Hive is my favourite blockchain project and one of my goals is to try, play and invest in all Hive games. I play on 14 Hive based games but of the playable games developed on Hive I have yet to try 5 games, two I haven't tried due to my technical problems (I need a new PC) and the other 3 I haven't tried yet due to simple lack of free time but I hope to try them in the next few days.

Today I return to publish a post about a Hive game I started playing on 13 February 2023 and of which I also published 3 posts on my Hive blog: Stardom Play.

It has been almost two months since my last post on Stardom Play, a post I published on 14 March 2023, and today I share:

• my play activity
• some considerations on the STARDOM token
• an analysis of my investment 89 days after my registration

## My game progress

Stardom Play is an idle game that requires a few clicks a day and little time to play.

Honestly, in the past two months, I have not been very consistent in playing and completing the game missions.

Over the last couple of months I've had several commitments that have limited my free time and I've had to choose which games to devote more time to and which games to devote less time to. Idle games on my personal rating scale are in third place because in first place are games that have core gameplay such as Splinterlands and in second place are farming games such as dCrops and Hashkings.

In the last 60 days I could have completed 4 Violent Tower missions per day for a total of 360 completed missions but instead I only completed 109.

Although I have not been a frequent player and have skipped many game days I have reached game level 24 and am very close to level 25.

I should raise the fame bar to 100% because the way it is now (1%) drastically reduces the gain I can get from completing quests.

For example the mission Violent Towers which has a random reward of between 250 and 750 STARDOM has a fixed reward of 250 STARDOM for me because of the fame bar being at 1%.

In order not to have a penalty on quest rewards I should:

• purchase Equipment cards
• complete Cinematography Lesson missions.

Over the next few days I will use some of the rewards from the missions I complete to buy or plan to buy Equipment cards and then start completing the Cinematography Lesson missions.

By the way the Zone 2 missions will also be active soon as announced by Stardom Play in his Discord channel and the fan requirements of the Zone 1 missions will be increased.

## The STARDOM tokens

I consider idle games almost exclusively as investments rather than games and my investment strategy is influenced by two main elements:

• number of players
• value of game tokens.

I have not monitored the value of the STARDOM tokens for more than a month and when I looked at the graph a few days ago I was surprised to see how much value the STARDOM token has lost in less than a month.

The last time I checked the value of the STARDOM token was on 14 March 2023 and as you can see from the chart below, the STARDOM token has dropped in value as follows:

• -62.24% compared to the dollar value it had 89 days ago (Highest Bid Value)
• -58.17% compared to the dollar value it had 89 days ago (Lowest Ask Value)

Stardom Play is a young game and this loss in value is not worrying because new features and new use cases could bring the value back up but it is still a negative sign that the Stardom Play team should analyse and consider.

The aspect I find weakest in the Stardom Play project is the promotion. Hive offers an empowering environment and the activity of publishing, promoting and organising contests about the game is almost totally absent on Hive.

This is in my opinion a mistake because Hive offers so many utilities to promote a project...

## Evaluation of my investment in Stardom Play ### (89 days later)

Every blockchain-based game also becomes an investment for me when I decide to purchase assets (NFTs and tokens) using my liquidity from outside the game.

## Total Investment Cost

In the table below you can see the calculation of the total investment cost of my investment in Stardom Play which has been 32.79 SWAP.HIVE = $4.84 to date.

With 32.79 SWAP.HIVE I purchased:

• 3 Booster-type NFTs: 3 Hamburgers.
• 2 NFTs of type Transport:
  • 1 TR6 Grip Van.
  • 1 TR3 Street Racer

## TOTAL VALUE NFTs + REWARDS

In the following table I calculated the total market value of the NFTs I purchased and considered the lowest price of the possible payment methods (SWAP.HIVE and STARDOM). For the STARDOM tokens I have accumulated I have considered the Highest Bid value at https://hive-engine.com/trade/STARDOM.

The total value of Stardom Play assets in my possession is 28.28 SWAP.HIVE = $10.61.

## Gain from the sale of STARDOM tokens

To date, I have sold 26533 STARDOM and earned 5.21 SWAP.HIVE.

