The HK games ecosystem has long since begun a process of improving the functioning of its games both from the point of view of game dynamics and ease of use.

Yesterday, April 18, 2023, a new game mode was launched in addition to the previous Raids: Ultimate Clash or Super Raids.

The launch of the new Super Raids was announced on the Hashking Discord server at 2:07 a.m. on April 19, 2023.

To play in the new Super Raids, it is necessary to access the following link: https://farm.hashkings.app/superRaids

The game mechanism of the Super Raids is different from the Raids, and the reward mechanism is also different, covering a time period of 1 week instead of 1 day. For the first week, Super Raids will distribute a Prize Pool worth 1000 HIVE as indicated on the main page of Super Raids.

The detail of all the tokens that compose the Prize Pool was published by @hashkings in a previous [post] (https://peakd.com/hashkings/@hashkings/are-you-ready-for-these-rewards-super-raids-starts-on-april-15th) from which I took the following screenshot.

In the new Super Raids you can choose from two game modes and you can play both:

• BATTLE
• BET

But remember:

• you can choose only one of the three available Raids in which to send your avatars.
• you can only make your BET on one of the three available Raids.

In the following three pictures you can see the three Raids to choose from.

Instead, in the following three pictures you can see the players in the top ranking positions for each Raid (Battle mode).

Each week only one of the three Raids will be declared the winner and the selection mechanism will be random.

Prizes will be distributed only to the winning Raids and according to the percentages shown in the table below.

Submitting your avatars on the first day of the Super Raids will be important and more convenient because increasing penalties are expected for those who submit avatars on days after the first (see screenshot below).

## Avatars and Raid Power

In the HK ecosystem games, avatar-type NFTs play an important role.

An NFT of type Avatar has 4 attributes:

• RAID POWER
• POWER BASE
• XP
• LEVEL

The most important attributes are the RAID POWER and the XP score.

The XP points are important because they allow you to obtain various benefits such as allowing you to receive rewards when you exceed LAYERED Rewards thresholds.

In Super Raids the most important element is the RAID POWER.

The RAID POWER is the result of the formula:

**XP * POWER BASE / 100**

For example, my Main Avatar is Spikebot-208, a second-generation legendary avatar in which I have stored 7048 XP so far. My Spikebot-208 has a RAID POWER of 11558.72 points.

If I sent my Spikebot-208 into the Super Raids with this Raid Power score I could rank:

• in 6th place on the Leaderboard of the first Raid
• in 3rd place on the Leaderboard of the second Raid
• in 3rd place on the Leaderboard of the third Raid.

This would obviously be a temporary placement because there are still 5 days and 7 hours left until the end of the first week of the Super Raids.

In order to increase the RAID POWER score of my main Avatar and to have a better chance of placing in the top 20 of the Super Raids rankings I could combine my main Avatar with the other avatars I have in the NFT collection.

And that's exactly what I decided to do today because having so many NFT avatars with a low RAID POWER score is not very advantageous within the HK game ecosystem.

To combine two Avatars into one Avatar you can choose between two options: FORGE and MERGE.

## FORGE or MERGE?

As written by @hashkings in one of his posts:

The Forge is still the premium version and offers higher bonuses, so it's still worth considering. Try the Merge now and see the difference for yourself!

The first important difference between FORGE and MERGE is the cost!

The FORGE operation has an increasing cost based on the rarity of the avatars used.

The cost of FORGE is expressed in two currencies because there are two payment methods that can be used:

• cost in $: payable via https://hivepay.io/ using different tokens (HIVE, LEO, BUDS (35% Discount), HBD, ...)

- **cost in FORGE Tokens** (**FT** tokens) that can be purchased and sold at https://hive-engine.com/trade/FT

Today April 19, 2023 it is much cheaper to use FT tokens to pay for FORGE operation. For example, the cost to combine two Legendary avatars can be:

• 0.5$ if you use HIVE, HBD, LEO tokens as your payment method, ...
• 0.3750$ if you use BUDS tokens as your payment method.
• 0.1240747 if you use FT tokens as your payment method.

The MERGE operation, on the other hand, has a much lower cost: 1 BUDS Thanks to the currently active promotion (35% discount), the cost is even lower: 0.65 BUDS = $0.0004667

But now it is time to move from theory to practice.

To show the working mechanisms and the differences between FORGE and MERGE, I simulated some possible cases and results of FORGE and MERGE using the Avatars I have in my collection.

### 1st Case: Combination of 2 Legendary Avatars I tried to combine **two of my legendary avatars** via the **FORGE**. In the following image you can see **the starting attributes** of the two avatars and the **result of the combination** using FORGE.

I have summarized the data of the Avatars' attributes used in FORGE in tabular form to calculate the increase of the attributes RAID POWER, XP and POWER BASE and the percentage of increase.

In the table below you can see the results of combining two legendary avatars using the FORGE (cost: 1 FT).

In the following tables you can see the results of combining the same two legendary avatars as before but using the MERGE (cost: 1 BUDS).

