Hashkings is an ecosystem of games built and developed on the most beautiful blockchain there is: Hive ;)

I'm an active player on almost all games developed on the Hive blockchain including games from the Hashkings ecosystem:

• Haskings Farming Game
• Raids
• Bang! Defense

In today's post I will try to provide an overview of the Hashkings game ecosystem based on my gaming experience. For each HK game:

• I will list the requirements needed to start playing the game
• I will provide a step by step guide to take the first steps.

I hope to be able to help those who do not know Hashking games or those who are new players and have encountered some initial difficulties.

Let's get started :) # Hashkings Games ## Technical Requirements

The technical requirements to play all games in the Hashkings ecosystem are two:

• Requirement 1. You must have an Hive account.

If you don't have a Hive account you can easily create one in a few steps. I have written two tutorials where I show how to create a Hive account via: - Hive On Board - Leofinance

• Requirement 2. You need to install Hive Keychain Hive KeyChain is the most useful and secure method to access apps in the Hive ecosystem.

## Hashkings Farming Game

Hashkings Farming Game is the first game created by the Hashkings development team. In Hashkings, the player plays the virtual role of a hemp farmer who has to perform all cultivation tasks:

• seed planting
• watering
• harvesting

## Game Requirements

There are two requirements to play the farming mode of Hashkings:

• Requirement 1. You must purchase a minimum combination of 3 NFTs:
  • 1 NFT of type AVATAR
  • 1 NFT of type LAND
  • 1 NFT of type SEED.
• Requirement 2. You must purchase a minimun quantity of HKWATER tokens, this quantity varies depending on the NFTs of type SEED to be planted.

## The NFT combo to buy

All NFTs from Hashkings can be bought and sold from the https://nftm.art/buy/hkfarm marketplace.

I started playing Hashkings in February 2022 and purchased:

• 1 Avatar Farmer Shaggi
• 1 Land South America
• 1 Seed Panama Red
• 504 HKWATER tokens

## Avatars

The first NFT you must purchase to begin your adventure as a Farmer on Hashkings is a NFT of type AVATAR.

You have two purchase options:

• you can purchase an AVATAR-type NFT from https://nftm.art/buy/hkfarm using one of the many purchase methods available:
• SWAP.HIVE
• BUDS
• MOTA
• LEO
• STARBITS
• WEED
• HKWATER
• SWAP.WAX
• ...

• you can purchase a pack of Avatars containing 3 NFTs directly from the Hashkings website by clicking on G2 PACKS as indicated by the numbered arrows in the image below.

The cost of a G2 PACK is $2 and the purchase is made via https://hivepay.io/pay/.

Avatars are NFTs that have at least one use case in each of the games of the Hashkings ecosystem (Farming, Raids and BANG! Defense).

Each avatar-type NFT has 4 attributes:

• XP
• POWER
• USAGE
• FINAL POWER

In the Farming mode of Haskings only the XP attribute is important in the game dynamics because it allows you to increase your level of play which is in turn linked to certain in-game advantages. The attributes POWER, USAGE and FINAL POWER are only important in the RAIDS game mode.

To increase your game level, you must increase the XP attribute of your Avatar. The main way to increase XP points is to use a Joint type consumable NFT (to be virtually smoked by clicking on it).

## Lands

Once you have purchased an NFT of type Avatar in order to play the Farm mode of Hashkings you need to purchase a second NFT of type Land.

To obtain a Land type NFT you have two options:

• purchase from https://nftm.art/buy/hkfarm

• renting from the Rents section at https://farm.hashkings.app/play

## Seeds

After you have purchased an Avatar type NFT and a Land type NFT you have one last NFT to purchase: a Seed type NFT.

Avatar and Land type NFTs are durable NFTs whereas Seed type NFTs are consumable NFTs because they can only be planted once and can therefore only be used once.

Seed-type NFTs can be purchased from https://nftm.art/buy/hkfarm.

There are 22 different Seed type NFTs but only 16 can be planted in a Land type NFT and each seed can only be planted in one Land type (see image below).

## HKWATER tokens

The last element required to start farmer activity on Hashkings is a certain amount of HKWATER tokens. HKWATER tokens are second level tokens on the Hive blockchain and can be purchased from one of Hive's second level token DEXs such as Hive Engine, TribalDex, LeoDex, ...

Every NFT of type Seed needs water to germinate and in the game of Hashkings water is represented by the HKWATER tokens.

In the table below you can see the production time of each Seed-type NFT, the quantity of HKWATER tokens needed to harvest and the cost in SWAP.HIVE and in dollars of the HKWATER tokens needed.

## How to Plant a Seed ## Step by step guide

When you have the Avatar + Land + Seed NFT combination and have the required amount of HKWATER tokens from the Seed type NFT you want to use you have everything you need to start your cannabis growing adventure on Hashkings.

The steps you need to take to plant your first seed are as follows:

Step 1. You have to go to https://farm.hashkings.app/play and you have to do the login as indicated by the numbered arrows in the image below.

Step 2. On the next screen you have to click on the geographical location where your Land card is located. For example, if like me you have NFTs South America you must click on the image of South America within the map as indicated by the arrow in the image below.

Step 3. On the next screen:

• 1. you have to click on the image of the NFT Land where you want to plant an NFT Seed (arrow number 1 next picture)
• 2. then you have to click on the shovel symbol indicated by arrow number 2 in the following picture
• 3. then you have to click on the seed symbol you want to plant and you have to wait for the operation to be executed.

Tip: I recommend that you refresh the page after you have planted a seed (key F5) to save time. This is especially useful if you have several Land cards and several seed cards to plant because you can immediately plant another seed card in another Land card without wasting time because updating the planting operation is not immediate.

