A season to forget! Considerations + End of Season Reward
Hello friends, Today, September 30, another season of Splinterlands has ended. It was a season different from the others because, with the introduction of the new league tables, phase 3 of the Collection Power has been completed.
In my two previous posts on Splinterlands I had established a strategy linked to goals to be achieved before the end of the season just ended:
Goal 1. To reach a Power score of 500000. Goal 2. To finish within the twenty-fifth place in the Diamond ranking. Goal 3. To enter the Champion III or II league (Only in case I did not reach goal number 2).
Goal 1
Achieving a Power score of 500000
The first goal I achieved without any difficulty. I rented 20 cards from Peakmonsters market (https://peakmonsters.com/) and went from a Power score of 254814 to a Power score of 502.933.
Today I finished all the contracts that had a Termination Escrow null or very low.
To increase my Power score by just over 250000 points I spent a little less than 6 HIVE (0.91 $).
Goal 2
Classify me within the twenty-fifth place in the Diamond ranking.
This is perhaps the most painful note of all. This morning I had a rating above 3700 points. Everything was under control. If I had not reached the twenty-fifth place in the Diamond ranking I would have chosen to advance in the Champion III league and I would have taken at least 80 chests.
Instead, even if I lined up my battle formation in time, the following screenshot appeared:
and my battle ended with my defeat by surrender.
I lost a lot of battles for the same reason and my rating suddenly dropped below 3400 rating points.

I asked for help on the Discord group of Splinterlands and found that the problem happened to those who used Hive Keychain and logged on https://steemmonsters.com/ . Practically what I was doing :)
If it happens to you the solution is:
- Login from the site: https://splinterlands.com/ (instead of https://steemmonsters.com/ )
- Enter Username and Private Posting Key instead of using Hive Keychain.
Technical problems can happen especially during updates. The development team of Splinterlands is a fantastic team and I'm sure they will solve this technical problem as soon as possible.
In the end I finished the season with a very low rating and only got 60 chests. However, I am convinced that even if there had not been these small technical problems I would not have been able to reach the twenty-fifth position.
Goal 3
Enter the Champion II League
Failed the second goal, also failed the third. With a rating below 3400 points and only one hour available time I decided to abandon and give up my third goal.
But now let's see how my end-of-season reward went.

Here is the reward I got today September 30.
Value of 245 DEC = 0.2 $
The total value of the reward: 0.803 $
The reward could have gone much better but it's okay :)
The beauty of Splinterlands is that you have fun and at the same time you earn DECs and cards.
Goals and Strategy for the current season
The strategy I will follow in the season just started is the same as the previous season.
My main goal is to increase my Power score. To achieve this goal it will be important to optimize my card collection. I will put on sale all the cards that I do not use and all the cards, especially the gold cards, which have a high value in $ but have a relatively low Power score value.
Conclusion
The introduction of the new rankings has raised the level of difficulty but at the same time has put the strategy back in the foreground at least within the individual rankings. I consider Splinterlands a nice game but I consider it above all a good investment and the changes implemented in the last month have produced:
- an increase in the value of my card collection
- an increase in value of DEC tokens.
- in the Diamond league I met a few bots
From an economic point of view Splinterlands has gained value.
In conclusion... I have failed 2 of the three goals I had set myself. The reward at the end of the season was unlucky. It was definitely a season to forget but the beauty of Splinterlands is that: one season ends and another season begins immediately :)

