Hi friends, the protagonist of this post is the **Serpent of Eld** card.

**Serpent of Eld** is a card from the **Untamed** collection and is a card from the water element.
It is a very valid card:
- Has **good speed (4)**
- Has an interesting ability: **Dodge**

This ability coupled with good speed gives Serpent of Eld a high chance of avoiding one or more attacks.
- It has a mana cost that's right for its characteristics.
- Has a **good attack (3)**
- Has **2 armor points**
- The only major weakness is the life points: **only 5 life** points are very few for a card to be deployed in first position.

In the battle of this post I had the following conditions to respect:

First position

I put **Serpent of Eld** (The protagonist of the contest) in first position.
His speed and skill offer good protection to the cards in subsequent positions.

Second position
***
In second position I put **Spirit Miner** (Level 1). Spirit Miner is a very strong and useful legendary card. In my battles it's a card I use a lot in combination with the summoner Alric Stormbringher.
Spirit Miner has the same ability as Serpent of Eld.
I chose the second position because, in the case Serpent of Eld is eliminated immediately, his speed together with his ability give good guarantees to avoid melee and distance attacks.

In third position I put **Crustacean King (Level 3)**.
One of the cards that I always try to deploy in battle. The healing ability is very valuable and at level 3 Crustacena King can also attack. I always put this card in a central position because it has few life points and therefore must be protected.

In fourth position I deployed **Mischievous Mermaid**.
The ideal position is central because it only has 3 life points. It is a very good card as it has a magical attack of 2 and an above average speed (4).

In fifth position I deployed **Naga WindMaster**. Its ability allows you to reduce attacks from ranged attack cards by one point.

In sixth and final position I deployed **Phantom of the Abyss**. This is one of my favorite cards. It is a legendary card. Together with Alric Stormbringher, he purchases a 4 point magic attack. It is a devastating card because it manages to avoid many attacks thanks to its high speed and its ability.

The summoner I have chosen is **Alric Stormbringher**. Thanks to his ability, all cards with magic attack get an extra attack point. When I have a lot of mana available I often choose Alric Stormbringher because I have good cards with magic attack.

Considerations

**Why did I win the battle?**
My opponent has deployed excellent level 4 cards.
Fundamental was the choice of the summoner ** Alric Stormbringher ** which allowed me to have a total magical attack of 10.

Thanks to this strong magic attack, the opponent's level 4 "Flesh Golem" card is eliminated in the first round.
***

Naga Windmaster also made his contribution. Thanks to his ability 2 strong cards of my opponent have become less dangerous.

Another help came from my opponent.
In fact, placing **Javelin Throwler** in second position is a mistake. Better this way :)

Honestly before this contest I never used Serpent of Eld because I have much better cards to be deployed in first position like ** Sea Monster **. If we exclude the Alpha and Beta cards, Serpent of Eld is a really good choice.

Ciao amici, oggi vi parlo della carta **Serpent of Eld**.

Serpent of Eld è una carta della collezione Untamed ed è una carta dell'elemento acqua.
E' una carta molto valida:
- Ha una buona velocità (4)
- Ha una interessante abilità: Schivata
Questa abilità abbinata alla buona velocità conferisce a Serpent of Eld un'alta probabilità di evitare uno o più attacchi.
- Ha un costo in mana giusto per le sue caratteristiche.
- Ha un buon attacco (3)
- Ha 2 punti armatura
- L'unico grande difetto sono i punti vita: solo 5 punti vita sono davvero pochi per una carta da schierare in prima posizione.

Prima posizione

Ho messo **Serpent of Eld** (Il protagonista del contest) in prima posizione.
La sua velocità e la sua abilità offrono una buona protezione alle carte nelle posizioni successive. Se consideriamo solo le carte **Untamed** Serpent of Eld è un'ottima carta da schierare in prima posizione.

Seconda posizione
***
In seconda posizione ho messo **Spirit Miner** (Livello 1). Spirit Miner è una carta leggendaria molto forte e utile. Nelle mie battaglie è una carta che uso molto in abbinamento all'evocatore Alric Stormbringher.
Spirit Miner ha la stessa abilità di Serpent of Eld.
Ho scelto la seconda posizione perchè, nel caso Serpent of Eld viene eliminato subito, la sua velocità insieme alla sua abilità danno buone garanzie di evitare attacchi da mischia e dalla distanza.

Terza posizione

In terza posizione ho messo **Crustacean King (Livello 3)**.
Una delle carte che cerco sempre di schierare in battaglia. L'abilità di cura è molto preziosa e al livello 3 Crustacena King può anche attaccare. Lo schiero in posizione centrale perchè ha pochi punti vita e quindi va protetto.

Quarta posizione

In quarta posizione ho schierato **Mischievous Mermaid**.
La posizione ideale è centrale perchè ha solo 3 punti vita. E' una carta molto buona poichè ha un attacco magico di 2 e una velocità sopra la media (4).

Quinta posizione

In quinta posizione ho schierato **Naga WindMaster**. La sua abilità permette di ridurre di un punto gli attacchi delle carte con attacco dalla distanza.

Sesta posizione

In sesta e ultima posizione ho schierato **Phantom of the Abyss**. Questa è una delle mie carte preferite. E' una carta leggendaria. Insieme a Alric Stormbringher acquista un attacco magico di 4 punti. E' una carta devastante perchè riesce ad evitare tanti attacchi grazie alla sua elevata velocità e alla sua abilità.

L'evocatore che ho scelto è **Alric Stormbringher**.Grazie alla sua abilità tutte le carte con attacco magico ottengono un punto di attacco in più. Quando ho tanti mana a disposizione scelgo spesso Alric Stormbringher perchè ho buone carte con attacco magico.

Considerazioni

Perchè ho vinto la battaglia?
Il mio avversario ha schierato ottime carte tutte di livello 4.
Fondamentale è stata la scelta dell'evocatore **Alric Stormbringher** che mi ha permesso di avere un attacco magico totale di 10.

Grazie a questo forte attacco magico la carta avversaria "Flesh Golem" di livello 4 viene eliminata al primo round.
***
***
Anche **Naga Windmaster** ha dato il suo contributo. Grazie alla sua abilità 2 forti carte del mio avversario sono diventate meno pericolose.
***
***
Un'altro aiuto è arrivato dal mio avversario.
Infatti posizionare **Javelin Throwler** in seconda posizione è un errore. Meglio così :)

Sinceramente prima di questo contest non ho mai utilizzato Serpent of Eld perchè ho carte decisamente migliori da schierare in prima posizione come **Sea Monster**. Se escludiamo le carte Alpha e Beta, Serpent of Eld è davvero un'ottima scelta.
