In practice, the last Hard Fork, among other useful innovations, has changed the mechanism related to the curation window of a post. Before Hard Fork 25 voting on a post before the fifth minute produced penalties in terms of curator earnings (those who vote on a post). Voting long after the fifth minute and especially if the voted post had already earned a good amount of money was equally counterproductive. After Hard Fork 25 voting a post within a 24 hour time window produces no penalty. So if you vote a post in the first minute or after 10 hours or after 23 hours and 59 minutes after publishing a post you will always receive the same curator reward that will depend only on the weight of your vote (Hive Power). I really like this change because it should incentivize interaction and should negate the advantage offered by automatic voting tools.
This change also had an effect on posts that were published before the hard fork and have not yet made it to the payout (7 days).
If a post that was published before the HF does not receive any more votes until the payment window closes everything remains the same as before. If a post that was published before HF receives even a single vote after HF 25 all curators who voted for the post before HF 25 will lose all rewards. Instead those who voted for the post after the date of the last HF will share all the rewards destined for curators.
That's why after the HF 25 the race to vote first on posts close to payment that didn't receive votes after the HF started and that's why I received votes on my posts close to payment.
Dear friend and dear reader, until June 7, voting on a post published before the last HF can be very convenient. I'll also point out that removing a vote from a post voted on before HF 25 and voting the post again has no benefit. The benefit is only on posts that you haven't already voted on before the HF.
Now let me show you a practical example. As you can see from the images below, @discovery-it's post that I voted for before HF 25, 5 minutes after it was published and with 100% of my voting power ($0.158) will earn me 0 HP. The post by @fieryfootprints that I voted on 6 days after publication with 40% of my voting power will earn me 3.004 HP.
As well explained by acidyo in his post, to check the rewards of a post that has not yet gone to payment you can enter in the address bar of your browser the following address: https://hiveblockexplorer.com/ followed by the reference of the post you want to vote or have voted.
For example, to see the rewards that are due to the curators of the post of @splinterlands closest to the payment (https://peakd.com/splinterlands/@splinterlands/splinterlands-has-been-twitter-banned) just enter in the address bar of your browser the following address:

Back to talking about Power Up Day today I made a power up of 50 HP.
I also received a nice surprise and I was very happy because I received 30,431 HP and 7,540 HBD as the first prize of the OCD Community Boost contest #13
The 7,540 HBD I received will also become HP soon.
The Power Up operation is a beautiful and easy operation to perform. If you are a new user and you have never done Power Up I will show you the simple steps to perform and I hope that doing Power Up will become a pleasant habit for you ;)
How to do Power Up
To make Power Up I use the wallet section of https://peakd.com/
Step 1: you have to login at https://peakd.com/ Step 2: you have to click in the top right corner on the down arrow next to your Hive username and in the drop down menu you have to click on Wallet.
Step 3: Inside the wallet section of Peakd you have to click on the down arrow below the amount of liquid HIVE tokens (HIVE) and then you have to click on Power Up (as indicated by the arrows in the following image).
Step 4: In the next screen you have to enter the amount of HIVE you want to convert to Hive Power (in the image is my Power Up from last month of 91,921 HIVE) and finally you have to click on CONTINUE.
That's it, easy right?

