How to convert HBD to HIVE

Hello friends, A few days ago a friend on Discord asked me: How do I convert my HDBs to HIVE?

This is a question that has been asked to me several times in particular by new Hive users. In fact, an operation that for users who have been on Hive for a long time can be very simple, for newcomers it can be at least initially complicated.

For this reason I thought of making a small and simple guide to show how to convert HDB to HIVE from:

Esteem (Desktop version)

My intent is to have a post, written by me or another user, that provides help and answers to the most frequently asked questions.

Ok let's start :)

Wallet section of https://hive.blog/

The fastest way to convert a certain amount of HBD to HIVE is from the Market section of Hive Wallet.

It's really very simple and I show you the steps to follow.

1. Open your browser and in the address bar enter the following address: https://wallet.hive.blog/market

*** **2.** In the screen that you will see you will have to click on **Login** as indicated by the arrow in the following image. *** a copia.jpg

*** **3.** In the next screen you must enter your Hive account data (Username) and then click on **Login**. If you have installed the **Hive Keychain** extension, just enter your Username. I highly recommend using **Hive Keychain**. If you have not installed **Hive Keychain** you must manually enter your **Private Posting Key**.

4. Go to the section BUY HIVE and 1. enter the quantity of HIVE you want to buy and 2. click on the button with the inscription BUY HIVE.

5 If you have installed Hive KeyChain, all you have to do is click OK on the next screen.

*** and then click on **CONFIRM** as indicated by the arrow in the next image. ***

*** If you don't use Hive Keychain you will need to enter your **Private Active Key** to complete the conversion operation. ***

PeakD Wallet Section

You can also convert your HDBs to HIVE from the Wallet section of the site: https://peakd.com/

Here are the simple steps to follow:

1. Login on https://peakd.com/ 2. Click on Wallet as indicated by the arrow in the following image

*** **3.** Click on **Convert to HIVE** as indicated by the arrow in the following image. ***

*** **4.** In the next screen: **1.** enter the quantity of HIVE you want to buy and **2.** click on the button with the wording **CONTINUE**. ***

*** # Esteem Wallet Section (Desktop version) *** You can also convert your HDB to HIVE from Esteem's Wallet section.

Here are the simple steps to follow:

1. Login to Esteem 2. Click on the word Wallet as indicated by the arrow in the following image

*** **3.** Click on the word **Convert** as indicated by the arrow (2) in the following image *** 2 copia.jpg

*** **4.** In the next screen: **1.** enter the quantity of HDB you want to convert **2.** click on the button with the word **NEXT**. ***

*** **5.** Click on **Confirm** on the next screen. ***

*** **6.** Finally you will receive the following message ***

Conclusion

All three methods are simple to perform. If you use the Hive.Blog Market you will convert your HDBs quickly. If you use PeakD or Esteem you will have to wait 3.5 days. When the value of 1 HDB is greater than $ 1 it is not recommended to use PeakD or Esteem.
