Rising Star: I need more fans! Again! - My buying strategy

Hello hivers and Rising Star players, today I reached level 75 in the game of Rising Star.

Level 75 is an important level because it is a requirement to be able to play the Band Auditions mission. The Band Auditions mission is the last mission in the Local Gig Circuit game zone and is the mission that will allow me to form a band. In the Rising Star game, forming a band is equivalent to unlocking 4 "Band Member" slots. In the following image you can see the 4 "Band Member" slots.

Every time you complete the Band Auditions mission you have a 1/5 chance of unlocking a Band Member slot. So in the average case I'll unlock all Band Member slots after completing 20 Band Auditions missions and I'll be lucky if I succeed in less than 20 missions and unlucky if I have to complete more than 20 missions.

Level 75 is only one of the requirements of the Band Auditions mission, in fact there are four total requirements:

  • A Number of Fans greater than or equal to 1500.
  • level 75
  • Time required to complete the mission: 240 minutes
  • 100% of energy.

I thought I had all the requirements but today I realised I'm missing just one requirement...

I need more Fans!

At the time of writing this post I have a total of FANS equal to 1466 so I am only missing 34 Fans to be able to access the Band Auditions mission.

In this situation I have two options:

  • complete more missions and wait to receive a number of Temporary Fans to exceed a total number of 1500 Fans. Temporary Fans are received as a random reward from completing Missions but have a temporary duration of 8 hours.
  • Buy one or more cards with the Fans attribute greater than 34 points.

I decided to buy a card from the Rising Star market right away because I want to increase the number of my fans permanently so that I can do the Band Auditions mission as many times as I want without having to wait for my number of fans to increase after receiving temporary fans.

I want to increase the number of my Fans but at the same time I don't want to increase the value of my Ego so I looked at the Rising Star market and did some calculations to choose the best card or cards to buy with the following characteristics:

  • a Fans attribute greater than or equal to 34 points.
  • a Fans attribute less than or equal to the SKill attribute (so as not to increase the score of my Ego).

In order to choose the cheapest card to buy, from the ones I selected, I calculated the FANS/$ ratio using SWAP.HIVE tokens as payment method and I also calculated the FANS/$ ratio using STARBITS tokens.

The FANS/$ ratio indicates how many Fans I get for every dollar I spend, so the higher the value of this ratio, the cheaper my purchase is. As you can see from the image below, I built a table to quickly calculate the FANS/$ ratio.

Based on the FANS/$ ratio the best possible purchase was the R22 Derek card using SWAP.HIVE tokens as a payment method.

In fact, the R22 Derek card has the highest FANS/$ value: 198.8071 among cards that have the Skill attribute greater than or equal to the Fans attribute.

Once I have chosen the card I want to buy, I can proceed to buy the R22 Derek card offered for sale by the player @musicuniversity at the price of 1.25 SWAP.HIVE.

There are two ways to purchase Rising Star cards:

  • Rising Star Marketplace section.

After the purchase I went to the Your Collection section of Rising Star and clicked on the CLICK HERE at the top as indicated by the arrows in the next picture.

This is an operation that new players often don't know or don't perform and that's why I wanted to show it also in this post. In fact if you don't do this operation the card(s) you bought will not be added to your card collection.

Now the number of my Fans has increased and I can perform the Band Auditions mission.

Ho bisogno di più fans! - La mia strategia di acquisto

Ciao hivers e giocatori di Rising Star, oggi ho raggiunto il livello 75 nel gioco di Rising Star.

Il livello 75 è un livello importante perchè è un requisito per poter svolgere la missione Band Auditions. La missione Band Auditions è l'ultima missione della zona di gioco Local Gig Circuit ed è la missione che permette di formare una band musicale. Nel gioco di Rising Star formare una banda musicale equivale a sbloccare 4 slot "Band Member". Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere i 4 slot "Band Member".

Ogni volta che si completa la missione Band Auditions si ha 1/5 di probabilità di sbloccare uno slot Band Member. Quindi nel caso medio sbloccherò tutti gli slot Band Member dopo aver completato 20 missioni Band Auditions e sarò fortunato se riuscirò nel mio intento in meno di 20 missioni e viceversa sarò sfortunato se sarò costretto a completare un numero maggiore di 20 missioni.

Il livello 75 è solo uno dei requisiti della missione Band Auditions infatti i requisiti totali sono quattro:

  • un numero di Fans maggiore o uguale a 1500
  • livello 75
  • tempo necessario per il completamento della missione: 240 minuti
  • 100% di energia

Pensavo di avere tutti i requisiti ma oggi mi sono accorto che mi manca un solo requisito...

Ho bisogno di più Fans!

Nel momento in cui scrivo questo post ho un numero di FANS totale uguale a 1466 e quindi mi mancano solo 34 Fans per poter accedere alla missione Band Auditions.

In questa situazione ho due possibilità:

  • completare altre missioni e aspettare di ricevere un numero di Fans Temporanei per superare un numero di 1500 Fans totali. I Fans temporanei si ricevono come premio casuale dal completamento delle missioni ma hanno una durata temporanea di 8 ore.
  • comprare una o più carte con l'attributo Fans maggiore di 34 punti.

Ho deciso di comprare subito una carta dal mercato di Rising Star perchè voglio incrementare il numero dei miei fans in modo permanente in modo da avere la possibilità di svolgere la missione Band Auditions tutte le volte che voglio e senza dover aspettare che il mio numero di Fans aumenti in seguito al ricevimento dei Fans temporanei.

Voglio aumentare il numero dei miei Fans ma allo stesso tempo non voglio aumentare il valore del mio Ego così ho visionato il mercato di Rising Star e ho fatto un pò di calcoli per scegliere la carta o le carte migliori da acquistare con le seguenti caratteristiche:

  • un attributo Fans maggiore o uguale a 34 punti
  • un attributo Fans minore o uguale all'attributo SKill (per non far aumentare il punteggio del mio Ego).

Per scegliere la carta più conveniente da acquistare, tra quelle da me selezionate, ho calcolato il rapporto FANS/$ utilizzando come metodo di pagamento i token SWAP.HIVE e ho calcolato anche il rapporto FANS/$ utilizzando i token STARBITS.

Il rapporto FANS/$ mi dice quanti Fans ottengo per ogni dollaro speso e quindi più il valore di questo rapporto è alto e più il mio acquisto è conveniente. Come puoi vedere dall'immagine seguente, ho costruito una tabella per calcolare velocemente il rapporto FANS/$.

In base al rapporto FANS/$ il miglior acquisto possibile è risultata la carta R22 Derek utilizzando come metodo di pagamento i token SWAP.HIVE.

Infatti la carta R22 Derek ha il valore FANS/$ più alto: 198,8071 tra le carte che hanno l'attributo Skill maggiore o uguale all'attributo Fans.

Scelta la carta da acquistare posso procedere all'acquisto della carta R22 Derek messa in vendita dal giocatore @musicuniversity al prezzo di 1.25 SWAP.HIVE.
