Nature imprisoned by man
I took the photo on the cover on 30 June 2019 during a short holiday in Sorrento with my family. As my family and I were walking to get to the hotel we had booked, I was immediately attracted by the image of this red window. From a distance it looked like a window like all the others, a bit battered but nothing interesting. When I got closer I saw that it was not a simple window but the opening of a particular "prison" for a poor plant abandoned by the man who once lived there. Unfortunately, nature is continually mistreated by us humans with cement creations that are often not used, and when we humans abandon a place, a habitation, we do not care about the living beings we leave in the abandoned place.
I have always been fascinated by abandoned places because every abandoned place is a place that contains questions that cannot be answered because there is no one left to answer them.
Not being able to have answers to these questions, the imagination comes into play and I am amused to imagine a possible story or a possible reason for this abandonment.
Nature has always given so much and continues to give so much to us men, but we men continue to take, take without worrying about protecting and respecting what is the mother of us all: Mother Nature. Global warming, polluted rivers and food poisoned by toxic substances are just some of the effects caused by the continuous egoism of human beings. Uncontrolled construction often takes place without any real use or need and is one of the many causes of global warming. Uncontrolled construction steals land and space from nature, and having fewer plants and trees means less oxygen, less biodiversity and less food for all living beings.
Why continue to build houses and buildings stealing space from trees and plants when there are so many abandoned buildings that could be used?
Nature is asking us for help ... but we humans are too distracted by unnecessary and fictitious needs to listen to her call for help.
To respect Nature is simply to respect oneself!

La natura imprigionata dall'uomo
Ho scattato la foto in copertina il 30 giugno 2019 in occasione di una breve vacanza a Sorrento con la mia famiglia. Mentre io e la mia famiglia camminavamo per andare nell'Hotel che avevamo prenotato mi ha subito colpito colpito l'immagine di questa finestra rossa. Da lontato sembrava una finestra come tutte le altre, un pò malridotta ma niente di interessante. Quando mi sono avvicinato ho visto che non era una semplice finestra ma l'apertura di una particolare "prigione" per una povera pianta abbandonata dall'uomo che un tempo ci abitava. La natura è purtroppo continuamente maltrattata da noi uomini con creazioni in cemento che spesso non vengono utilizzate e quando noi uomini abbandoniamo un luogo, un'abitazione non ci preoccupiamo degli esseri viventi che lasciamo nel luogo abbandonato.
Mi hanno sempre affascinato i posti abbandonati perchè ogni posto abbandonato è un luogo che racchiude domande che non possono avere una risposta perchè non c'è più nessuno che può rispondere.
Non potendo avere risposte a queste domande entra in gioco l'immaginazione e io mi diverto a immaginare una possibile storia o un possibile motivo di tale abbandono.
La natura ha sempre dato tanto e continua a dare tanto a noi uomini, ma noi uomini continuiamo a prendere, prendere senza preoccuparci di tutelare e rispettare quella che è la madre di tutti noi: Madre Natura. Il riscaldamento globale, i fiumi inquinati e i cibi avvelenati da sostanze tossiche sono solo alcuni effetti causati dal continuo egoismo dell'essere umano. La cementificazione selvaggia è spesso attuata senza una reale utilità o necessità ed è una delle tante cause del riscaldamento globale perchè avere meno piante e meno alberi vuol dire avere meno ossigeno, meno biodiversità e meno risorse alimentari per tutti gli esseri viventi.
Perchè continuare a costruire case ed edifici rubando spazio ad alberi e piante quando ci sono tante costruzioni abbandonate che potrebbero essere utilizzate?
La natura ci stà chiedendo aiuto...ma noi uomini siamo troppo distratti da bisogni inutili e fittizi per ascoltare la sua richiesta di aiuto.
Chi non rispetta la Natura non rispetta se stesso!
