We're just under two days away from the end of the current Splinterlands season, and today I want to share my strategy for the end of the Splinterlands season.

My end of season strategy is not a fixed strategy but it is a dynamic strategy that mainly depends on the following elements:

• value of DEC tokens
• amount of DEC tokens I receive from each battle won
• average cost of renting useful cards in battle
• estimated value of end-of-season recomepense: chests.

My starting point

At the time of writing this post my situation in the game of Splinterlands is as follows:

• I have a rating score of 2637 points
• I have a power score of 213600 points.

Each Splinterlands league has two entry requirements:

• a minimum rating score to pass
• a minimum Power Score to pass

With my current power score and rating score I am in Gold I league. If I remain in Gold I league until the end of the season I will receive:

• as a reward for completing daily quests: 8 chests per day.
• as end of season reward: 30 chests.

If I advance in the Diamond III league before the end of the season I will receive:

• as a reward for completing daily quests: 10 chests per day.
• as end of season reward: 40 chests.

Advancing to the next league (Diamond III) would allow me to receive a total of 14 more chests:

• +4 chests (from the two daily rewards before the end of the season).
• +10 chests (from the end of season reward for the Diamond III league)

The requirements to enter the Diamond III league are:

• a rating score greater than 2800 points
• a power score higher than 250000 points.

To increase my rating score I have to win battles and therefore I have to use time as my main resource. To increase the power score there are two possible options:

• remove from the market cards put on sale or made available for rental
• rent cards from other players

Both options listed above have a cost:

• the first option requires a renunciation of possible revenues from the sale and/or rental of your cards
• the second option require you to spend DEC tokens in order to rent cards from other players.

My choice to stop in my current league or advance to the next league depends primarily on the estimated value of the additional chests I might receive as a reward if I advance to the next league.

Estimated value of chests

So the first step is to know the estimated value of a chest.

Chests can contain 3 types of rewards: potions, DEC tokens and Cards (NFT) and for this reason the value of a chest is not a certain value but it is an estimated value. Thanks to @tehox and his useful site https://www.splintercards.com/tool-lootchest.html it is possible to easily know the estimated value of a chest.

According to the calculations of the Splintercards website the estimated value of a chest is 53 DEC tokens whose dollar value is $0.393.

If I advance from the Gold I league to the DIAMOND III league I will get 14 more chests and thus have an estimated additional profit of 742 DEC tokens = $5,502.

This value is very important because it will guide me in planning my end of season strategy.

If I spend more than 742 DEC tokens to increase my Power and Rating score I will have made a negative expected profit choice. If I spend exactly 742 DEC tokens to increase my Power Score and Rating Score I will have made a expected profit = 0 choice. If I spend less than 742 DEC tokens my choice will be a positive expected profit choice.

My end-of-season strategy

My strategic choice this season finale is to proceed in steps and repeat the following two steps cyclically:

• First Step: I will attempt to increase my rating score in order to meet the first requirement to enter the next league.
• Second Step: Satisfied the rating score requirement I will increase my power score by renting cards from other players, but only if the cost is less than or equal to half the estimated value of the additional reward I will receive if I advance to the next league, otherwise I will stop.

The advice I want to give especially to new players is to rent only if the rewards easily obtainable by renting have a value (estimated or certain) higher than the cost of renting.

Conclusion

Last season I stopped in Diamond III league and did not rent cards in the last two days of the season because the cost of renting cards would have exceeded the estimated value of the additional rewards if I had advanced to Diamond II league.

This season the cost of renting many useful cards in battle has decreased from the previous season but is still quite high relative to even the current value of DEC tokens.

If the rental costs are reasonable on the last day of the season I will go into card rental and try to scale the leagues.

Will I stay in Gold I league or will I at least make it to Diamond I league? I'll only find out in a little over a day and if you're curious to see if my strategy worked or not follow me to find out in my next post.

Mancano poco meno di due giorni alla fine della stagione in corso di Splinterlands e oggi voglio condividere la mia strategia per la fine stagione di Splinterlands.

La mia strategia di fine stagione non è una strategia fissa ma è una strategia dinamica che dipende principalmente dai seguenti elementi:

• valore dei token DEC
• quantità di token DEC che ricevo da ogni battaglia vinta
• costo medio del noleggio delle carte utili in battaglia.
• valore stimato delle ricomepense di fine stagione: i forzieri.