Sono su Hive da due anni e quattro mesi e fino ad oggi non ho mai fatto Power Down ma sempre Power Up! Il primo giorno di ogni mese è il Power Up Day e fare power up in questo giorno è diventata una piacevole abitudine. Volevo pubblicare questo post nel pomeriggio ma mentre lo scrivevo ho notato che su alcuni miei post prossimi al pagamento ricevevo dei voti da account che non avevo mai visto prima. Perchè votare un post poco prima che si chiuda la finestra di pagamento? Mi sono incuriosito e poco dopo ho letto il seguente post di @acidyo che mi ha spiegato il motivo e che vi invito a leggere:
In pratica l'ultimo Hard Fork, tra le altre utili novità, ha modificato il meccanismo relativo alla finestra di curation di un post. Prima dell'Hard Fork 25 votare un post prima del quinto minuto produceva delle penalità in termini di guadagno da curatore (chi vota un post). Votare molto tempo dopo il quinto minuto e soprattutto se il post votato aveva già ottenuto un buon guadagno era altrettanto controproducente. Dopo l'Hard Fork 25 votare un post all'interno di una finestra temporale di 24 ore non produce alcuna penalità. Quindi se voti un post al primo minuto o dopo 10 ore o dopo 23 ore e 59 minuti successivi alla pubblicazione di un post riceverai sempre la stessa ricompensa da curatore che dipenderà unicamente dal peso del tuo voto (Hive Power). Questa modifica mi piace molto perchè dovrebbe incentivare l'interazione e dovrebbe annullare il vantaggio offerto dai tool di voto automatico.
Questa modifica ha avuto un effetto anche sui post che sono stati pubblicati prima dell'hard fork e che non sono ancora arrivati al pagamento (7 giorni).
Se un post che è stato pubblicato prima dell'HF non riceve più voti fino alla chiusura della finestra di pagamento tutto rimane identico a prima. Se un post che è stato pubblicato prima dell'HF riceve anche un solo singolo voto successivo all'HF 25 tutti i curatori che hanno votato il post prima dell'HF 25 perderanno tutte le ricompense. Invece chi ha votato il post dopo la data dell'ultimo HF si dividerà tutta la ricompensa destinata ai curatori.
Ecco perchè dopo l'HF è partita la corsa a votare per primi i post prossimi al pagamento che non hanno ricevuto voti dopo l'HF ed ecco perchè ho ricevuto dei voti sui miei post prossimi al pagamento.
Caro amico e caro lettore, fino al 7 giugno, votare un post pubblicato prima dell'ultimo HF può essere molto conveniente. Ti faccio anche notare che togliere un voto da un post votato prima dell'HF 25 e votare nuovamente il post non porta alcun beneficio. Il vantaggio è solo sui post che non hai già votato prima dell'HF.
Adesso vi faccio vedere un esempio pratico. Come puoi vedere dalle immagini seguenti, il post di @discovery-it che ho votato prima dell'HF 25, dopo 5 minuti dalla pubblicazione e con il 100% della mia potenza di voto (0.158$) mi farà guadagnare 0 HP. Il post di @fieryfootprints che ho votato 6 giorni dopo la pubblicazione con il 40% della mia potenza di voto mi farà guadagnare 3.004 HP.
Come ben spiegato da acidyo nel suo post, per controllare le ricompense di un post che non è ancora andato in pagamento puoi inserire nella barra degli indirizzi del tuo browser il seguente indirizzo: https://hiveblockexplorer.com/ seguito dal riferimento del post che vuoi votare o hai votato.
Ad esempio per vedere le ricompense che spettano ai curatori del post di @splinterlands più vicino al pagamento (https://peakd.com/splinterlands/@splinterlands/splinterlands-has-been-twitter-banned) ti basterà inserire nella barra degli indirizzi del tuo browser il seguente indirizzo:

Ritornando a parlare del Power Up Day oggi ho fatto un power up di 50 HP.

Come Fare Power Up
Per fare Power Up io utilizzo la sezione wallet di https://peakd.com/
Passo 1: devi fare il login sul sito https://peakd.com/ Passo 2: devi cliccare in alto a destra sulla freccetta rivolta verso il basso di fianco al tuo nome utente di Hive e nel menu a tendina devi cliccare su Wallet.
Passo 3: All'interno della sezione wallet di Peakd devi cliccare sulla freccetta rivolta verso il basso sotto all'indicazione del quantitativo dei token HIVE liquidi (HIVE) e poi devi cliccare su Power Up (come indicato dalle frecce nell'immagine seguente).
Passo 4: Nella schermata successiva devi inserire il quantitativo di HIVE da convertire in Hive Power (nell'immagine c'è il mio Power Up del mese scorso di 91.921 HIVE) e infine devi cliccare su CONTINUE.
Tutto qui, facile vero?
