My Hive Goals and My Road From Dolphin to Orca + My HIVE Power UP! (ENG/ITA)

Today is March 1, 2023, and in four days it will be my fourth Hive anniversary. It was March 5, 2019 when I discovered Hive and it was almost love at first sight. Of course in the beginning I had some difficulty understanding the various mechanisms related to wallet management, the terms DPOS, HP, HBD, Power Up, etc. etc. but I always found people willing to give advice or help. I still remember my first readings of @fedesox's posts where I understood less than half of the terms he used but at the same time every term I didn't understand was a stimulus to learn more about a decentralized world that I didn't know but was very fascinated by.

When I joined Hive the social part was an important part of Hive if not the main part.

Today Hive is much but much more and the social part is only a part of Hive. On Hive there is never to be bored because every day there are interesting posts to read or there is an interesting new project to discover and evaluate.

Today I use so many features of Hive because Hive really has so many utilities.

On Hive:

• I write and publish content in total freedom knowing that what I publish cannot be censored or blocked in any way.
• I interact with other users and am subscribed to many beautiful communities
• I am involved in several projects as a moderator, curator, operator or simple investor and/or user
• I am an active player on 10 games built and developed on Hive where I am the full owner of the assets I have purchased or obtained from my gaming activity (NFTs and tokens)
• I am a small investor in gaming projects not yet playable and under development
• I am a holder of many of Hive's second-level tokens
• I am a liquidity provider in several Diesel Pools (Hive's liquidity pools)
• ...

All of the activities I have listed above represent just some of the utilities that Hive has that are related to the activities I enjoy doing on Hive but there are many other utilities as well.

In almost four years I have never lost the stimulus to be active on Hive, there have been times when I have been very busy work-wise and have interacted less but I have always enjoyed writing, interacting, playing on Splinterlands and other games and reading other hivers' posts.

If I look around within the blockchain project landscape I cannot find a project similar to Hive and especially I cannot find a blockchain project that has all the utilities that Hive has and that is why I am still here today setting goals and sharing my progress towards the growth goals I have set for myself on Hive.

My main goal on Hive has always been and still is to increase my Hive Power and that is why in four years I have never done a Power Down.

On Hive I would like very much to achieve Orca status.

The status of Orca is a status associated with a quantity of HP that is not fixed but dynamic because it increases with the passage of time.

Looking at the ranking on https://hivebuzz.me/ranking the first Hive user who has Orca status above Dolphin with the most HP is @katharsisdrill who has a Hive Power of 55960 HP.

Today March 1, 2023 I have in my Hive wallet an amount of 33293.55 Hive Power (HP).

I have constructed a table to track my monthly progress toward Orca status and to self-motivate me at the beginning of each month.

As you can see from the data in the sixth column of the table below, I still need to accumulate 22666.44 HP to reach my goal and I am at 59.50% as my completion percentage.

The month of February although 28 days long was a much more positive month than January because I increased my Hive Power by 993.38 HP compared to the previous month's increase of 622.03 HP.

This result was mainly due to:

• the rewards of the 19 posts that I published in the month of February
• the Power Up I made on February 1: 400 HP

One of the secondary goals that I have been trying to achieve for a long time and that I use to self-motivate myself is to manage to publish one post a day in an entire month.

Even in the month of February I did not achieve this goal but I am happy anyway because I achieved my record of publishing in the last 7 months.

• August 2022: 10 published posts
• September 2022: 16 published posts
• October 2022: 17 published posts
• November 2022: 13 published posts
• December 2022: 15 published posts
• January 2023: 16 published posts
• February 2023: 19 published posts

The consistency in publishing content is one of the keys to success on Hive but there is one element that is even more important: interaction.

The first of each month is the day I check my level of interaction on Hive for which I set an annual goal that I would like to achieve.

• My 2023 Engagement Goal (total number of comments): 25000

On February 1, 2023 I had written a total of 18810 comments. Today, March 1, 2023, the total is 19250 comments.

In January I wrote 440 comments which is not a good result based on my yearly interaction goal and so in March I need to interact more hoping that my real life work commitments will allow me to do so.

I would like to enter the top 350 users on Hive with the most HP and in the month of February I moved up a little bit from position 444 (February 1, 2023) to position 436 today, March 1.

Hive Power Up Day!

On Hive every first of the month is Hive Power Up Day (HPUD) and every month I always try to participate in this nice initiative.

During 2022 I participated 9 out of 12 times in the HPUD initiative but in 2023 I want to do 12 out of 12!

On February 1 I did a Power Up of 400 HP today I did a Power Up of 150 HP.

If you, like me, believe in the potential of the Hive blockchain and have a medium to long term vision you should participate every first of the month in the HIVE Power Up Day which is a nice initiative.

## Are you not a Hive user?

If you are not a Hive user and don't know the world of blockchains you have two options:

You can continue to be a simple number, a simple source of data and wealth for centralized projects like Facebook & Co. without receiving anything or almost anything in return.

You can choose to be free, you can choose to have full ownership of your data and content and you can start your adventure on Hive.

The Hive blockchain is more Unique than Rare!