### **2nd Case: Combination of 1 Legendary Avatar + 1 Epic Avatar** In the following tables you can see the results of combining **1 Legendary Avatar + 1 Epic Avatar** using the **FORGE**.

In the following tables you can see the results of combining 1 Legendary Avatar + 1 Epic Avatar using the MERGE.

### **3rd Case: Combination of 1 Common Avatar + 1 Common Avatar** In the following tables you can see the results of combining **1 Common Avatar + 1 Common Avatar** using the **FORGE**.

In the following tables you can see the results of combining 1 Common Avatar + 1 Common Avatar using the MERGE.

## Analysis of results and final considerations FORGE has a higher cost than MERGE but allows for a greater increase in RAID POWER.

This increase, however, is particularly significant in the combination of Avatars that have relatively high POWER BASE and XP scores.

Based on my calculations and comparisons today I will proceed as follows:

• I will combine all Avatars of equal rarity because the combination of avatars of equal rarity guarantees a bonus
• I will use MERGE to combine avatars that have relatively low XP and POWER BASE scores
• I will use the FORGE to combine avatars that have high XP and POWER BASE scores and only after I have completed all the combinations made through the MERGE
• if I find very low prices of avatar packs on Hive Engine I will buy them and repeat the previous steps

When I have combined most of my Avatars I will send my avatar with the highest RAID POWER score in the Super Raids and at the conclusion of the first week of the super raids I will publish a post to evaluate the results I have achieved and to evaluate possible and further strategies.

# Ultimate Clash: Le Nuove Super Raids sono LIVE! + FORGE VS MERGE: Confronto, calcoli e considerazioni _{**Cover Image:** Logo image and items image owned by @hashkings - Edit by @libertycrypto27 - Fonts used are Open Source}

L'HK games ecosystem ha iniziato da tempo un processo di miglioramento del funzionamento dei suoi giochi sia dal punto di vista delle dinamiche di gioco che dal punto di vista della facilità di utilizzo.

Oggi 18 aprile 2023 è stata lanciata una nuova nuova e aggiuntiva modalità di gioco che si aggiunge alle precedenti Raids: Ultimate Clash o Super Raids.

Il lancio delle nuove Super Raids è stato annunciato sul server Discord di Hashking alle 2:07 del 19 aprile 2023.

Il meccanismo di gioco delle Super Raids è diverso rispetto alle Raids ed è diverso anche il meccanismo di ricompensa che copre un periodo di tempo di una settimana invece che di 1 giorno. Per la prima settimana le Super Raids distribuiranno un Prize Pool del valore di 1000 HIVE come indicato nella pagina principale delle Super Raids.

Il dettaglio di tutti i tokens che compongono la Prize Pool è stato pubblicato da @hashkings in un suo precedente post dal quale ho preso lo screenshot seguente.

• puoi scegliere solo una delle tre Raids disponibili in cui mandare i tuoi avatars
• puoi fare la tua BET solo su una delle tre Raids disponibili

Nelle tre immagini seguenti puoi vedere invece i giocatori nelle prime posizioni in classifica per ogni Raid e per quanto riguarda la modalità di gioco Battle.

Ogni settimana solo una delle tre Raids sarà dichiarata vincitrice e il meccanismo di scelta sarà casuale.

La distribuzione dei premi avverrà solo per la Raids vincitrice e in base alle percentuali indicate nella tabella seguente.

Inviare il proprio Avatar il primo giorno delle Super Raids sarà importante e più conveniente perchè sono previste penalità crescenti per chi invia gli avatars nei giorni successivi al primo (vedi screenshot seguente).

## Avatars e Raid Power Nei giochi dell'HK ecosystem gli NFT di tipo avatar hanno un ruolo importante.

Un NFT di tipo Avatar ha 4 attributi:

• RAID POWER
• POWER BASE
• XP
• LEVEL

Gli attributi più importanti sono il RAID POWER e il punteggio XP.

I punti XP sono importanti perchè permettono di ottenere diversi vantaggi come ad esempio permettono di ricevere delle ricompense quando si superano le soglie delle LAYERED Rewards.

Nelle Super Raids l'elemento più importante è il RAID POWER.

Il RAID POWER è il risultato della formula:

**XP * POWER BASE / 100**

Ad esempio il mio Avatar Principale è Spikebot-208, un avatar leggendario di seconda generazione in cui ho immagazzinato fino ad ora 7048 XP. Il mio Spikebot-208 ha un RAID POWER di 11558.72 punti

Se mandassi il mio Spikebot-208 nelle Super Raids con questo punteggio di Raid Power potrei posizionarmi:

• al 6 posto della Leaderboard della prima Raid
• al 3 posto della Leaderboard della seconda Raid
• al 3 posto della Leaderboard della terza Raid

Questo sarebbe ovviamente un piazzamento temporaneo perchè mancano ancora 5 giorni e 7 ore alla fine della prima settimana delle Super Raids.

