Why you need to buy Cold Pizza Slice cards!
Risign Star is an NFT-based game created and developed on the Hive blockchain. Rising Star is also an easy game to play but it's mostly a Free To Play game because it has no entry fee and requires no initial investment. Although Rising Star does not require an initial investment, the player who wants to grow faster within the game, wants to earn more STARBITS (the game's native tokens) and wants to increase his level of play faster must purchase specific cards from the marketplace.
In order to grow in the game of Rising Star, it is necessary to complete Missions. Missions are important because they allow you to gain:
- experience points (XP)
- token STARBITS (the native tokens of the game)
The experience points allow you to increase your game level, which is one of the requirements of Rising Star missions.
The STARBITS tokens allow you to:
- buy individual cards and/or packs of cards to increase game stats.
- obtain the prestigious STARBITS Millionaire card when you reach an amount of 1 million STARBITS tokens and game level 50
The missions are divided into 4 game zones and each game zone has a list of 7 missions that you can complete. All missions have a minimum of 4 entry requirements:

amount of time needed to complete the mission -
minimum amount of energy.
One of the most important requirements to evaluate when choosing which mission to complete is the energy requirement because energy is not unlimited...
The energy
The energy available in the Rising Star game is indicated by the energy bar (image below).
Energy recharges by 1% every 5 minutes. So it takes 500 minutes = 8 hours and 20 minutes to fully recharge the energy from 0.
Because a day consists of 24 hours = 1440 minutes, each player has 288% of energy available per day. With 288% energy per day, it is possible to perform a limited number of missions compared to the number of missions that could potentially be completed with a higher amount of energy.
Fortunately, the limit of 288% of available energy per day can be overcome by purchasing specific cards.
Cold Pizza Slice
The Cold Pizza Slice card is a very useful card because it allows you to recharge your energy bar by 100% once every 24 hours. Today January 24, 2022, the Cold Pizza Slice card has a cost of:
- 10000 STARBITS tokens = 1.533 HIVE.
- 1.74 SWAP.HIVE.
To use the Cold Pizza Slice card you must: 1. click on the yellow button with the + symbol to the left of the energy bar (arrow number 1 in the following image). 2. a screen will open in which you must click on the yellow button with the words "Use Now" inside (arrow number 2 next image).
1st Birthday Cake
The 1st Birthday Cake card allows you to recharge the energy bar by 100% like the Cold Pizza Slice card but can be used once every 12 hours. Today, January 24, 2022, the 1st Birthday Cake card has a very high cost: 100 SWAP.HIVE.
Coffee Cup
When you complete a Rising Star mission, if you are lucky, you can receive a coffee as an additional reward. When you receive a coffee you will receive a message visible in the Your Diary section of the game like the one you can see in the next image.
The Coffee is a consumable item in the game that allows you to increase your energy bar by 3% and also allows you to increase the energy recovery rate for one hour from the time of its use, so your energy bar will recharge faster than normal.
Coffee Cup is a card that allows you to keep 1 coffee you receive and you choose when to use it.
Today January 24, 2022, the Coffee Cup card costs 2 SWAP.HIVE.
Pizza Box
When you complete a Rising Star mission, if you're lucky, you can receive a discarded Pizza in addition to a coffee.
The pizza you can receive after completing a mission has the same recharging power as a Cold Pizza Slice (100%) but can only be used once (consumable item).
When you receive a pizza and you have the Pizza Box card you receive a message in the Your Diary section like the one you can see in the next image.
Without Pizza Box a discarded Pizza automatically recharges the energy bar up to 100%. The Pizza Box card allows you to optimize the energy usage of the discarded pizza because it prevents that the effect of the 100% recharge is wasted or only partially used.
In fact if you don't have a Pizza Box card when you receive a Discarded Pizza and the energy bar is at 50% you get a 50% energy increase but at the same time you waste 50% energy.
Today January 22, 2022 the cheapest price on the market for the Pizza Box card is 7500 STARBITS.

