Return to Champion League III + my end of season reward

Hello Hivers and Splinterlands players, Today 15 May 2021 another season of Splinterlands came to an end. It wasn't a season like the others because this season I changed my strategy compared to the previous seasons. In previous seasons I rented some cards from the market at https://peakmonsters.com/ on the last day of the season. With this strategy I had variable results. Three days ago I wrote a post in which I analyzed my strategy and explained in detail why I abandoned this strategy.

In the last season just ended I decided to rent fewer cards but to keep them an extra day: so two days instead of one.

This strategy worked much better than my previous strategy and unlike the previous season this season I achieved my goal: to return to the Champion League of Splinterlands.

Two days before the end of the season I was in the Gold I league and had a rating of 2665 points and a power score of 206280 points.

I started in the Gold I league and finished the season in the Champion III league with a rating score of 3946 points and occupied position number 141 in the Champion league.

I completed 418 battles and my win rate was 53.59% which is slightly lower than my total win rate of 55.13%.

In order to pass the power score of 500000 points which is the requirement for entering the Splinterlands Champion leagues I rented a total of 32 cards from the Peakmonsters market:

Except for Spirit of the Forest (Level 3) I chose to rent only cards that had Termination Escrow equal to 0 (no penalty in case of early termination of the rental contract). As you can see from the next image, I have terminated all rental contracts with a term of more than one day.

By renting the 30 cards I listed above, I was able to increase my power score by over 3200000 points.

For renting the cards I spent 0.82$ per day and having kept the rental active for two days I spent a total of 1.64$.

In the previous season I had rented 41 cards for one day and spent a total of $1.38.

I spent a bit more, but while in the previous season I stopped at the Diamond I league, this season I reached the Champion III league and just as importantly had more time and peace of mind to reach my goal.

In the next season I will adopt and repeat the same strategy to see if the strategy I followed last season is actually right or if I just got lucky.

Now I'll show you the end-of-season reward I got.

My end-of-season reward

In the previous season I was in the Diamond I league and opened 60 chests. This time I received 20 more chests and opened a total of 80 chests.

In the following picture you can see the cards I found in the chests.

I found 19 cards out of 80 chests. The chests can contain three types of rewards: Cards, DECs, Potions. The probability of finding a card in each chest is exactly 1/3, so I found fewer cards than the average probability, which is 26.6 cards out of 80 chests (80/3).

I found 14 common cards, 4 rare cards, 1 epic card and no gold cards :( The most valuable card I found is Axemaster which has a market value of $1.59 and a DEC conversion value of 200.

The total value of the cards I found inside the chests is $2,252.

DEC and Potions

I also found 25 Potions and a total of 806 DEC tokens.

Today 15 May 2021, 806 DEC equals 1.71 HIVE (Highest BID on LeoDex/HiveEngine)

As you can see from the calculations shown in the image below the dollar value of 1593 DEC tokens is $0.80

Conclusion

Now I do some calculations to determine the total value of the seasonal reward:

total card rental cost: 1.64 $
total value of cards found in chests: 2.252 $
total value of DEC tokens found in chests: 0.80 $.

The total profit was - $1.64 + $2,252 + $0.8 = $1,412.

The change of strategy allowed me to return to the Champion league but the end of season reward was not very lucky. Still, I close with a small but positive result and I am sure that next time it will be much better.

Ritorno in lega Champion III + la mia ricompensa di fine stagione

Ciao Hivers e giocatori di Splinterlands, oggi 15 maggio 2021 si è conclusa un'altra stagione di Splinterlands. Non è stata una stagione come le altre perchè in questa stagione ho cambiato la mia strategia rispetto alle precedenti stagioni. Nelle precedenti stagioni noleggiavo alcune carte dal mercato di https://peakmonsters.com/ l'ultimo giorno della stagione. Con questa strategia ho avuto risultati altalenanti. Tre giorni fa ho scritto un post nel quale ho analizzato la mia strategia e ho spiegato nel dettaglio i motivi che mi hanno spinto ad abbandonare questa strategia.

Nell'ultima stagione appena conclusa ho deciso di prendere in noleggio un numero minore di carte ma di tenerle un giorno in più: quindi due giorni invece che uno.