## Profit and ROI calculation

With the data I have collected, I can calculate the financial results (Profit and ROI) of my gaming activity and my investment on Stardom Play.

In 89 days I obtained a Profit of 0.71 SWAP.HIVE = $0.27

A profit of 0.71 SWAP.HIVE corresponds to a ROI of +2.17%.

In the idle games I try to reach the break-even point only by considering the total value of in-game rewards received and/or sold and therefore without considering the value of NFTs purchased.

To reach this last goal, I still have to accumulate rewards worth 26.60 HIVE.

Stardom Play NFTs have decreased in value since 13 March 2023, although this decrease was relatively small. On the other hand, the STARDOM token lost a lot of value in a 30-day time frame.

My financial results could have been much better but the fault is mine that I have decreased my play activity on Stardom Play over the past two months and did not monitor the trend in the value of the STARDOM tokens. In fact if I had monitored the value of the STARDOM tokens on at least a weekly basis I would have sold the STARDOM tokens I had accumulated in my wallet at twice the price at which I sold them a few days ago.

In blockchain games and particularly in idle games monitoring the value of game tokens frequently is always important ;)

How much time will it take for my investment to be fully covered by the value of STARDOM token rewards?

Hive è il mio progetto blockchain preferito e uno dei miei obiettivi è provare, giocare e investire in tutti gli Hive games. Sono passati quasi due mesi dal mio ultimo post su Stardom Play, post che ho pubblicato il 14 marzo 2023 e oggi condivido:

• la mia attività di gioco
• alcune considerazioni sulle dinamche di gioco e sul token STARDOM
• l'analisi del mio investimento dopo 89 giorni dalla mia iscrizione

## I miei progressi di gioco

Stardom Play è un idle games che richiede pochi click al giorno e poco tempo per essere giocato.

Sinceramente negli ultimi due mesi non sono stato molto costante nel giocare e nel completare le missioni di gioco.

Negli ultimi due mesi ho avuto diversi impegni che hanno limitato il mio tempo libero e ho dovuto per forza di cose scegliere a quali giochi dedicare più tempo e a quali giochi dedicare meno tempo. Gli idle games nella mia personale scala di valutazione sono al terzo posto perchè al primo posto ci sono i giochi che hanno un gameplay alla base come ad esempio Splinterlands e al secondo posto ci sono i giochi di farming come ad esempio dCrops e Hashkings.

Negli ultimi 60 giorni avrei potuto completare 4 missioni Violent Tower al giorno per un totale di 360 missioni completate e invece ne ho completate solo 109.

Anche se non sono stato un assiduo giocatore e ho saltato molti giorni di gioco ho raggiunto il livello di gioco 24 e sono molto vicino al livello 25.

Dovrei portare la barra della fama al 100% perchè come è ora (1%) riduce drasticamente il guadagno che posso ottenere dal completamento delle missioni.

Ad esempio la mission Violent Towers che ha un premio casuale compreso tra 250 e 750 STARDOM ha per me un premio fisso di 250 STARDOM a causa proprio della barra della fama che è all'1%.

Per non avere penalità sui premi delle missioni dovrei:

• acquistare Equipment cards
• completare le missioni Cinematography Lesson

Nei prossimi giorni utilizzerò una parte delle ricompense delle missioni da me completate per acquistare o pianificare l'acquisto di Equipment cards per poi iniziare a completare le missioni Cinematography Lesson.

Tra l'altro a breve saranno attive anche le missioni della zona 2 come annunciato da Stardom Play nel suo canale Discord e i requisiti in fan delle missioni della zona 1 saranno aumentati.

## I token STARDOM

Considero gli idle games quasi esclusivemente degli investimenti più che dei giochi e la mia strategia d'investimento è influenzata da due elementi principali:

• numero dei giocatori
• valore dei token del gioco

Non ho monitorato il valore dei token STARDOM per più di un mese e quando, pochi giorni fa, ho guardato il grafico sono stato sorpreso di vedere quanto valore ha perso il token STARDOM in meno di un mese.