The importance of the Cold Pizza Slice card explained with a simple practical example
In order to explain the importance of the Cold Pizza Slice card, I thought to show a practical and comparative example between two players:
- A player A who has no Cold Pizza Slice cards in his card collection.
- A player B who has 5 Cold Pizza Slice cards in his card collection.
In the following example I will show you the comparison between the daily game activity of player A and that of player B, who will complete only one type of mission for simplicity of calculation.
Player A and Player B will try to complete as many Saturday Headline missions as possible using the energy at their disposal.
The Saturday Headline mission:
- allows to gain an average of 887.5 STARBITS tokens for each mission completed.
- has a mission completion time of 180 minutes.
- produces a 100% energy consumption for each mission completed
The daily game activity of player A
(no Cold Pizza Slice card)
- 8:00: the energy bar is at 100%, player A starts the first mission Saturday Headline.
- 11:00: the mission is completed, but player A cannot start another one because the energy bar is not at 100%.
- 16:20: after 8 hours and 20 minutes, the energy bar returns to 100% and player A can start another Saturday Headline mission.
- 19:20: player A completes the second Saturday Headline mission.
- 00:40: after 8 hours and 20 minutes the energy bar returns to 100% and Player A can start his third and last Saturday Headline mission of the day before going to sleep.
At 9:00 the next day, the Energy Bar will return to 100% and Player A can start a new mission.
In the time between 8:00 A.M. and 00:40 A.M., Player A has started three Saturday Headline missions and the next day, when he wakes up, he will have earned in the average case: 2662.5 STARBITS tokens and 381 XP points and used a total of 300% of energy.
The daily game activity of player B
(5 Cold Pizza Slice cards)
Now let's imagine the daily game activity of a hypothetical Rising Star player who spent 50000 STARBITS tokens to buy 5 Cold Pizza Slice cards and who, again for ease of calculation, chose to complete only the Saturday Headline missions.
With 5 Cold Pizza Slice cards, player B has 500% more energy than player A in the previous example.
- 8:00: the energy bar is at 100% and player B starts the first Saturday Headline mission.
- 11:00: the first mission is completed and player B uses his first Cold Pizza Slice card to recharge his energy by 100% and can immediately start another Saturday Headline mission without waiting a minute.
- 14:00 Player B repeats the same operation and starts the third Saturday Headline mission of the day.
- 17:00: player B repeats the same operation and starts the fourth Saturday Headline mission of the day.
- 20:00: player B repeats the same operation and starts the fifth mission Saturday Headline.
- 23:00: player B repeats the same operation as before, uses his fifth Cold Pizza Slice card and starts the sixth Saturday Headline mission and then goes to sleep.
At 8:00 the next day, the energy bar will return to 100% and player B can start a new mission. At 11:00 the Cold Pizza Slice card he used at 11:00 of the previous day will be usable again...
In the time between 8:00 and 23:00, player B started 6 Saturday Headline missions and when he wakes up he will have earned in the average case 5325 STARBITS tokens and 762 XP points and used 600% energy.
Player A VS Player B
30 days later
Player A after 30 days:
- will earn (average case) 79875 token STARBITS (2662.5 STARBITS * 30 days)
- will make an estimated profit of +79875 STARBITS tokens
Player B spent 50000 STARBITS to buy 5 Cold Pizza Slice but after 30 days:
- will earn (average case) 159750 token STARBITS (5325 STARBITS * 30 days)
- will make an estimated profit + 109750 STARBITS tokens
Player A will reach one million STARBITS tokens in about 12 and a half months Player B will reach one million STARBITS tokens in about 6 and a half months.
Who made the best choice?
NOTE: The purpose of my example is to show the usefulness of the Cold Pizza Slice card. To simplify the calculations I have considered only one mission and I have deliberately not considered the EGO and the negative effects it produces. In the real game activity it is important to mix the various game missions counterbalancing the accumulation of STARBITS tokens and the increase of the EGO score.

Rising Star è un gioco basato su NFT creato e sviluppato sulla blockchain di Hive. Rising Star è anche un gioco semplice da giocare ma è soprattutto un gioco Free To Play perchè non ha un costo di iscrizione e non richiede un investimento iniziale. Anche se Rising Star non richiede un investimento iniziale, il giocatore che vuole crescere più velocemente all'interno del gioco, vuole guadagnare fin da subito un quantitativo maggiore di STARBITS (i token nativi del gioco) e vuole aumentare in modo più veloce il suo livello di gioco deve acquistare specifiche carte dal mercato.
Per crescere nel gioco di Rising Star è necessario completare le Missioni. Le missioni sono importanti perchè permettono di ottenere:
- punti esperienza (XP)
- token STARBITS (i token nativi del gioco)
I punti esperienza permettono di aumentare il livello di gioco che è uno dei requisiti delle missioni di Rising Star.
I token STARBITS permettono di:
- comprare singole carte e/o pacchi di carte per aumentare le statistiche di gioco.
- ottenere la prestigiosa carta STARBITS Millionaire quando si raggiunge un quantitativo di 1 milione di token STARBITS e il livello di gioco 50
Le missioni sono divise in 4 zone di gioco e ogni zona di gioco ha una lista di 7 missioni che è possibile completare. Tutte le missioni hanno un minimo di 4 requisiti di ingresso:

Uno dei requisiti più importanti da valutare nella scelta della missione da completare è il requisito energia perchè ogni missione richiede un certo quantitativo di energia per essere completata e l'energia non è illimitata...
L'energia
L'energia a disposizione nel gioco di Rising Star è indicata dalla barra dell'energia (immagine seguente).
L'energia si ricarica dell'1% ogni 5 minuti. Quindi per ricaricare completamente l'energia partendo dal valore 0 sono necessari 500 minuti = 8 ore e 20 minuti.
Poichè una giornata è formata da 24 ore = 1440 minuti, ogni giocatore ha a disposizione 288% di energia al giorno. Con 288% di energia al giorno è possibile svolgere un numero limitato di missioni rispetto al numero di missioni potenzialmente completabili con una quantità di energia maggiore.
Fortunatamente il limite di 288% di energia disponibile al giorno è superabile grazie all'acquisto di specifiche carte.
Le Booster Cards che permettono di ricaricare l'energia
Nel gioco di Rising Star ci sono 4 carte che permettono di ottenere più energia:
- Cold Pizza Slice
- 1st Birthday Cake
- Pizza Box
- Coffe Cup
Cold Pizza Slice
La carta Cold Pizza Slice è una carta molto utile perchè ti permette di ricaricare la barra dell'energia del 100% una volta ogni 24 ore. Oggi 24 gennaio 2022 la carta Cold Pizza Slice ha un costo di:
- 10000 token STARBITS = 1.533 HIVE
- 1.74 SWAP.HIVE
Per utilizzare la carta Cold Pizza Slice devi: 1. cliccare sul bottone giallo con il simbolo + a sinistra della barra dell'energia (freccia numero 1 immagine seguente). 2. si aprirà una schermata nella quale devi cliccare sul bottone giallo con all'interno la scritta "Use Now" (freccia numero 2 immagine seguente).
1st Birthday Cake
La carta 1st Birthday Cake permette di ricaricare la barra dell'energia del 100% come la carta Cold Pizza Slice ma può essere utilizzata una volta ogni 12 ore. Oggi 24 gennaio 2022 la carta 1st Birthday Cake ha un costo davvero alto: 100 SWAP.HIVE.
Coffee Cup
Quando completi una missione di Rising Star, se sei fortunato, puoi ricevere un caffè come premio aggiuntivo. Quando ricevi un caffè ricevi un messaggio visibile nella sezione Your Diary del gioco come quello che puoi vedere nell'immagine successiva.
Il caffè è un elemento consumabile del gioco che ti permette di aumentare del 3% la barra dell'energia e ti permette anche di aumentare il tasso di recupero dell'energia per un'ora dal momento del suo utilizzo e quindi la tua barra dell'energia si ricaricherà più velocemente del normale.
Coffee Cup è una carta che ti permette di conservare 1 caffè che ricevi e scegliere tu quando utilizzarlo.
Oggi 24 gennaio 2022 la carta Coffee Cup ha un costo di 2 SWAP.HIVE
Pizza Box
Quando completi una missione di Rising Star, se sei fortunato, puoi ricevere oltre ad un caffè anche una discarded Pizza.
La pizza che puoi ricevere dopo il completamento di una missione ha lo stesso potere di ricarica di una Cold Pizza Slice (100%) ma può essere utilizzata solo una volta (elemento consumabile).
Quando ricevi una pizza e hai la carta Pizza Box ricevi un messaggio visibile nella sezione Your Diary come quello che puoi vedere nell'immagine successiva.
Senza Pizza Box una discarded Pizza ricarica in automatico la barra dell'energia fino al 100%. La carta Pizza Box ti permette di ottimizzare l'utilizzo dell'energia della discarded pizza perchè evita che l'effetto della ricarica al 100% sia sprecato o utilizzato solo parzialmente.
Infatti se non hai una carta Pizza Box quando ricevi una Discarded Pizza e la barra dell'energia è al 50% ottieni un incremento dell'energia del 50% ma allo stesso tempo sprechi un 50% di energia.
Oggi 22 gennaio 2022 il prezzo più conveniente sul mercato della carta Pizza Box è di 7500 STARBITS.

In base ai prezzi di mercato attuali (24 gennaio 2022) la carta Cold Pizza Slice è il miglior acquisto possibile.