Step 4. After you have updated the page you have to water the seed you have planted:

• you have to click on the watering can symbol (arrow number 1 next image)
• you have to click on Confirm inside the Hive KeyChain screen (arrow number 2 next image)

Operation completed! Now you just have to wait the required sprouting time for the Seed card you have planted in order to harvest.

Note: if you have planted more than one seed card, you can perform the watering operation at the same time by clicking on MULTIPLE.

## How to Harvest ## Step-by-Step Guide When the sprouting time of the seed card you have planted is completed, in the **TIME LEFT** field of your Land card, you will see the message **HARVEST TIME!** and you can perform the **Harvest** operation.

The steps you have to perform are as follows: Step 1. You have to click on the image of the NFT Land (arrow number 1 image below) Step 2. You have to click on the symbol indicated by arrow number 2 in the following picture Step 3. You have to click on Confirm within the Hive KeyChain screen (arrow number 3 next image)

The reward of the Harvest operation is a certain amount of BUDS tokens. BUDS tokens like HKWATER tokens are second level tokens of the Hive blockchain.

In the table below you can see the profit I got from my last Harvest (4 NFT South America + 4 Seed - 19 September 2022)

The profit obtainable from Harvest is not the same for all players and depends on several factors:

• the seed card(s) used (each seed card has a variable BUDS token production within a certain range of values)
• the possession or not of certain tokens (MOTA staked) and certain NFTs (Tower).

One who possesses a Tower NFT can produce HKWATER tokens on a daily basis. Whoever has a certain amount of MOTA staked tokens can receive a certain number of Seed NFTs every week.

Important Note: Not every combination of NFT Land + Seed always generates a profit because if the market prices of the NFTs and tokens needed are very high, you may also make a loss from the Harvest operation. This is why it is always important to make calculations and evaluations before buying NFTs and tokens ;)

Raids is the first expansion introduced in the Hashkings game that added a second game mode different from the farming mode. In the Raids game mode, no Land or Seed type NFTs are needed because only Avatars play an important role.

The only requirement to participate in Raids is to possess at least 1 Avatar.

If in the Farming mode the only avatar attribute to influence is the XP (experience points) attribute, in the RAIDS mode all avatar attributes are important:

• XP
• POWER
• USAGE
• FINAL POWER

The FINAL POWER attribute is the result of the following formula: FP = (XP * POWER) / 100. The higher the Final Power attribute of an Avatar is, the more rewards you can get from participating in RAIDS.

In Farming mode you can only choose and use one Avatar and it is best not to change it if it is upgraded because the XP points are stored in the Avatar and cannot be transferred to another Avatar. In Raids mode it is possible to use multiple Avatars at the same time.

The game stats of Avatar-type NFTs can be improved by using the Forge and Merge features that allow you to combine two avatars into one avatar with better stats.

## How to send Avatars in RAIDS ## Step-by-Step Guide

If you have one or more Avatars, you can then participate in Raids. I will show you the simple steps to perform to send your avatar(s) (if you have more than one) in the Raids.

Step 1 (option 1) You have to go to https://farm.hashkings.app/raids

Step 1 (option 2) If you are on https://farm.hashkings.app/play:

• 1. you have to open the menu (arrow number 1 next image)
• 2. then you have to click on HASKINGS (arrow number 2 next picture)
• 3. then you have to click on RAIDS (arrow number 3 next image)

Step 2. You have to select the Boss based on the stats of your avatars. There are 5 Bosses to choose from and each Boss has requirements to be tackled:

• Avatar Min. LVL
• Avatar Max. LVL

Step 3. Once you have selected the Boss that your avatar can face:

• 1. you must click on the SELECT YOUR AVATARS field.
• 2. then you need to click on the square indicated by arrow number 2 in the picture below
• 3. then you have to click on the arrow symbol pointing upwards (arrow number 3 in the following picture)
• 4. finally you have to click on SET AVATAR (arrow number 4 next picture)

**Operation completed! Now you just have to wait until you receive the reward in your wallet.

I have 38 level 1 avatars and in the following image you can see the latest rewards I have received.

## BANG! Defence

The latest game of the Hashkings ecosystem that is currently playable is BANG! Defence BANG! Defense is a Tower Defense Game that is simple, fun and immediate to play. The creator of the game is @choof. The objective of the game is to defend a tower from attacks by birds, animated bombs, bouncing pink balls and other cute characters who have one and only one goal: destroy your tower!

BANG! Defence is a game that I really enjoy. When I have 10 minutes free I play two games and have fun.

## The first game on Bang Defense ## Step-by-step guide You can try Bang! Defense as a demo version, but if you have purchased a Weapon-type NFT you can immediately play and start collecting in-game rewards.

To play Bang! Defense you need to follow the following steps. Step 1. You must go to https://bangdefense.net/home/index.html and perform the login.

Step 2. You have to go to https://bangdefense.net/home/Dashboard.html and then:

• 1. you have to choose and activate the NFT Weapon you want to use in the game (arrow number 1 image below)
• 2. then you have to click on Play (arrow number 2 next image)

That's it! The game screen will open and you just have to aim and shoot and do your best to defend your tower ;)

The Hashkings gaming project started out as a single Farming game but has since grown into an ecosystem of games that is constantly expanding.

Currently the presale of a new game mode called Farming Wars is underway, which will be playable in the near future and will expand the ecosystem even further with new NFTs and new game dynamics.

The ecosystem of Hashkings is very wide and there would be many other aspects to write about such as the staking of BUDS tokens, second level rewards linked to XP points... but the purpose of this post is to provide step by step guides that can be a possible starting point for the new player approaching Hashkings for the first time and seeing so many tokens, so many games and so many features might feel a bit disoriented.
