Nectar Queen: Battle Strategy and Considerations

Nectar Queen: Battle Strategy

Hello friends, in this post I will analyze the Nectar Queen card and consider its statistics, the cost in relation to the various levels and its correct use in battle.

Image.png
*** **Nectar Queen** is a card from the **Reward** collection and is a **common card** of the **Earth** element.

It is a very good card especially in battles that have certain combat rules.

  • Has a high mana cost (9) but correct in relation to its stats.
  • Has 4 attack points (Meele Attack)
  • Has 10 life points which are good for a card to be deployed in first position.
  • Has a low speed (2)
  • Has an ability: Flying

Image.png
*** Thanks to the **Flying** ability, Nectart Queen is more likely to avoid melee and ranged attacks. ***
  • It costs: 0.016$ In the following image you can see the most interesting levels to which you can bring Nectar Queen:

Image.png *** - **Level 6**: acquires an additional ability: **Retaliate**  Compared to level 1 his **speed** (**2 -> 3**) increases and his **life points** (**10 -> 11**) increases
  • Level 8: Increases its attack by one unit (4 -> 5)
  • Level 10: This is the maximum level. It acquires an additional ability: Poison  Compared to level 8 it increases his life points (12 -> 13).

Now let's see how Nectar Queen behaves on the battlefield and let's deepen the discussion on its use.

A battle of mine with Nectar Queen

Initial Statistics
*** If you look at the statistics in the following table, the battle was very balanced at the start. ***
Image.png
*** I start with a slight advantage due to a total of the life + armor points higher than my opponent. ***
Image.png
***
In the battle of this post I had the following conditions to respect:
***
Regole.jpg
***
These conditions are very favorable to Nectar Queen.
***
As you well know, the maximum number of deployable cards is 7 (1 summoner + 6 monsters).
I chose to deploy (in order of position):
***
**Nectar Queen - Manticore - Gelatinous Cube - Wood Nymph - Fire Spitter - Flesh Golem**
**Daria Dragonscale (Summoner)**
*** ####
First position
***
Image.png
***
I put **Nectar Queen (Level 3)** in first position.
The protagonist of this post.
When the battle rule is **Earthquake** Nectar Queen becomes very useful as her ability makes her immune to the effects of the Earthquake. He has an excellent attack that increases by one unit (**4 -> 5**) thanks to the ability of the summoner Daria Drangonscale. *** ####
Second position
***
Image.png
***
In second position I put **Manticore (Level 4)**
I recently brought my Manticore to level 4. A very useful card. It has a low mana cost (4) and a full 8 life. The ability to fly makes her immune to the negative effects of the earthquake. Thanks to his **Thorns** ability he becomes dangerous even when attacked by a card with melee attack because he will attack his attacker. Thanks to Daria Dragonscale her attack becomes 3 points. A card that should not be missing in any collection. *** ####
Third position
***
Image.png
***
In third position I put **Gelatinous Cube (Level 6)**.
Level 6 Gelatinous Cube is a truly exceptional card.
It has two abilities:
- **Scavenger**:
***
Image.png
*** Thanks to this ability Gelatinuous Cube increases its life by one unit each time a card (both opponent and friend) is eliminated. ***
- **Heal**
***
Image.png
***
Thanks to this ability Gelatinuous Cube is able to restore a part of his life points at each round.
*** A really strong and difficult card to eliminate. Very useful when there are many mana available as in the battle of this post.

Fourth position

Image.png
***
In fourth position I deployed **Wood Nymph (Level 6)**. At best, the "Earthquake" battle rule will only give it two game rounds. I chose to deploy it because for at least two rounds it can increase the life of my cards by 1 unit (ability **Strenght**) and will heal Nectar Queen. *** ####
Fifth position
***
Image.png
***
In fifth position I deployed **Fire Spitte (Level 1)**.
A good attack from distance (2), a good speed (4), a low mana cost (4) and the Flying ability. Excellent to deploy when the battle rule is Earthquake.

Sixth position

Image.png
***
In the sixth and last position I lined up **Flesh Golem (Level 4)**.
He does not have the Flying ability but has the ability to heal himself every turn. He also has good speed (3) and good attack (3) and 9 life. In some cases I deploy cards with the healing ability in last position. The disadvantage is that Flesh Golem cannot attack from the last position but can shield the other cards and can be a last resort if it remains as the last card in play. *** ####
Summoner
***
Image.png
***
The summoner I chose is **Daria Dragonscale Level 4**.
It is a summoner that I use a lot because he allows me to summon level 7 community cards, level 5 rare cards, level 4 rare cards and level 3 legendary cards.

I wrote an in-depth post on Daria Dragonscale: https://peakd.com/hive-140217/@libertycrypto27/daria-dragonscale-vs-malric-inferno-considerations

Thanks to its ability all my melee attack cards get one more attack point.

Considerations

**Why did I win the battle?**

I won the battle because I deployed cards according to the Earthquake battle rules. Battle rules are very important and not considering them almost always means losing the battle.

I have deployed 3 cards with the ability Flying. My opponent only one.

I have deployed 2 cards with the Heal ability. My opponent none.

ROUND 3

In the following image you can see the situation in the third round and after the second earthquake.

Image.png *** Despite at the beginning of the third round my opponent has a total attack of 12 points against my 9 attack points. The earthquake erodes the life points of its cards.
Image.png

ROUND 4

Image.png *** At the start of round 4 the forces on the pitch are in my favor. *** Image.png

ROUND 5

From round 5 onwards I will no longer have to attack, the Earthquake will attack for me :)

*** #
The importance of combat rules
*** We all make mistakes but in this battle my opponent does not consider the importance of the battle rules and gives me a great help. ***
Result.jpg
*** #
When I use Nectar Queen
***
Very important are the "**rules of combat**".
*** ##
Rules of Combat favorable to Nectar Queen
***
Earthquake.jpg
*** This is the circumstance in which Nectar Queen becomes very useful. Its ability to fly makes her immune to the effects of the earthquake. ***
Image.png
*** Since Nectar Queen has no armor points, this combat rule allows Nectar Queen to become a more attractive card.
Image.png
*** Level 1 Nectar Queen has a speed of 2. When the battle rule is **Reverse Speed** its speed corresponds to a speed of 5. This rule significantly increases Nectar Queen's likelihood of avoiding attacks.

The ideal situation for Nectar Queen?

When the battle has both battle rules: **Earthquake** and **Reverse Speed**
