Hello friends and players of Splinterlands, It is very close to the end of the current season of Splinterlands.
To reach my goal I must necessarily rent some selected cards that allow me to:
- Increase my power score
- increase my strength in battle.
As I have done in previous seasons, I proceed in steps and increase the number of rented cards as I advance in the leagues and as I increase my power score.
My choice of cards to rent falls mainly on the legendary cards of the Dragone element** or the neutral element** which allow greater use in battles.
The level of my Summoners allows me to use legendary cards with a maximum level of 3. For this reason I will rent legendary cards of level 3 unless renting a legendary card of level 4 is cheaper than the same card of lower level.
A card that I really like and that I always rent first is the legendary Gold Dragon level 3 card.
As there are less than two days left until the end of the season I intend to keep the card for two days.
There are two rental options on the market:

Gold Dragon level 4 with a daily cost of 0.050$ without penalty in case of early termination of the rental contract (Termination Escrow)

Gold Dragon level 3 with a daily cost of 0.018$ but with a penalty in case of early termination of the rental contract of 0.08$.
If I bring the rental contract to its natural end the costs are easy to calculate and are clearly indicated by the Peakmonsters website.
In the case of the Gold Dragon card level 4 I would have to keep the card for 7 days and would have a total cost of 0.350$.
In the case of the card Gold Dragon level 3 I would have to keep the card 5 days and I would have a total cost of 0.115$
In my specific case I have to calculate the total cost for two days of rental.
In the case of Gold Dragon level 4 card I would spend (2 days rental):

That's why I rented the level 4 card even though my summoner can summon it at most at level 3.
The termination escrow is an element of weight in a rental and it is an insurance for the player who rents a card but in case of interruption it is a cost that affects a lot.
I wanted to make this example to clarify the mechanisms behind a card rental and I hope that the example will be of particular help to those who have never rented a card.

DEC
The value of the DEC (NFT of Splinterlands) as it is clear from the graph has remained quite stable in the last days.
In the first days of August 1 DEC was 0.00295 HIVE. On September 26th the value of 1 DEC was 0.00416 HIVE (Highest Bid). On November 5, 2020 the best bid for 1 DEC was 0.00852 HIVE (Highest Bid). On 8 November 2020, the best bid for 1 DEC was 0.00752 HIVE (Highest Bid). On 11 November 2020, the best bid (Highest Bid) was 0.00724 HIVE. Today 13 November 2020 the value of a DEC is 0.00731 HIVE.
I complete the mission in 10 battles with a 50% winrate:
- 5 victories
- 5 defeats
And here is the reward I got for completing the daily mission.
It was definitely a good reward:
- 2 common cards (total value 0.043$)
- 3 potions
- 1 pack of UNTAMED cards
- 1224 DEC
It was a good reward in particular for the number of DECs found: In fact 1224 DEC are equivalent to 8,94744 HIVE.

Ciao amici e giocatori di Splinterlands, manca davvero poco alla fine della stagione in corso di Splinterlands.
Per raggiungere il mio obbiettivo devo necessariamente noleggiare alcune carte selezionate che mi permettano di:
- aumentare il mio punteggio power
- aumentare la mia forza in battaglia.
Come ho fatto nelle precedenti stagioni procedo per gradi e aumento il numero di carte noleggiate man mano che avanzo nelle leghe e man mano che aumento il mio punteggio power.
La mia scelta delle carte da noleggiare ricade principalmente sulle carte leggendarie dell'elemento Dragone o dell'elemento neutrale che permettono un maggiore utilizzo nelle battaglie.
Il livello dei miei evocatori mi permette di utilizzare carte leggendarie con un livello massimo uguale a 3. Per questo motivo noleggerò carte leggendarie di livello 3 a meno che il noleggio di una carta leggendaria di livello 4 non sia più conveniente rispetto alla stessa carta di livello inferiore.
Una carta che mi piace molto e che noleggio sempre per prima è la carta leggendaria Gold Dragon di livello 3.
Poichè mancano meno di due giorni alla fine della stagione io ho intenzione di tenere la carta per due giorni.
Sul mercato ci sono due opzioni di noleggio:

Gold Dragon di livello 4 con un costo giornaliero di 0.050$ senza penale in caso di interruzione anticipata del contratto di noleggio (Termination Escrow)

Se porto il contratto di noleggio alla sua fine naturale i costi sono facili da calcolare e vengono indicati chiaramente dal sito di Peakmonsters.
Nel caso della carta Gold Dragon livello 4 dovrei tenere la carta per 7 giorni e avrei un costo totale di 0.350$
Nel caso della carta Gold Dragon livello 3 dovrei tenere la carta 5 giorni e avrei un costo totale di 0.115$
Nel mio caso specifico invece devo calcolare il costo totale per due giorni di noleggio.
Nel caso della carta Gold Dragon livello 4 spenderei (2 giorni di noleggio):
0.1$ (0.05$ * 2 giorni)
Nel caso della carta Gold Dragon livello 3 spenderei (2 giorni di noleggio):
0.015$ * 2 (giorni) + 0.08$ (Termination Escrow) =
0.11$
Ecco perchè ho noleggiato la carta di livello 4 anche se il mio evocatore può evocarla al massimo al livello 3.
Il termination escrow è un elemento di peso in un noleggio ed è un assicurazione per il giocatore che prende in noleggio una carta ma in caso di interruzione è un costo che incide parecchio.
Ho voluto fare questo esempio per chiarire i meccanismi che ci sono dietro un noleggio di carte e spero che l'esempio possa essere d'aiuto in particolare a chi non ha mai preso in noleggio una carta.

Il valore dei DEC (NFT di Splinterlands) come si evince chiaramente dal grafico è rimasto abbastanza stabile negli ultimi giorni.
Nei primi giorni di Agosto 1 DEC valeva 0.00295 HIVE Il 26 Settembre il valore di 1 DEC era 0.00416 HIVE (Highest Bid) Il 5 Novembre 2020 la migliore offerta di acquisto per 1 DEC era di 0.00852 HIVE (Highest Bid). il giorno 8 Novembre 2020 la migliore offerta di acquisto (Highest Bid) era di 0.00752 HIVE l'11 Novembre 2020 la migliore offerta di acquisto (Highest Bid) era di 0.00724 HIVE Oggi 13 Novembre 2020 il valore di un DEC è di 0.00731 HIVE.
Completo la missione in 10 battaglie con un winrate del 50%:
- 5 vittorie
- 5 sconfitte
Ed ecco la ricompensa che ho ottenuto per il completamento della missione giornaliera.
E' stata decisamente una buona ricompensa:
- 2 carte comuni (valore complessivo 0.043$)
- 3 pozioni
- 1 pacco di carte UNTAMED
- 1224 DEC
E' stata una buona ricompensa in particolare per il numero dei DEC trovati: Infatti 1224 DEC equivalgono a 8.94744 HIVE
Spesso le ricompense non sono entusiasmanti ma prima o poi quelle belle arrivano :)
