Untamed packs: Estimated Value, Expected Profit, and 5 packs of cards opened

Hi Hivers and Splinterlands players, the estimated value of the Untamed card packs has grown from the past and today July 3, 2021 is:

$3,128 (as calculated by https://peakmonsters.com/)
3.081$ (according to the calculations of the site https://www.splintercards.com/)

Both of the above estimated values refer to the case when you open a pack of cards and you are in possession of 5 legendary potions and 5 alchemical potions. In the case where you do not have potions the estimated value decreases, but opening a card pack without having a sufficient number of potions is not advisable.

On 31 May 2021 I calculated the difference between the purchase cost and the estimated value and I bought 110 packs of cards from the Splinterlands website and spent 200000 DEC tokens. At that time the estimated value of a pack of Untamed cards was $2.32 and I spent $1.65 for each pack of cards I purchased.

Based on today's estimated value of a pack of Untamed cards my expected profit is even higher and is $1.42855

Until today I have opened only 53 packs of Untamed cards because I didn't have enough potions and since I play Splinterlands regularly I don't need to buy potions from the Splinterlands Shop but I just have to wait to find them in the chests received from the completion of daily missions or from the conclusion of Splinterlands seasons (every 15 days). Thanks to the reward I received from Splinterlands for the end of the last season (on June 30) I accumulated enough potions to open 5 packs of Untamed cards. But before showing the cards I found inside the card packs I want to show the calculations about the expected profit for those who want to buy the Untamed card packs today July 3, 2021.

Today it is no longer possible to buy Untamed card packs from Splinterlands website but you can buy them from external marketplaces like HiveEngine/LeoDex/TribalDex.

In this case, however, the estimated profit per pack of cards is negative.

Untamed card packs can also be bought and sold on the WAX blockchain but on Atomic Hub I didn't find any sale offer.

I found a much more interesting price on https://liotes.com/index.php/product-category/to-buy/splinterlands/

To purchase you need to use LEN tokens which are Hive second level tokens created by the @liotes account that can be purchased on Hive Engine/LeoDex/Tribaldex.

In this case the purchase price is lower than the one currently on Hive Engine and the estimated profit is a positive value: +$0.282

Another alternative is to buy packs of Untamed cards in private transactions directly from other players but in this case you have to be careful and I recommend to buy only from users you have total trust.

Now I show you what I found in the 5 packs of Untamed cards that I opened today.

To calculate the total value of the cards I found in the opened packs of cards I use the useful tool of the site https://monstermarket.io/ - Analyze Openings

As you can see from the following image I found:

17 common cards
5 rare cards
1 epic card
1 common golden card
1 rare golden card

The total value of the cards is 9.511$ while the card with the highest value I found was the Death Elemental - Gold Version card (4.1$).

From the opening of the 5 packs of Untamed cards I got a profit of 1.24$.

I was not lucky because according to the estimated value I should have had an expected profit of $7.14.

5 packs of cards is very little to expect the estimated value to be an accurate value. The estimated value of a Splinterlands card pack is not a certain value and becomes increasingly reliable and accurate when card packs are over 500 units.

With the 5 packs of cards opened today I opened a total of 58 packs of Untamed cards out of 110 packs and so far I have made a profit of $53.66

Entrambi i valori stimati sopra indicati si riferiscono al caso in cui quando si apre un pacco di carte si è in possesso di 5 pozioni leggendarie e 5 pozioni alchemiche. Nel caso in cui non si possiedono pozioni il valore stimato diminuisce ma aprire un pacco di carte senza avere un numero sufficiente di pozioni non è consigliabile.

Il 31 maggio 2021 ho calcolato la differenza tra costo di acquisto e valore stimato e ho comprato 110 pacchi di carte dal sito di Splinterlands ed ho speso 200000 token DEC. In quell'occasione il valore stimato di un pacco di carte Untamed era di 2.32$ e io ho speso 1.65$ per ogni pacco di carte da me acquistato.

In base al valore odierno del valore stimato di un pacco di carte Untamed il mio profitto atteso è ancora maggiore ed è di 1.42855$

Fino ad oggi ho aperto solo 53 pacchi di carte Untamed perchè non avevo un numero di pozioni sufficiente e dato che gioco regolarmente a Splinterlands non ho l'esigenza di comprare le pozioni dallo Shop di Splinterlands ma devo solo aspettare di trovarle nei forzieri ricevuti dal completamento delle missioni giornaliere o dalla conclusione delle stagioni di Splinterlands (ogni 15 giorni). Grazie alla ricompensa ricevuta da Splinterlands per la fine dell'ultima stagione (il 30 giugno) ho accumulato un numero sufficiente di pozioni per aprire 5 pacchi di carte Untamed. Ma prima di mostrare le carte che ho trovato all'interno voglio mostrare i calcoli relativi al profitto atteso per chi vuole comprare i pacchi di carte Untamed oggi 3 luglio 2021.

Oggi non è più possibile comprare i pacchi di carte Untamed dal sito di Splinterlands ma è possibile acquistarli da mercati esterni come HiveEngine/LeoDex/TribalDex.

In questo caso però il profitto stimato per pacco di carte è negativo.

I pacchi di carte Untamed possono essere messi in vendita anche sulla blockchain WAX ma su Atomic Hub non ho trovato nessuna offerta di vendita.

Ho trovato un prezzo molto più interessante sul sito https://liotes.com/index.php/product-category/to-buy/splinterlands/

Per l'acquisto è necessario utilizzare i token LEN che sono token di secondo livello di Hive creati dall'account @liotes

In questo caso il prezzo di acquisto è inferiore a quello attualmente presente su Hive Engine e il profitto stimato è un valore positivo: +0.282$

Un ulteriore alternativa è acquistare i pacchi di carte Untamed in transazioni private direttamente da altri giocatori ma in questo caso bisogna stare attenti e io consiglio di comprare solo da utenti di cui si ha una totale fiducia.

Adesso ti mostro cosa ho trovato nei 5 pacchi di carte Untamed che ho aperto oggi.

Per il calcolo del valore totale delle carte che ho trovato nei pacchi di carte aperti utilizzo l'utile tool del sito https://monstermarket.io/ - Analyze Openings

Come puoi vedere dall'immagine seguente ho trovato:

17 carte comuni
5 carte rare
1 carta epica
1 carta comune dorata
1 carta rara dorata

Il valore totale delle carte è di 9.511$ mentre la carta dal valore più alto che ho trovato è stata la carta Death Elemental - Versione Gold (4.1$).

Dall'apertura dei 5 pacchi di carte Untamed ho ottenuto un profitto di 1.24$

Non sono stato fortunato perchè in base al valore stimato avrei dovuto avere un profitto atteso di 7.14 $.

5 pacchi di carte sono davvero pochi per aspettarsi che il valore stimato sia un valore accurato. Il valore stimato di un pacco di carte di Splinterlands non è un valore certo e diventa sempre più attendibile e accurato quando i pacchi di carte sono superiori alle 500 unità.

Con i 5 pacchi di carte aperti oggi ho aperto in totale 58 pacchi di carte Untamed su 110 pacchi e fino ad ora ho ottenuto un profitto di 53.66$