Per aumentare il punteggio RAID POWER del mio Avatar principale e per avere più possibilità di posizionarmi nei primi 20 posti delle classifiche delle Super Raids potrei combinare il mio Avatar principale con gli altri avatar che ho nella collezione di NFT.

Ed è proprio quello che ho deciso di fare oggi perchè avere tanti NFT avatars con un punteggio RAID POWER basso non è molto vantaggioso all'interno dell'HK game ecosystem.

Per combinare due Avatars in un unico Avatar è possibile scegliere tra due possibilità: FORGE e MERGE.

La prima importante differenza tra FORGE e MERGE è il costo!

L'operazione di FORGE ha un costo crescente in base alla rarità degli avatars utilizzati.

Il costo del FORGE è espresso in due valute perchè sono due i metodi di pagamento utilizzabili:

• costo in $: pagabile tramite https://hivepay.io/ utilizzando diversi token (HIVE, LEO, BUDS (35% Discount), HBD, ...)

- **costo in FORGE Token** (**FT** tokens) acquistabili e vendibili su https://hive-engine.com/trade/FT

Oggi 19 aprile 2023 è molto più conveniente utilizzare gli FT tokens per pagare l'operazione di FORGE. Ad esempio il costo per combinare due avatars Leggendari può essere di:

• 0.5$ se usi come metodo di pagamento i token HIVE, HBD, LEO, ...
• 0.3750$ se usi come metodo di pagamento i token BUDS
• 0.1240747 se usi come metodo di pagamento i token FT

L'operazione di MERGE ha invece un costo molto più basso: 1 BUDS Grazie alla promozione attualmente attiva (35% di sconto) il costo è ancora più basso: 0.65 BUDS = 0.0004667$

Ma adesso è il momento di passare dalla teoria alla pratica.

Per mostrare i meccanismi di funzionamento e le differenze tra FORGE e MERGE ho simulato alcuni possibili casi e risultati del FORGE e del MERGE utilizzando gli Avatars che ho nella mia collezione.

### 1° Caso: Combinazione di 2 Avatar Leggendari Ho provato a combinare **due miei avatar leggendari** tramite il **FORGE**. Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere **gli attributi di partenza** dei due avatar e il **risultato della combinazione** utilizzando il FORGE.

Ho sintetizzato i dati degli attributi degli Avatars utilizzati nel FORGE in forma tabellare per calcolare l'incremento degli attributi RAID POWER, XP e POWER BASE e la percentuale di incremento.

Nella tabella seguente puoi vedere i risultati della combinazione di due avatar leggendari usando il FORGE (costo: 1 FT).

Nelle tabelle seguenti puoi vedere i risultati della combinazione degli stessi due avatar leggendari di prima ma usando il MERGE (costo: 1 BUDS).

### **2° Caso: Combinazione di 1 Avatar Leggendario + 1 Avatar Epico** Nelle tabelle seguenti puoi vedere i risultati della combinazione di **1 Avatar Leggendario + 1 Avatar Epico** usando il **FORGE**.

Nelle tabelle seguenti puoi vedere i risultati della combinazione di 1 Avatar Leggendario + 1 Avatar Epico usando il MERGE.

### **3° Caso: Combinazione di 1 Avatar Comune + 1 Avatar Comune** Nelle tabelle seguenti puoi vedere i risultati della combinazione di **1 Avatar Comune + 1 Avatar Comune** usando il **FORGE**.

Nelle tabelle seguenti puoi vedere i risultati della combinazione di 1 Avatar Comune + 1 Avatar Comune usando il MERGE.

## Analisi dei risultati e considerazioni finali

Il FORGE ha un costo maggiore rispetto al MERGE ma permette di ottenere un incremento maggiore del RAID POWER.

Questo incremento però è particolarmente significativo nella combinazione di Avatars che hanno punteggi POWER BASE e XP relativamente alti.

Nel caso di combinazione di Avatar comuni la differenza di incremento del punteggio RAID POWER è relativamente minima.

In base ai calcoli e ai confronti che ho effettuato oggi io procederò in questo modo:

• combinerò tutti gli Avatar di uguale rarità perchè la combinazione di avatar di uguale rarità garantisce un bonus
• utilizzerò il MERGE per combinare gli avatars che hanno punteggi XP e POWER BASE relativamente bassi
• utilizzerò il FORGE per combinare gli avatars che hanno punteggi XP e POWER BASE alti e solo dopo che avrò completato tutte le combinazioni fatte tramite il MERGE
• se troverò prezzi molto bassi dei pacchi di avatar su Hive Engine li comprerò e ripeterò i passi precedenti

Quando avrò combinato la maggior parte dei miei Avatars manderò il mio avatar con il punteggio RAID POWER maggiore nelle Super Raids e alla conclusione della prima settimana delle super raids pubblicherò un post per valutare i risultati che avrò ottenuto e per valutare possibili e ulteriori strategie.

Spero di averti dato informazioni utili e soprattutto spero di averti mostrato quanto fare calcoli e valutazioni in un gioco di farming è sempre molto importante.