Il mio punto di partenza

Nel momento in cui scrivo questo post la mia situazione nel gioco di Splinterlands è la seguente:

• ho un punteggio di rating di 2637 punti
• ho un punteggio power di 213600 punti

Ogni lega di Splinterlands ha due requisiti di accesso:

• un punteggio di rating minimo da superare
• un punteggio Power minimo da superare

Con il mio punteggio power e il mio punteggio di rating attuale mi trovo in lega Gold I. Se rimarrò in lega Gold I fino alla fine della stagione riceverò:

• come ricompensa per il completamento delle missioni giornaliere: 8 forzieri al giorno.
• come ricompensa di fine stagione: 30 forzieri.

Se avanzo in lega Diamond III prima della fine della stagione riceverò:

• come ricompensa per il completamento delle missioni giornaliere: 10 forzieri al giorno.
• come ricompensa di fine stagione: 40 forzieri.

Avanzare nella lega successiva (Diamond III) mi permetterebbe di ricevere un totale di 14 forzieri in più:

• +4 forzieri (dalle due ricompense giornaliere prima della fine della stagione)
• +10 forzieri (dalla ricompensa di fine stagione per la lega Diamond III)

I requisiti per accedere alla lega Diamond III sono:

• un punteggio di rating superiore a 2800 punti
• un punteggio power superiore a 250000 punti

Per aumentare il mio punteggio di rating devo vincere le battaglie e quindi devo impiegare come risorsa principale il tempo. Per aumentare il punteggio power le opzioni possibili sono due:

• togliere dal mercato carte messe in vendita o rese disponibili per il noleggio
• noleggiare carte da altri giocatori

Entrambe le opzioni elencate sopra hanno un costo:

• la prima opzione richiede una rinuncia a possibili ricavi dalla vendita e/o dal noleggio delle proprie carte
• la seconda opzione richiedere di spendere dei token DEC per poter prendere a noleggio le carte da altri giocatori.

La mia scelta di fermarmi nella lega attuale o di avanzare nella lega successiva dipende principalmente dal valore stimato dei forzieri aggiuntivi che potrei ricevere come ricompensa se avanzo nella lega successiva.

Valore Stimato dei Forzieri

Quindi il primo passo è conoscere il valore stimato di un forziere.

I forzieri possono contenere 3 tipi di premi: pozioni, token DEC e Carte (NFT) e per questo motivo il valore di un forziere non è un valore certo ma è un valore stimato. Grazie a @tehox e al suo utile sito https://www.splintercards.com/tool-lootchest.html è possibile conoscere facilmente il valore stimato di un forziere.

In base ai calcoli del sito di Splintercards il valore stimato di un forziere è di 53 token DEC il cui valore in dollari è di 0.393$.

Se avanzo dalla lega Gold I alla lega DIAMOND III otterrò 14 forzieri in più e quindi avrò un profitto stimato aggiuntivo di 742 token DEC = 5.502$.

Questo valore è molto importante perchè mi guiderà nella pianificazione della mia strategia di fine stagione.

Se per aumentare il mio punteggio Power e il mio punteggio di rating spenderò più di 742 token DEC avrò fatto una scelta a profitto atteso negativo. Se per aumentare il mio punteggio Power e il mio punteggio di rating spenderò esettamente 742 token DEC avrò fatto una scelta a profitto atteso = 0. Se spenderò meno di 742 token DEC la mia scelta sarà una scelta a profitto atteso positivo.

La mia strategia di fine stagione

La mia scelta strategica di questo finale di stagione è di procedere per gradi e ripetere i seguenti due passi ciclicamente:

• Primo Passo: cercherò di aumentare il mio punteggio di rating per soddisfare il primo requisito di accesso alla lega successiva.
• Secondo Passo: soddisfatto il requisito relativo al punteggio di rating aumenterò il mio punteggio power prendendo in noleggio carte da altri giocatori ma solo se il costo necessario da sostenere sarà inferiore o uguale alla metà del valore stimato della ricompensa aggiuntiva che riceverò se avanzo nella lega successiva nel caso contrario mi fermerò.

Noleggiare o non noleggiare?

Il consiglio che voglio dare sopratutto ai nuovi giocatori è di ricorrere al noleggio solo se le ricompense facilmente ottenibili grazie al noleggio hanno un valore (stimato o certo) superiore al costo da sostenere per effettuare il noleggio.

Conclusione

Nella scorsa stagione mi sono fermato in lega Diamond III e non ho noleggiato carte negli ultimi due giorni della stagione perchè il costo del noleggio delle carte avrebbe superato il valore stimato delle ricompense aggiuntive se fossi avanzato in lega Diamond II.

In questa stagione il costo del noleggio di molte carte utili in battaglia è diminuito rispetto alla stagione precedente ma è ancora abbastanza alto in relazione anche al valore attuale dei token DEC.

Rimarrò in lega Gold I o riuscirò ad arrivare almeno in lega Diamond I?