What makes Hive's blockchain more unique than rare are its peculiarities:

• Hive is a Delegate Proof of Stake (DPOS) blockchain on which a large ecosystem of sites, projects and communities "lives".
• Hive is completely decentralized
• Hive is very fast: 3 second block speeds.
• Hive has no transaction costs
• Hive has many utilities and features
• Hive has a big and beautiful community

Oggi è il 1 marzo 2023 e fra quattro giorni sarà il mio quarto Hive anniversario. Era il 5 marzo 2019 quando ho scoperto Hive ed è stato quasi un amore a prima vista. Certo all'inizio ho avuto qualche difficoltà a capire i vari meccanismi collegati alla gestione del wallet, i termini DPOS, HP, HBD, Power Up, ecc. ecc. ma ho sempre trovato persone disponibili a dare un consiglio o un aiuto. Ricordo ancora le mie prime letture dei post di @fedesox dove capivo meno della metà dei termini che usava ma allo stesso tempo ogni termine che non capivo era uno stimolo per approfondire la conoscenza di un mondo decentralizzato che non conoscevo ma mi affascinava molto.

Quando mi sono iscritto su Hive la parte social era una parte importante di Hive se non la principale.

Oggi Hive è molto ma molto di più e la parte social è solo una parte di Hive. Su Hive non c'è mai da annoiarsi perchè ogni giorno ci sono post interessanti da leggere oppure c'è un nuovo progetto interessante da scoprire e valutare.

Oggi utilizzo tante funzionalità di Hive perchè Hive ha davvero tante utilità.

Su Hive:

• scrivo e pubblico contenuti in totale libertà sapendo che quello che pubblico non può essere in alcun modo censurato o bloccato
• interagisco con gli altri utenti e sono iscritto a tante belle comunità
• sono coinvolto in diversi progetti come moderatore, curatore, operatore o semplice investitore e/o utilizzatore
• sono un giocatore attivo su 10 giochi costruiti e sviluppati su Hive dove sono il pieno possessore degli assets che ho acquistato o ottenuto dalla mia attività di gioco (NFTs e tokens)
• sono un piccolo investitore in progetti di gaming non ancora giocabili e in fase di sviluppo
• sono un holder di molti token di secondo livello di Hive
• sono un liquidity provider in diverse Diesel Pools (le liquidity pools di Hive)

Tutte le attività che ho elencato sopra rappresentano solo alcune delle utilità che ha Hive e che sono collegate alle attività che mi piace svolgere su Hive ma ci sono anche tante altre utilità.

In quasi quattro anni non ho mai perso lo stimolo ad essere attivo su Hive, ci sono stati periodi in cui sono stato molto impegnato lavorativamente e ho interagito di meno ma mi sono sempre divertito a scrivere, interagire, giocare su Splinterlands e su altri giochi e a leggere i post degli altri hivers.

Se mi guardo intorno all'interno del panorama dei progetti blockchain non riesco a trovare un progetto simile ad Hive e soprattutto non riesco a trovare un progetto blockchain che ha tutte le utilità che ha Hive e per questo motivo oggi sono ancora qui a fissare obiettivi e a condividere i miei progressi verso gli obiettivi di crescita che mi sono posto su Hive.

Il mio obiettivo principale su Hive è sempre stato e lo è ancora oggi quello di aumentare il mio Hive Power e per questo motivo in quattro anni non ho mai fatto un Power Down.

Su Hive mi piacerebbe tanto raggiungere lo status di Orca.

Lo status di Orca è uno status associato ad un quantitativo di HP non fisso ma dinamico perchè aumenta con il passare del tempo.

Guardando il ranking del sito https://hivebuzz.me/ranking il primo utente di Hive che ha lo status di Orca sopra il Delfino con il maggior numero di HP è @katharsisdrill che ha un Hive Power di 55960 HP.

Oggi 1 marzo 2023 ho nel mio Hive wallet un quantitativo di 33293.55 Hive Power (HP).

Ho costruito una tabella per monitorare i miei progressi mensili verso lo status di Orca e per automotivarmi ad ogni inizio mese.

Come puoi vedere dai dati presenti nella sesta colonna della tabella seguente devo accumulare ancora 22666.44 HP per raggiungere il mio obiettivo e sono al 59.50% come percentuale di completamento.

Il mese di febbraio anche se di 28 giorni è stato un mese molto più positivo del mese di gennaio perchè ho aumentato il mio Hive Power di 993.38 HP rispetto all'aumento di 622.03 HP del mese precedente.

Questo risultato è dovuto principalmente:

• alle ricompense dei 19 posts che ho pubblicato nel mese di febbraio
• al Power Up che ho fatto il 1 febbraio: 400 HP

Uno degli obiettivi secondari che cerco di raggiungere da molto tempo e che uso per automotivarmi è quello di riuscire a pubblicare un post al giorno in un intero mese.

Anche nel mese di febbraio non ho raggiunto questo obiettivo ma sono contento lo stesso perchè ho raggiunto il mio record di pubblicazione degli ultimi 7 mesi.

• Agosto 2022: 10 post pubblicati
• Settembre 2022: 16 post pubblicati
• Ottobre 2022: 17 post pubblicati
• Novembre 2022: 13 post pubblicati
• Dicembre 2022: 15 post pubblicati
• Gennaio 2023: 16 post pubblicati
• Febbraio 2023: 19 post pubblicati

La costanza nella pubblicazione di contenuti è una delle chiavi per avere successo su Hive ma c'è un elemento che è ancora più importante: l'interazione.

Il primo di ogni mese è il giorno in cui controllo il mio livello di interazione su Hive per il quale ho fissato un obiettivo annuale che vorrei raggiungere.

• 2023 Engagement Goal (total number of comments): 25000

Il 1 febbraio 2023 avevo scritto un totale di 18810 commenti. Oggi 1 marzo 2023 il totale è di 19250 commenti.

Nel mese di gennaio ho scritto 440 commenti che non è un buon risultato in base al mio obiettivo di interazione annuale e quindi nel mese di marzo devo interagire di più sperando che gli impegni lavorativi della mia real life mi permettano di farlo.