# Nei miei due post precedenti su Splinterlands avevo stabilito una strategia collegata a degli obbiettivi da raggiungere entro la fine della stagione appena conclusa:
Obbiettivo 1. Raggiungere un punteggio Power di 500000. Obbiettivo 2. Classificarmi entro il venticinquesimo posto nella classifica Diamond. Obbiettivo 3. Entrare nella lega Champion II (Solo nel caso in cui non avessi raggiunto l'obbiettivo numero 2).
Obbiettivo 1
Raggiungere un punteggio Power di 500000
Il primo obbiettivo l'ho raggiunto senza nessuna difficoltà. Ho noleggiato 20 carte dal mercato di Peakmonster (https://peakmonsters.com/) e sono passato da un punteggio Power di 254814 ad un punteggio Power di 502.933.
Oggi ho terminato tutti i contratti che avevano un Termination Escrow nullo o molto basso.
Per aumentare il mio punteggio Power di poco più di 250000 punti ho speso poco meno di 6 HIVE (0.91 $)
Ho speso leggermente di più della stagione precedente (0.639 $) ma sono soddisfatto. Spendere solo 0.91$ per aumentare il punteggio Power di 250000 è la conferma che il noleggio delle carte sul sito di Peakmonsters è la soluzione più economica e soprattutto veloce per far crescere il proprio Collection Power.
Obbiettivo 2
Classificarmi entro il venticinquesimo posto nella classifica Diamond.
Questa è forse la nota più dolente di tutte. Stamattina avevo un rating superiore ai 3700 punti. Tutto era sotto controllo. Se non avessi raggiunto il venticinquesimo posto avrei scelto di avanzare di lega e avrei preso almeno 80 forzieri.
Invece, anche se schieravo la mia formazione di battaglia per tempo, mi compariva la seguente schermata:
e la mia battaglia terminava con la mia sconfitta per resa.
Ho perso tante battaglie per lo stesso motivo e il mio rating è sceso in modo repentino sotto i 3400 punti di rating.

Ho chiesto subito aiuto sul gruppo Discord di Splinterlands e ho scoperto che il problema succedeva a chi utilizzava Hive Keychain e si loggava sul sito https://steemmonsters.com/ . Praticamente quello che facevo io :)
Se dovesse capitare anche a voi dovete la soluzione è:
- Fare il login dal sito: https://splinterlands.com/
- Inserire Username e Private Posting Key invece di usare Hive Keychain.
I problemi tecnici possono capitare soprattutto in fase di aggiornamenti. Il team di sviluppo di Splinterlands è un team fantastico e sono sicuro risolveranno al più presto questo problema tecnico.
Alla fine ho terminato la stagione con un rating davvero basso e ho ottenuto solo 60 forzieri. Sono però convinto che anche se non ci fossero stati questi piccoli problemi tecnici non sarei riuscito a raggiungere la venticinquesima posizione.
Obbiettivo 3
Entrare nella lega Champion II
Fallito il secondo obbiettivo è fallito anche il secondo. Con un rating sotto i 3400 punti e una sola ora di tempo disponibile ho deciso di abbandonare e rinunciare al mio terzo obbiettivo.
Ma adesso vediamo come è andata la mia ricompensa di fine stagione.

Ecco la ricompensa che ho ottenuto oggi 30 Settembre.

Poteva andare molto meglio la ricompensa ma va bene così :)
Il bello di Splinterlands è che ti diverti e allo stesso tempo guadagni DEC e carte.
Obbiettivi e Strategia per la stagione in corso
La strategia che seguirò nella stagione appena iniziata è la stessa della stagione precedente.
Il mio obbiettivo principale è aumentare il mio punteggio Power. Per raggiungere l'obbiettivo sarà importante ottimizzare la mia collezione di carte. Metterò in vendita tutte le carte che non uso e tutte le carte, in particolare le oro, che hanno un valore alto in $ ma che hanno un valore relativamente basso di punteggio Power.
Conclusione
L'introduzione delle nuove classifiche ha alzato il livello di difficoltà ma allo stesso tempo ha rimesso la strategia in primo piano almeno all'interno delle singole classifiche. Considero Splinterlands un bel gioco ma lo considero soprattutto un buon investimento e le modifiche attuate nell'ultimo mese hanno prodotto:
- un aumento di valore della mia collezione di carte
- un aumento di valore dei token DEC.
- nella lega Diamond ho incontrato pochi Bot Dal punto di vista economico Splinterlands ha guadagnato valore.
In conclusione... Ho fallito 2 dei tre obbiettivi che mi ero prefissato. La ricompensa di fine stagione è stata poco fortunata. E' stata decisamente una stagione da dimenticare ma il bello di Splinterlands è che: finita una stagione ne inizia subito un'altra :)
