Hashkings: Calculation of Harvest Profit and Estimated Annual ROI of each Land+Seed Combo and the importance of burning BUDS to get seeds (ENG/ITA)

Blockchain-based games are one of my passions and the Hive games are especially so because Hive is my favorite blockchain project. Today I virtually flew to South America and harvested from my 4 land South America in the Hashkings game.

From the 4 Harvest operations I obtained 844 BUDS whose current market value is 0.0886 SWAP.HIVE = $0.0390 (Highest Bid).

I immediately planted another 4 NFTs of Seed type, "watered" them with HKWATER tokens, and restarted production. As you can see from the calculations in the diagram below, I got a net profit of 498 BUDS.

My farm has long been a self-sustaining farm because the costs of restarting production are less than the profit but my weekly profit is very small in terms of SWAP.HIVE.

Today I resumed a table I had created in February 2022 to choose the best combination of NFTs to buy to start playing on Hashkings and updated the data to evaluate a possible increase in my investment on Hashkings.

What is the best Land + Seed combination to buy today February 11, 2023? What is the Land + Seed combination that has the best Profit per Harvest and has the best estimated annual ROI?

# Calculation of Harvest Profit and Estimated Annual ROI of each Land+Seed Combo and the importance of burning BUDS to get seeds

Hashkings is not a free game and in order to start playing and to start collecting in-game rewards, it is necessary to purchase a combination of NFTs plus a minimum amount of HK Water tokens (fungible tokens):

**1 Avatar + 1 Land + 1 Seed + HKWATER tokens**

NFTs of type Land are 6 in total (Afghanistan, Africa, Asia, Jamaica, Mexico and South America) and can be purchased from NFTMart: https://nftm.art/buy/hkfarm

HKWATER tokens are second-level tokens of the Hive blockchain and can be purchased from one of Hive's second-level token DEXs such as Hive Engine or Tribal Dex. Alternatively, it is possible to purchase an NFT Water Tower that produces a daily amount of HKWATER.

Seed-type NFTs are consumable items because they can only be used once and can be obtained in two ways:

• immediate purchase from https://nftm.art/buy/hkfarm using SWAP.HIVE, BUDS, ... as the payment method.

• via burning BUDS tokens at https://farm.hashkings.app/seeds (Seeds Pools)

To calculate the Harvest Profit and **estimated annual ROI for each Land + Seed combination, I used the following imput data:

• the market values of the tokens: HIVE (=SWAP.HIVE), BUDS and HKWATER.
  • To calculate the Profit per Harvest I considered the Highest Bid value
  • To calculate the Water Cost per Harvest I considered the Lowest Ask value of the HKWATER tokens

• The price on the market of Land-type NFTs.
• The price on the market of Seed-type NFTs.
• The estimated cost of obtaining a Seed-type NFT from the burning of BUDS tokens (BUDS Seed Pool).
• Sprouting time of Seed-type NFTs
• Reward in BUDS tokens from the Harvest operation based on the production of the best buyable NFT Seed on the market

Starting from the input data, I calculated:

• the estimated profit per Harvest (in SWAP.HIVE tokens)
• the cost to make a single Harvest, cost expressed in SWAP.HIVE tokens
• the estimated profit (expressed in SWAP.HIVE):
  • per single harvest
  • per day
  • per month (30 days)
  • per year (365 days)
• the **estimated annual ROI

I have calculated the results from the previous list in two tables that differ in one input: the mode of obtaining seed-type NFTs (purchase from the market Vs Seeds Pools)

In the table below you can see the calculation of Estimated Profit per Harvest and Estimated Annual ROI in the case where Seed-type NFTs are purchased from the market.

# Analysis of Results

The important considerations that can be learned from the analysis of the data are that:

• the prices of seed cards in the market are too high and therefore "out of the market"!
• those who buy the seed cards from the market will have a loss per Harvest because the cost of the seed cards is higher than the harvest gain per each Land+Seed combination!
• who obtains seed cards by burning BUDS tokens will always have a positive gain to Harvest and consequently also a positive estimated annual ROI.

