to long term!**

Do you know of a web 2.0 or web 3.0 game that has been successful thanks to private bots? I don't but I know very well Splinterlands and the damage caused by bots on my favourite blockchain game...

My game activity

I started playing Golem Overlord on 20 April 2023, 13 days after its release. On 27 April I doubled my gaming activity because after @libertycrypto27 I also registered my curation account for tokens SPT on Golem Overlord: @libertygame27.

On Golem Overlord it is not possible to use bots but it is legit and possible to play with multiple accounts.

In the following two images you can see the gaming statistics of:

• @libertycrypto27 (48 game days)
• @libertygame27 (40 game days)

Up until now I have adopted a predominantly defensive strategy and focused mainly on defensive Fortification stats for both my accounts with the objective of not receiving attacks but now that attacking has more advantages than disadvantages I will also think about increasing the power stats.

In my next post I will share the results of the change in my strategy which will no longer be completely defence-oriented but will be a more balanced strategy because it will involve defence and attack together.

For both my game accounts I have chosen to have a minimum of 6 active Scavenger Golems and right now I have 8 active Scavenger Golems for @libertycrypto27 and 6 active Scavenger Golems for @libertygame27

To recap, over the next few days I will mainly focus on improving Power stats and start attacking players with defensive stats below my attack power.

My Investment Strategy and My Financial Results (Profit and ROI) After 29 Days of Play

Anyone who has read at least one of my previous posts on any of the idle games I play knows that I consider idle games almost entirely investments,

In all the idle games I play I adapt and base my game and investment strategy primarily on two elements that I consider very important:

• the number of active players
• the value of the tokens of the game.

There is almost always a strong connection between the number of active players and the value of the game's tokens because:

• when the number of active players increases the chances that the token value may also increase are higher
• when the number of active players decreases, the likelihood that the value of the token will follow the same trend increases.

Obviously there are other factors to consider that might come into play to influence the token value of a game web 3.0 such as the introduction of new features into the game and/or the introduction of new use cases for the tokens of the game

On Golem Overlord the level of information available to players is very high and knowing the number of active players is very easy because there is the Statistics section that provides this information always up to date.

I checked the number of active players on Golem Overlord:

• on 9 May 2023
• on 19 May 2023
• today 7 June 2023

Over the past 19 days, the number of active players has decreased: 9985 Active Players -> 6617 Active Players.

It is true that today Golem Overlord has lost more than 3k active players compared to 19 days ago but this decrease was largely caused by the anti-bots measures which I consider very positive and very useful for the future prospects of Golem Overlord.

In fact as written by @golem.overlord in this post more than 800 accounts using scripts have been banned!

How did the value of the PART token change over a 19-day period?

HIVE: -10.24% compared to the dollar value it had 19 days ago PART:

• -66.50% compared to the dollar value (Highest Bid) it had 19 days ago
• -63.19% compared to the dollar value (Lowest Ask) it had 19 days ago

The -10.24% recorded by the HIVE token is mainly due to the recent news of the SEC's accusation against Binance... The decrease in the value of PART tokens is instead a decrease that I consider "normal" in idle games because if the active players do not increase and if no new features are introduced in the game or new use cases for the token of the game the decrease in value is "physiological" and predictable but at the same time not worrying if you have some experience in idle games ;)

My investment strategy on Golem Overlord has not changed from the strategy I shared in my previous post and is as follows:

• sell only 20% of the PART tokens in order not to receive penalties on Claims
• invest 80% of the PART tokens to improve my game stats
• sell 50% of SHARD tokens earned by @libertycrypto27
• sell 100% of SHARD tokens earned by @libertygame27

I decided to sell only a portion of the SHARD tokens because these tokens that have no use cases today will be useful when NFTs and Crates are introduced.

With my first game account (libertycrypto27) I reached the break-even point after only 9 days of play (29 April 2023) when a PART token had a value of 0.72 SWAP.HIVE.

In 48 days of play I made the claim of 602 PART which I used according to the percentages you can see in the table in the image below.

With my second game account (libertygame27) I made the claim of 524 PART in 22 days of play. I used the PART tokens according to the percentages you can see in the table in the following image.

In the table below you can see the total gain I got from selling PART tokens and SHARD tokens with my first account (libertycrypto27): 61.55 SWAP.HIVE

In the table below you can see the total gain I got from selling PART tokens and SHARD tokens with my second account (libertygame27): 37.21 SWAP.HIVE

Profit and ROI

To sign up @libertycrypto27 on Golem Overlord I spent 30 SWAP.HIVE (Golemancer Staff). In 48 days of play I achieved the following financial results:

• Profit: +31.55 SWAP.HIVE = +$10.51.

