Dcrops is the latest blockchain based game that I have decided to play. It's an alpha version game and it's a farming game.
If this is your first time hearing about the Dcrops game I'll briefly explain what it is.
Dcrops (https://www.dcrops.com/) is a blockchain-based farming simulation game developed on the Hive blockchain.
The operation of the game is very simple:
- you have to buy land in which you have to plant seeds
- from seeds grow plants that produce fruits
- the fruits can be sold in exchange for "Share" points that allow you to participate in a seasonal ranking that has a duration of fifteen days.
- Players according to the placement in the seasonal ranking receive the tokens native to the game that are called CROPS.
The land and seeds are the NFTs of the game of dcrops. As in the real world, there are 4 seasons in the game of dCrops (Summer, Spring, Fall and Winter) which are only 15 days long. Land cards can be used in any season while seed cards can only be used in a specific season. The fruits obtained from cultivation can be sold in exchange for Share points.
My second Dcrops report
A few days ago the fourth season of Dcrops ended: winter. I skipped the first season and I started to play from the second season, which was a test season with a ranking with reduced rewards. In this last season I bought:
- 8 Peas seeds
- 19 Radish seeds
I spent a total of 14.463 HIVE
I bought the seed cards from the internal market of Dcrops and my purchase allowed me to use all the land cards at my disposal.
At the beginning of the winter season my balance was 561 CROP
At the end of the winter season my balance increased due to the ranking prize: 2537,495 token CROP
In the winter season I earned 1976.09 CROP tokens which based on the current value of CROP tokens on Hive Engine equates to the value of 4,1496 HIVE.
The total value of the rewards I've gotten so far is 5.32 HIVE (2537 CROP)
Now let's do some calculations.
Two months ago I bought 10 packs of cards and spent 18,574 HIVE
The total cost of the investment I have made so far is given by the following sum: 18,754 + 14,463 = 33,217 HIVES.
I have invested 33,217 HIVE and received 5.32 HIVE in rewards. To reach the Break Even point I need to receive 27.90 HIVE of rewards.
At this stage reaching the Break Even point is not important because in the next seasons I will continue to invest and continue to buy seed cards.
In fact at the moment I have only 8 usable seeds for the current season (summer) and I have 16 empty plots.
Tomorrow I will evaluate the purchase of seed cards from the internal market of Dcrop and try to use all the plots in my possession.
Will Dcrops be a good investment?
It is not yet possible to answer this question because the game is still too "young". I consider Farming games to be investments rather than games. Every investment always has a risk factor to be considered and evaluated.
Dcrops will be a good investment if many players decide to play and invest in buying CROP cards and tokens.

Se è la prima volta che senti parlare del gioco di Dcrops ti spiego in breve cos'è.
Dcrops (https://www.dcrops.com/) è un gioco di simulazione agricola basato su blockchain sviluppato sulla blockchain di Hive.
Il funzionamento del gioco è molto semplice:
- devi comprare dei terreni nei quali devi piantare dei semi
- dai semi nascono delle piante che producono dei frutti
- i frutti possono essere venduti in cambio di punti "Share" che permettono di partecipare ad una classifica stagionale che ha una durata di quindici giorni.
- i giocatori in base al piazzamento nella classifica stagionale ricevono i token nativi del gioco che si chiamano CROPS.
I terreni e i semi sono gli NFT del gioco di dcrops. Come nel mondo reale, nel gioco di dCrops ci sono 4 stagioni (estate, primavera, autunno e inverno) che hanno una durata di soli 15 giorni. Le carte terreno (Land) possono essere usate in ogni stagione mentre le carte seme (SEED) possono essere usate soltanto in una stagione specifica. I frutti ottenuti dalla coltivazione possono essere venduti in cambio di punti Share.
Il mio secondo report di Dcrops
Da pochi giorni si è conclusa la quarta stagione di Dcrops: l'inverno. Ho saltato la prima stagione e ho iniziato a giocare dalla seconda stagione che però era una stagione di test con una classifica con premi ridotti. In quest'ultima stagione ho comprato:
- 8 semi Peas
- 19 semi Radish
Ho speso in totale 14.463 HIVE
Ho acquistato le carte seme dal mercato interno di Dcrops e il mio acquisto mi ha permesso di utilizzare tutti le carte terreno a mia disposizione.
All'inizio della stagione invernale il mio bilancio era di 561 CROP
Alla fine della stagione invernale il mio bilancio è aumentato per effetto del premio della classifica: 2537.495 token CROP
Nella stagione invernale ho guadagnato 1976.09 token CROP che in base al valore attuale dei token CROP su Hive Engine equivalgono al valore di 4.1496 HIVE.
Il valore totale delle ricompense che ho ottenuto fino ad ora è di 5.32 HIVE (2537 CROP)
Adesso facciamo un pò di calcoli.
Due mesi fa ho comprato 10 pacchi di carte e ho speso 18.574 HIVE
Il costo totale dell'investimento che ho sostenuto fino ad oggi è dato dalla seguente somma: 18.754 + 14.463 = 33.217 HIVE
Ho investito 33.217 HIVE e ho ricevuto 5.32 HIVE di ricompense. Per raggiungere il punto di Break Even devo ricevere ancora 27.90 HIVE di ricompense.
In questa fase raggiungere il punto di Break Even non è importante perchè nelle prossime stagioni continuerò ad investire e continuerò a comprare carte semi.
Infatti al momento ho solo 8 semi utilizzabili per la stagione in corso (estate) e ho 16 plots vuoti.
Domani valuterò l'acquisto di carte seme dal mercato interno di Dcrop e cercherò di utilizzare tutti i terreni in mio possesso.
Dcrops sarà un buon investimento?
Non è ancora possibile rispondere a questa domanda perchè il gioco è ancora troppo "giovane". Considero i giochi di Farming degli investimenti più che dei giochi. Ogni investimento ha sempre un fattore di rischio da considerare e valutare.
Dcrops sarà un buon investimento se molti giocatori decideranno di giocare e di investire nell'acquisto di carte e token CROP