So today February 11, 2023 using Seeds Pools is the only profitable method to get Seed-type NFTs.

When I started playing on Hashkings (Feb. 2022) the best buy was the combination South America + Panama Red while today it is the combination that yields the lowest estimated annual ROI even if positive: +11%.

Today the combination that produces the highest estimated annual ROI is Land Africa + Seed Swazi Gold

To move from theory to practice today I purchased:

• 2 Land Africa and spent a total of 59 SWAP.HIVE.

I did not purchase a third Land Africa because the lowest price had gone up to 41 SWAP.HIVE.

Obviously I did not purchase any Seed-type NFTs from the market but put all the BUDS tokens I got today into Seeds Pool Africa.

Based on the ratio 142,819 I should get 5.90 Seeds = 5 Seeds (844 BUDS/142,819).

I will wait until I receive the seeds from the pool to start production.

Important Notes:

• The results I calculated today are estimated because they are calculated based on the current values of the BUDS, SWAP.HIVE, HKWATER tokens.
• The distribution of seeds via Seeds Pools is random and seed production statistics are variable (range of values) and therefore I could get better results than I calculated today but also worse results.
• An increase in the value of BUDS tokens will produce an increase in financial results and a decrease in the opposite case.
• An increase in the value of HKWATER tokens will produce an increase in the cost of production and a decrease in ROI per Harvest...
• The ratio of BUDS Seeds Pools will vary according to the amount of BUDS burned by players.

I giochi basati su blockchain sono una delle mie passioni e lo sono in particolare gli Hive games perchè Hive è il mio progetto blockchain preferito. Oggi sono volato virtualmente in South America e ho effettuato l'harvest dalle mie 4 land South America nel gioco di Hashkings.

Dalle 4 operazioni di Harvest ho ottenuto 844 BUDS il cui valore di mercato attuale è di 0.0886 SWAP.HIVE = 0.0390$ (Highest Bid).

Ho piantato subito altri 4 NFT di tipo Seed, li ho "innaffiati" con i token HKWATER e ho fatto ripartire la produzione. Come puoi vedere dai calcoli nello schema seguente ho ottenuto un profitto netto di 498 BUDS.

La mia fattoria è da tempo autosufficiente perchè i costi per far ripartire la produzione sono inferiori al profitto ma il mio guadagno settimale è molto piccolo in termini di SWAP.HIVE.

Oggi ho ripreso una tabella che avevo creato a febbraio 2022 per scegliere la migliore combinazione di NFT da acquistare per iniziare a giocare su Hashkings e ho aggiornato i dati per valutare un possibile incremento del mio investimento su Hashkings.

Qual'è la migliore combinazione Land + Seed da comprare oggi 11 febbraio 2023? Qual'è la combinazione Land + Seed che ha il miglior Profitto per Harvest e che ha il migliore ROI stimato annuale?

Hashkings non è un gioco gratuito e per iniziare a giocare e per iniziare a raccogliere le ricompense di gioco è necessario acquistare una combinazione di NFT insieme ad un minimo quantitativo di token HK Water (fungibile token):

**1 Avatar + 1 Land + 1 Seed + HKWATER tokens**

Gli NFTs di tipo Land sono di 6 tipi (Afghanistan, Africa, Asia, Jamaica, Mexico e South America) e possono essere aquistati da NFTMart: https://nftm.art/buy/hkfarm

I token HKWATER sono token di secondo livello della blockchain di Hive e possono essere acquistati da uno dei DEX dei token di secondo livello di Hive come ad esempio Hive Engine o Tribal Dex. In alternativa è possibile acquistare un NFT Water Tower che produce un quantitativo di HKWATER giornaliero.

Gli NFT di tipo seme sono elementi consumabili perchè possono essere utilizzati una sola volta e possono essere ottenuti in due modi:

• acquisto immediato da https://nftm.art/buy/hkfarm utilizzando come metodo di pagamento SWAP.HIVE, BUDS, ...

