Hello friends,
The last season of Splinterlands has just ended.
It was a satisfying season because for the second time I entered the maximum league of Splinterlands: **Champion I**.
Congratulations also to my two dear companions of Gilda EDSF, the habitual @mad-runner Champion and the good @poliwalt10 who, like me, hit the maximum seasonal goal.
That just passed was also the season in which I obtained my personal Rating record: 4768.
But now let's move on to the main topic of my post: the Collection Power.
Collection Power
From this season there is the novelty of the introduction of the Collection Power requirement.
The Battle section of the Splinterlands website was updated today September 1, 2020.
In order to enter the Gold I league I need to pass the 200000 Power Points and therefore I am still missing 780 Power Points.
Nineteen days ago my Collection Power indicator had a value of 183020.
Today my Collection Power has a value of 199220.
Let's do some calculations:
199220 - 183020 = 16200
In 19 days my Collection Power increased by 16200. On average it increased by 852.63 per day.
Should this daily increase remain so, it would take 352.76 days (300780 / 852.63) to exceed the 500000 threshold.
Actually, the number of days needed will certainly be greater because if I finish the season in the Gold I league instead of in the Champion I league I will receive a smaller number of chests and consequently I will receive fewer cards.
The introduction of the new rankings and related rewards could improve and speed up my climb.
How to increase the value of Collection Power?
There are two main ways to increase the value of Collection Power:
- Investing in the purchase of cards.
- Pick up the necessary paperwork from the Peakmonsters website.
Invest in the purchase of cards
This is the fastest but also the most expensive method.
You must carefully evaluate the purchase of cards considering three factors:
- the price on the market
- the value of conversion to DEC
- the utility in battle
Take for example the legendary card Zalran Efreet
If we buy the legendary Gloridax Guardian card instead.

To earn a **300000** value of Collection Power that would allow me to return to the Champion I league, I would have to buy **300 cards** (300000 / 1000) and spend about **210 $** (0.70$*300).
To get the same result I spend **10 $** more.
Buying so many cards of the same type doesn't make much sense but I did this example to show how the Collection Power totally changes the way to invest compared to the past.
Before it was the usefulness of a card in battle the main factor that had to be taken into account.
Possibilities Optimizations
Depending on the cards you have, you can make a series of "optimizations" to increase your Power Collection.
If I, for example, have two Sea Genie Gold Version. Each Sea Genie (Gold) has a market value of 0.87 $ and a DEC conversion value of 750.
If I sell two Sea Genie I get 1.74 $ and lose 1500 Power points. If I use the money from the sale of Sea Genie to buy Fineas Rage Gold Version, I spend 1.42 $.
Peakmonsters and purchase offers (BID)
Another way to save money on purchasing cards while trying to increase the value of Collection Power is to use the Peakmonsters marketplace to make purchase offers below market price.
To make an offer to buy (BID) you need to click on Market on the website: https://peakmonsters.com/.
Once you choose the card you want to buy, you have to click on the blue button with the words BID.
You must authorize Peakmonsters by entering your Private Posting Key (I recommend using Hive Keychain)
You have to enter the price and quantity of the card you want to buy and finally you have to click on the button with the words CONFIRM.
To rent a card just click on the button with the words RENT
- 0.002 $ per day (Daily Cost)
- 0.002 $ as penalty only if you terminate the lease before the expiration of the 14 days (Escrow Price)