L'ultima volta che ho controllato il valore dei token STARDOM era il 14 marzo 2023 e come puoi vedere dal prospetto seguente il token STARDOM ha fatto registrare le seguenti diminuzioni di valori:

• -62.24% rispetto al valore in dollari che aveva 89 giorni fa (Highest Bid Value)
• -58.17% rispetto al valore in dollari che aveva 89 giorni fa (Lowest Ask Value)

Stardom Play è un gioco giovane e questa perdita di valore non è preoccupante perchè nuove funzionalità e nuovi casi d'uso potrebbero riportare il valore in alto ma è comunque un segnale negativo che il team di Stardom Play dovrebbe analizzare e prendere in considerazione.

L'aspetto che trovo più debole nel progetto di Stardom Play è la promozione. Hive offre un ambiente potenziante e l'attività di pubblicazione, promozione e organizzazione di contest sul gioco è quasi totalmente assente su Hive.

Questo è secondo me un errore perchè Hive offre tante utilità per promuovere un progetto...

## Valutazione del mio investimento su Stardom Play ### (89 giorni dopo)

Ogni gioco basato su blockchain diventa anche un investimento per me nel momento in cui decido di acquistare assets (NFTs e tokens) utilizzando la mia liquidità esterna al gioco.

## Total Investment Cost

Nella tabella seguente puoi vedere il calcolo del costo totale del mio investimento su Stardom Play che è stato fino ad oggi di 32.79 SWAP.HIVE = 4.84$.

Con 32.79 SWAP.HIVE ho acquistato:

• 3 NFT di tipo Booster: 3 Hamburgher
• 2 NFT di tipo Transport:
  • 1 TR6 Grip Van
  • 1 TR3 Street Racer

## TOTAL VALUE NFTs + REWARDS

Nella tabella seguente ho calcolato il valore totale di mercato degli NFTs che ho acquistato e ho considerato il prezzo più basso tra i metodi di pagamento possibili (SWAP.HIVE e STARDOM). Per i token STARDOM che ho accumulato ho considerato il valore Highest Bid su https://hive-engine.com/trade/STARDOM.

Il valore totale degli assets di Stardom Play in mio possesso è di 28.28 SWAP.HIVE = 10.61$.

## Guadagno dalla vendita dei token STARDOM

Fino ad oggi ho venduto 26533 STARDOM e ho guadagnato 5.21 SWAP.HIVE.

## Calcolo del PROFIT e del ROI

Con i dati che ho raccolto posso calcolare i risultati finanziari (Profit e ROI) della mia attività di gioco e del mio investimento su Stardom Play.

In 89 giorni ho ottenuto un Profit di 0.71 SWAP.HIVE = 0.27$

Al Profitto di 0.71 SWAP.HIVE corrisponde un ROI del +2.17%

Negli idle games cerco di raggiungere il punto di break-even solo considerando il valore totale delle ricompense di gioco ricevute e/o vendute e quindi senza considerare il valore degli NFTs acquistati.

Per raggiungere quest'ultimo obiettivo devo ancora accumulare ricompense per un valore di 26.60 HIVE.

Gli NFTs di Stardom Play hanno subito una diminuzione di valore rispetto al 13 marzo 2023 anche se questa diminuzione è stata relativamente piccola. Il token STARDOM ha invece perso molto valore in un intervallo di tempo di 30 giorni.

I miei risultati finanziari potevano essere decisamente migliori ma la colpa è mia che ho diminuito l'attività di gioco su Stardom Play negli ultimi due mesi e non ho monitorato l'andamento del valore dei token STARDOM. Infatti se avessi monitorato il valore dei token STARDOM con una frequenza almeno settimanale avrei venduto i token STARDOM che avevo accumulato nel mio wallet ad un prezzo doppio rispetto al prezzo a cui li ho venduti pochi giorni fa.

Nei giochi blockchain e in particolare negli idle games monitorare il valore dei token di gioco con frequenza è sempre importante ;)

Quanto tempo occorrerà al mio investimento per essere coperto totalmente dal valore delle ricompense in STARDOM token?