• tramite la bruciatura dei token BUDS su https://farm.hashkings.app/seeds (Seeds Pools)

Per calcolare l'Harvest Profit e il ROI stimato annuale per ogni combinazione Land + Seed ho utilizzato i seguenti dati di imput:

• i valori di mercato dei token: HIVE (=SWAP.HIVE), BUDS e HKWATER
  • Per calcolare il Profit per Harvest ho considerato il valore Highest Bid
  • Per calcolare il Costo dell'acqua per Harvest ho considerato il valore Lowest Ask dei token HKWATER

• Il prezzo sul mercato degli NFTs di tipo Land.
• Il prezzo sul mercato degli NFTs di tipo Seed.
• Il costo stimato per ottenere un NFT di tipo Seed dalla bruciatura dei token BUDS (BUDS Seed Pool)
• Tempo di germogliazione degli NFTs di tipo Seed
• Ricompensa in token BUDS dell'operazione di Harvest in base alla produzione del miglior acquisto di NFT Seed acquistabile sul mercato

Partendo dai dati di input ho calcolato:

• il guadagno stimato per Harvest (in token SWAP.HIVE)
• il costo per effettuare un singolo Harvest, costo espresso in token SWAP.HIVE
• il profitto stimato (espresso in SWAP.HIVE):
  • per singolo harvest
  • per giorno
  • per mese (30 giorni)
  • per anno (365 giorni)
• il ROI stimato annuale

Ho calcolato i risultati dell'elenco precedente in due tabelle che si differiscono per un unico dato di input: la modalità di ottenimento degli NFTs di tipo seme (acquisto dal mercato Vs Seeds Pool)

Nella tabella seguente puoi vedere il calcolo del Profit Stimato per Harvest e del ROI stimato annuale nel caso in cui gli NFTs di tipo Seed vengono acquistati dal mercato.

# Analisi dei Risultati

Le importanti considerazioni che è possile trarre dall'analisi dei dati sono che:

• i prezzi delle carte seme sul mercato sono troppo alti e quindi "fuori mercato"!
• chi acquista le carte seme dal mercato avrà una perdita per Harvest perchè il costo delle carte seme è superiore al guadagno dell'harvest per ogni combinazione Land+Seed!
• chi ottiene le carte seme bruciando i token BUDS ha sempre un guadagno per Harvest positivo e di conseguenza anche un ROI stimato annuale positivo.

Quindi oggi 11 febbraio 2023 utilizzare le Seeds Pools è l'unico metodo profittevole per ottenere gli NFTs di tipo Seed.

Quando ho iniziato a giocare su Hashkings (febbraio 2022) il miglior acquisto era la combinazione South America + Panama Red mentre oggi è la combinazione che permette di ottenere il ROI stimato annuale più basso anche se positivo: +11%.

La combinazione che permette di ottenere il ROI stimato annuale più alto è Land Africa + Seed Swazi Gold

Per passare dalla teoria alla pratica oggi ho acquistato:

• 2 Land Africa e ho speso in totale 59 SWAP.HIVE

Non ho acquistato una terza land Africa perchè il prezzo più basso era salito a 41 SWAP.HIVE.

Ovviamente non ho acquistato nessun NFT di tipo Seed dal mercato ma ho messo tutti i token BUDS che ho ottenuto oggi nella Seeds Pool Africa.

In base al ratio 142.819 dovrei ottenere 5.90 Seeds = 5 Seeds (844 BUDS/142.819).

Aspetterò di ricevere i semi dalla pool per iniziare la produzione.

Note Importanti:

• I risultati che ho calcolato oggi sono stimati perchè calcolati in base ai valori attuali dei token BUDS, SWAP.HIVE, HKWATER.
• La distribuzione dei semi tramite le Seeds Pools è casuale e le statistiche di produzione dei semi sono variabili (range di valori) e quindi potrei ottenere risultati migliori di quelli che ho calcolato oggi ma anche risultati peggiori.
• Un aumento del valore dei token BUDS produrrà un'aumento dei risultati finanziari e una diminuzione nel caso contrario.
• Un aumento del valore dei token HKWATER produrrà un aumento del costo di produzione e una diminizione del ROI per Harvest...
• Il ratio delle BUDS Seeds Pools varierà in base al quantitativo di BUDS bruciati dai giocatori.
