Splinterforge: One more use case for Splinterlands cards - My first day of play, My First Overview
Splinterlands was my first blockchain-based game I played and after more than three years since I joined it is still my favorite blockchain game. Today I tried a game that is not created by the Splinterlands team but is closely related to Splinterlands because it is based on using Splinterlands cards: Splinterforge.
Splinterforge is a play to earn like Splinterlands but unlike Splinterlands it is not a Player Vs Player (PvP) game but is a Player Vs Environment (PvE) game.
To play Splinterforge you must:
- have a Hive account
- use Hive Keychain for the login
- you must have some Splinterlands cards.
If you are a Splinterlands player like me you have everything you need to start playing Splinterforge and can immediately start collecting in-game rewards without making any initial investment.
If you are a Splinterlands player you will also find it extremely easy to understand the gameplay of Splinterforge which has many similarities to the Splinterlands game but also differences.
There are 4 Bosses that have different stats and abilities and each player can choose which Boss to start a battle with. The Bosses have fixed abilities and random abilities that change at intervals.
To start a battle you simply have to click on the image of one of the 4 bosses I showed you earlier and on the next screen you have to click on BATTLE.
A screen will open where you will see all your Splinterlands summoner cards. In the following image you can see the summoner cards from my Splinterlands collection.
In a Splinterlands battle you can choose only one summoner while on Splinterforge you have to choose and use two summoners in battle.
The other difference from Splinterlands is that the level of the summoners does not count!
After choosing the two summoners, it is necessary to choose the Monsters to be sent into battle.
You can choose a maximum of 7 Monster cards and you can use a maximum of 45 mana points per battle.
In the following image you can see my monster card selection screen.
If you are a Splinterlands player you will surely have noticed a difference in the abilities of the cards. In fact, Splinterlands cards retain many abilities but some are different on Splinterforge.
For example the level 2 Manticore card that on Splinterlands has the Flying and Reach abilities on Splinterforge loses the Reach ability which is replaced by the 1.5x DMG ability.
The differences between Splinterlands and Splinterforge are summarized in the following table (Forge Rules).
In addition to the monster cards in battle will always go one Hero card.
There are three selectable heroes from the Heroes section of Splinterforge (Ranger, Wizard and Warrior).
The basic hero has no abilities and has the battle statistics you can see in the following image.
To upgrade your hero you need to purchase and open Alpha Crates from the Shop section of Splinterforge.
The Alpha Crates can be purchased using three payment methods:
- 3000 DEC (Shop section of Splinterforge).
- 3000 FORGE (Shop section of Splinterforge).
- 4.4 SWAP.HIVE (Lowest Ask CRATE token on Hive Engine)
In the following image you can see a battle I played today on Splinterforge.
On the left is a box showing all the actions performed during the battle. It is possible to speed up the progress of the battle and enable or disable effects, sounds and music. You can immediately see the results of the battle by clicking on Skip to Rewards.
In the following image you can see the results of the battle.
I earned:
- 102 points
- 6 ELECTRUM
- 5,107 FORGIUM
The 102 points are useful to place in the leaderboard that has the same name as the BOSS I fought and rewards the top 100 players in the leaderboard with an amount of FORGE.
The ELECTRUM are needed to be able to play battles. In the upper right corner on Splinterforge there is a bar indicating the amount of ELECTRUM available.
Each mana used in battle consumes one ELECTRUM. In the battle I showed you earlier I used 45 mana and thus consumed 45 ELECTRUM but then gained 6 from the battle. The ELECTRUM bar recharges with time and has a maximum capacity of 500 units but you can also recharge it or increase the maximum capacity by buying potions.
The FORGIUM tokens are the FORGE tokens that are the native tokens of Splinterforge and can be used to purchase items from the Splinterforge Shop or can be transferred to Hive Engine where they can be sold in exchange for SWAP.HIVE tokens.
In the battle I showed you I earned 5,107 FORGIUM which I could transfer to Hive Engine and sell them in exchange for 0.00809904 SWAP:HIVE.
Splinterforge is a game that is one more use case for Splinterlands cards. Splinterforge is a play to earn game but for a Splinterlands player like me it is practically also a free to play because it is possible to collect in-game rewards without making any initial investment and only by using the Splinterlands cards I have in my collection.
In my first daily test I played 20 battles for which I spent a few minutes of time and earned 81 FORGIUM = 81 FORGE = 0.1284 SWAP.HIVE
Over the next few days I will continue to play and continue to collect in-game rewards until I reach an amount of 3000 FORGE which I will use to buy my first Alpha Crate.
Today I wanted to share my first battles and my first gains that I got without using any resources but only a few minutes of time.
My first impression of Splinterforge is very positive but it is still early for me to choose and evaluate possible game and/or investment strategies. After I gain more experience I will publish a post with a more in-depth financial and gaming evaluation.

Oggi ho provato un gioco che è non è stato creato dal team di Splinterlands ma che è strettamente collegato a Splinterlands perchè si basa sull'utilizzo delle carte di Splinterlands: Splinterforge.
Splinterforge è un play to earn come Splinterlands ma a differenza di Splinterlands non è un gioco Player Vs Player (PvP) ma è un gioco Player Vs Environment (PvE).
Per giocare a Splinterforge devi:

Se sei un giocatore di Splinterlands come me hai tutto quello che ti serve per iniziare a giocare a Splinterforge e puoi subito iniziare a raccogliere le ricompense di gioco senza fare alcun investimento iniziale.