To sign up @libertygame27 on Golem Overlord I spent 40 SWAP.HIVE (Golemancer Staff). In 41 days of play I achieved the following financial results:

If I add up the previous financial results I obtain the total financial results of my investment in Golem Overlord after 48 game days:

• Profit: +28.76 SWAP.HIVE = +$11.99.
• ROI: +41.09%

Final considerations

I am still very happy that I chose to play and invest in Golem Overlord because both my gaming results and my financial results are very positive.

I am very close to breaking even for libertygame27 (-2.79 SWAP.HIVE at break-even point) but already for several days Golem Overlord has become a free-to-play game for me and also an additional source of income that will allow me to increase my Hive Power which is always my main goal on the Hive blockchain!

Golem Overlord: Considerazioni sulle recenti modifiche introdotte, La mia strategia di gioco e di investimento dopo 48 giorni

Sono passati 18 giorni dal mio ultimo post su Golem Overlord e oggi ritorno a condividere la mia esperienza di gioco e di investimento su questo idle game sviluppato sulla blockchain di Hive da https://splex.gg/.

Negli ultimi 18 giorni sono state introdotte delle modifiche ad alcune dinamiche di gioco e ad alcune funzionalità:

• aggiunta di funzionalità per le Guilds: Rise Together: Guild Bunker Upgrades add more Slots to guilds!

Mi piacciono tutte le modifiche introdotte a partire dalla modifica delle penalità per gli attacchi che sono state ridotte drasticamente.

Prima di questa modifica attaccare era praticamente un'azione poco incentivata perchè in caso di un attacco non andato a buon fine si perdeva dal 3% al 10% dei token PART non claimati.

A partire dal 24 maggio 2023 perdere un attacco può costare dallo 0.5% al 2.5% dei token PART accumulati e non claimati e quindi attaccare è diventato nuovamente un azione di gioco più vantaggiosa e meno rischiosa.

Nello screenshot seguente puoi leggere i dettegli delle modifiche ai meccanismi di attacco introdotte il 24 maggio 2023.

Sono anche molto contento della scelta di Golem Overlord di vietare l'utilizzo dei Bots. Come puoi vedere dall'immagine seguente effettuare il login su Golem Overlord richiede di risolvere un Captcha.

Considero i bots un pericolo per le prospettive di crescita di ogni gioco web 2.0 e web 3.0 e per questo sono contento che su Golem Overlord utilizzare i bots non sia consentito!

Secondo me i bots possono portare solo piccoli vantaggi nel brevissimo periodo ad un progetto di un gioco basato su blockchain ma poi producono sempre grandi problemi nel medio-lungo periodo!

Conosci un gioco web 2.0 o web 3.0 che ha avuto successo grazie ai bots privati? Io no ma conosco molto bene Splinterlands e i danni causati dai bots...

## La mia attività di gioco

Ho iniziato a giocare su Golem Overlord il 20 aprile 2023, 13 giorni dopo il suo rilascio. Il 27 aprile ho raddoppiato la mia attività di gioco perchè dopo @libertycrypto27 ho iscritto su Golem Overlord anche il mio curation account per i token SPT: @libertygame27.

Su Golem Overlord non è possibile utilizzare bots ma è lecito ed è possibile giocare con più accounts.

Nelle due immagini seguenti puoi vedere le statistiche di gioco di:

• @libertycrypto27 (48 giorni di gioco)
• @libertygame27 (40 giorni di gioco)

Fino ad oggi ho adottato una strategia prevelentemente difensivista e mi sono focalizzato principalmente sulla statistica difensiva Fortification per entrambi i miei account con l'obiettivo di non ricevere attacchi ma adesso che attaccare ha più vantaggi che svantaggi penserò anche ad aumentare la statistica Power. Nel mio prossimo post condividerò i risultati del cambiamento della mia strategia che non sarà più completamente orientata alla difesa ma sarà una strategia più equilibrata perchè prevederà difesa e attacco insieme.

Per entrambi i miei accounts di gioco ho scelto di avere un minimo di 6 Scavenger Golems attivi e in questo momento ho 8 Scavenger Golems attivi per @libertycrypto27 e 6 Scavenger Golems attivi per @libertygame27

Ricapitolando nei prossimi giorni mi concentrerò soprattutto sul miglioramento della statistica Power e inizierò ad attaccare i giocatori con statistiche difensive inferiori al mio potere di attacco.

