New Leofinance Open Alpha UI and the Second LPUD of the Year
Today is February 15, 2023 and is the date on which the second LEO Power Up Day of the year 2023 takes place. In February, @leofinance introduced many new features among which the most interesting is the new Leofinance User Interface that was released yesterday and announced in this post. The new Leofinance UI is in Open Alpha version and you can view and test it by clicking on the following link: https://alpha.leofinance.io/threads
As you can see from the screenshot below the interface is Twitter-Style and I like this aspect because it could facilitate a lot the onboarding of web 2.0 users on Hive and Leofinance because they would be faced with an interface familiar to them.
I also like the Notifications section and the choice to use different colors to differentiate one notification from another.
I also like the display of rewards of threads expressed in both HIVE Token Units ($HTU) and LEO.
I also like the Publish section which is very intuitive although it lacks some editor features that will be introduced in the future.
The new Leofinance UI has only been released for one day and so many features will be added and released in the next steps of development but the initial premises are really good in my opinion!
The other new feature introduced by Leofinance in February is a Race for those who have at least 2000 LEO Staked (LP). The Race consists of completing several quests and climbing a leaderboard.
I started yesterday and am at level 1 with 7% completion and will complete as many quests as possible in the coming days ;)
The prizes up for grabs for the Race are:
- 10K LEO liquids
- a delegation of 100K LP
If you have at least 2000 LPs, I suggest you go to the Server Discord of Leofinance right away in the Crew3 channel to start the race as well, which ends on February 28, 2023.
Today is the second LEO Power UP Day of the year 2023 and I am gladly participating in this initiative because among the second-level tokens of the Hive blockchain, the LEO tokens are among the ones I care about the most and they are also the tokens on which I have set medium- to long-term accumulation and staking goals.

Participating in LEO Power Up Days also allows you to participate in the drawing for attractive prizes.
For the first LPUD of the year 2023 there were 8 prizes while this month the prizes have increased and are 12 for a total of 180K Leo Power Delegations (see list in the screenshot below).
There is also the Super Bad Luck Prize which is a prize drawn among participants who were unlucky not to win a prize for three consecutive LPUDs. This means that bad luck could also turn into great luck thanks to @onealfa. You can read all the details of the Super Bad Luck (SBL) initiative at the following link: Super BAD LUCK (SBL)
The rules to be followed to participate in the February LPUD are the same as the previous LPUD (Jan. 15, 2022)
In the previous LPUD I had made a LEO Power Up of 218.07 LEO. Today one month later I have in my LEO Wallet: 240.44 LEO liquids
I am glad to be able to make a LEO Power Up higher than last month's. I did the Power Up of all my liquid LEOs from the Wallet section of https://leofinance.io/.
Thanks to this LEO Power Up of mine, I have achieved a LEO Power of 2944.05 LP and am very close to 3K LP.
With 2944 LP I am still a New Born CUB but I am getting closer month by month to CUB status. I am almost 59% of the way to becoming a CUB.
On the other hand, I am 45.29%** of my way toward my yearly goal.
At the time I am publishing this post, there are just under 6 hours until the end of the second LPUD of the year 2023.
If, like me, you have goals for growth within the Leofinance community, I encourage you to participate in the nice initiative of the LPUD as well! ;)

Oggi è il 15 febbraio 2023 ed è la data in cui si svolge il secondo LEO Power Up Day dell'anno 2023. Nel mese di febbraio @leofinance ha introdotto molte novità tra cui la più interessante è la nuova Leofinance User Interface che è stata rilasciata ieri e annunciata in questo post. La nuova Leofinance UI è in versione Open Alpha e puoi visionarla e provarla cliccando sul seguente link: https://alpha.leofinance.io/threads
Come puoi vedere dallo screenshot seguente l'interfaccia è Twitter-Style e questo aspetto mi piace perchè potrebbe facilitare molto l'onboarding degli utenti del web 2.0 su Hive e Leofinance perchè si troverebbero davanti ad un interfaccia a loro familiare.
Mi piace anche la sezione Notifications e la scelta di utilizzare colori diversi per differenziare una notifica da un'altra.
Mi piace anche la visualizzazione delle rewards dei threads espressia sia in HIVE Token Units ($HTU) che in LEO.
Mi piace anche la sezione Publish che è molto intuitiva anche se mancano alcune funzionalità dell'editor che saranno introdotte in futuro.
La nuova Leofinance UI è stata rilasciata da solo un giorno e tante funzionalità saranno aggiunte e rilasciate nei passi successivi di sviluppo ma le premesse iniziali sono davvero buone secondo me!
L'altra novità introdotta da Leofinance nel mese di febbraio è una Race per chi ha almeno 2000 LEO Staked (LP). La Race consiste nel completare diverse quests e scalare una classifica.
Io ho inziato ieri e sono al livello 1 con il 7% di completamento e nei prossimi giorni completerò il maggior numero di quests possibili ;)
I premi in palio per la Race sono:
- 10K LEO liquidi
- una delega di 100K LP
Se hai almeno 2000 LP ti consiglio di andare subito sul Server Discord di Leofinance nel canale Crew3 per iniziare anche tu la race che termina il 28 febbraio 2023.

Sono contento di poter fare un LEO Power Up superiore a quello del mese scorso. Ho fatto il Power Up di tutti i miei LEO liquidi dalla sezione Wallet di https://leofinance.io/.
Grazie a questo mio LEO Power Up ho raggiunto un LEO Power di 2944.05 LP e sono molto vicino ai 3K LP.
Con 2944 LP sono ancora un New Born CUB ma mi sto avvicinando mese dopo mese allo status di CUB. Sono a quasi il 59% del mio percorso per diventare un CUB.