Se sei un giocatore di Splinterlands come me troverai anche estremamente facile capire il funzionamento del gioco che ha molte similitudini con il gioco di Splinterlands ma anche delle differenza.
Ci sono 4 Boss che hanno statistiche e abilità diverse e ogni giocatore può scegliere con quale Boss iniziare una battaglia. I Boss hanno abilità fisse e abilità random che cambiano ad intervalli di tempo.
Per iniziare una battaglia devi semplicemente cliccare sull'immagine di uno dei 4 boss che ti ho mostrato prima e nella schermata successiva devi cliccare su BATTLE.
Si aprirà una schermata in cui visualizzerai tutte le tue carte evocatore di Splinterlands. Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere le carte evocatore della mia collezione di Splinterlands.
In una battaglia di Splinterlands è possibile scegliere un solo evocatore mentre su Splinterforge devi scegliere e utilizzare in battaglia due evocatori.
L'altra differenza rispetto a Splinterlands è che il livello degli evocatori non conta!
Dopo aver scelto i due evocatori è necessario scegliere i Monsters da inviare in battaglia.
E' possibile scegliere un massimo di 7 carte Mostro ed è possibile utilizzare un massimo di 45 punti di mana per battaglia.
Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere la mia schermata di selezione delle carte mostro.
Se sei un giocatore di Splinterlands avrai sicuramente notato una differenza nelle abilità delle carte. Infatti le carte di Splinterlands mantengono molte abilità ma alcune sono diverse su Splinterforge.
Ad esempio la carta Manticore di livello 2 che su Splinterlands ha le abilità Flying e Reach su Splinterforge perde l'abilità Reach che viene sostituita dall'abilità 1.5x DMG.
Le diffenze tra Splinterlands e Splinterforge sono sintetizzate nella seguente tabella (Forge Rules).
Oltre alle carte mostro in battaglia andrà sempre anche una carta Eroe.
Ci sono tre eroi selezionabili dalla sezione Heroes di Splinterforge (Ranger, Wizard e Warrior).
L'eroe base non ha abilità e ha le statistiche di battaglia che puoi vedere nell'immagine seguente.
Per potenziare il proprio eroe è necessario acquistare e aprire gli Alpha Crate dalla sezione Shop di Splinterforge.
Gli Alpha Crate possono essere acquistati utilizzando tre metodi di pagamento:
- 3000 DEC (sezione Shop di Splinterforge)
- 3000 FORGE (sezione Shop di Splinterforge)
- 4.4 SWAP.HIVE (Lowest Ask CRATE token su Hive Engine)
Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere una battaglia che ho giocato oggi su Splinterforge.
Sulla sinistra c'è un riquadro che mostra tutte le azioni svolte durante la battaglia. E' possibile velocizzare lo svolgimento della battaglia e abilitare o disabilitare effetti, suoni e musica. E' possibile vedere subito i risultati della battaglia cliccando su Skip to Rewards.
Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere i risultati della battaglia.
Ho guadagnato:
- 102 punti
- 6 ELECTRUM
- 5.107 FORGIUM
I 102 punti servono per posizionarsi nella classifica che ha lo stesso nome del BOSS che ho combattuto e che premia i primi 100 giocatori in classifica con un quantitativo di FORGE.
Gli ELECTRUM servono per poter giocare le battaglie. In alto a destra su Splinterforge c'è una barra che indica il quantitativo di ELECTRUM disponibili.
Ogni mana utilizzato in battaglia consuma un ELECTRUM. Nella battaglia che ti ho mostrato prima ho utilizzato 45 mana e quindi ho consumato 45 ELECTRUM ma ne ho guadagnati poi 6 dalla battaglia. La barra degli ELECTRUM si ricarica con il tempo e ha una capienza massima di 500 unità ma è possibile anche ricaricarla o aumentare la massima capacità acquistando delle pozioni.
I FORGIUM sono i token FORGE che sono i token nativi di Splinterforge e possono essere utilizzati per acquistare items dallo Shop di Splinterforge oppure possono essere trasferiti su Hive Engine dove possono essere venduti in cambio di token SWAP.HIVE.
Nella battaglia che ti ho mostrato prima ho guadagnato 5.107 FORGIUM che potrei trasferire su Hive Engine e venderli in cambio di 0.00809904 SWAP:HIVE.
Splinterforge è un gioco che rappresenta un ulteriore caso d'uso per le carte di Splinterlands. Splinterforge è un gioco play to earn ma per un giocatore di Splinterlands come me è in pratica anche un free to play perchè è possibile raccogliere le ricompense di gioco senza fare investimenti iniziali e solo utilizzando le carte di Splinterlands che ho nella mia collezione.
Nel mio primo test giornaliero ho giocato 20 battaglie per le quali ho speso pochi minuti di tempo e ho guadagnato 81 FORGIUM = 81 FORGE = 0.1284 SWAP.HIVE
Nei prossimi giorni continuerò a giocare e continuerò a raccogliere le ricompense di gioco fino ad arrivare ad un quantitativo di 3000 FORGE che utilizzerò per comprare il mio primo Alpha Crate.
Oggi ho voluto condividere le mie prime battaglie e i miei primi guadagni che ho ottenuto senza impiegare risorse ma solo pochi minuti di tempo.
La mia prima impressione su Splinterforge è molto positiva ma è ancora presto per me per scegliere e valutare possibili strategie di gioco e/o di investimento. Dopo che avrò accumulato maggiore esperienza pubblicherò un post con una valutazione finanziaria e di gioco più approfondita.
