Hello friends, In August, when the new DICE card collection came out, I decided to buy 20 DICE packages (+1 Bonus). I used the DEC tokens I had in my game wallet and spent a total of 58200 DEC

*** My favorite way to buy Splinterlands cards is to make BID purchase offers on the market using the website: https://peakmonsters.com/. I don't like buying packages because they have an expected negative return compared to the amount invested. Of course you can bet on luck but I'm not the type who relies on luck.

This time, however, I decided to invest in the DICE packages because:

• The number of packages available is relatively low.
• There are a number of interesting new evokers. Among other things, summoners are the cards that generally maintain or increase their value.
• Selling cards that still have few cards in circulation is much easier when they are just released.

So far I have opened 18 DICE packs. I have 3 packages that I have not opened yet because I am waiting to find in the trunks of the daily missions a number of potions equal to the number of cards in the Dice packages.

The packages should always be opened when you have the right number of potions available! In fact potions double the probability of finding Gold and Legendary cards.

To calculate the dollar value of **58200 DEC** I must first check the value of the tokens DEC on **Hive Engine** (Highest Bid). *** *** Today September 10, 2020 the best bid for **1 DEC** is **0.00314 HIVE**. *** *** I spent a total of **33.8 $ (= 182,748 HIVE)** . *** In the first **17 packages** I found **85 cards** whose total value (using market prices) is: **17.51 $**.

I spent 33.8 $ and in 17/21 packages I got a value of 17.51 $

**17.51 $ - 33.8 $ = - 16.3 $** **This is why I don't buy packs!** But yesterday, after finding an adequate number of potions, I call my daughter Chiara to open a pack of Dice cards. I never open the packs because my daughter has fun and wants to open them herself.

Sure I don't find anything important, as it happened in the opening of the previous packs, I got distracted until I hear a sound that only Splinterlands players can recognize and hear miles away...it's not just any sound but it's a legendary sound! :)

I look at the cards and...

A card that I really like very much. *** ### Description, Statistics and Skills *** **Poseidon (Gold)** is a card from the collection **Dice**, it's a card **Leggendary** and it's a card from the element **Water**.

It has the following statistics:

• It has a high mana cost (9)
• It has a very good attack: 4 points of attack (Ranged Attack)
• It has 8 waist points and has no armor points.
• Has average speed (3)
• It has two skills: Shield and Blast. By the way the Blast ability is one of my favorite abilities.

When you receive a card that has value, the dilemma is always the same: keep or sell?

The first option is to sell but ...

Before the introduction of the Collection Power indicator, I would not have thought twice about it and would have immediately sold the card. Even now, the first option is to sell. I could put a lower price than the lowest selling price and see if anyone buys it. With the profit I could buy gold cards at a lower price and reach a collection power of at least 75,000 instead of Poseidon's 50,000. I haven't decided to sell it yet because it's a card that I like and that I would definitely use in battles with a lot of mana available and with particular battle rules. Another consideration is the price. There are only 22 Poseidons in circulation and when the number increases, the price will most likely drop.

I'm still considering what to do.

**And what would you do in my place? What do you advise me to do?**

Ciao amici, nel mese di Agosto, quando è uscita la nuova collezione di carte DICE ho deciso di comprare 20 pacchetti DICE (+1 Bonus). Ho utilizzato i token DEC che avevo nel mio wallet di gioco e ho speso un totale di 58200 DEC

*** La mia modalità preferita di acquisto delle carte di Splinterlands è fare offerte di acquisto BID sul mercato utilizzando il sito: https://peakmonsters.com/. Non mi piace comprare i pacchetti perchè hanno un ritorno atteso negativo rispetto alla cifra investita. Ovviamente si può puntare sulla fortuna ma io non sono il tipo che si affida alla fortuna.

Questa volta però ho deciso di investire sui pacchetti DICE perchè:

• Il numero dei pacchetti disponibile è relativamente basso.
• Ci sono diversi e nuovi evocatori interessanti. Tra l'altro gli evocatori sono le carte che generalmente mantengono o aumentano il loro valore.
• Vendere carte che hanno ancora pochi esemplari in circolazione è molto più facile quando sono appena uscite.

Fino ad ora ho aperto 18 pacchetti DICE. Ho 3 pacchetti che non ho ancora aperto perchè aspetto di trovare nei bauli delle missioni giornaliere un numero di pozioni uguale al numero delle carte presenti nei pacchetti Dice che devo aprire.

I pacchetti vanno sempre aperti quando si ha il giusto numero di pozioni disponibili! Infatti le pozioni raddoppiano la probabilità di trovare carte Gold e Leggendarie.

**17.51 $ - 33.8 $ = - 16.3 $** **Ecco il motivo per cui non compro i pacchetti!**

Eppure ieri, dopo aver raggiunto un numero di pozioni adeguato, chiamo mia figlia Chiara per aprire un pacchetto Dice. Io non apro mai i pacchetti perchè mia figlia si diverte e vuole aprirli lei.

Sicuro di non trovare niente di importante, come è avvenuto nell'apertura dei precedenti pacchetti, mi distraggo fin quando non sento un suono che solo i giocatori di Splinterlands possono riconoscere e sentire a chilometri di distanza...non è un suono qualsiasi ma è un suono leggendario! :)

Poseidon (Gold) è una carta della collezione Dice, è una carta Leggendaria ed è una carta dell'elemento Water.

Ha le seguenti statistiche:

• Ha un costo in mana alto (9)
• Ha un ottimo attacco: 4 punti di attacco (Ranged Attack)
• Ha 8 punti vita e non ha punti armatura.
• Ha una velocità media (3)

Il costo di Poseidon (Gold) più basso sul mercato è di **64 $** (10 Settembre 2020) *** *** Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere le statistiche complete della carta Poseidon: *** *** Grazie al suo valore di conversione in DEC di 50000 il mio Collection Power subisce un bel incremento. *** *** Adesso sono nella lega Diamante III. *** *** # Tenere o Vendere? *** Quando ricevi una carta che ha valore il dilemma è sempre lo stesso: **tenere o vendere**? *** ### La prima opzione è vendere ma... *** Prima dell'introduzione dell'indicatore del Collection Power non ci avrei pensato due volte e avrei subito venduto la carta. Anche adesso però, la prima opzione è vendere. Potrei mettere un prezzo inferiore al prezzo di vendita più basso e vedere se qualcuno la compra. Con il ricavato potrei comprare carte gold di prezzo inferiore e arrivare ad un collection power di almeno 75000 invece dei 50000 di Poseidon. Non ho ancora deciso di venderla perchè è una carta che mi piace e che sicuramente utilizzerei nelle battaglie con tanti mana a disposizione e con particolari regole di battaglia. Altra considerazione da fare è sul prezzo. Ci sono solo 22 Poseidon in circolazione e quando il numero aumenterà con molta probabilità scenderà anche il prezzo.

Sto ancora valutando cosa fare.
