Hi friends, with this post I participate in the beautiful weekly Splinterlands contest: "Share your battle".
This week's theme is the card: "**Maggots**".
***
#
Maggots
***

***
Each card has its own characteristics and statistics.
***
#
Main Features
***
##
Common card of the Death element
***
Maggots is a common card and is a card of the death element.
It can be summoned by a death element summoner or a dragon summoner.
Here are some examples of summoners who can summon Maggots:
***
Value and Statistics
Maggots is a community card and for this reason it has a low value: an estimated value of 0.03 $ and a DEC value of 10.
***
Its statistics by level are as follows:
***
***
It becomes a much more interesting card when it reaches level 4.
***
#
Pros and Cons
***
Now let's analyze what are the pros and cons of Maggots
***
#
Pro
***
Maggots has a unique pro and it's his ability.
1. The ability: Opportunity

***
It is a good ability that allows Maggots to attack the monster that has less life and therefore facilitates the elimination of an opposing card.
***
#
Cons
** *
#
1. Speed
***
***
It has the lowest speed and the speed decides the attack order. For this reason it will almost always attack last.
***
#
2. Attack Points
***
***
The attack strength is modest: only one point of attack.
To have two attack points, you must combine 30 Maggots cards.
***
#
2. Life Points
***
***
A single health point makes Maggots a fragile card that needs to be protected.
***
The cost in mana (3) is average and therefore it is neither a pros nor cons.

When I use Maggots
***
Honestly, this card does not excite me and I do not use it often.
I have better cards available on my deck.
I didn't have this card on my deck and I bought it only to participate in the "Share your Battle" contest that I really like.
There are far better cards than Maggots such as:
***
##
Favorable circumstances for Maggots
***
Each battle has its own fighting rules:
In battles that have the following combat rules, Maggots can become useful.
***
***
In this circumstance Maggots would lose one of his defects (the low speed) and acquire a maximum speed and could easily dodge many attacks.
***

***
In this circumstance and in a battle with many mana available, it becomes a valid and useful choice.
***

***
There are not many cards with mana lower than 4 and with melee attack and in this circumstance Maggots becomes very useful.
***
##
With which summoner
***
Only one melee attack point is small and therefore I use Maggots only together with summoners who are able to increase its attack strength as **Daria Dragonscale**:

In the battle of this post I had the following conditions to respect:
***

***
As you well know the maximum of deployable cards is 7 (1 summoner + 6 monsters).
I chose to deploy (in order of position):
***
**Goblin Mech - Maggots - Twisted Jester - Furious Chicken**
**Zintar Mortalis (Summoner)**
***
#
Considerations
***
The only life point of **Maggots** forces you to choose a central position, a position that guarantees a certain protection.
In this battle Maggots' ability is canceled by the ability of the card in first position deployed by my opponent. In fact, in first position there is ShieldBearer which has the ability to attract all attacks on itself.
***

***
I put Maggots in second position protected by my **GoblinMech** who with 8 life points and 6 armor points is able to protect him.
Despite his weaknesses, Maggots was helpful and contributed to the battle's victory.
In third position I deployed Twisted Jester a card that I often use: It has a low mana cost and has 2 ranged attack points and 4 life points. Twisted Jester is a really good card and I'm thinking of upgrading it.
In the last position I deployed the very useful Furious Chicken which allows to protect the friendly cards from a first attack from the distance or from a first magical attack.
I really like to participate in this contest and if you are registered in Splinterlands you must absolutely participate too.
Haven't you registered on Splinterlands yet?