L'importanza della carta Cold Pizza Slice spiegata con un semplice esempio pratico
Ho notato che molti giocatori e non solo i nuovi giocatori impiegano del tempo prima di capire l'importanza delle carte Cold Pizza Slice nelle dinamiche del gioco di Rising Star.
Per spiegare l'importanza della carta Cold Pizza Slice ho pensato di mostrare un esempio pratico e comparativo tra due giocatori:
- Un giocatore A che non ha carte Cold Pizza Slice nella sua collezione di carte.
- Un giocatore B che ha 5 carte Cold Pizza Slice nella sua collezione di carte.
Nell'esempio seguente ti mostrerò il confronto tra l'attività di gioco giornaliera del giocatore A e quella del giocatore B a cui farò completare un solo tipo di missione per semplicità di calcolo.
Il giocatore A e il giocatore B cercheranno di completare il maggior numero di missioni Saturday Headline utilizzando nel modo migliore l'energia a loro disposizione.
La missione Saturday Headline:
- permette di ottenere un guadagno medio di 887.5 token STARBITS per ogni missione completata.
- ha un tempo necessario per il completamento della missione di 180 minuti.
- produce un consumo di energia del 100% per ogni missione completata
L'attività di gioco giornaliera del giocatore A
(nessuna carta Cold Pizza Slice)
- 8:00 A.M.: la barra dell'energia è al 100%, il giocatore A inizia la prima missione Saturday Headline.
- 11:00 A.M.: la missione viene completata ma il giocatore A non può iniziarne un'altra perchè la barra dell'energia non è al 100%.
- 16:20 P.M: dopo 8 ore e 20 minuti, la barra dell'energia ritorna al 100% e il giocatore A può iniziare un'altra missione Saturday Headline.
- 19:20 P.M.: il giocatore A completa la seconda missione Saturday Headline.
- 00:40 A.M.: dopo 8 ore e 20 minuti la barra dell'energia ritorna nuovamente al 100% e il giocatore A può iniziare la sua terza e ultima missione Saturday Headline del giorno prima di andare a dormire.
Alle ore 9:00 A.M. del giorno successivo la barra dell'energia ritornerà al 100% e il giocatore A potrà iniziare una nuova missione.
Nell'intervallo di tempo tra le 8:00 A.M. e le 00:40 il giocatore A ha iniziato tre missioni Saturday Headline e il giorno successivo, al suo risveglio, avrà guadagnato nel caso medio: 2662.5 token STARBITS e 381 punti XP e utilizzato in totale 300% di energia.
L'attività di gioco giornaliera del giocatore B
(5 carte Cold Pizza Slice)
Adesso immaginiamo l'attività di gioco giornaliera di un ipotetico giocatore di Rising Star che ha speso 50000 token STARBITS per acquistare 5 carte Cold Pizza Slice e che, sempre per comodità di calcolo, ha scelto di completare solo le missioni Saturday Headline.
Con 5 carte Cold Pizza Slice il giocatore B ha a disposizione 500% di energia in più rispetto al giocatore A dell'esempio precedente.
- 8:00 A.M.: la barra dell'energia è al 100% e il giocatore B inizia la prima missione Saturday Headline.
- 11:00 A.M.: la prima missione viene completata e il giocatore B usa la sua prima carta Cold Pizza Slice per ricaricare l'energia del 100% e può iniziare subito e senza aspettare un minuto un'altra missione Saturday Headline.
- 14:00 P.M.: il giocatore B ripete la stessa operazione precedente e inizia la terza missione Saturday Headline del giorno.
- 17:00 P.M.: il giocatore B ripete la stessa operazione precedente e inizia la quarta missione Saturday Headline.
- 20:00 P.M.: il giocatore B ripete la stessa operazione precedente e inizia la quinta missione Saturday Headline.
- 23:00 P.M.: il giocatore B ripete la stessa operazione precedente, utilizza la sua quinta carta Cold Pizza Slice e inizia la sesta missione Saturday Headline e poi va a dormire.
Alle ore 8:00 A.M. del giorno successivo la barra dell'energia ritornerà al 100% e il giocatore B potrà iniziare una nuova missione. Alle ore 11:00 A.M. la carta Cold Pizza Slice che ha utilizzato alle 11:00 A.M. del giorno precedente sarà di nuovo utilizzabile...
Nell'intervallo di tempo tra le 8:00 A.M. e le 23:00 P.M. il giocatore B ha iniziato 6 missioni Saturday Headline e al suo risveglio avrà guadagnato nel caso medio 5325 token STARBITS e 762 punti XP e utilizzato 600% di energia.
Giocatore A VS Giocatore B
30 giorni dopo
Il giocatore A dopo 30 giorni:
- guadagnerà (caso medio) 79875 token STARBITS (2662.5 STARBITS * 30 giorni)
- realizzerà un profitto stimato di +79875 token STARBITS
Il giocatore B ha speso 50000 STARBITS per acquistare 5 Cold Pizza Slice ma dopo 30 giorni:

NOTA: Lo scopo del mio esempio è di mostrare l'utilità della carta Cold Pizza Slice. Per semplificare i calcoli ho considerato una sola missione e non ho volutamente considerato l'EGO e gli effetti negativi che produce. Nell'attività di gioco reale è importante mixare le varie missioni di gioco controbilanciando l'accumulo di token STARBITS e l'incremento del punteggio dell'EGO.
