The rules in a nutshell are as follows
- write and publish a post on 1 June showing your Power Up done on 1 June and tag the post with #HivePUD
- have a Hive Power higher than 100 and lower than 8000
- have a reputation higher than 39 and lower than 70
- Make a minimum power up of 10 HP during the day of June 1st.
There are prizes for those who do the Power Up and to determine the winners the Power Ups are considered in terms of percentage and not in terms of absolute value and therefore new users who have few HP in their wallet are rightly advantaged.
I have a reputation of over 73 points and an HP of about 16000 and for this reason I can't participate in this initiative to receive prizes but I participate anyway and I do it with great pleasure because I love Hive and doing Power Up for a Hiver who believes in the project of Hive is always a reason to be happy.
Today I did the Power Up of all the liquid HIVE tokens I had in my wallet: 91.921 HP
The Power Up operation is an easy operation to perform and I want to show the steps to perform in order to help new users who have never done a Power Up.
How to Power Up
To do Power Up I use the wallet section of https://peakd.com/
Step 1: I logged into https://peakd.com/ Step 2: I clicked on the top right hand side of the down arrow next to my Hive username and in the drop down menu I clicked on Wallet.
Step 3: In the Peakd wallet section, I clicked on the down arrow below the amount of my liquid HIVE tokens (HIVE) and then clicked on Power Up (as indicated by the arrows in the image below).
Step 4: On the next screen I entered the amount of HIVE to be converted to Hive Power (in my case 91.921 HIVE) and finally clicked CONTINUE.
That's it, my Power Up was executed immediately. Easy right?
Why Power Up?
The advantages of Power UP
Having liquid HIVE brings no advantage other than the willingness to transfer HIVE tokens immediately. Converting HIVE tokens into Hive Power (HP) instead allows you to gain many advantages:
- It allows you to get an annual interest rate of 3.35%.
In addition, those who make a Power Up on the first of the month also receive a badge on https://hivebuzz.me/. The badge on the hivebuzz website has no financial value but a symbolic value.
If you also want to get this badge, you still have a few hours to do your first Power Up of the month.
For me, doing a Power Up is the absolute best way to start the month on Hive!

Oggi sono quasi due anni e tre mesi che sono su Hive e non ho mai fatto un Power Down. Ho sempre fatto Power Up e il motivo è semplice: credo molto nel progetto di Hive e nella forza della sua grande comunità. Oggi 1 giugno 2021 è il Power Up Day! Il Power Up Day è un iniziativa iniziata diversi mesi fa e su Hive è portata avanti da @traciyork. Vi invito a leggere il suo post con tutte le regole da seguire per partecipare:

Le regole in sintesi sono le seguenti:

Sono previsti dei premi per chi fa il Power Up più grande inteso in termini di percentuale e non in termini di valore assoluto e quindi i nuovi utenti che hanno pochi HP nel proprio wallet sono giustamente avvantaggiati.
Io ho una reputazione superiore a 73 punti e un HP di circa 16000 e per questo motivo non posso partecipare a questa iniziativa per ricevere i premi ma partecipo ugualemente e lo faccio con molto piacere perchè amo Hive e fare Power Up per un Hiver che crede nel progetto di Hive è sempre un motivo per essere felice.

L'operazione di Power Up è un'operazione facile da eseguire e voglio mostrare i passaggi da eseguire in modo da aiutare i nuovi utenti che non hanno mai fatto un Power Up.
Come Fare Power Up
Per fare Power Up io utilizzo la sezione wallet di https://peakd.com/
Passo 1: ho fatto il login sul sito https://peakd.com/ Passo 2: ho cliccato in alto a destra sulla freccetta rivolta verso il basso di fianco al mio nome utente di Hive e nel menu a tendina ho cliccato su Wallet.
Passo 3: All'interno della sezione wallet di Peakd ho cliccato sulla freccetta rivolta verso il basso sotto all'indicazione del quantitativo dei miei token HIVE liquidi (HIVE) e poi ho cliccato su Power Up (come indicato dalle frecce nell'immagine seguente).
Passo 4: Nella schermata successiva ho inserito il quantitativo di HIVE da convertire in Hive Power (nel mio caso 91,921 HIVE) e infine ho cliccato su CONTINUE.
Tutto qui, il mio Power Up è stato eseguito immediatamente. Facile vero?
Perchè fare Power Up?
I vantaggi del Power UP
Avere HIVE liquidi non porta alcun vantaggio se non la disponibilità a trasferire immediatamente i token HIVE. Convertire i token HIVE in Hive Power (HP) permette invece di ottenere molti vantaggi:
- Ti permette di ottenere un interesse annuo del 3.35%
- Ti permette di avere un peso di voto maggiore e poichè quando voti ti ritorna circa il 50% del valore del tuo voto questo vuol dire che guadagnerai di più ogni volta che voterai un post su Hive. In base al post votato e al timing con cui voti puoi avere una percentuale di ritorno anche superiore al 15%-20% mensile sul quantitativo del tuo Hive Power.
- ti permette di avere un maggiore peso decisionale all'interno di Hive tramite il voto alle proposte e tramite il voto ai testimoni di Hive
- ti permette di avere più Resource Credits e quindi potrai effettuare un maggior numero di azioni e transazioni sulla blockchain.
Inoltre chi effettua un Power Up il primo del mese riceve anche un badge su https://hivebuzz.me/ Il badge del sito hivebuzz non ha un valore economico ma ha un valore simbolico.
Se vuoi ottenere anche tu questo badge hai ancora poche ore per fare il tuo primo Power Up del mese.
Per me fare Power Up è in assoluto il miglior modo per iniziare il mese su Hive!
