Hello friends, the last two weekends I went to Santa Maria di Leuca in Puglia. Santa Maria di Leuca is an enchanting and renamed Italian tourist destination but it is above all a place dear to me because it is full of beautiful memories.
When I am in a place, my mood is influenced by the place itself and by the activities I carry out or have done in that particular place.
The meaning that Santa Maria di Leuca has for me is contained in three words: family, sea and relaxation.
Today I want to share some photos that I took last weekend.
I'm not a photographer but I like taking pictures. From "non-photographer" my technique is as follows: when I see something I like or catch my attention I take a series of at least 20 photographs from different angles.
Will one photo out of twenty come out at least decent? I hope so :)
I leave it to you to judge the result and gladly accept criticism and advice from experienced and good users like dear @tinamarr
The promontory of Punta Meliso
The following photo I took from one of the most fascinating and suggestive places in Santa Maria di Leuca: the promontory of Punta Meliso.
On the promontory of Punta Meliso in a small space are concentrated:
- a Basilica
- a Lighthouse
- a Marian column from 1694
- a Monumental Cross
- a Monumental waterfall
- a breathtaking view

In the following photo you can see the Basilica Sanctuary of Santa Maria de Finibus Terrae and the Marian Column located a few meters from the entrance of the Basilica.

Not far away is the Monumental Cross.

The Monumental Cascade occupies one side of the promontory. It is a truly impressive work and is the terminal point of the Apulian Aqueduct.

It is only open on certain days and at certain times. On summer evenings it is illuminated by many colored lights.

I love the sea and when I look at the sea and at the same time I watch my daughter look at the sea I am really happy.

Ciao amici, i due scorsi fine settimana sono stato a Santa Maria di Leuca in Puglia. Santa Maria di Leuca è un'incantevole e rinominata località turistica italiana ma è soprattutto un luogo a me caro perchè ricco di ricordi belli.
Quando sono in un luogo il mio stato d'animo viene influenzato dal luogo stesso e dalle attività che svolgo o ho svolto in quel determinato luogo.
Il significato che ha per me Santa Maria di Leuca è racchiuso in tre parole: famiglia, mare e relax.
Oggi voglio condividere alcune foto che ho scattato lo scorso fine settimana. Non sono un fotografo ma mi piace scattare fotografie. Da "non fotografo" la mia tecnica è la seguente: quando vedo qualcosa che mi piace o attira la mia attenzione scatto una serie di almeno 20 fotografie da angolazioni differenti.
Una su venti uscirà almeno decente? Spero di si :)

Le foto seguente l'ho scattata da uno dei posti più affascinanti e suggestivi di Santa Maria di Leuca: il promontorio di Punta Meliso.
Sul promontorio di Punta Meliso in un ridotto spazio sono concentrati:
- una Basilica
- un Faro
- una Colonna Mariana del 1694
- una Croce Monumentale
- una Cascata Monumentale
- un panorama mozzafiato

La Cascata Monumentale occupa un fianco del promontorio. E' un opera davvero imponente ed è il punto terminale dell'Acquedotto Pugliese.

Viene aperta solo in alcuni giorni e a determinati orari. Nelle sere d'estate viene illuminata da tante luci colorate.

Amo il mare e quando guardo il mare e allo stesso tempo guardo mia figlia guardare il mare sono davvero felice.