Questa strategia ha funzionato decisamente meglio della mia strategia precedente e infatti a differenza della stagione precedente in questa stagione ho raggiunto il mio obbiettivo: ritornare nella lega Champion di Splinterlands!

Due giorni prima della fine della stagione ero in lega Gold I e avevo un punteggio di rating di 2665 punti e un punteggio power di 206280 punti.

Sono partito dalla lega Gold I e ho concluso la stagione in lega Champion III con un punteggio di rating di 3946 punti e ho occupato la posizione numero 141 della lega Champion.

Ho completato 418 battaglie e il mio win rate è stato del 53.59% leggermente più basso del mio win rate totale che è del 55.13%.

Per superare il punteggio power di 500000 punti che è il requisito per l'accesso alle leghe Champion di Splinterlands ho noleggiato in totale 32 carte dal mercato di Peakmonsters:

Tranne Spirit of the Forest di livello 3 ho scelto di noleggiare solo carte che avevano il Termination Escrow uguale a 0 (nessuna penale in caso di interruzione anticipata del contratto di noleggio). Come puoi vedere dall'immagine successiva ho interrotto tutti i contratti di noleggio con scadenza superiore ad un giorno.

Il noleggio delle 30 carte che ho elencato prima mi ha permesso di incrementare il mio punteggio power di oltre 3200000 punti.

Per il noleggio delle carte ho speso 0.82$ al giorno e avendo mantenuto il noleggio attivo per due giorni ho speso in totale 1.64$.

Nella stagione precedente avevo noleggiato 41 carte per un solo giorno e avevo speso in totale 1.38$.

Ho speso leggermente di più ma se nella precedente stagione mi sono fermato in lega Diamond I, in quest'ultima stagiono ho raggiunto la lega Champion III e cosa altrettanto importante ho avuto più tempo e tranquillità per raggiungere il mio obbiettivo.

Nella prossima stagione adotterò e ripeterò la stessa strategia per verificare se la strategia che ho seguito in quest'ultima stagione è effettivamente giusta oppure se ho avuto solo fortuna.

Adesso ti mostro la ricompensa di fine stagione che ho ottenuto.

La mia ricompensa di fine stagione

Nella precedente stagione ero arrivato in lega Diamond I e avevo aperto 60 forzieri. Questa volta ho ricevuto 20 forzieri in più e ho aperto un totale di 80 forzieri.

Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere le carte che ho trovato nei forzieri.

Ho trovato 19 carte su 80 forzieri. I forzieri possono contenere tre tipologie di premi: Carte, DEC, Pozioni. La probabilità di trovare una carta in ogni forziere è esattamente di 1/3 e quindi ho trovato meno carte rispetto alla probabilità media che è di 26,6 carte su 80 forzieri (80/3).

Ho trovato 14 carte comuni, 4 carte rare, 1 carta epiche e nessuna carta dorata. La carta di maggior valore che ho trovato è Axemaster che ha un valore sul mercato di 1.59 $ e un valore di conversione in DEC di 200.

Il valore totale delle carte che ho trovato all'interno dei forzieri è di 2.252 $

DEC e Pozioni

Ho trovato anche 25 Pozioni e un totale di 806 token DEC.

Oggi 15 maggio 2021, 806 DEC equivalgono al valore di 1.71 HIVE (Highest BID su LeoDex/HiveEngine)

Come puoi vedere dai calcoli indicati nell'immagine seguente il valore in dollari di 1593 token DEC è di 0.80 $

Conclusione

Adesso faccio un po di calcoli per determinare il valore totale della ricompensa stagionale:

costo totale noleggio carte: 1.64 $
valore totale delle carte trovate nei forzieri: 2.252 $
valore totale dei token DEC trovati nei forzieri: 0.80 $

Il profitto totale è stato di - 1.64 $ + 2.252 $ + 0.8 $ = 1.412 $.

Il cambio di strategia mi ha permesso di ritornare in lega Champion ma la ricompensa di fine stagione non è stata molto fortunata. Chiudo comunque in positivo e sono sicuro che la prossima volta andrà decisamente meglio.