Ciao amici, è da poco terminata l'ultima stagione di Splinterlands. E' stata una stagione soddisfacente perchè per la seconda volta sono riuscito ad entrare nella lega massima di Splinterlands: Champion I.
Complimenti anche ai miei due cari compagni di Gilda, l'ormai abitudinario Campione @mad-runner e il bravo @poliwalt10 che come me hanno centrato l'obbiettivo stagionale massimo.
Quella appena trascorsa è stata anche la stagione in cui ho ottenuto il mio personale record di punteggio di Rating: 4768.
Ma adesso passiamo all'argomento principale del mio post: il Collection Power.
Collection Power
Da questa stagione c'è la novità dell'introduzione del requisito del Collection Power.
La sezione Battle del sito di Splinterlands è stata aggiornata oggi 1 Settembre 2020.
Io per accedere alla lega Gold I ho bisogno di superare i 200000 Punti Power e quindi mi mancano ancora 780 punti Power.
Diciannove giorni fa il mio indicatore del Collection Power aveva un valore di 183020.
Oggi il mio Collection Power ha un valore di 199220.
Facciamo un pò di calcoli:
199220 - 183020 = 16200
In 19 giorni il mio Collection Power è aumentato di 16200. In media è aumentato di un valore di 852.63 al giorno.
Se questo incremento giornaliero dovesse rimanere tale, per superare la soglia dei 500000 ci vorrebbero 352.76 giorni (300780 / 852.63).
In realtà i giorni necessari saranno sicuramente in numero maggiore perchè terminando la stagione nella lega Gold I invece che nella lega Champion I riceverò un numero di forzieri minore e di conseguenza riceverò meno carte.
L'introduzione delle nuove classifiche e relative ricompense potrebbe migliorare e accellerare la mia scalata.
Come aumentare il valore del Collection Power?
Esistono due strade principali per aumentare il valore del Collection Power:
- Investire nell'acquisto di carte
- Prendere in fitto le carte necessarie dal sito di Peakmonsters
Investire nell'acquisto di carte
Questo è il metodo più veloce ma è anche il metodo più costoso.
Bisogna valutare con attenzione l'acquisto delle carte considerando tre fattori:
- il prezzo sul mercato
- il valore in DEC
- l'utilità in battaglia
Prendiamo ad esempio la carta leggendaria Zalran Efreet
Per guadagnare un valore di 300000 di Collection Power che mi permetterebbe di tornare nella lega Champion I, dovrei acquistare 200 carte (300000 / 1500) e spendere circa 200 $ (1$*200).
Se prendiamo invece la carta leggendaria Gloridax Guardian

Per guadagnare un valore di **300000** di Collection Power che mi permetterebbe di tornare nella lega Champion I, dovrei acquistare **300 carte** (300000 / 1000) e spendere circa **210 $** (0.70$ * 300).
Per ottenere lo stesso risultato spendo **10 $** in più.
Comprare tante carte dello stesso tipo non ha molto senso ma ho fatto questo esempio per far capire come il Collection Power cambia totalmente il modo di investire rispetto al passato.
Prima era l'utilità di una carta in battaglia il fattore principale che doveva essere preso in considerazione.
Possibili Ottimizzazioni
In base alle carte che si possiedono è possibile fare una serie di "ottimizzazioni" per aumentare il proprio Collection Power.
Se io, ad esempio, ho due Sea Genie Gold Version. Ogni Sea Genie (Gold) ha un valore sul mercato di 0.87 $ e un valore in DEC di 750

Poichè Fineas Rage ha un valore di conversione in DEC di 2000, ottengo una differenza positiva in $ (1.74 - 1.42 = 0.32) e un aumento del mio collection power di + 500 (2000 - 1500).

Questo è un esempio di ottimizzazione che permette di aumentare il proprio indicatore Power.
Peakmonsters e le offerte di acquisto (BID)
Un'altro modo per risparmiare sull'acquisto delle carte mentre si cerca di aumentare il valore del Collection Power è utilizzare il mercato di Peakmonsters per fare delle offerte di aquisto inferiori al prezzo di mercato (BID).
Per fare una offerta di acquisto (BID) devi cliccare sulla scritta Market all'interno del sito: https://peakmonsters.com/
Scelta la carta che vuoi comprare, devi cliccare sul bottone blu con la scritta BID.
Devi inserire il prezzo e la quantità della carta che vuoi acquistare e infine devi cliccare sul bottone con la scritta CONFIRM.
Per prendere in fitto una carta basta cliccare sul bottone con la scritta RENT
- 0.002 $ al giorno (Daily Cost)
- 0.002 $ come penale solo se terminerai il contratto di fitto prima dello scadere dei quattordici giorni (Escrow Price)