My Investment Strategy and My Financial Results (Profit and ROI) After 29 Days of Play

Chi ha letto almeno uno dei miei precedenti post su un qualsiasi idle game a cui gioco sa bene che considero gli idle games quasi del tutto investimenti,

In tutti gli idle games a cui gioco adatto e baso la mia strategia di gioco e la mia strategia di investimento principalmente su due elementi che considero molto importanti:

• il numero dei giocatori attivi
• il valore dei token del gioco

C'è quasi sempre una forte connessione tra il numero dei giocatori attivi e il valore dei token del gioco perchè:

• quando il numero dei giocatori attivi aumenta le possibilità che anche il valore del token possano aumentare sono più alte
• quando il numero dei giocatori attivi diminuisce, aumenta la probabilità che il valore del token segua lo stesso andamento.

Ovviamente ci sono altri fattori da considerare che potrebbero entrare in gioco per influenzare il valore dei token di un gioco web 3.0 come ad esempio l'introduzione di nuove funzionalità nel gioco e/o l'introduzione di nuovi casi d'uso per i token del gioco ma tendenzialmente il valore dei token e il numero dei giocatori attivi sono strettamente collegati e lo sono soprattutto in un idle game.

Su Golem Overlord il livello di informazione a disposizione dei giocatori è molto alto e conoscere il numero dei giocatori attivi è molto facile perchè c'è la sezione Statistics che fornisce questa informazione sempre aggiornata.

Ho controllato il numero dei giocatori attivi su Golem Overlord:

• il 9 maggio 2023
• il 19 maggio 2023
• oggi 7 giugno 2023

Negli ultimi 19 giorni il numero dei giocatori attivi è diminuito: 9985 Active Players -> 6617 Active Players

E' vero che oggi Golem Overlord ha perso più di 3k giocatori attivi ma questa diminuzione è stata causata in gran parte dalle misure anti-bots che sono misure che io considero molto positive e utilissime per le prospettive future di Golem Overlord.

Infatti come scritto da @golem.overlord in questo post sono stati bannati più di 800 accounts che utilizzavano scripts!

Come è cambiato il valore del token PART in un intervallo di tempo di 19 giorni?

HIVE: -10.24% rispetto al valore in dollari che aveva 19 giorni fa PART:

• -66.50% rispetto al valore in dollari (Highest Bid) che aveva 19 giorni fa
• -63.19% rispetto al valore in dollari (Lowest Ask) che aveva 19 giorni fa

Il -10.24% registrato dal token HIVE è principalmente dovuto alla recente notizia dell'accusa fatta dalla SEC nei confronti di Binance. La diminuzione del valore dei token PART è invece una diminuzione che io considero "normale" negli idle games perchè se i giocatori attivi non aumentano e se non vengono introdotte nuove funzionalità nel gioco o nuovi casi d'uso per il token del gioco la diminuzione di valore è "fisiologica" e prevedibile ma allo stesso tempo non preoccupante se si ha un pò di esperienza negli idle games ;)

La mia strategia di investimento su Golem Overlord non è cambiata rispetto alla strategia che ho condiviso nel mio precedente post ed è la seguente:

• vendere solo il 20% dei token PART per non ricevere penalità sui Claims
• investire l'80% dei token PART per migliorare le mie statistiche di gioco
• vendere il 50% dei token SHARD guadagnati da @libertycrypto27
• vendere il 100% dei token SHARD guadagnati da @libertygame27

Ho deciso di non vendere solo una parte dei token SHARD perchè questi token che oggi non hanno casi d'uso saranno utili quando saranno introdotti gli NFTs e i Crates.

Con il mio primo account di gioco (libertycrypto27) ho raggiunto il punto di pareggio dopo soli 9 giorni di gioco (29 aprile 2023) quando un token PART aveva un valore di 0.72 SWAP.HIVE.

In 48 giorni di gioco ho fatto il claim di 602 PART che ho utilizzato in base alle percentuali che puoi vedere nel prospetto nell'immagine seguente.

Considerazioni Finali

Sono sempre molto contento di aver scelto di giocare e di aver scelto di investire su Golem Overlord perchè sono molto positivi sia i miei risultati di gioco che i miei risultati finanziari

Sono molto vicino a raggiungere il punto di pareggio anche per libertygame27 (-2.79 SWAP.HIVE al punto di pareggio) ma già da diversi giorni Golem Overlord è diventato per me non solo un free-to-play game ma anche un fonte di guadagno che mi permetterà di aumentare il mio Hive Power che è sempre il mio obiettivo principale sulla blockchain di Hive!
